This is a custom SF style bra, based off the Arlekin CHP but without the daisy lace trim, and of course with the addition of the top stretch lace. I was given the option of black or white upper lace, and I chose Black since I felt it would accentuate the black ribbons nicely.
Price was 299pln which at the time of conversion equaled 88.16 USD not including shipping. The standard CHP Arlekin price is 179PLN, so this one was 120PLN above standard, ouch. This was even more than the custom SF Porto, which had an 80PLN custom fee, though a higher overall ...price. This was part of my VDay present from my hubby, so I still ordered it.
Now for the measurements: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 21.75” and stretches to a max of 27”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.25” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.75”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The cup height is 9.75”, width 6.15”, gore is 4.5” tall and 0.55” wide, with a wing height of 4.5”.
As with SF Porto, I was worried about the cup depth since it is smaller than most of my 60KK SFs that are too small. Yet just like with SF Porto, this one somehow magically fits. The gore sits 1.5 fingers off the gore, and the cups feel like a good fit, a bit better than the SF Porto. The straps are wide set, like all of them, and the base of the cup has the SF signature wrinkle https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> which is standard for the style so not a fit issue. Overall, I am happy with it, though I haven’t worn it yet aside for a few minutes for photos and fit assessment.
It is gorgeous and I do love the look! Read more 382 more words
Every so often I’ll second guess my size and buy one in a size down just to make sure, and so with the sale pricing I went ahead and got this one in both 60KK and 60L. All the data is worth it, right? ☺Besides, I do love getting the same bra in dual sizes at the same time to compare the differences better.
S Porto is a padded balcony bra, with light foam lined cups and removable cookies in pockets. In this size range there are 4 parts to the cup, 3 lower sections with two vertical seams, and an upper horizontal section. ...The color is a beautiful wine purplish-red with black accents. The lower part of the cups has a lovely satiny flower/leaf pattern while the top half is lace with a black satin ribbon between. The gore is lace and the wing matches the bottom of the cups. The band is a semi sheer tulle with a lot of stretch to it. Like with the BM, this one has a double diamond dangle on the gore.
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.875”” and stretches to a max of 28.25” on the 60L and 23” to a max of 29.75” on the 60KK. Both bras have 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops. Since the band materials are the same, yet the stretch tension is different, I have come to the conclusion that the wires are different, with the 60L having a stronger wire that resists distortion better.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.5” (60L) & 12.375” (60KK)
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.55” (60L) & 14.5” (60KK)
The close up photo of the cups and gore shows that the ribbon that goes across the cup horizontally isn’t sewn on tight, so it allows for the cups to stretch a bit more than some of the ribbon lined cups, but not as much as the cups without a horizontal ribbon. If that ribbon was looser or removed, it would have more stretch, but isn’t bad as it is. This ribbon can be problematic for softer tissue and small cups, as it will result in the dreaded in-cup quadding.
To compare the two sizes, 60L is only ½” taller in the cup and seriously only 0.05” deeper, but the top of the cup is more open allowing for more room for the “up” squish without quadding. The cup width and wing are identical while the gore is slightly lower on the 60KK.
As for fit, the bands feel stretchy and not as supportive as they should even on the tightest setting. The cups on the 60L are fine and full, but the 60KK cuts in a bit too much, so the more open top of the 60L was a good thing. I would prefer a 6” wire for more projection and less E-W side pull, but the 6.25” typically don’t feel horrible on Ewa bras. As usual, I still feel like I get more of an East West look with the padded bras, and this one isn’t any different. Under a baggie sweatshirt it really doesn’t matter though, so the 60L is a keeper. ☺
I also ordered the matching panties, which has the same satiny pattern material in the front, and a sexy sheer bikini style back with the same dual diamond dangle on the backside. The 38(10) measures 66cm flat to 89cm stretched, though it is supposed to be for a 91-96cm hip range, so it runs small. I requested these in a 36(8) but didn’t correct Kaska when she wrote up the invoice as the 38 (10), and in this case, I am glad as a size down would most likely have felt less comfortable.
Hmm..there really doesn't seem to be of a difference between the cup wise..I wonder if as you go higher in the padded cups something about the foam affects the construction? I don't see how..but I know next to nothing about sewing. But I guess, this is where the open top comes in handy?
Frazzleberry IMO the S just gets taller and not very much deeper on each cup size increase. It seems like KK+ cup that you get two vertical seams instead of one, which is nice.
Sovavosi oooh kk, I wonder why this happens though :/
The colour look great on you!
Frazzleberry I think Ewa has this idea that more projection should be directly under the chin instead of out front. ;-) Seriously though, the larger the cups vs band Ewa gets worried about the bottom of the cups being able to handle the horizontal weight of the breasts if there's too much projection, so she goes up instead of out. The foam is easy to crease and without reinforcement, any more projection in this band size would easily result in cup failure. :-\
I think she grades weird instead of adjusting the design when she makes these in this size range. There is still EM style depth and projection I guess but it looks like it's out on the side, as opposed where a 60L boob would need it. Notice how the apex of the cups is way further out than the wearer's--the cups are positioned and made in such a way that it is bound to create an east-west orientation, which a very heavy boob can only partly adapt to as you point out, because gravity and shape mean they want to fall to the center-- not fly out to the sides like winged monkeys! I think to really customize this to a very small back and very ample bust, the cup shape would need real rethinking, apex moved up and in, diagonal seam position adjusted, and at least one seam would have to be added on the inner lower quadrant of the cups to round out that portion of the cup and allow for the breasts to sit more centered on the body as they will inevitably want to do in this size range.
Quite true wendybien. If she opted for the 6" wires like she uses in most of her bras in this size range, I feel it would help as well. That would put a bit more depth out front and confine them better instead of encouraging the breasts to part ways, haha.
I now have a sudden desire to watch Wizard of Oz ......! :-)
Oh yes absolutely, the whole "EM is awesome with their narrow wires" selling-point is not very well-represented by her work in this range, these wires end quite far back, considering.
Beautiful colour and style. Are you high or low tide in the pictures? I think that the 60L is a better fit than 60KK, but if you're high tide then maybe it's going to be a bit better fit in low tide? Which one do you like better...the S or BM style?
if i didnt have 6 well-fitting bras i really might consider asking for that in an FB. but at this point i dont even want more bras in my drawer
Calluna I am at low tide, first day of my period when I took all the photos which is typically my lowest "bust" day for the month. The 60L should work for most days aside from highest tide day(s), and the 60KK shall be a "just in case I lose breast mass" back up bra & tucked away with the 60K BMs I tried earlier this year, so a valued part of my bra arsenal all the same. :-)
I prefer the BM over the S style hands down. I like the way they look on my body far better and the BM is all over comfortable to me. As Sovavosi stated a while back, S style puts the breasts on lockdown so they feel more secure but definitely make me look wider and I feel my boobs against my arms all day, making me hyper aware of them, while I don't get that feeling in the BM. (The PL style is the same as S, while SF is like BM to me.)
I do like the look of the S style bra in this pattern as the bottom of the cup is so beautiful.
I just need to stop trying the padded versions, but they are so pretty, I just can't help myself!!
@dbmamaz With the new sale today, you know you are tempted to buy though!! Great prices.....how can you resist? ;-)
@wendybien True, but Ewa 6.25" is still a whole lot better than the Panache 7" in this range. Honestly Ewa 6.25" feels a 1000x better than Comexim 6.25" which are a disaster on me. I know it's a domino effect in which the cup design is a major catalyst to failure, but I cannot figure out how to get Comexim to work regardless.

MamaPagan I find it hard to resist padded bras as well cause they are so gorgeous, but knowing how they fit me it's easier.
brasaremean I think I will resist the PL Zenith new release, but it is tempting. I will have to get the SFs & BM though! When the unpadded choices are plentiful it makes it easier as well. :-D
MamaPagan oh yes I have seen only fails from Comexim in this size range unfortunately. I think they genuinely don't understand the physics involved somehow--it's weird. What I don't get about EM is that I'm pretty sure she DOES know how this ought to be tweaked to make it work, so... why doesn't she do it? Is it because the customs would cost even more due to the extra grading and new patterns needed? I think she has a bee in her bonnet about people ordering ultra small bands and therefore has a mental block about working as seriously on adapting those designs for optimal support the way she does for large band/large cup for example.
You are so right with that one wendybien! Yet, if neither have a small rib big busted woman in front of them, it would be more difficult to envision let alone create. The closest would be Gosia (for Ewa) but her current size is 65HH which is a bit smaller that this. Honestly she often looks to be in the wrong size as well, but that is a whole conversation in itself.
With replies to my inquiries and orders I can gather that this size isn't that common and Ewa's general idea is if someone orders it, they are trying to force themselves into a smaller band/larger cup for vanity purposes. The smug replies did disappear after I sent bra on photos at each angle (including back) for both padded and unlined styles though.
Also I was told today that the "no" to certain style or model in the range is due to the seamstresses saying no, not Ewa. If they don't feel it will work, it won't be done. Yet as my wise and beautiful friend Sovavosi told me, you wouldn't want them doing something they feel incapable of doing correctly, and that is 100% true. :-)
The SF and BM styles are done beautifully in my range so I really can't complain! Seriously, they are spectacular, especially in comparison to the UK options.
After reading and thinking about seaming, I think one of the reasons why very large bust bras have vertical seams farther from center is because of the problem of center tissue. The gore divides the breasts into two and there is only so much room horizontally to place the breast if you are narrow rooted. The only way to work around the gore is to literally have the cup come into the center around the gore, like this: )(
At least that’s the way it is with me. When I lift my breasts they look like this: ( )( ) so I assume that for that tissue to really be held at a natural position the cup would have to be sewn to allow for this.
Maybe this is just me because of my omega shape but I do know that a lack of stability in my bras is mostly due to a lack of center room, and that almost none of my bras have the s center room allowance. Unless a bra is very plunging (more so than any bra on the market in my size), I’m going to have to deal with this lack of center space. I wonder if there are any really large cup bra makers that deal with this problem well?
Sorry, totally off topic, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot so wendybien’s comments made me muse.
You are spot on in your experience and theory cupandahalf. My breasts do the exact same thing when I support them with my hands, so it's not just an omega shape issue.
Some day we all just need to take a Poland road trip and offer our breasts to Ewa (& Comexim) for templates and scaling assistance. When we win the lotto, it is so planned!! Passports and plane tickets all around! :-D
Can you imagine how dangerous a Bratabase bra company could be? With the consolidated mind power we have here, no other brand would stand a chance. LeProfessor can work on implementing this plan :-)
SF Porto is a custom SF, designed in the S Porto pattern. I have S Porto in 60KK and 60L, as well as BM Porto in 60KK. I really love the look of S Porto, but not the fit it gives on my body, so I asked if I could get a BM or SF with that patterned bottom cup, and Kaśka said yes to the SF.
The price for this one was a bit of a shocker, as the S Porto costs 229pln and this one 309pln, which at the time of purchase equaled $91.10 USD not including shipping. That is an ...80PLN fee for the custom style which is double the typical price to date of 40-60PLN. Needless to say I still ordered it (Happy V-Day present from hubby) haha.
Now for the measurements: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.88” and stretches to a max of 29”.
This measurement is: 14”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
Cup height is 9.5” and 6.15” wide, with the gore at 4” tall and 0.63” wide. The wing is 4.4”.
I was really nervous when I measured the depth, as this is lower than most of my 60KK SFs, which are too small in the cup. Yet by magic or miracle, the cup construction makes this bra actually fit, so I can’t complain. The gore does sit 2 fingers off my sternum but I don’t see any quadding and the lace doesn’t look too tensed aside from at the center. The base felt a bit constrictive, and as with most SFs, there is wrinkling at the bottom of the cup, but this seems to be a signature aspect of the style, haha, as even Ewa models have it. ☺ The straps are wide set, but didn’t feel terrible while wearing for a few minutes. I will update the fit if any assumptions change after wear.
I love the look, even better than the S Porto since it doesn’t have that black horizontal ribbon on the cup. It is such a gorgeous bra, photos do not do it justice at all. Read more 435 more words
I love this logic, and I know it's right. But I have almost 20 bras in my drawer and they all fit well - and will keep doing so as I gain and lose weight everywhere but on my breasts. So I (usually, I do have exceptions) try to buy a new one for every bra worn to death. Usually I'm fine with that, just sometimes there are too many beautiful options. I should not complain at all, I guess ;)
Yes, but 21 well fitting bras is a full three weeks of laundry free bra wearing pleasure!! :-D
SF Gładzioch Czekolada Deserowa (translates to Dessert Chocolate) is a smooth lace free SF style bra in a gorgeous dark brown. The material has a matte finish that is silky smooth. As with all the SFs, the upper section is stretchy allowing for variation in size while the lower section is firm and supportive. In this size (60L) the cup construction consists of 3 lower sections with two vertical seams, an upper stretch tulle section above the horizontal seam, and the Ewa signature outer wedge that connects the straps to the cups securely. The SF style is not padded, but the bottom of the cup is stiffened for ...more support.
This one was ordered from our very own MagdaBras4you, who is a treasure here in our bra community. If you are looking for Polish lingerie items, she is the one to speak to. She can get them all, and there are dozens of brands to choose from!
As for fit, I love this one. The smooth laceless look with a silky soft feel. It is absolutely wonderful. The gore sits 1.25 fingers off my sternum, but aside from that, this one is perfect for me. The only complaint is that, like the others, this one has the cheaper thinner straps that Ewa is now using. The straps are not a deal breaker for this bra though, as it is comfortable and so silky smooth!
For the mathematical specifics of the bra: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

Oh, that's a lovely functional balanced fit here ! An example of what to look for. The hugging must be great given the well mastered and anchored projection.
Love to learn on how it's done !
Wish you that many and even much more delightful moments inside !
Mathy
That looks great, and I am glad that it’s a good fit barring the thinner straps. I didn’t realize that the name translated to chocolate dessert. Neat! The colour almost makes me feel the pics are in a sepia filter. I might have to look at the smooth SF. My ears are pricked with curiosity.
You look amazing in it! ✨Thank you for your trust.💓💋
Thanks everyone. 💙
@Calluna if it wasn't for my colorful tattoos, the photos would have that sepia feel, haha! I love earthy tones, so the bra blends well with the wood paneling and brown paint of our bathroom. 😄
I like how well the bra color mutes my pink splotchy skin. 💕 Beige bras tend to amplify my "off" tones while the mid to darker browns accentuate them well. 💕 At least to me they do! 😍
wow, i love that. and it would be a great basic for women with darker skin, too
SF Iris 60L (and 60KK) I bought SF Iris during the opening weekend sale, and though it shipped on 11/30, it didn’t arrive until 1/7/19. When I ordered it (mid Nov) I was at about a 50% fit rate for the 60KK SF bras, so I figured I would take advantage of the sale and purchase this one (and Zenith) in both a 60KK and the 60L. For simplicity sake, I am reviewing them both together here.
Iris is a gorgeous purple. The bottom has a beautiful pattern yet is smooth, while the top is a purple lace. The inside of the bra is lined in black, and the ...band is also black. It is the standard SF style, which has a stiffer bottom cup with stretch lace on top. This typically provides more support than the BM but without any padding to add bulk.
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 23” and stretches to a max of 29” on the 60L and 22” to 28.75” on the 60KK. They both have 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.2” on 60KK & 12.5” on 60L 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.2” on 60KK & 15” on 60L
The 60KK Cup height is 8.75” with a 4.5” Wing, 4.15” gore, and 6” width The 60L height is 9.5” with a 4.625” wing, gore 4” and 6.125” width
Needless to say the measurements are disappointing, as there is not enough of an increase from the 60KK to the 60L to justify calling it a full cup up. I have a few 60KK SF bras that measure the same max cup depth, so this isn’t a true 60L cup. I had Magda ask about getting this one (and Zenith) in a 60LL, but she was told no. I had to push for months to get Ewa to be willing to allow me to get the 60L, so I imagine that I can work this no into a yes with a little bit of requesting and persuasion Kaska, and hopefully they won’t sell out of them before I can do so. Even if that one is too big, I still want it for comparison on the sizing, as this 60KK to 60L cup scaling cannot be correct. :/
As for fit, I didn’t bother with even trying on the 60KK based on the fit of my other ones, and the fit of the 60L. The band feels loose on the tightest hook-set. The gore is just under 2 fingers off my sternum, otherwise the cups feel tight but not terrible within the few minutes of wear. Read more 503 more words
Sorry to hear it's not a perfect fit, but oh my that colour looks gorgeous on you!
Thank you :-) It really is a gorgeous purple!!
This reminds me of the J/JJ measurements... she just makes them taller instead of deeper. Awful :(
I seriously have 2 SFs in 60KK with the same depth (Szaron and Kobalt) so it is difficult for me to think this is a true 60L. It's really no taller either....All 3 of the 60L have a max of 15" depth.
I sent Kaśka an inquiry last night about the 60LL but she hasn't replied. I also have prepared my rebuttal statement for the no she will inevitably give me, listing the depth of each SF I have received and my breast perimeter etc. :-D
SF Czarny Gładzioch is a smooth lace free SF style bra in all black. The material is silky smooth with a shiny instead of matte appearance. As with all the SFs, the upper section is stretchy allowing for asymmetry and variation in size. In this size (60L) the cup construction consists of 3 lower sections with two vertical seams, an upper horizontal stretch tulle section above the horizontal seam, and the Ewa signature outer wedge that connects the straps to the cups securely. The SF style is not padded, but the bottom of the cup is stiffened for more support.
I ordered this bra (along with the other 4) ...from MagdaBras4you. If you have not had the pleasure of ordering from her yet, I strongly recommend it. Her service is impeccable!
As for fit, the band is super comfy on the tightest hook set, with the gore being a hair under 2 fingers off my sternum. The cups are otherwise smooth and dreamy. Like with both my smooth brown SFs I have, this one is also super comfortable and I love the look, fit, and feel of it. As with the others within this order, my only complaint would be the thinner straps, but those are not a deal breaker on these bras. They are still wearable and comfortable, just not the quality as I’m used to.
This is officially my last Ewa bra review! I am taking a bra buying hiatus, and if I have the will power (& my size doesn’t change), I won’t be buying any more bras for 4 years. I do have one more bra (Decent Exposures) on the way, which will be more of a temptation to buy in the near future than Ewa at this point. I have a good solid stock of both SF and BMs which are my favorite styles, so I am not in need of any more wired bras. I could on the other hand use a few more wireless for both day and night, as who doesn’t need a good lounge and sleep bra? I prefer to only wear a bra once before putting it in the wash, so a few more wireless are quite tempting……
Now for the technical aspect: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 21.75” and stretches to a max of 27.15”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

SF Szaron is a grayish blue patterned SF style bra, with peachy pink trim/accents and a pink pompom at the gore. As with all the SFs, the upper section is stretchy allowing for asymmetry and variation in size. In this model and size (60L) the cup construction consists of 3 lower sections with two vertical seams, an upper horizontal unlined stretch lace section above the horizontal seam, and the Ewa signature outer wedge that connects the straps to the cups securely. The SF style is not padded, but the bottom of the cup is stiffened for more support.
I ordered this one from the amazing MagdaBras4you...who offers excellent pricing and service for almost all the Polish bra brands. The SF is my current favorite style by Ewa (alternating between the SF and BM depending on my hormones, haha) and with a recent size change, I was trying to build up my SF stock in my current size. While I am not a fan of pink, I do like the grayish blue color and pattern of this bra. I previously tried it in 60KK, which when it fit was quite comfortable. It is reviewed separately.
As for fit, the gore sits 1.5 fingers off the sternum but the cups are otherwise comfortable and perfect to me. The band is oddly comfy on the tightest hook set, as I expected to be on a middle setting with it being under 27” stretched. No matter, as long as it’s comfy then I am happy, and I have yet to experience any Ewa bra band stretching out, so I am not concerned with it loosing its tension. I like that the upper lace isn’t tulle lined like most of the SF/BM bras are. I feel this adds a bit more femininity to the bra, though I’m not sure why I view it that way.
I can’t say for sure (as I’m honestly too lazy to pull the 60KK out of storage) but I swear that the trim and straps are a different color now compared to the 60KK I got last year. I thought the prior was more pink, while this one is definitely a peachy pink, with the offsetting pompom still being straight pink. I’m not sure if this change is just in my mind and failed memory, or due to the changing of the straps from the wonderful thicker straps to the current thinner flimsy straps that have been on my last two orders.
Now for the technicals: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22” and stretches to a max of 26.75”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops. Yes, this band only stretches to 26.75”! While I love this fact, I know this would be quite problematic for anyone who needs a true 28 band.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.5” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 15.25”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. SM Yennefer is an unlined black lace bra. The cup construction in this size (60L) has 3 lower sections with 2 vertical seams, an upper section above the horizontal seam, plus an outer wedge section that connects the strap to the cup. The band is a thin sheer tulle. As with all SM style bras, the lace has no stretch to it, and not a lot of give. This provides firm support but is not very forgiving to size or hormone fluctuations, nor is it flexible if you are between sizes or have asymmetry. If you need more flexibility with fit and sizing, you are better off going ...with Ewa’s BM or SF styles instead.
I ordered this one (and two others) from MagdaBras4you whose service is impeccable.
For measurements: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 28.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.75” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.5”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
This bra, like the SF Gladzioch Mileczna Czekolada, has an odditiy of one wire being 6.25 and the other being 6.5”. While this does not affect fit on the SF, it may be a factor on this SM as there is no stretch lace to ease the difference.
Another thing with this order is that all the straps are thin. Not thin as in narrow, but thin as depth, flimsy, lacking plushness, biting instead of padded or plush backed for comfort. In one word-cheap. Not liking these cheap thin straps, but I did notice my last Comexim order has the same thing.
As for fit, this 60L SM style bra is not the same size as my other two 60L SMs. While the depth measures small, the construction is ridiculously open on top (again compared to my other 60L Ewa bras) so I can’t fill the top of the cup on one side. The gore is 1.5 fingers off my sternum, the band is comfy on the tightest hook set, but the cups…….are off. They are too small and too big all at the same time. The lace flattens on my right side yet gapes on my left. The bottom of both cups feel constricting & squished and over full, and no amount of Swoop and Scoop redistributes this tissue. The bottom of the cups are just not as spacious as my other two SMs in this size. Yet the top of the cup on this one is more open, at least on the left side, while it is flattening on my right side. While my breasts are not perfectly symmetrical they are close enough that I never experience such a different fit between the cups.
Like with Rubin, this one just feels “off” as if it was made incorrectly somehow. One of those bras that shouldn’t have passed quality control like the ones you find at the discount retailers as a “slight second” bra. This is so disappointing, as Ewa’s products are now far from reliable. Clearly Ewa has gone downhill. Unfortunately I have another order in transit (5 bras) which I am not optimistic about. From this point forward I will be sticking to Decent Exposures bras until I can find another option. Sure DE bras aren’t sexy but they are super comfortable and consistent. Read more 627 more words
huh, i thought you had had issues with decent exposures? Maybe that was someone else. I only have 1 now, a lined lycra racerback, but its gotten pretty stretched out. i only wear it at home, in general, but if i wear it too often i get rash between my boobs. keep wondering if i want to try a velour again but - not very forgiving. I find the lycra is ok through a few sizes
dbmamaz The only issue I had with DE was a mis-stitching on one bra but it doesn't effect fit or comfort and isn't noticeable unless you're looking at the inside sitching. Aside from that the straps felt too short on the lined lycra 26L at first but are fine now. I do love them, they are so comfortable! Do you get unlined or lined? The lined lycra is wonderful for support and is comfortable.
Thank you MagdaBras4you. 💕💋💕 You are the best and you know I adore you!
That is absolutely ridiculous that wires are different width! What are they doing :/
Since two bras are like this I think the seamstress just accidentally switched one of the wires, or their wire bin has two sizes in it, like someone restocked the 6.25" bin with 6.5" wires in error.......o.O Human errors do occur, especially if the works are swamped with workload. :-/
Mistake is understandable but it makes you wonder if there is any quality control at all :/
MamaPagan , brasaremean , just a hypothesis, is the larger underwire on the left cup in both cases ?
There's a saying that floats round, the left one is the larger. In which case this could be a stealth attempt for better fit. Though it's rather an odd one.
All underwires I've seen during "maintenance works" are perfectly identical from left to right and can be swapped.
New replacement wires perfectly overlap one on another, guess there's no left/right for these parts.
Ah, for right handed people left side would be bigger, for left handed right side, but it's not a rule and there are always outliers of course. My little sister is left handed and her left side is larger.
But it is not common practice to make different cups in any other brand and I really think this is just a case of negligence in EM. Of course as much as I dislike EM right now they do make the best bras, so I believe this is not the fault of the bra or a seamstress exactly, just a lack of quality control.
Yep quality control seems to be the issue here. It is a shame because this is such a pretty bra (these are the patterns I tend to like). I'm sorry it didn't work MamaPagan
On a side note, I wonder if they would ever bring back the Koralik or maybe another bra in coral?
femineaaeterna, asymmetry is no excuse for this. These wires are often too wide already, as depending on how they stretch in the band they end up past the middle of the armpit.
femineaaeterna No, the larger wire isn't on the left on both. A wider wire without added depth functionally makes the cup smaller & shallower since it's pulling the depth to the armpit more. I too have read that theory of the left breast being larger, but my right breast is slightly larger. My theory with this is, they base the left being larger since most people are right handed. By using your right hand (and inturn your right arm and chest muscles by default) you build more muscle and burn more fat in those areas, resulting in a slightly smaller but more dense right breast. Me being a left hander on the otherhand do the opposite. 😄
Since I have 77 Ewa bras I have tried so far and this is the only two l received like this from Ewa, I think it's human error more than anything.
brasaremean haha, I guess I should have read all the comments before replying as I just repeated what you wrote. 😄😄
I can attempt to bend the wires and see if it helps. I did bra surgery on the yesterday to lower that dreaded armpit curve of chaffing hell and will try them today. With Yennefer I don't feel it will help much since the one side is small/closed in while the other larger/open on top and the base being too small but darned if I won't try anyway, haha.
And you are right, Ewa sucks at the moment but they used to make wonderful bras that were the best. Lately they are quite far from that mark and with the high price and poor quality without the availability of returns for my custom size, they are not worth it. There are better options out there for most size ranges though.
@Frazzleberry I do love the lace on Koralik, and anything is possible but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Ewa seems to stick to her set basics-black beige red white with blue being more common of an addition followed by purple. Other colors are less likely to return frequently or soon. :-/
Valid point Sovavosi 💙 Small bands means smaller upper frame. When your frame is small, you don't want wires that wrap like that. If for no other reason, the fact that it means the straps are functionally in your armpits is reason enough. The wires should never take up more than half the band, as this shows you the wires will be wrapping more than half way around your back. How can Ewa expect your breasts to stay up front and centered when her wires are so wide in the upper cups on the 28 band?!? Larger breasts don't mean you have a magical frame that will allow for the wires to stay in front defying math and physics. If my frame is 10.5" from armpit to armpit, how can I keep the 12.5-13.5" bra frame from wrapping on 6.25 to 6.5" wires? Even at 6" wires the bra frame is 12.5" with the gore which means it wraps....... The wire width is far more important than Ewa realizes, at least it is in our range.

MamaPagan , bras are an often neglected yet very challenging engineering situation. Sometimes I get high thinking of awfully complex force sensors and 3D scanners to get a better picture.
And I know that no matter the method, it will fail.
How it hugs, feels makes happy or sad are perceptions beyond quantification.
Last but not least, systematic in-production quality control is an old topic. Often this set of actions costs more than the production of the "detail" itself.
One day I'll compile a major rant on how most "general public" bras are made and delivered at unity costs of 0.75 to 5 dollars by container quantities.
*headache*
The real issue here femineaaeterna is that this is a hand made upon order custom sized bra, not a factory line piece. There really should be more quality within it's making.
When you think about the generalized sizes that are supposed to cover a 1-2" range in cup and band and is expected to accommodate the millions of breast sizes, shapes, densities, heights, and widths it's no wonder we can't achieve perfection.
Then you factor in the hormone fluctuations and weight changes that effect our breast size, what fits today may not fit in two weeks, so the hefty price tag on a true quality custom made bra can end up being an investment that would have fit at time of measurements but does not by the end of creation.
I am in a constant flux that goes up and down each and every month, along with crazy swell times where they increase in size, sometimes lasting while othertimes just for a month or so. Overall I have gone up 6 cup sizes in the last few years, and just when I think I've stopped changing, they change again. Never ending cycle of confusion......talk about a headache! 😖😬😄😬😖
MamaPagan yes, effectively, quite a headache for the logistics. Specifically when a custom made costly item turns worse than a chepo-box-store one. Times are going.... Is bra making on a all time low ?
The uniformity of modern bright-light bio-cotton bra shops is nauseating. Something out of the 85-90 B/C hard padded shells norm drives them in mental collapse.
A recent nasty chemio turned things around quite bad and induced a very quick weight gain.
Most of my Doreens and CrossYourHeart will be soon out of purpose. Both models been phased out, precisely when my fleet shows signs of wear&tear, misfit and elastic lazyness.
So whatever chest-band I buy now will be loose in a few months as I loose the surplus.
Bras & boobs are a magnificent demanding challenge that I'm blessed to experience first-hand.
Thanks 4 sharing, I adore to learn more and more each passing day. This place is a wonder of all wonders, so much know-how, so much experience.
Have a super day, best regards,
Mathy
We are all here to learn from each other and I too love our brainstorming sessions. It always helps to understand each other and what a wonderful feeling to walk away from a conversation with new knowledge. 💕
BM Rubin is a full lace BM style bra, lined with opaque black. The color is labeled as Ruby Red on Ewa’s site, but I wouldn’t call it that at all. It’s more of a cross between a purple and pink, berry colored in my opinion. As with all BMs, the top half of the cup is stretchy while the bottom of the cup is not. The band on this model is not lined in lace. As with all BMs, the cup construction is separated into two lower sections, with one vertical seam, an upper horizontal stretch lace section above a horizontal seam, and an outer wedge area ...that connects the cups to the straps. While the BM style has always used the U wires, this one has the lazy J wires that are normally used in the SF style. This review is for the 60L, but I also have it in 60KK reviewed separately.
I ordered this one (and two others) from MagdaBras4you. If you have not had the pleasure of ordering from Magda, I strongly suggest it. She is spectacular and can get basically any lingerie from Poland. So if you have thought about trying a Polish brand, she is the go to person to assist you in your search!
Now for the technicals: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 23” and stretches to a max of 27.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 13” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 16.75”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
The wire width is 6.25” which is about average, with the wires for the 60L BMs being between 6” and 6.25” depending on the type of wire that is used. As mentioned above, the lazy J was used instead of the U type so this makes the top of the wire further out (under the armpit) than is normal when the true 6” U wires are used.
Another thing with this order is that all the straps are thin. Not thin as in narrow, but thin as depth, flimsy, lacking plushness, biting instead of padded or plush backed for comfort. In one word-cheap.
As for fit, this one runs big in the cup compared to my other 60L BMs, which is ironic as the 60KK ran slightly small in the cup compared to my other 60KK BMs. While I am nearing low tide, this shouldn’t make *this* much of a difference, and my other 60Ls fit fine at the moment, as I type wearing my Bibi Bianka that is fitting smoothly and wrinkle free. The gore on this Rubin is 1.25 fingers off my sternum, with upper cup wrinkle, more than the minor outer seam wrinkle that I get on a few of my other 60L BMs. Forcing the tack does get rid of the wrinkle but doesn’t make the cup feel overfull, so these cups are just too big...
Yet it’s not just that the cups on this Rubin fit too big, it is as if they are not made correctly. It looks/feels like a discount store bra, one of those “slight seconds” that didn’t pass quality control due to something being off about it. That is this bra. While part of the misfit would/could be due to the lazy J wires being used instead of the standard BM U wires, I don’t feel this is the only reason for this odd fit. Keep in mind that my frame is only 10.5-11” wide from armpit to armpit (depending on how I am standing) so wires that are 6.25” wide with a .55” gore puts the bra frame at 13.05”, so this does mean the straps tend to be too wide set and this causes arm resistance that pushes the cups off the breasts. Yet the fit is off by more than just that. These cups are just too big.
I am so disappointed in the Ewa inconsistency and poor service lately that I am throwing in the towel. I have one more order that is in transit, but that will be my last. I won’t buy any more Ewa bras as it’s not worth the expense for such poor quality and inconsistent/rude service. This is really sad as there are very few bra manufacturers that make my size range. I’m so sorry this was such a bust, how frustrating!
Sorry to hear it's such a disappointing bra!
veggiechic I already suspected it would be as Sovavosi and DerangedDragons19 both received similar nonstandard bras from the same order. At least I have plenty of bras that fit & I can wear already, right?
It's okay MagdaBras4you. I am sorry that Ewa's products have become so unreliable lately. I am so glad you have other brands to offer that are so much better in quality, consistency, and price that this issue doesn't effect your business. Kinga, Gaia, Gorsenia, KrisLine, those are the bra gold at the moment. If only I was in their size range. I really loved Gaia and Kinga, but alas they do not fit me..... 😖
Oh my my MamaPagan , this one looks overall so delicious and sturdy, I can fully comrehend you went for it.
Yet, sorry to interfere, is it the gore tack issue only or as I understand a general "mah... lousy" feeling that the cups induce ? Instinctively I perceive what you mean, however, could you please provide more info for my own learning curve ?
See Dear, I don't (and sadly probably never will) have what it takes to experience first what goes on when bras are submitted to workloads above "DD" / "E".
However what I know is that pattern scaling, and the often neglected underwires beef-up, is a very tricky affair and mishaps in the realm of a milimeter or so can be perceived and ruin an otherwise perfectly good model in a given size range.
Yep, bras are a fascinating engineering challenge indeed, no wonder I feel so blessed to actually need them ;)
Best regards thanks, have a splendid day,
Mathy
femineaaeterna My gores rarely tack. The closest I get is 1/2 a fingers width off the sternum so I don't consider that an issue really. If the cups are smooth and hug the breast without discomfort it's a fit in my book. Even a minor wrinkle I'll accept as fitting at this point. These cups wrinkle on top more than what I consider acceptable for fit. I know the photos don't reflect this well but I can see and feel what is occurring in the cups and the top is not hugging the boobs like I know it should. My views may change in two weeks when I'm at my largest but compared to my other Ewa BMs in this size, this one is larger in the cup and a bit too big for my breasts. 💕
Thank you MamaPagan for this valuable precision. In fact, pictures don't show, therefore my question.
The "hugging", an essential component of what I call "bra factor".
Now I understand fully what you mean and, yes, join you on thiis one. That many hours with a poor hugging can really trigger concerns on the fit.
As far as I'm concerned, the most rewardingly solid gore tack of underwired cups is achieved by an ageing (and therefore deteriorating powernet) Ulla Popken firm support powerslip and, surprise, a H&M modern reincarnation of panty-girdle. Both with rebar like underwires ;) And great huggers.
All others are just there or do not tack. Still some hug very well even with a loose gore.
Yes it's true. :) Kinga, Gaia, Gorsenia, KrisLine are really amazing. I don't have any problems in working with them. Interests with these brands are a real pleasure. I'm just sorry that he does not make bras in your size ...🙁🙁🙁
It's okay MagdaBras4you. Maybe someday they will expand their size range, but in the meantime they can make many others happy instead! 💕 I can live vicariously through them .
Bibi Czarny Tulipan is a simple black half lace BM. It doesn’t have any lining, so it is thin yet supportive, and super comfortable. This is my second attempt at this bra, having it in 60KK as well. I ordered this one from MagdaBras4you. She is spectacular in her customer service!
Now for measurements- All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 21.63” and stretches to a max of 27”. It has ...3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 13.75” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 16”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
This one also has the lazy J wires that are typically reserved for the SF style bras. This appears to make the straps more wider set than in the BMs with the usual U wires.
For other measurements, the width is 6.25” with a height of 10.63”, a wing of 4.75”, and a gore of 0.5” wide and 4.375” tall.
To compare, the 60KK has a 23”-30” band, with 6” wide cups, 10.25” tall, 12.25-15.25” depth, wing of 4.5” and gore with 0.5” width and 4.25” tall.
As for fit, it fits like my other 60L BMs, which is a bit more spacious than I need on most days, but since the 60KKs are too small, these work better at the moment. They are pain free and comfortable. The fit would look a bit better, but as you can see, I was slouching in the photos. :-/
As a photo compare can show, this one (and the white Bianka half lace BM) fit exactly the same as the 4 full lace BMs I own in the same size. All three BMs from this order measure 16.5” max depth, which is larger depth than my other 3 BMs which had a max depth of 15.5-16” but those had 6” wires.
There does seem to be a difference in fit between the Half Lace and Full Lace BMs in some other size ranges, but at this size, there is no difference noted. Read more 404 more words
BM bibi's are my favorite. I am hoping that the pink checks and red dots planned for next release will be as comfortable. I don't see a size diff between my Bianca and full lace BMs either. This style looks fab on you!! Really fab :)
Yes, the half lace are my favorites too! I can't wait for the pinstriped one myself. Definitely would love more color options for the half lace varieties. And thank you. 💜
This one and the white one are my favorite "plain" style bra. They look good on you.
This is my third attempt at the BM Antonina, having tried it in 60K and 60KK prior. While the 60KK fit fine initially, my breasts went through a growth spurt that made all my bras suddenly too small and prompted me to order up a cup. While that growth spurt turned out to just be a temporary 4 week swelling spree, I’d already ordered this and several others in the larger size.
For the measurements: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band ...measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 27.25”.
This measurement is: 16”

The cup height is 11” and 6” wide, with a gore of 4.15” tall and 0.55” wide, and the wing is 4.5” tall. To compare, the 60K Antonina was 15.5” deep and 9.5” tall, while the 60KK was 16.5” deep and 10.15” tall.
As for fit, the gore is 1 finger off my sternum, and the cups feel great. The strap is too wide set for perfect comfort and the upper lace is barely tensed but still wearable, especially at higher tide days. I am mid cycle, closer to low tide than high tide. While this one actually measures smaller in singular depth than my Antonina 60KK, the cup on this one is definitely more spacious for sure. The 60KK is too small at the base of the cup now, while this one feels roomier. I think this fit would technically be classified as too big, but the 60KK is too small, so as long as this one is comfortable on, then I am classifying it as a fit. Read more 348 more words
Looks great! Tbh I've learned that I'd rather the loose lace at the top and roomier cups than uncomfortable smaller bras.
brasaremean I agree, but the loose lace always bothers me so much. Like someone is going to notice the extra wrinkles under a shirt. :|
I am honestly more bothered with the way it looks like my boobs are being shelved but it is so so much more comfortable I'm over it by now.
I typically wear sweatshirts so I'm not worried about that. It's my brutally honest husband's comments that kill me. But the 60KKs are painfully small so I will take a bit of looseness on top over painfully small regardless of his comments. :-D
I hate being squeezed by tight cups :X
Me too.....😖😬😖
First day wearing this one and it was comfy all day. Yay, no bra related pains!! (And hubby didn't say a single negative comment about fit!)
SF Zenith 60L (and 60KK) The fabric on this one. Oh, if I could describe it. It is not silky or smooth. It is more rough but not in a bad way. It’s a matte finish, with a cat tongue finish, haha. The colors are a perfect blend of beautiful-Teals, Blues, Browns, and Slight Grey, in a unique animalistic print collage. I love it, seriously love it. Aside from the unique texture of the fabric, this is a typical SF style bra, which has a stiffer bottom cup with stretch lace on top. This typically provides more support than the BM but without any padding to add bulk.
I ordered ...this one in both the 60KK and the 60L, and for simplicity’s sake, I am reviewing them both together here.
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.15” and stretches to a max of 27.875” on the 60KK and 22” to a max of 28.5” on the 60L. Both have 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.25” on 60KK and 12.5” on 60L 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.6” on 60KK and 15” on 60L
The 60KK Cup height is 8.75” with a 4.75” Wing, 4.4” gore, and 6.25” width The 60L height is 9” with a 4.5” wing, gore 4.25” and 6.25” width
Needless to say the measurements are disappointing, as there is not enough of an increase from the 60KK to the 60L to justify calling it a full cup up and honestly the 60L is equal to a few of my 60KK SFs that are currently too small in the cup. This is not a true 60L cup.
As for fit, I didn’t bother with even trying on the 60KK based on the fit of my other ones, and the fit of the 60L. The 60L band felt comfortable on the tightest hook set, and the gore was 2.5 fingers off the sternum with the cups feeling very full and a tight. I am mid cycle, several days past lowest tide, but still a week or so away from high tide, so a good mid range to judge fit.
I will try to get Kaska to be willing to allow me to order it in a 60LL, but she told Magda no already, so it will take a bit of pestering and persuasion to get her to change Ewa’s mind. Read more 471 more words
Would you say it fits like a regular Sf or more like the Blueberry? I'm sorry it's not a perfect fit, it looks gorgeous on you! The pattern on this one is superb.
This is so beautiful. Sorry it didn’t work.
I love the pattern on the zenith so much. It's a shame it wasn't a perfect fit
brasaremean It's more like a regular SF, just a cup size small. : -/
All 3 of the 60L SFs I received had the same depth as my 60KK Szaron and Kobalt....
SM Wanilia is an unlined sheer white bra, with pink flower accents and a pink n white polka dot gore bow. The cup construction in this size (60L) has 3 lower sections with 2 vertical seams, an upper section above the horizontal seam, plus an outer wedge section that connects the strap to the cup. The lower cup range will have only 2 lower sections and a single vertical seam instead of 2. The band is an opaque white power mesh without lace. As with all SM style bras, the cups have no stretch to them, and not a lot of give. This provides firm support but is ...not very forgiving to size or hormone fluctuations, nor is it flexible if you are between sizes. If you need more flexibility with fit and sizing, you are better off going with Ewa’s BM or SF styles instead which both have stretch lace on the top half of the cups.
I ordered this from the wonderful MagdaBras4you. I love my sheer SM Czarna Mgielka, sexy yet supportive and a wonderful fit, so I took a chance on this one even though I am not fond of pink. The fit is very similar to the Czarna Mgielka though not identical, but I am still happy with the fit. The cups themselves are smooth (aside from the top of the lace trim) without any gaping or wrinkling except at the bottom of the wire which isn’t terrible. If that top lace was smooth, I’d get quadding so I am okay with this frill not being smooth against the skin. Clearly the armpit curve is too straight and does meet armpit resistance, but it’s not terrible and lowering this curve is an easy alteration for me. The gore is 1.75 fingers off my sternum but if it tacked the cups would be too small, so I’m good with this as it’s comfortable. The band is nice and comfy on the tightest hook set, and far more supportive since the band is firmer than the recent “runs big” trend. Overall I am happy with it!
For the technical aspects:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22” and stretches to a max of 27.25”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 13.125” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 15.125”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. A monumental example of how thin sheer materials help visualize distribution of forces. Well uniform in both directions = no wrinkles.
I really loved to see the underwires at work on the sides, must be a very comforting perception.
Now please, for my learning curve, what is the purose of that embelishement where the side bone would be ? A decorated bone pocket ?
A lovely cup geometry for a lovely bra. Must be quite a hugger, looks sheer delicate but fit for the job. Adorable !
Wish you many excellent days in it's company.
Mathy
Soooo pretty on you! So pretty. I love this on you.
femineaaeterna The wing just has a pink ribbon covering the seam connection of the cradle to band but no boning at the connection. So the side embellishment is just for looks not support. I too love the sheer cups as they demonstrate so well where the fit issue are if any. It shows how the underwires curve with the breast or if they don't follow ones IMF. Wonderful self learning bra for fit indeed. Plus it also is a confidence booster that helps you feel sexy all while being supportive. A total win win bra. 💕
I love this pink so much. It's too bad the cups were ridiculously big. The band was large for a 60, which was wonderful for me, as it fit great, but bad for a true 60 band. Eh. It was a flop for me.
Maybe it will fit for your crazy swell days? Sorry Ewa is so inconsistent of late. 😖
I don't think my swelling could fit it, but it's worth waiting for I guess. cupandahalf was possibly wanting it for an experiment anyway ;)
Hopefully it will serve a purpose then. 💕
Pictures up! :)
Are you sure? I am not seeing them for this one.....
They show up via my phone :o let me check my computer!
Oop! Now I see them! 😄
Oop! Now I see them! 😄
i see pics
Haha, good deal! I'm glad that they are there afterall :)
Oh my my, the bows on the straps. Too bad it didn't fit though. Yet those bows, I sure love them ;)
Too bad this didn't fit, the colour is actually quite interesting.
30 inches on a 60 band??? That's crazy. Really sorry it didn't work out. It's a beautiful bra
Yep that’s pretty normal now.
The TTS to runs big band trend seems to be cyclical. Every year we see this and it is so frustrating indeed. This year it seems to be paired with cup runs large (or tall) with the random TTS bands & cups run small rouges..... Is there even a "standard" sizing system for Ewa anymore? Or are those of us in this unique size range the special ones within this lottery for sizing with Ewa?
I'm glad that you got the package.:) It is a pity that the bra does not fit you because it's very nice to you in pink.
SF Gladzioch Mleczna Czekolada (translates to Milky Chocolate) is a smooth no lace SF style bra in a medium golden brown. As with all the SFs, the upper section is stretchy allowing for variation in size.
I ordered this one (and two others) from MagdaBras4you whom I ...just adore.
Now for the technicals: All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 27”.
This measurement is: 15.75”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
Other details to be noted: For those of you who are observant of photo details, yes, the wires are not the same size. One is 6.25, while the other is closer to 6.5”.
Another thing with this order is that all the straps are thin. Not thin as in narrow, but thin as depth, flimsy, lacking plushness, biting instead of padded or plush backed for comfort. To describe it in one word: cheap. Straps you’d get on the Walmart $9.99 bras, not what you’d expect on a $60+ bra.
As for fit, this one is the only good one in the order. The material is so smooth and comfortable; it felt like I was putting on a pillow if that makes any sense. The cups are wonderful, as is the band. The gore sits 1.5 fingers off my sternum but aside from that this bra is the most comfortable wired bra I have. The band is nice a firm and the 27” max stretch makes it perfect on the middle hooks for me! (Woohoo I don’t have to wear it on the tightest hook set yay!) As with the other two, this does have a bit of “off”ness to it. The black liner and the silky outer fabric are not the same tension, most notably where two seams meet throughout, so the outer material isn’t as smooth as the bra actually is, but this isn’t major and can’t be seen under clothing, it’s simply a minor quality control issue. This is not the first time I have received a SF style bra with this issue so I think it has to do with the stiffening process that they use on that under fabric.
Overall, I do love this bra. I love the fit, the comfort, and the color. Read more 518 more words
Almost none of my EMs have the same tension between the liner and the lace/fabric over it. And its usually just one cup, not both... So most I've gotten have been duds smh... I thought that was normal.
I thought it was due to my asymmetry!
brasaremean I am referring to the stiffened liner and the outer smooth fabric on the same cup, not the fabric from one cup compared to the other cup.
When the lining is tight and smooth against the breast while the outer fabric wrinkles, it's due to the two fabrics being at different tensions or the seams not sewn together properly. Such bras usually end up at discount stores as they don't pass quality control.
My breasts are slightly asymmetrical but as my sheer black SM shows, they are close enough to create a smooth cup without wrinkle or quadding in either cup.
Yup thats what I'm talking about as well. But it's never on both cups just one
brasaremean This has been a regular issue with Ewa bras for you? I think the QC issues are worse that we knew. That's sad. And nope, it's not due to asymmetry if you can feel that liner is snugly hugging your breast.
I have experienced it on a few bras (mmoreso on padded bras) and in various brands through the years, but most on those discount store bras. When paying $10-20 on the bra I don't mind it as long as it's not noticeable under clothing, but on a $60+ bra, I expect more.
Glad you had at least one that worked out. Such a pretty colour too. I'm crossing my fingers that second batch yields better results
Thank you Frazzleberry. Since I am pessimistic about Ewa at the moment, I won't be truly disappointed if they aren't. That means any "fits" will be a treat while the fails won't be devastating. 😄
Band seems a bit snug, but it's doable for me honestly. Cups are fantastic. Very similar to my La Gloria review. I've hit the sweet spot for my cup preference on this one. JUST big enough for both my smaller and larger side. I almost have quadding on my larger side, but it's pretty great for my small side.
BM Brownie is a full lace BM bra. It is brown with a berry colored larger bow at the gore. It has a sheer black liner to the cups. The lace is the exact same as BM Croptop Topaz, but Topaz has an opaque beige liner to the cups instead. I ordered this bra and 3 others from MagdaBras4you, who provides exceptional customer service. Basically if it is a Polish brand of lingerie, she can get it.
Now for measurements:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take ...all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 28”.
This measurement is: 16.5”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
The wires used were the lazy J wires that are typically found in the SF style instead of the standard U wires that are found in the BMs. This makes them 6.25” wide instead of the 6”, and also pulls the cups more under the armpit, and the straps more wide set.
The removable paper label was mislabeled as an SF style. The bra is definitely the BM style without the SF stiffness, so it was just a labeling mishap.
As for fit, Like my other 60L BMs this one could stand to be a bit smaller as the cups are spacious. Unfortunately the cup size down is too small for me at the moment, so I feel that I am technically between sizes for the BM style. As the 60KK is painfully small in the cup, I will take these at a bit big and yet comfortable happily over the pain. The wide set straps (and lazy J wires) do make the strap meet some arm resistance, so I get a bit of upper cup wrinkle near the strap. The fit would look a bit better, but as you can see, I was slouching in the photos. :-/ This isn’t a problem for me, as it won’t be noticeable under my sweatshirts and doesn’t affect the comfort or support. From looking at the cup shape, this looks a bit too closed and tall on you. It’s too bad but it’s nice the support is still there.
As long as it's comfortable and doesn't cause any pain, I'm happy with it at the moment. But yes, it isn't a perfect fit.
My nipples actually sit at the seam instead of the upper lace section (where they normally do) and it almost tacks, so it's one of those few steps forward, few steps back situations, haha.
This is a really pretty bra despite some of the fit issues.
Oh it's beautiful!
It really is brasaremean. Something about the earthy tones for me lately. I just love them. 💚
btw I always thought nipples should sit at the seam otherwise the bra is too small! How wrong was I?
brasaremean I think it all depends on where it's situated?
I really do love this bra (mine are in Miami, so I'm hoping by next week I get it)
My nipples almost always sit above that seam, but that doesn't mean you're incorrect. My bras also never tack, which is also supposed to mean too small. I'm happy if it's within a finger's width if tacking. Maybe my bras have always been too small?
brasaremean my nipples are never at the seam unless I go down like 3-4 cup sizes. It depends on the person.
Frazzleberry Woohoo! I hope they fit you perfectly! 💕
Thanks.
Frazzleberry i think it depends on if you are full on top or in bottom. The seam should sit just below your fullest point generally, although different bras have different bust points.
Aaah, kk. That makes sense
cupandahalf that makes me sad, I’ll never find a bra short enough.
I feel like Goldilocks again, haha. One too small (short?) and the next size up too big (tall?) 😖 Where is the just right bra?!? Do we need to go for a walk through the forest in search of it, Sovavosi? 🌲🌲🌲
Sovavosi I feel ya. There are few bras that make my size and none that make my shape. And I’ve grown again so now I think I’m more in the 40K range. :(
Bibi Bianka is a simple half lace BM bra. It doesn’t have any lining, so it is thin yet supportive, and super comfortable. This is my second attempt at this bra, having it in 60KK as well. I ordered this one from MagdaBras4you. She is the absolute best!
Now for measurements- All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22” and stretches to a max of 27.5”. It has ...3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 13.5” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 16.5”

The wires used are the lazy J that are typically used in the SF style, not the BMs. This set of bras all included these wires, which makes the straps further out and wider set.
Additional measurements-Cup width 6.25”, height is 10.5”, gore is 4.25” tall and 0.5” wide, with a 4.63” wing.
To compare, the 60KK has 23.125”-30” band, with 12.5-15.75” depth, 6” width, 10” cup height, 4.5” wing and a gore of 0.6” wide and 4.25” tall.
As for fit, Just like with my other 60L BMs, this one is a bit more spacious than I need, but makes it perfect for those hellacious swell days I get at ovulation. The fit would look a bit better, but as you can see, I was slouching in the photos. :-/
As a photo compare can show, this one (and the black Tulipan half lace BM) fits exactly the same as the 4 full lace BMs I own in the same size. All three BMs from this order measure 16.5” max depth, which is larger depth than my other 3 BMs which had a max depth of 15.5-16” but those had 6” wires. Read more 356 more words
This is my third attempt with Koralik, having tried it prior in a 60K and 60KK. This one is a firm salmon colored lace, and while the cup material is not stretchy, it does have some give to the materials. In this size the cups have 3 lower sections with 2 vertical seams, plus an upper section and the outer wedge area that connects the straps to the cup.
Now for the measurements! All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for ...the same reason.
The band measures 22.25” and stretches to a max of 27.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

The cup width is 6” with a height of 9”; the gore is 0.55” wide and 4” tall, with the wing height of 4.75”.
To compare to the 60K- depth 12.15-14.55” max with 8.5” tall, and the 60KK depth 12.3-15” max and a height of 8.8”. This really makes me wonder if I am using as much force with the max cup depth stretch as I used to, or if they are using some other firming agent on the materials for the 60L cups as compared to the 60KKs……
As for fit, While Kaska tried to talk me out of getting this one, I am glad I didn’t listen. The cups are a nice full fit with no immediate quadding or flattening. The gore sits 2 fingers off the sternum but is otherwise comfortable. The band is comfortable on the tightest hook-set. All and all a great fit, at least at this point of my cycle (low tide). I haven’t worn this (or the others) yet, just did the quick try on and photos, so if my fit assessment changes with wear, I will try to remember to update. ☺ Read more 367 more words
SM Czarna Mielka is a black sheer cup bra. While the cups are not made of a stretchy material, they do have some give to them. In the 60L size, the cups are made up of 3 lower sections with two vertical seams, plus an upper section and the outer strap wedge area. As the photos show, this one is completely sheer and shows every skin detail. You can see the seam marks from the other bra I was wearing on the day of the photos, as well as the veins that shine through my translucent skin on my breasts very easily in these cups. ...
Now for the measurements!
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22” and stretches to a max of 27.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops. While this band is listed as running quite firm on Ewa’s site, it is the same length as the others I received in this order, and in line with my last few orders.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 13.25” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 15.25”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
The cup width is 6”, with a 9” height. The gore is 0.55” wide by 4.1” tall, and the wing is 4.75” tall.
I also ordered the matching briefs in size 10(38) which measure 65cm flat to 94cm max stretch. This size is intended for a hip range of 91-96cm, so they would run a bit small. My hip is 89cm, but I prefer my panties a bit roomier, so these are fine.
As for fit, Having tried 3 SM bras prior (Koralik in 60K&60KK both too small, and Tattoo in 60KK which fit fine when I got it) I wasn’t too optimistic on the fit. Kaska did not recommend this size and didn’t feel it would work for me, but I am glad to say that she was incorrect!
The cups are as close to a perfect fit as I can expect to get, not a wrinkle in sight yet no quadding or flattening either! The gore sits less than a finger off my sternum, which is as good as it gets for me honestly. The band is nice and firm which is the current Ewa trend lately (at least with my orders), and is comfy on the tightest hook-set. Read more 451 more words
This looks like such a great fit on you! I love the pinstripes.
