This is my second SF Motyl and I have a third on the way. Fingers crossed that third time's the charm!
My stats: 26GG/H according to the ABTF calculator, slightly FOT, firm tissue, tall and narrow roots, center full, close set and functionally high set.
The Look: This bra's lace and straps is a very hot pink color, the lower part of the cup is covered in a soft and stiff fabric that has a vague floral poppy print. The straps and gore have white butterfly decorations. It looks adorable with an off the shoulder top, it looks like two butterflies are perched on your shoulders.
The Fit: The immediate ...projection on this one just isn't quite enough for me, it's the same problem I had with it in 60GG. The band also runs snug for a 55, it fits almost like a 24. The straps are super wide set but what else do you expect with ewa. The cups technically fit but I like a more compressed feel in my bras to truly feel supported. It gives a pretty round profile and the stretch lace is endless on it. It's almost as stretchy as the antonina's lace. If it weren't for me preferring a tighter fit in the cups I'd have kept this as it's utterly adorable and the immediate projection issue is hardly noticeable.
Overall impression: Look 10/10, fit 9/10, construction 9/10, comfort 8/10, quality 10/10. I think the aesthetic of the bra is perfect, this is a technically good fit for me aside from the straps and IP so I'll call it 9/10 but for my personal preferences the fit is 6/10. Construction is solid, just that pesky strap issue. Comfort is also good but the band runs a bit snug and I suspect I'd want to break it in with an extender and the straps are way too wide set for most women. Quality is as amazing as I expect from Ewa. Read more 216 more words
Putting this bra on reminded me of how I felt the first time I tried Ewa Michalak. I've found with this brand you don't really notice when the bras get a little too small - you just get a slightly flattened appearance and less 'oomph'. This is what has happened with my old EMs. When I put this on, my breasts were incredibly upfront, with great cleavage and a rounded shape. This bra has the removable pads featured in many EM bras. These can be used to correct asymmetry or to give extra cleavage. I'm really glad I went for the 55H, as my old 60Gs were too loose in ...the band and too small in the cup. The band is good on this one, but the other 55 I ordered at the same time was too tight and I need an extender. The bands are very variable with EM. I prefer to order the smallest size I think I could need and then use an extender if necessary. Unfortunately 60 bands and smaller are non-returnable so it's mostly guesswork figuring out what size you'll need (unless you're willing to order a 65 band to test it out first). The band on this has stretched out a small amount in the couple of months I've owned it, but I'm still on the loosest hook. The look of the bra is really nice - it's a rich purple shade with black lace overlay. It feels very well-made and the matching knickers are also nice, but are not an obvious match with the bra because all of the purple fabric in them is covered with the black lace, instead of leaving some uncovered like on the bra. It looks like the high-waisted briefs would be a more obvious match. The set still goes together well, just not in the way I expected. The bra is great for wearing under some of my Polish clothing from Urkye and BiuBiu, because I often find their tops are designed for bras like these with an upfront shape. It's also good for a night out when I want cleavage on show, but I don't tend to wear it to the office or in other situations demanding a more demure look! It makes me look very busty from the side, which I don't always like. The wires on this bra are quite uncomfortable. It's like they've been bent into a shape that's not like mine. The centre gore is nice and low, but the wires dig in because they curve towards my body. Same at the other end of the underwire. I haven't yet managed to bend it into a shape more like my own, so I'm wearing it a little bit at a time in the hope that it'll mould to my shape better soon. It's not so uncomfortable that I can't wear it, but I am left with red marks when I take it off. Read more 378 more words
This is the first EM I've tried, and it's SO pretty. There are many things I like about it: the color and fabric are lovely, the wires narrow and short under my armpits, my breasts separated but still projected forward, and the cups are a good height. The straps are definitely wider than I'd prefer, but still wearable. My breasts are about 1 size different, and for some reason this bra seems to showcase this more than most, with slight gaping on my small breast, and lots of cleavage and some quadding on my large breast.
The band on this is very small (only a very tiny portion of it stretches at all), and the straps are quite short. All my other EM bras I have had to alter the straps shorter, but I have these ones as long as they will go.
As usual the shape is fantastic, this is a cup volume smaller than I would normally wear, but is just gives more fantastic cleavage due to the open top cup shape.
Gorgeous bra, I would go for a 60G next time. My underbust measures 62cm so I thought this one would fit (even knowing EM runs snug) but I can only clasp it with help and definitely prefer a looser band (I don't have that much squish!). Cups run slightly smaller than the HP Cielus. I love the design in this bra - it fit my rounder boob best in the shape. For my shallow on bottom breast it looked poor. I believe this is because I have soft tissue. It gives my preferred shape and is accentuating rather than minimising.
Update after owning it for several months: band size is working well for me, filling out better thanks to remigrated tissue! Spilling out the slightest bit on the larger breast.
