CH Cherry is the first CH Ewa has made in some time. I didn't particularly care for the looks of it when it was released, but since the CH can't be beat in terms of immediate projection in my size, I did not hesitate to purchase it. This is hands down the most projected bra I have. I have six (?) other CHs and they don't even come close. I believe Ewa tweaked her pattern, she must have, because this bra could show movies. Cherry is a deep dark red, really similar to a just under-ripe Bing cherry, with a black mesh overlay. The mesh is netted with dots. The ...band is black powermesh. The cup straps and the shoulder straps are fully adjustable and made of the cheapest elastic on the planet. The entire bra is finished off with red bows, a giant one in the center and smaller ones on the straps.
It seems quite a few people got loose bands with the Cherry. I didn't. Mine stretches to about 29" and works for me on the loosest or second set (of four) of hooks. The shoulder straps are stupid. They are so very thin and too stretchy. They are cheap and they look it. They're fully adjustable, but they are almost impossible to adjust. Once in place, they stay there but getting them in place is a chore. They are initially itchy, but that goes away. I wore the bra for an entire day with the straps as is, they do more or less stop being annoying, but I have to over-tighten them and they leave awful red marks on me. I have straps to replace them with and I plan on doing that before I wear the bra again. The cups are very open and very projected. So, the bra seems big. I have to wear the pad on my right side. In my pics I have both pads in, but it's unnecessary on my left side and actually causes the cup to be too small so I just wear the one. I couldn't size down, but I wasn't expecting it to be so open when I ordered it. The cup pretty much comes out from the wire parallel to the floor, it's amazing actually and definitely presents the bust. Because the projection is insane and my roots are short, there is not a whole lot of cleavage going on for me, which is fine. The wires are very comfortable. Even with the pads taking up space, they do not make their way out of my IMF. They are narrow and awesome. The cup straps, I don't think I care for them. I can't get them to lay flat and not twist. I also can't adjust them to a length where they are lying against my skin but not cutting into my inner fullness. I just can't find that sweet spot with them. I believe most of those issues are from breast shape. I have very short roots so I am functionally FoB. The cup straps are laying across muscle for the majority of their length and not across breast tissue. I've seen the bra on women that are more FoT and the straps look a lot nicer. I was considering removing them, but my husband really likes them so I'll keep them, they aren't uncomfortable so it isn't a problem. If I could figure out a way to make them detachable, that would be great.
I bought the underwear in a 38. They fit well, a little loose at the waist, but just right at the back. They are comfortable, but come up a bit high, hitting just below my belly button. Read more 502 more words
I ordered this one through Bra Obsessed. I'm SO happy to finally own a fiery bright red bra that fits! My first picture of the bra looks more orange than it really is. I wasn't sure if it would have the red and white polka dot bows like the M Scarlet. I'm really glad it doesn't. It only has one small bow on the gore. I was told that the CHP can't be made with shiny cups like the BM Bibi Scarlet. The front side of the band and the embroidery are shiny though. Something I noticed quickly was that the straps on this bra aren't as thick as my other CHP's. I'm happy about this because the straps will be easier to hide. Though, the strap on my larger side was rolling a bit. The gore doesn't tack perfectly; the very top of it lifts up a bit. But it doesn't rest on any tissue and I find the bra very comfortable. From now on I will buy 65 bands through EM.
Lato (Summer) is a discontinued CH cut from 2012. The color is a neutral creamy beige plastered with bright coral peonies (Are they peonies? They're peonies, I want them to be peonies). Most of the stems and leaves on the flowers are a taupey grey color, but here and there are splashes of turquoise. The cups are topped with beige lace edging with a turquoise ribbon running through it. The bra is finished off with turquoise ribbons at the gore and the straps. The turquoise accents are the same color as my Turkusik briefs (I butchered the bra). It makes for a fun complementing set.
The band is nice and snug ...in my usual 65. No digging in and no riding up on the loosest of three sets of eyes. The straps are only half adjustable, but they are also short so this doesn't pose much of a problem. The front half is the same material as the bra and they're well cushioned. The back is a heavily embroidered beige. The sliders are a little difficult to move over so much texture, but they stay put. The wires are nice and narrow, they sit where they should and stay where they should. Very comfy. The cups provide a projected and round shape. A great representation of the CH shape. Much like my 65E - Ewa Michalak » Chp Brzoskwinka (301) , the cups are borderline small. Again I get some bubbling over the cup, but it is not visible under clothing and not real evident without a shirt. If I had any upper fullness I couldn't wear this one either. There are no pockets for pads in this bra, but again like Brzoskwinka, I couldn't wear them anyway.
I absolutely love this bra and I have to thank vesela_krava for adding it to my drawer. Read more 195 more words
I bought this bra mostly because of the spaghetti straps, otherwise I wasn’t enthralled by the design. Actually the stock photos don’t do it justice. It’s a very elegant bra. It reminds me of the CH Purple that I still regret not having bought. I think it’s even more beautiful and thoroughly designed. The cut is a perfect copy of the Onyks - narrow wires and open cup. The cup volume is typical for this cut, the band is TTS. I like the contrast between the black, shiny elements (straps, band, the satin ribbon on and under the cups) and the mat material on the cups. The cups (probably rose) ...are overlaid with a black lace that gives them an elegant purple colour. As always, I find the central bow too big and rather kitsch https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Unfortunately, it’s not as comfortable as Syrena. I would like to curse the person who designed these straps and punish her by obliging to adjust them every day to the end of time! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> They are UNADJUSTABLE without additional tools (they should provide them with the bra). The problem is the sliders are thinner than the straps (also in the spaghetti straps), which makes it really hard to move it. I also find the straps are too thin for this size, hard and overall uncomfortable (which also reminds me of the Onyks). That being said, the band, even though not as soft as in Syrena, is pretty nice and firm. It feels quite strange to have these additional straps, I’ll have to get used to feel them on the upper part on my breast. I would prefer the sliders less visible or no sliders at all. I'm not sure yet if I'll dare to wear this bra outside with the spaghetti straps showing off. I actually haven’t decided yet if I’ll keep it (the statistics say I will, I’ve never sent back any of my EM bra so far).
EDIT: I added measurements and they confirm that this bra has very narrow underwires, the narrower of all the CHs I've owned (I took the measure 3 times). Happily there's enough depth in the cup for the breast tissue. That is actually typical for this style which gives a very projected shape.
The shoulder straps are terrible! Are they super stretchy too?
I think it looks good on you, and I agree about the cup straps. I really like them, but I don't if I'm edgy enough to pull off letting them peek out.
Oh I love it! And I'm one of those weird ones that loves thin shoulder straps. I'm also not sure about the bow, but maybe I'll like it more in person. This style really does look lovely on you!
they aren't SUPER stretchy, but stretchier than I would prefer. It's barely enough for me, but not enough for bigger cups I think, I hope they took it into consideration in bigger sizes.
PetiteCollegiate thanks :) I also like thin shoulder straps in Freya bras, because they are thick and soft. Gossard makes wonderful thin straps, still supportive. The bow is horrible but I get used ;) It seems like they put gigantic bows when they don't have any better idea ;) I far prefer small and discrete adornments like in HP Kobalt, CHP Noir or S Orzechowa Pralinka.
I hope they're better in bigger cups too. I don't mind the thinner straps too much as long as they are not also too stretchy. If they're both narrow and very elastic they dig and hurt.
I love Ewa's giant bows. Especially on the backs of underwear, I feel like my bum is a gift :) I also really like the delicate bows. The little bow with the pearl charm on HP Kobalt is very sophisticated and lovely.
I haven't thought about a gift :D I think Ewa really likes these bows too because she uses them very often, it's a kind of trademark. I find them too imposing but they don't dissuade me from purchasing.
Ewa is always making the same bra over and over again. Beige (sometimes other coloured) cups with black lace over it, and a black band. And unfortunately, I keep falling for her tricks! I now own Magqiue, Cappacino, Noir, Famme Fatale.. just to name a few. The fit of this bra is comparable to other EM bras of this cut and size. The band is nice and firm, it is quite tight as a "30", would be better on someone who is a "28". I can get away with wearing this one without altering the band on the tighter hooks currently as a 26 which prefers ...looser bands. The gore is on the slightly shorter side of Chp bras in this size. I usually see them 2.0-2.6 inches. At 2.3, it is still fairly comfortable and wearable for my close set breasts, but too high to give any cleavage on me. I may need to narrow the gore in the future, but so far I've only tried on the bra and it felt ok. The cups are pretty open, but not as open as cups without any sort of edging. The straps placement is typical as well. It is a little too far apart for my frame, but should suit someone built with a little larger just fine, as the size was intended for. The right strap is actually sewn like 1mm farther than the left one, but that one is my smaller breast, causing gaping if I slouch. I will definitely be moving in the straps a little bit, maybe 3-4mm for comfort while maintaining as much of the same fit as possible. Overall, I really do like this bra! It's utterly gorgeous, gives great lift. If you are considering getting a Polish bra, the Chp Oksana would be a great choice if you need open cups, vertical seams, and around 28F in UK size. This is the bra that almost wasn't. For me, anyway.
I wanted this bra so so so bad, almost as much as I wanted the Ewa Michalak Chp Gazeta (447). I asked every user on here that had one in my size if they'd sell it to me. I put out ISO posts on Reddit. I asked Ewa to please sew me one at the end of June and I was told they no longer make it, I was out of luck. Then around the end of July, Tanzilove posted about her bra haul. She had a Prohibicja in there and mentioned it had been ...sewn for her. What?! So, I emailed Ewa again. I made no mention of my previous inquiry or anything else, I just asked for a 65E Prohibicja and matching 36 bottoms. And they made it! Yay! Thank you for your offhand comment, Tanzilove!
Okay, so the bra itself is pretty unique. I love the menswear aesthetic mixed with the frilly and the prep. It's got a sort of 1920s gangster suit vibe to it and I think the name is really apt. The necktie accents really make this bra. I don't think I'd like it as much if they were bows. Bows are everywhere, neckties though, I've never seen those. The white pinstripe material is a really soft jersey type thing. It looks good now, it's new, but I'm worried it may look pilly after some wash and wear. The band is a nice and comfortable typical EM 65. I can wear it comfortably on the loosest set of hooks (4 pairs) and it pretty much disappears on my body. I put it on yesterday around 6:30 am and wore it until 8pm and I felt nothing all day. No adjustments either. The straps are comfortable. They're not super stretchy and they're pretty soft. The adjusters are metal and a little thin. They hurt my fingers to pull them into place, but they stay put. So, at least I don't have to mess with them often. The cups are an appropriate depth for me and are nice and narrow. They're slightly under 5" and they're about as narrow as I can go. I didn't feel them at all. They stayed in my root and follows it up the sides perfectly. The shape is right up front, slightly pulled in to the ribcage and very round. It's slightly minimized as in there's more "globiness" as opposed to projection, but it's also enhancing. Very purple. This will be a great bra for v-necks, even without the pads.
As far as quality, eh. This was sewn for me right before they went on vacation. In fact, it shipped their last day in the office. So, it was probably rushed a bit and that shows. There are some crooked seams, the necktie accents are looped too loose and are not attached as well as I think they should be. None of this interferes with the function of the bra, it is all aesthetics, but appearance is why I wanted this one so bad. It's a little disappointing that it isn't perfect.
I got both pairs of bottoms in a 36 for my 38" bum. They're a perfect fit. They're sort of a higher rise, which is fine. The pom pom scalloping catches super easy. The side zipper on my skirt pulled at one yesterday when I was putting it on. I fixed it, but I'll be putting those underwear on after skirt/dress with a zipper in the future.
Minor complaints aside, I am very happy with this set. Read more 487 more words
This, is, adorable. I love the aesthetics. Looks good on you too!
I never noticed those were neckties, how cut! Wish a bra would 'disappear' on me for that long. almost makes me want a reduction.
jlcl119 YAY!!! I am so happy you finally git it!! I am still in love with mine, and I feel the same about the fit, the "disappearing" is the perfect word. Once I put it on, I don't have to worry about adjusting during the day at all. i love the roundness that CHPs give :) Mine hasn't pilled or anything yet, and I hand wash it. I got the thongs, and the little balls on them make me crazy. lol
Ahhh, I love this set so much! Both the bra and the briefs run small in the band/circumfrence. The cups fit pretty true to size, and the wires are very narrow. The straps are thinner than normal (which I love), but some people might find that an issue.
Brzoskwinka (Peach) is a discontinued CHP from 2012. The cups and main portion of the band are a peach (surprise!) satin. It's softly shimmery. The front of the band to the wings is a cantaloupe colored lace. It's the same lace used on my prototype 65E - Ewa Michalak » Hp Melon. The straps and 2x3 fastener are a pastel pink leaning peach.
The band is nice and firm. It's comfortable on the loosest set of hooks, it's just right. The straps are a good width and have a comfortable amount of stretch. They don't dig, are fully adjustable, do so easily, and stay in place. The wires ...are perfect. They don't slide, dig, or do anything they shouldn't. They encase my root well and stay put all day long. I don't notice them. The shape is great. Projected to the front and nicely rounded. The cups are a bit lower coverage and come in more than some of my other CH/Ps. The satin ribbon binding along the top edge slightly presses into my tissue causing a bit of bubbling. It isn't noticeable under a shirt and is barely noticeable without. I'm fairly even with short roots, so I'm able to wear this in my usual size. If I were FoT or tall rooted it would be too small for sure. There are no pockets for pads, not that I could wear them anyway.
It's a lovely bra in its simplicity and I'm happy to have it. Read more 135 more words
Very nice looking bra! How wonderful to have a gorgeous nude-for-you bra!
It doesn't work for me as a nude though. I'm not sure if it's too light or too pink for my cool skin, but it shows through shirts. Still a nice bra though.
I'm guessing "brzoskwinka" means peach. :)
So says google translate :)
In Croatian it is "breskva" :) The colour certainly matches the name.
I ordered this bra together with the HM Gold and the PL Onyks -- all in the same size 65E -- on October 2nd. The package arrived on October 5th, which really is exceptionally fast, in my opinion. Of the three bras I mentioned above, this one fits second best. Considering the fact that I completely guessed my size I'm pleased to find that SOMETHING more or less fit, however, it goes to show that there is some size discrepancy between the different models. I will also review the other two bras.
Bra description:
A sleek, black, matt satin bra with black, shiny satin binding along the cup edge. ...Two shiny, faceted, black buttons whimsically decorate the centre gore. the cups are lined with black cotton jersey. The lining contains pockets for the included sturdy foam 'cookies'. The bra comes with two kinds of detachable straps: regular 12mm wide straps and padded, 32mm (at their widest) wide comfort straps made out of the same matt satin the cups are made of and edged with shiny satin bias binding. The comfort straps are, unfortunately, only partially adjustable.
Fit:
I wasn't looking for a padded bra but this one came up as having similar measurements to my Panache Andorra, so I was intrigued. I was amazed to find that this bra fit me ALMOST perfectly. I was even more amazed at the shape it gave me: exactly the kind of shape I've always wished for -- lifted and round, the way my breasts are when I cup them with my hands. In fact, the bra is so comfortable and soft that it almost feels AS IF I'm cupping them with my hands. This bra gives me a lovely cleavage without being tacky -- The plunge version is sexier, but this one comes close second, yet it's sleek, understated appearance makes it chic rather than tacky.
I find the cups fit better and more comfortably without the thick foam cookies in place. For some reason in this model the pad doesn't help to even out the asymmetry between my larger right and smaller left side -- the smaller side remains definitely worse fitting with the cup edge gaping quite badly (tightening the strap further seems to help a bit, but the comfort strap does not adjust far enough). My larger breast on the other hand fits absolutely perfectly, BETTER than in the plunge version, so I'm not sure what's up with that. On my larger side, this bra gaps much less that the plunge version when I reach forward and also doesn't produce quad-boob when I pull my shoulders back.
In contrast to the same size PL Onyks, the band on this 65E Padded Half Cup is too loose for my 69cm underbust, as I can comfortably close it at the tightest hook. I definitely have to go down one band size and go for a 60/28 band in this model. It is also quite stretchy, so fingers crossed it won't stretch too much too soon. However, there are four hook positions to fasten it, so it shouldn't really be much of a problem.
The straps placement is very wide, although I somehow don't experience the problem of cutting into my arms the way other bras do. I have wide and straight shoulders, so they stay very well put, but I think that on someone with narrower shoulders they may slip.
Conclusion:
The band of this CH Onyx 65E is at least a full size looser than the band of the PL Onyks of the same size. The cups of this bra fit more or less the same as PL Onyks, size-wise. Shape-wise I think they are better for my wide-set, high-up-my-chest and wide-based breasts than the cups of the plunge version. I don't really know why, it just feels that way. It may also be that I think the half cup style fits me better, I'm not sure.
I am considering returning this marvel of a bra it and exchanging it for a smaller band and possibly size. I'm thinking 60E (according to the EM measurement table here http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/Size-Calculator-chelp-eng-10.html). This would put me into custom-made and non-returnable territory though, which is a slightly terrifying prospect. However, this bra is just so freakishly lovely and comfortable that I just WANT it to fit me. Of the three it is, at the moment, my favourite and definitely a style that suits me and will be worn IF I can get it to fit.
Edited To Add: I've tried all the three bras on again this morning and for some reason MOST of the fitting issues I noted yesterday evening have disappeared. I think my breasts are fuller in the morning than in the evening (breastfeeding).
The CH Onyx is STILL a full size too loose in the band, but the gaping is quite a bit less so that one could possibly be exchanged for a 60F, IF I can muster up the courage to enter into custom-made territory. Maybe for good measure though I should at least TRY a smaller cup size first, if only for comparison, as the gaping has not TOTALLY gone. The thing is, I THINK this one is essentially a better fit than the PL Onyks, as it doesn't produce quad boob when I move my shoulders back, nor gape terribly when I move my arms forward (only a tiny little bit, compared to the plunge). Dilemma, dilemma ... Read more 796 more words
The 3D bra is probably my favourite plunge cut from Ewa Michalak. The shallow cups push my breasts up and inwards, creating nice cleavage. This particular style runs more open on top than some of the other 3Ds I've tried, and fits me much better. I really love the matte black finish of this bra. It's like a basic black bra, but much better! The hot pink accents make it really pretty. The band runs more like a 28 band, so I'm happy I didn't pay to have it made in a 60 or 55. I can wear it right now on the smaller ...hooks, and perhaps alter it if it stretches out. Last time I paid extra to have it made as a 60 in fear that a 55 would be too tight, and it ended up being more like a 28 band which was a little bit of a waste. Overall, I love this bra and I'm so happy it's better than what I was expecting!
Edit: I did find the band to be a little bigger than I would like after a day of wear. I am going to alter it and take off 1cm on each side. Read more 99 more words
Very cute! I'm always amazed how lovely her 'basic' bras are! I bought a black FB that looked fairly boring aside from the little straps, but i just love it beyond reason
Beautiful! And looks great on you!
I love the basic ones too. Gorgeous black plunge on you!
Beautiful. I love the basic but still special bras too. I feel that way about my S Szykus. If only the 3D was up to 65FF or 70F but also not shallow at the wire.
I guess I should review bras while they're still available for purchase. The Chp Noir is a 3 seamed halfcup from Ewa. It's a bit different since all the other halfcups are 2 seamed. It does fit slightly differently than the 2 seamed Chps in my opinion. First of all, the cups in this style are very tall. They curve inward at the top, so it's not like they run much bigger, they're just taller. The third, outer seam adds a little bit of volume to that part of the cup, creating an extremely rounded shape, more so than the 2 seamed ...half cups. This is the typical size I buy from EM, and the cups fits fairly true to size. It's a little too big for my smaller breast, but gaping that occurs throughout the day isn't noticeable visually because of the frills. The gore is also significantly taller than other halfcups of this size. I can't really wear tall gores so I ended up pushing the wires in the channel towards the armpit, and then narrowing the gore. The alteration is hidden by the gem tassel, and can be seen in my photos. I want to add that its super sparkly, with glass gems, making the bra appear quite expensive.. It was expensive. The band is very firm and runs like a 28, it fits me ok on the 2nd to last hook depending on how I am feeling since I prefer looser bands anyways. The straps are really thick and supportive, and not placed too far apart.
Overall lovely bra! Unfortunately, I don't reach for this as often due to the taller gore, which sits on a little of my breast tissue.
I bought the Czarna Mgiełka thong to match the bra in size 36, but they were absolutely huge on me. My iliac crest is about 30 inches, and butt is is 35-36 inches. I ended up having to sew up the sides, and I also shortened the length since they were too high rise. Read more 248 more words
CHP Myszka is what you would get if CHP Stalowka and SM Guzik hooked up and had offspring. For a little bit, this was available early through Bra Obsessed and I ordered it in January. It came to me a few weeks ago but I've held off on reviewing it for a few reasons. Well, one big reason actually. The bra is messed up. The top embroidery is sewn entirely too tight and it creates an unlovely squared off shape that you can see in the pictures. In addition to this loafy boob, I was quadding out at the center and it was visible through shirts. I gave this ...bra a fair shot. Wore, washed, stretched, nope still square. So I emailed Jaimie and I emailed Kaska with pictures.
I knew Jaimie would give me excellent customer service and she did, I'll tell you about that in a minute.
Ewa's customer service though, well, I didn't know how that would go over. I've never had an issue with them myself, but I've also never had a problem with an item. Ewa is notoriously arrogant and has a reputation of blaming the customer for any fit issues and I wanted to see how they would handle this. Kaska immediately picked up on the fit issue. Outright told me it was an error and that if I sent it back to them that they would try to fix it or sew a new one for me. In addition to that they would ship it back at no cost and give me free shipping on my next order and apologized several times for the inconvenience. Awesome.
Since I didn't buy it direct from them, I went through Jaimie to get it taken care of. She set it up so that I did not have to send my faulty bra back at all, she got Ewa's team to make me a new one at no cost to anyone and I got to keep this one for spare parts. Go, Jaimie!
BUT!
I am not the only one that had this specific issue with this specific bra. A friend had the same bra with the same fit problem. Her pictures looked just like mine! So, obviously there was an off batch made. Okay, fine. But the way they handled my friend was completely not the way they handled me. They did not own up to their error (the SAME error mind you) but instead accused her of ordering/wearing the wrong size. Wtf? Thankfully, she also ordered hers though Jaimie so Jaimie worked her magic and got her a new one as well. Seriously though, I don't understand.......
Anyway. As for the bra itself, the band is true to a 65, stretchy and comfortable jersey. The straps are wide and comfortable. They are fully adjustable and do so easily. The wires are narrow and short and standard for this size in the CHP. The shape this specific bra gives was poor, but I do have a replacement that I'll review at a later time that is a better example of a CHP. Read more 398 more words
I have been wearing my 70J - Ewa Michalak » Sm Fiolecik (642) more recently, because oddly it fits better now that I've gone up a cup size. And the more I look at it, the more I'm convinced its flawed. I looked really carefully at it yesterday, and the top section (similar to the trim there) is completely flattened to the point where it looked like its curved inwards.
I made a point of looking carefully at SMs on the big-boob model on EMs website, at least recent ones, and it clearly does not do that - the top section curves outwards like it should.
So i keep thinking I should try another SM .. . of course, not sure what size to get since this one seems to run bigger than the BMs
Jaimie is so impressive from several perspectives!!!
Oh dear, I have a Myszka on order and now I'm nervous about it. I ordered direct, so I really, really hope they've fixed this issue.
bechod it should be fine. My replacement is as it should be. Jamie has sold some in her store and she told me they don't look like these ones, so it was likely a bad lot.
jlcl119 , thanks, that's good to know!
It does look lovely! I'm still in doubt about ordering this in s style....
A little vent here: I wanted this made in a CH. Ewa said no CH, but she'd be more than willing to make it a CHP for me. So, I really appreciate that and I'm glad that she is willing to make different cuts than what are available. But, why not a CH? In my size, there's not much difference. The pattern can't possibly be that far off from what she made me, can it? Because there's not much difference, I am happy with what I have and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again; it would just be nice to have more CHs or at least know ...why they are no longer available.
Okay, with that out of the way...
I absolutely love this bra. If you told me I could only keep five bras (how cruel!) this would be one of them. I bought this on promo along with my 65E - Ewa Michalak » Chp Klaudyna. This was a custom order as Colette is not actually made in the CHP cut. The pattern is floral with varying shades of mousey brown (sounds unattractive, it is not), coral orange, and ecru with a few strokes of really rich, almost black, brown. The lace along the trim is very light pink and the straps are the same pale shimmery pink of the Klaudyna. The satin ribbons across the top of the cups, on the wings, on the front of the straps, and on the underwear are the same coral in the pattern. The bows are ecru satin with the same coral ribbon wrapping the middle. There is only one on the bra, at the gore. It is grandma tea-party (like 65G - Comexim » Ingrid Biustonosz (289) Ingrid) but 1900 NY high society grandma - something a Wharton heroine would wear. The fabric is a stretchy jersey, but it isn't smooth. It's almost textured like my 65E - Ewa Michalak » Ch Lawenda (588). It's not rough or anything like that, but it has a different handfeel than expected.
The band on this is snugger than my Klaudyna stretching to only 28". That's fine and not too tight for me. I'm comfortably in the loosest set of four hooks without an extender. The straps are wide and comfortable, and again, slightly wide set. They are technically only half adjustable (why?!), but the ribbon dividing the front from the back is only held on with a stitch, so I can jam the adjuster over that obstacle. They don't slide around and move along the intended portion of the strap smoothly when pushed. Wires are perfect. They sit in my IMF do not slide, do not rub. They come up high enough on the sides to contain all breast tissue without stabbing me in any muscle and they are only as wide as my breast root. They are invisible. The cups themselves are not as closed as the Klaudyna, but they aren't crazy open either, I'd say they are about average for the CH/Ps in my collection.
On to the underwear. They forgot my thong when they mailed my stuff, they were super quick about getting it out and I did not have to pay another shipping fee. They are also tagged 38s :/ That's fine for the brief, the pair I have are also running small (again, the same as my Lawenda 34s) but the thong is definitely too big. It doesn't fall off or anything, but it's got some slack to it and it isn't as attractive as it could be. I'll have to take a needle to it. Both pairs are extremely lacey and very feminine. They are comfortable. The briefs are total coverage and have a high rise. They have the potential to be frumpy looking, but the giant lace panel in the front makes them appealing. The tong is super girly and has a lower rise.
I ordered this when it was on promo. The navy jersey material that makes up the bulk of the bra is soft, smooth, and comfortable. The color leans purple, only slightly. The lace trim and straps are a really soft pink (the straps are the same elastic also used on my 65E - Ewa Michalak » Chp Colette (CUSTOM) ). The pom poms used as the accent are a bit darker than the lace. They are sturdy and not fluffy delicate things.
The band is comfortable and TTS/small-ish. It stretches to 28.5" which is pretty usual for my 65 bands. I wear it on the loosest set of ...eyes (out of four) and I'm well supported. The straps are wide and fully adjustable. They are slightly wide-set and may eat the armpits, or slip off of, someone with a narrower frame. The adjusters move easily and do not work their way out of place. The wires are narrow and follow my root very well. They are comfortable and don't rub or slide at all.
The cups are more closed on top than most other CH/Ps. They come in rather abruptly and those that are more full on top my want to go up from their regular CH/P size. I have short roots, so this isn't a problem for me. With the pads you can see a bit of digging in on my larger, left side because of the cut off. This isn't noticeable through a shirt and I wouldn't want to size up.
The underwear are soft and comfortable. They have a nice moderately low rise and do not cut in anywhere. However, there is an issue with my pairs. They're tagged 38s. Which is fine, the two pair I have are actually running small (they measure the same as my 34 Lawenda bottoms), but I ordered 36s. Read more 198 more words
This looks amazing on you! Makes me even more impatient to get mine! I love this bra so much, and it being more closed on top will be a benefit for me :) Hopefully my band runs a little stretchier than yours though!
Thank you, ladies!
It seems the band is a crap shoot. Reading around, some got normal, some got tight, others got loose. I hope your band is more TTS, PetiteCollegiate
Sounds like classic Ewa! :/ Oh well, at least it's gorgeous. I could always buy an extender if I really need to.
my klaudyna also has tight band PetiteCollegiate , but maybe all shots that time had, and now they finally will cut in the right length? ;) looking great lcl0706 !
Yeah, I've gotten really lucky with my 65s stretching to 28-29". If they were actually 30" they'd be bigger than I'd like. Even two of the 70s I have stretch to only 29" without being altered. If yours ends up being too small, I don't think it's going to be hugely small like that Bosom Galore was.
All of the newer Ewas I have are true to size or even stretchier than their measured size. As long as the band stretches to 24.5 I'm good. Any smaller than that and I'll definitely need an extender. But I've definitely heard of some people having extra stretchy bands on this style (and the jersey bands in general).
The jersey bands are stretchier. I was wrong though, my Lawenda is more TTS and stretches to around 30". Even being bigger than I would like, it's still supportive and doesn't feel loose. I think Ewa does a fairly good job of distributing band tension. I'm glad most of mine are small. I'd be too nervous buying 60 bands since I've only lucked out with one of them, the other making me want to rip my ribs out.
Hahahaha I have that one of yours! :) yeah it is a tight sucker. The other 60 I have (Pawie Oka) is loose though. It stretches easily over 28. Well hopefully mine are within a range that works for me. It would suck to have waited 2 months for nonfitting bras
Yeah it is! My Owoce is loose, 28.5". You've had a long wait, I hope they're perfect!
I ordered this bra together with the HM Gold and the CH Onyx -- all in the same size 65E -- on October 2nd. The package arrived on October 5th, which really is exceptionally fast, in my opinion. Of the three bras I mentioned above, this one fits best.
Two ...shiny, faceted, black buttons whimsically decorate the centre gore. the cups are lined with black cotton jersey. The comfort straps are only partially adjustable.
Fit:
I wasn't looking for a padded bra and even less for a plunge, so I was amazed to find that this bra fit me ALMOST perfectly. I was even more amazed at the shape it gave me: exactly the kind of shape I've always wished for -- lifted and round, the way my breasts are when I cup them with my hands. In fact, the bra is so comfortable and soft that it almost feels AS IF I'm cupping them with my hands. This bra gives me impressive cleavage without being tacky -- it's definitely the sexiest bra I've ever had, yet it's sleek, understated appearance makes it rather chic.
I find the cups fit better and more comfortably without the thick foam cookies in place, but they do indeed help to even out the asymmetry between my larger right and smaller left side. However, a slightly thinner pad would have been better, I think, as this one is almost overcompensating. Also, the pads don't help with the only fitting gripe I have with this bra: it fits perfectly when I'm standing up straight, but as soon as I reach ever so slightly forward the cups are gaping at the very top. I'm assuming this is because they're ever so slightly too big, yet when I pull my shoulders back I get definite quad-boob. Maybe the cups just come up too high where they meet the straps for my high-on-chest boobs? Furthermore, on my larger right side I'm also ALMOST spilling out at the side of the cup -- the sides simply don't seem to come up high enough on this bra -- and I don't think I can have narrower wires as this one really is only just wide enough. It's better when I 'scoop and jiggle' my breasts in place, but they don't really seem to want to stay that way -- I have wide-set breasts with a very wide base -- and they tend to move back to their original position.
The band on this 65E Plunge is nice and snug. Of the three bras I received it definitely is the snuggest. New out of the package it feels perfect for my 69cm underbust, but it is quite stretchy, so fingers crossed it won't stretch too much too soon.
Conclusion:
This bra has the tightest band of the three bras mentioned above and is quite perfect for my 27"/69cm underbust. The cups fit very similar to the CH Onyx, but only as long as I don't move. They gap at the very top and I'm not sure whether that is due to a size or a shape issue. The underwires at the sides come up lower than in the other bras -- too low for me, I think, as my larger breast wants to spill out of the side of the cup despite it being the right size.
I'm torn whether to keep this marvel of a bra and accept the slight gaping, or return it and possibly exchange it for a smaller cup size. The problem is that I doubt my shape is entirely compatible with this otherwise glorious bra and that a smaller size won't solve the issues I have (and possibly make some of them worse). However, although of the three it is not my favourite, I do like this bra. Maybe I'll have another stab at it at another time.
Edited To Add: I've tried all the three bras on again this morning and for some reason MOST of the fitting issues I noted yesterday evening have disappeared. I think my breasts are fuller in the morning than in the evening (breastfeeding).
I'm still in serious doubt about keeping/exchanging the PL Onyks though. Standing up straight it fits BEAUTIFULLY, but moving my arms forward makes it gap at the top. The point where the straps meet the cups simply doesn't stay flush against my skin -- and I'm not sure whether this is due to a sizing issue or a matter of (incompatible) shape. I also get a bit of quad boob when I pull my shoulders back, which doesn't happen on the two other bras. The side spill issue seems to have disappeared almost completely though, so that may have had to do with the fluctuating firmness of my breasts throughout the day.
Edited To Add II: Argh, call me instable, but I have just decided to keep the Plunge -- tore off the tags and am wearing it right now. Fitted it a dozen times now and really, it's just perfect -- don't know what I was complaining about earlier. It's just so comfortable and although I've never been one for cleavage, I have to admit that it DOES look good https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Read more 926 more words
I love Ewas but this one is too small for me. I am between sizes and have a 65F that fits great with the cookies. This bra is beautiful but the alterations make it too small for me.
Very comfortable bra with soft cups, band, straps, and underwire. It is really cute and girly, and seems to be cut like other M bras. However, one thing I find kind if strange is that the cups of the 65E run bigger than the cups of my 60F's. When I am standing straight and tall, it looks ok, but if I move around there is a little bit of empty space in the cups especially on my smaller side. I'm not sure if this bra was mislabeled, or if M cup volume sister sizes change with band size. I think with this bra, a 60F would have suited me better. The band runs small, but it is too big for me. I will need to alter it if I choose to wear it.
This is gorgeous! It's a shame the band isn't a perfect fit
Beautiful colour and looks beautiful on you!
Looks gorgeous on you!
Thank you :)! I think I will still keep it even though it's not perfect. I have the matching undies and a full set takes to the next level of awesomeness, haha.
Wait, do I understand correctly that this is unpadded?
Sorry, I think I worded it poorly. I meant soft as in texture wise. It is padded and also has cookie pockets +/- cookies.
Ah, thank you!
This is so cute. Looks great on you!
It looks great on you!
Looks great! Matching or coordinated underwear is always important! Takes the bra to a new level, exactly.
My shape is low set, narrow and short rooted, and slightly pendulous.
This bra, just like my other new 65E - Ewa Michalak » Chp Oksana (1029) , fits and doesn't. The cups lift and round the breast tissue nicely, exposing the top half of the breast. i sized down from a 65F in order to wear this bra without cookies. 65F chps tend to gape slightly because I have short roots with little upper fullness. In this size, I have to stuff my larger breast into the cup, and then I get a bit of side boob spillage. As soon as I move around, my left ...nipple sticks out a bit... I'm in between a 65E and 65F apparantly... Maybe the chp just doesn't work for me after all?
the material on this bra is soft cotton on the inside, and a soft satin-feeling cup on the outside. The upper cup is lined with lace, but the lace doesn't close off the cup edge at all. The center gore has a medium sized bow with a crystal. There are no bows on the straps. Straps adjust long enough for my low set/tall frame, and the band is snug and slighty stretchy. There are 4x2 set of hooks. The colour is a pale pink, which will probably function as a nude for me in the colder (not tanned) months.
overall this is a pretty bra that creates good cleavage. Read more 131 more words
This bra tecnically fits perfectly! The wirewidth is acually perfect (wich is very unusual for me!), the strap placement is great, the strappy thing above the cup is easy to adjust and feels comfortable, the cup is nicely low under the arm, the cup is very low covering, wich is hard to find for me, as I seem to have very short roots. So this is all just perfect! BUT.. under my bigger boob the wire sits painfully on my rib :/ I'm not sure why and I hope it will go away with some wearing and washing!
I think it is hurting because the cup is really a bit too small and the whole bra therefore is riding down on you. This bra is called a half cup but is designed to have more coverage than this. The side pics in particular show how the cup is really failing to contain enough of the breast mass to remain stable and not dig or hurt. I think it is really a shallower shape than what would perfectly fit your ultra projected anatomy, so to get a comfortable, workable fit you would be forced to size up. If you just want to use it as a boudoir bra, for photos or for a very brief period you could use those under-the-wire pads, I think they are called Pambra or something? But really I would recommend a less shallow shape cup or larger size if you love this shape.
Thx wendybien ! I was thinking of sending this back and exchanging it for a bigger size, but I am afraid there is gonna be gapping then :/ or what do you think?
I think it's the opposite, actually. The bra is too projected for you. The CH is the most projected of all the Ewa Michalak shapes, and particularly, a lot of people had trouble with the CH Cherry, because it was even more projected than other CH.
Are you wearing any cookies? I think that if you aren't, maybe you could go one cup size up, and stock some cookies in the cups, see how that turns out and if prevents gaping. I agree that normally this bra is of higher coverage, and it may look as the wires are too narrow (I could be wrong) and there is too much armpit exposed. However, in the end, comfort is the most important thing. I think that the fit doesn't look horrible by any stretch, so if you like it, I would stick to it. You could try the cup size up and decide between the two, and that would be my advice.
I think a size up will likely be too big, but if you pad it with cookies it might work well. The sizing on this bra has been a conundrum for a lot of people. It's a shame because this bra is what made me fall in love with EM. It was the most amazing bra fit (although way too small in the cup) I'd ever seen. You look like you're probably in between the 65E and 65F judging on how I've seen it look on myself and another user that tried multiple sizes for it. I should be getting mine it what I hope to be the correct size within the week. Good luck to you because this is such a gorgeous bra.
Veritas thx for your suggestions! I don't think it is too projected, it does slip out of my IMF on my bigger side (it's great on my smaller side) I am not wearing any cookies but I would have to on the smaller side. I think my bigger side is like 1/2 a size to big for this size, but I m afraid I would not get any cleavage in a bigger size anymore :/ The thing is by the time the bigger bra is made I csn not exchange this one anymore :/
@girl333 yes thats why I m afraid of getting anotherone made.. I am afraid it Will end up totslly differant :/ Good luck with yours and fingers crossed it fits! :)
If you want PetiteCollegiate has all 3 sizes up so you can see what I mean by my thinking you'll be inbetween sizes. I also have pictures up of myself in her 55FF that ran super large. I've had some tissue migration since taking them, so the quadding is much worse. I did have Jaimie email them to make me a 55G that fit as closely to a chp 55GG as possible. I'll get my bra Tuesday at the latest, so I'll let you know how it worked. I was like you with it though. It was the best fit ever, but too small. I wasn't sure if one cup or two cups up would solve the problem. Everyone that's tried it seems to find incredible inconsistency with it and the cup seems to run at least a little large. If I didn't love it so much I wouldn't be trying so desperately to make it work. Gee sorry for long rant. I have a lot to say about this bra!
I also doubt it is too projected, I think it's the opposite. Projection is an allover thing, so although many EM cups are narrow compared to their depth, if the shape is too "blunt" i.e. rounding or flattening at the front of the cup many people will need more room there at the apex in order to get the whole boob into it properly.
Also, I know Bratabase doesn't always offer a representative sample but if you look at the user photos, the ones who seem to have gotten the best fit are people whose upper pole is somewhat shallow (even if they are FOB overall).
Given how tall the most projected part of your boobs is, I don't see how you would get any significant gaping by sizing up, especially if you use cookies on your smaller side. Also, a couple millimeters of gape in a foam cup is not a fit problem that would make a bra hard to wear, whereas a cup that's genuinely too small or shallow will be hard to wear comfortably and feel secure in.
thank you wendybien for your suggestions! I decided earlier that day too keep it, as I found out that when I pull the cookie pocket under the underwire /between the wire and my boob, there is no pressure anymore and it is really comfortable this way! :) I wore it all night for drinks and dancing and did not have to adjust it once and I totally forgot about it! :) So I am really glad I finally made up my mind and kept it! :)
oh clever! So you basically found a way to use the cookie pocket as a wire pad?
Yes exactly! :)
BronteBeach I'm glad you can make this work for you. Wait times for Ewa are torture! It looks like it fits you pretty well.
I'm finally able to write a review for this! Which is great, because it's just been sitting on my account for months, but I figured there's no sense in reviewing it based on a try-on. So, here we go.
For a strapless, it isn't bad. It's molded and really shallow at the wire as the pictures show. The material used to shape the cups is really stiff, it's soft inside, but the molding itself is almost Styrofoam like or cardboard. It's really odd to touch and makes it feel cheap almost. Like a pretend bra. It's weird. Despite being some weird thick material (I believe the other strapless was described ...as boob armor? Yeah, that's pretty accurate), I didn't find it terribly hot and sweaty. We've had massive amounts of humidity here with no rain and no breeze. It's gross and I'd rather be naked, but I was able to wear this a few times and not feel like I'm creating a swamp in my dress. The band material is the same silky smooth jersey used to make CH Toffik. It's really comfortable and soft. The wires are good, they do stretch with the bra causing the cups to become shallower than they already are. I don't think that's unusual for a strapless, and these wires are quite a bit softer than the ones Ewa normally uses. Technically, this is too small for me and the wires at the gore do not sit against my body. Right now I'm pleased with that (which is why I've been wearing it so much lately), I have a rib out and the no-contact is a nice relief since pressure causes some pain. The cups are pretty low profile, they don't peek over any of my shirts at all. Probably because they're too small, but it's a nice bonus.
Despite being too shallow for me and also too small, this is the only strapless bra I have ever had that I do not have to hike up a million times a day. I put it on in the morning and it stays there all day! It's actually really amazing to me especially since I've also been wearing an extender with it (remember, really grossly humid) making the band too big and it *still* doesn't move. For that alone I'm keeping it. Read more 271 more words
So funny that even when EM bras arent perfect they are still amazing. Cheapest elastic on the planet lol
