At the height of one of my size changes (I was coming down from breastfeeding for about 11** (edited this. I can't recall when I first received this bra, but I would guess that I had it in heavy rotation for a year?) months at the time, I think?), this bra was the best fitting bra I owned. This SF was and is probably one of my favorite Ewa bras I have ever owned. The coverage was fantastic. Both my large and small breast were encapsulated to give a wonderfully rounded shape. It was a magnificent bra until I grew out of it. And then the wire snapped. I gave it a good, hard run, and it met all my expectations and more. Dying to buy another one, but I haven't found another SF that has worked, for me at least, as well as the Pin-Up.
Thank you for add this & for measuring it too!! :-) Yay!!
You bet! I figured it was time to add some measurements for people! 😘
And we are so appreciative of them! :-)
yaaay measurements!!! and a review!! Thanks for this ^_^
Oh shucks. 😊 You bet! Maybe when I have more time, I can write a more detailed review.
Wow, i dont think i've heard of an ewa wire snapping before. Honestly it makes me glad i stuck to a custom order instead of trying to wear the largest SF, last order. I never liked that model but it looks really cute on you!
It's funny, but this model is actually more appealing in person than in photos.
Ewa recently posted on her Facebook a bra she received from a customer to switch out the wire because it snapped. Anyways, the whole purpose of the post was to show the utterly disgusting state the bra was sent in (I don't think the thing's ever been washed).
But why I'm saying this is that in the comments she did say they will switch out a snapped wire robbeck19 , so maybe she would do yours as well?
If the bra is otherwise in good state it might be worth a try? Just make sure to wash it before haha so you don't end up on her FB page!
dbmamaz Very unheard of, I know. But I wore that bra ALLLLLL the time. And I'll be 100% honest and say that I didn't follow the correct washing procedures all the time. So it was probably just a "me abusing the crap out of it" situation. At the time, I think I had this bra and three other bras in heavy rotation? All Ewas: S mojito, SF Pin-Up, S Syrena, and SM Malinowy. Updating my mojito review now, but I actually had the wire come out of that one. The Malinowy's lace ripped a bit up top, but that, again, was me and breastfeeding. Scooping and swooping my tissue 10x or more daily didn't do good things for the bra 🤣😂
MamaPagan it really, really is. But I liked it in the photos too :)
brasaremean I saw that post! I wasn't sure how to feel about how they blasted their customer like that. I mean, I understand basic hygiene and such, but I thought it was maybe a little rude what they did? Maybe just a me thing again.
And because I saw that, I also debated it, but my poor bra is very worn, and I would most likely get blasted too 😂🙈
It's the Polish way (or rather the Eastern European way). I know something like this post would happen where I live too. I remember going for an EPL session and the lady who was blasting my hairs was also blasting the previous client (by name too!) about not showering for days before she came to do her bikini. It was entirely TMI.
Yikes. I doubt my insecurity and anxiety could handle it. I'll just stick to very late bra reviews via Bratabase where people can judge me from their computer screens 🙈😂
This bra really is a fun bra. The photos really don't do it justice. Thanks for adding your measurements and photos!
I agree with @robbeck19 That post was so not customer friendly! Yes, the bra was not in good condition but no need to publicly humiliate a paying customer. It's one thing to think it, or even discuss around the Ewa "office" but on FB for the world to see is going a bit far....
Yet, after strapgate, it doesn't surprise me, either.
But hey, we can all see that the bra was clearly well loved by the person who sent it to Ewa! Very very well loved. Ewa should see it as a tribute to the love of her products!
@mamapagan 100% agree with you. They probably lost the customer. I'm not sure I would buy from them again if they did it to me 🤷
Oh no, I agree completely. Just saying (and you can see by the majority of the comments) that that is nothing too unusual in this region. I don't think something like this would ever fly in the West lol
brasaremean Indeed. We are way too sensitive as a whole, that's for sure! Not that it's a bad thing though. I like being sensitive. :-D
This bra is gorgeous. I feel like its the Cadillac of bras. These wires are sooooo narrow. They are perfect. I finally have a bra with enough immediate projection - the wire seems to match up perfectly under my breasts and it doesn't keep settling down all day. I don't have the straps jacked all the way up, either. It is on the narrowest hooks. Praise God. This bra is comfortable and secure. It's not stabbing me. When I took it out of the package, my husband said "wow that's a really pretty bra and I'm a dude and I've seen a lot of bras in my life ...and never saw one that actually made me want to compliment it." The color is a light peach and my pics don't show it very well. I love the big bow but you can't really see it because it's trapped between the girls.
This bra tacks but its not what I'm used to. I can push it more firmly against my chest. It's not floating away from me or anything but it's not a firm tack. I wouldn't want to go up in the cup bc my 75J - Ewa Michalak » Bm Groszki is too big in the cup and the cup volume of my 65JJ is much more appropriate for me.
This bra is lined throughout which I love and it has a softer feel than the Panache Jasmine. It cannot be handled as roughly as the Jasmine. I attempted to adjust on day 1 and heard a heartbreaking "rip." !!! I am heavy handed so I'm going to have to handle this thing gingerly. Hopefully I will not have to adjust it often. Day 1 I did not have to do much adjusting. My breasts are very soft in the center and I had to tuck my tissue back out into the cups a little bit. The gore is a little bit lower than what would be perfect for me.
That's pretty! Great fit! Did you buy the thong? I can highly recommend that one, soooo comfy (runs very large)
pudding I have yet to venture into the realm of EM undies. Not big on thongs, either. But her undies look wonderful! I would be worried about ordering the wrong size.
*SQUUEEEEE* MY BRA FINALLY ARRIVED AFTER BEING HELD HOSTAGE IN THE POST OFFICE DUE TO BAD WEATHER.
I'm actually in the midst of a size change, and I'm finding that getting a good fit is becoming a challenge. I spoke to a few Bratabase users and read a TON of reviews before I ordered this bra ALLLLLL the way from Australia. (Sometimes paying a bit extra is worth it.)
I have always been leery about the BM cut. It never gave me the rounded shape that everyone swore up and down they gave. I always had a lopsided look. Never uplifted. I spilled out. The straps dug. It was an ...absolute nightmare.
Then I decided to give it another go when I saw that Brava Lingerie had Sofia in stock yet. Yay, since EM sold out quickly, right? Wrong. They only had a cup size up from what I was guessing was my BM size. So I decided to ask around, and I gave it a shot.
I was not disappointed. I get that miraculous rounded look. It's uplifted. It's comfortable. It's.. a well-fitting bra (excusing the strapgate issue). I'm so happy that I decided to try a size up, because it would have been too small had I tried a 65J. My larger side actually might be on the verge of spilling out, whereas my smaller side is dwarfed in the extra fabric depending on the angle. The fabric is nice against my skin, it's not irritated. The one thing I did notice was that the extra bit of fabric that "hangs" off the band rolled up a little. Maybe it's due to a loose band, as I think I might have to go in a set of hooks as the loosest seemed that it could have ridden up? I'm not really sure. I'll keep you all updated.
I can take more pictures for anyone who's interested too. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
So, a little update: I've worn this bra for about 20 hours over the course of two days now, each day at work where I'm constantly moving around. I don't spill out or anything which is fantastic, however, the band was riding up my back on the loosest hooks Day 1. Day 2, I switched to the second set in on the bra. The band is STILL riding up. So, I measured my underbust, and I'm sitting at approximately 27.5 inches right now, so I must have had some of my inflammation go down. Yay, but sad for the bra. Second thing I noticed (which I'm going to add a picture of in a moment), was that the strapgate issue is a real problem with this bra. I'm crossing my fingers that it's not a BM issue itself, but the straps are rubbing my skin raw on my arms when they're not falling off of my tiny frame. I'm so disappointed that Ewa will not address this issue. Read more 381 more words
Frazzleberry right?! I was very nervous. Now I'm nervous for the other BM's I ordered in a 65J 🤦 I agree. It's a very pretty bra :)
It looks spectacular on you!! I wouldn't worry too much about the 65Js though, as Sofia runs a bit smaller (tighter/less flexible upper lace) so the average (regular) BMs in a size down should fit well in comparison. :-)
Thanks MamaPagan! I'm hoping that's the case! My first order of Ewa's shipped on the 30th, so they'll eventually make their way here. Kleks, Rubin, and Topaz are what's coming. I read your Kleks review and I got nervous in all honesty 🤧
Kleks loosened up with wear so it should be fine, too, just give it a few days with some boob tension to soften it up. :-)
My order with Topaz shipped the same day so I'm right there with you in anticipation. I'm figuring 3 weeks due to the holiday mail rush, so around the 21st. That being said, it could be as soon as the 9th or as late as 1/11/19 in all reality. The wait is the worst!!
MamaPagan well that's just fantastic news. Wayyyy back when I was pregnant with my first, I honestly think I may have owned Kleks in a 34KK? I can't recall the exact cup size, but I remember the cups doing that horrible sagging thing BM's used to give me. So, my fingers are crossed.
Woohoo! Bra mail is simply the best! I love it. The waiting is definitely the worst. Eek. I hope it shows sooner rather than later!
It looks beautiful on you!😍 I actually considered getting it from Brava and tailoring it down, but you snagged it up! (No hard feelings)
Aha, too funny! I was bummed they didn't have the J cup, but was stoked to see they had the cup size up. Glad I got it as it worked perfectly. It will be loved dearly here ❤️
Oops! My comment was in reference to your shipping one above. We were typing at the same time, haha!
Looks great! I’m in the same kind of bra anticipation. I ordered a BM for Black Friday and it is delayed by the Canada Post strike backlog. I should have been strong, but I took a look and it’s now delayed 2 more days...that’s a full 7 days from the original date.
Thanks. I told myself that I was not going to check it because every time I do, it is pushed back...but today I caved. And it went from the 12th to the 14th. It will arrive. I know it will, but argh!
Not sure if anyone gets updates when I edit a bra or whatnot, but I added some fit issues for anyone who was curious.
Bummer! I found that after a few months of wearing Ewa bras, I got used to the wider set straps, but at first they were not pleasant at all. Hopefully it will get better for you too.
For the band, it sounds like you need to join us at the 60 band club! We will gladly accept you into our little clan of the bigger busted 60 bands. :-D We welcome the added data for our preplexing puzzle!!
DerangedDragons19 That's just how she sets her straps, unfortunately. The elastic does need time to rest between wearings so it might stretch out faster/more if you wear it every day.
MamaPagan I actually have never had a rubbing issue before. Maybe it's just a combination of the lace and bows? It's weird. And painful. Ick.
I do have 60 bands! :) They're not a terrible fit by any means, but I feel like some of the time with my inflammation, they're too tight. I don't know. Maybe I just feel like that because the cups are too small.
Sovavosi True. It's basically the only bra I own right now that fits though, apart from a Curvy Kate that's really an overall bad fit for me haha. I'll just have to alternate for now :)
DerangedDragons19 Probably the cups are too small. My once fitting bands getting tight is a sign that my cups are getting too small, especially since they fit upside down and backwards :)
It could be DerangedDragons19. If the cups are too small it can make an otherwise good fitting band feel too tight. :-/
Dual typing strikes again Sovavosi, haha. At least we are on the same page with our comments. :-D
@sovavosi @mamapagan Aha, you guys are definitely on the same page :) luckily I ordered some more 60 bands! I ordered them because I knew the bras bands ran loose though.
After a wash the straps soften considerably.
brasaremean I'll give it a whirl and update you accordingly :)
I highly suggest loosening the straps and trying that out. I thought all my bands were too big but the straps just were too short and pulling the band up.
cupandahalf Wouldn't I lose the "high", rounded look? I mean, I can give it a go and see what happens, but I feel like support would be lost.
^^^ this is unfortunately a problem I encounter A LOT because all the straps in the world are too short for me. It looks like the band rides up but really the straps pull it up fiercely.
90% of the support should come from the band so if the boobs droop a ton then the bra has other issues. This year I have had neck issues from wearing my straps too tight, and back issues from having the band super tight to make up for the straps. Once I adjusted the bra my muscle pain went away.
cupandahalf I gave my bra a breather for almost two days (taking sovavosi's advice about not wearing it all the time. My ribcage was crying the entire time I wore my CK bra though 😭) before I gave your advice a try! While loosening the straps seemed to help at least for a couple hours, by the end of my shift, my band was and is riding up my back again. Maybe I do need to go down to a 60 band since my ribcage fluctuates so much? I don't know.
Sovavosi it helps until I move, so I'm going to say no to that option? 🤣
Sovavosi it helps until I move, so I'm going to say no to that option? 🤣
Doh! Sorry 🙁
Wow! That rixie clip thingy looks amazeballs! I'm going to have to get one! :)
Rixie clips ARE amazing! Can vouch for them :)
And that's okay! It's about my time of the month, so I think my breasts are just temporarily growing a smidge, which might explain why the bra isn't tacking as well?
Sounds like the band is too loose, straps were too tight, and cups are too small for your current boobage. I would get a 65JJ and 60K- one for when you have swelling and one for normal times.
cupandahalf my problem is now whether I want to cater to my larger breast or to my smaller breast and deal with the non-tacking issue. While lengthing the straps helped tenfold it seemed, my smaller breast was drowning in fabric. I agree with your assessment, but I also feel like, at least for now, I can deal with a non-tacking issue more than I can deal with an extra nearly 2 cup-sizes of fabric on my smaller side, you know?
From experience... fit the larger breast.
DerangedDragons19 I’m like 2 cups different on my smaller side too. I just tighten the strap more. I can’t really see it under shirts anyhow.
Hm. Alright. Thanks, guys!
I mean you do you but my #1 at this point is comfort, not fit.
Such a stunning bra. Pictures don't exactly capture the true colour of it. I find the band tts fairly firm but I am also coming from wearing 34 bands on my 29" underbust. The beautiful feminine touches Ewa michalak is known for don't disappoint with this one. The delicate frills and the bottom of the band as well as the top of the cups give the gorgeous magenta satin a vintage vibe. The pearl dangle on the gore ties everything together in a beautiful turn of the century(19th) vibe. I wore it all day Christmas and it's extremely comfortable. I also bought the matching stringi (thong) which is ...gorgeous I didn't wear it yet as I had a skirt on that day but having tried it it seems quite comfortable and tts in the 36. Not quite as stretchy as the Letnia Noc thong. So happy I didn't hesitate and bought this one as it sold on quite quickly. I could've worn a 70J too but I'm starting to enjoy a nice firm band https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> glad I decided to order custom. I am disappointed that Ewa doesn't just make my size without being custom so unfortunately I won't always be splurging on the correct band size. 65JJ seems to be my perfect S size https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 120 more words
The shape of this looks very different from your turkasowe - this looks shallower on the bottom, maybe?
dbmamaz you I didn't notice until you said that. You are right the Kwiaty seems to have more immediate projection I'm wondering if that's because it's a cup size smaller and being pushed out more for a boobs on a shelf look? I wore it yesterday and I have grown since the picture was last taken for that one and it definitely is more boob on a shelf than this one. I don't have very soft tissue so I can thankfully keep the size down without quading too much. I wouldn't want to lose the Kwiaty it's so beautiful
I hated this bra. The lace was itchy. It gave me a horrible shape. It was like post-baby number 2 when I tried a BM. Cock-eyed, lopsided, conical/pointy shape. I just didn't like it one bit.
I love the look of this one so much, and I do love wearing mine, but I agree about the lace. It's so stiff and unforgiving. It works well for me fortunately, but combined with the wideset straps I can't wear it all the time.
Haha, it's very aesthetically pleasing, but that's where it stopped for me. Unforgiving is definitely the right word to describe the lace. Darn strapgate.
It's such a gorgeous bra though! Sorry it didn't work. :-/
It's such a gorgeous bra though! Sorry it didn't work. :-/
Haha, that's okay. Not for my shape apparently :)
Sorry it didn’t work 🙁
Sovavosi that's okay! I liked the bra, but I didn't love it. I'm more excited to see future SF designs as I've only encountered the pin-up that I really loved (oddly enough as I'm not partial to polka dots haha).
I really wanted this one, seems like I should stay away from it.
I think the SF shape is really hit or miss. I think MamaPagan liked hers? Maybe it was just my preference
I love the look of it, and I didn't get a bad shape when it fit. It isn't one I can order over a 60KK though so it's not an option since the cups were too small when the 60KK SFs still worked.... :-/
Well, I don't do well with super stiff bras because of my firm tissue. The bras end up folding in weird ways.
It didn't feel any stiffer to me than my other SFs, but the upper lace was much more delicate feeling.
Ok, I might try it then... and crush it with my hands ;)
Update: I have been remiss to not mention how SOFT this bra is. The dark blue fabric on the outside of the bra is the softest of any bra I've ever had. It feels like microfiber. I keep touching my boobs XD
I just tried this bra on briefly during my lunch. Band is rather tight, which pleases me. Prior to my delivery today, I had 2 Sfs in the same size - one the band was too tight, the other the band was too loose. I feel like Goldilocks and the three Bras. The colors are very rich and reminiscent of antique upholstery. I really love this lace as compared to the lace on the Sf Pinup and the Sf Kicia - it seems more substantial and prettier.
I tried this bra on briefly during my lunch break. The band is VERY tight. It is probably too tight but I much prefer that to being too loose. The lace on the upper cups is NOT lined. It is also VERY delicate. I do not anticipate this bra will last very long before I tear the lace. I will have to try my best to not make any adjustments in this bra. I am not sure why they decided to not line the lace of this bra - it really should be lined. I feel like I have a very slight quad in this bra but I think my hormones might currently be affecting the fit. The pattern of the cups is alright but not as cute as I had expected. I feel the bra looks much better on EM's models than it does on me. The pink pom pom in between my massive mammaries is a cute little touch
You fill the cups so well! I'm jealous. I always get wrinkles. It looks like a great fit
Oh, I think it looks great! I didn't realize there was a little pompom; it's cute! It does seem weird to not have a light lining behind the lace; is it itchy?
I think it looks fantastic on you!
Thanks, everyone! I tried it on briefly but I don't think it will be itchy. The lace is quite thin.
Can you put some measurements please?
FoxTaylor I will work on that this weekend, no problem.
My band measurements right now: 27" tight, 27.8" comfortable, 29.2" full exhale.
I absolutely love the color of this bra. It's stunning in person.
Upon measuring, I thought the band ran and fit quite tight for this model. I also think the cups look quite pointy, but maybe that's just the silhouette I'm rocking right now? I also think that it would be ideal to try a 60KK/65K in this bra, as I have quite a bit of quadding on my left (larger) side given the right angle. The strap placement is always an issue for me.
I definitely agree you need to size up in cup. You shouldn't be squeezing your larger side into a smaller cup when it's quadding so much. I can relate to why you're trying--it's hard getting used to not as much support on the smaller side, but eventually you don't even notice it.
As for the shape, I agree it looks a bit pointy. It could be the bra, or it could be your own shape (I can't confirm it being the bra because my La Gloria is not pointy, but it's also 5-6 cups smaller than this, so who knows.) How does it look under a shirt? What happens if you tighten the straps a little bit?
Again, not really relevant cause I'm so much smaller than you JJ-K cup ladies, but in 70G I find I lack upper fullness to fill out the cup completely and it gives me a slightly pointed shape rather than a nice round one I get in a cup size smaller. That being said, it still looks really nice under a shirt and it's not hardcore pointy Madonna boob (which I've been known to get in Panaches and such).
To explain, I think it looks way pointier in photos with just the bra on because you can actually see the whole cup and your brain cannot unsee that. With a shirt on it might be a bit better!
brasaremean I agree. *Sigh* I should just return it that way I don't have to squeeze my way into it every. Single. Time.
I added a picture under a shirt. It looks about as bad. I've never really had an issue with this before, so maybe it correlates a little to what happens to you? I can't really say for certain either. Maybe it's what happens when I wear too small of a BM.. maybe my tissue squishes into it so much. Eh *shrug*
brasaremean I actually compared it to my Sofia in terms of measurements and the gore is half an inch lower.. and the unstretched cup depth was also half an inch less. Heck, the band measured more like a 60 as well. Maybe the bra was just made too small.. maybe it was more like a 60JJ?
Maybe it's the case or rogue seamstress again! I do agree it does look still pointy but not as pointy as in the pictures without a shirt. Still if you're not okay with that, you shouldn't have to put up with it. Is the bra returnable?
I'm surprised at such discrepancy in measurements, it sounds more like it's some in-between size than either 60 or 65 with a JJ cup.
brasaremean Maybe you're right! Eek! And I just don't like it. Luckily, it is returnable, so I'm going to return it and the shop owner is going to order it in a 60KK for me instead :) although, trying this 65JJ is confirming my suspicions though.. the three 65J BM's I ordered will probably not fit either. :(
Indeed.. the measurements sure seemed odd to me!
Hopefully the 60KK works better for you!
brasaremean hopefully! It'll be a long while before I'm able to get my hands on it though. Likely not until February we're guessing.
Oh dear. I was going to suggest to go to a store and try it on yourself (foolishly thinking the holidays would be the holdup) but they more than likely just have to order that for you direct from Ewa, don't they? They dont have 60KKs available just like that. Sorry :(

Whoops, double comment. Sorry
Yeahhhh, 60KK isn't a common size, so she does have to order from Ewa directly :) And no worries to the double comment. The more the merrier 🤣🤷
It's okay DerangedDragons19 I will gladly welcome you into my 60KK club. :-D This also gets me convinced you should be doing the 60Q Comexim, as wonky as that cup tends to be. I agree, our rouge seamstress strikes again!! I am getting more nervous about my pending orders with each passing day (and added reviews..... :-/)
MamaPagan woohoo! Thanks! My darn boobs I tell ya what.
If you are full on top you could get a pointy look from a cup not being big enough or tall enough, causing it to smoosh the top of your boob. That’s my diagnosis for this bra.
La Gloria does have a more rigid/sturdier lace than any of my other BMs so that's a god possibility!
The BM gives a more natural look for the most part, and less rounded than the SM or even SF styles. If you look at all the entered photos for La Gloria, there's more pointy natural than rounded ones in the mix. It's also about capuring the right angle, haha, as in my photos some look more rounded while others more natural. That being said, you could be spot on with your diagnosis cupandahalf.
And yes brasaremean, The tulle tension is greater with this one, even compared to it's sister model, Crazy. Crazy had the looser more open top like the full lace Bibis, at least on the one I tried. I was surprised that the two didn't fit/wasn't constructed the same. It's these differences within construction of the same style that frustrates me most. How can we know if the style will work-or a particular size with in it-if they don't keep the construction the same and universal for that style for each and every model? You've got really rigid (Sofia, Kawa) Semi Rigid (La Gloria, Rubin) midway (Antonina, Wersal) and Soft/more open (Bibi Black, Bibi Flamenco) it's impossible to get a perfect fit in them all with these variants. Then you add the rouge seamstress, and you get these odd ball fits that don't match the normal pattern, like Klejnot... These bras are too pricey to have so many inconsistencies.
Don’t forget about BM Grace with her 6.5” wires. Yikes!
Yes, that one is crazy too!
I agree the bras are too expensive not to have a standard of sorts.
That being said our loss is someone else's gain -- BMs that don't fit me for a reason might fit someone else *because of that reason*. Which I think is a fine tradeoff as everyone can find something for themself. I just wish someone would tell us... this is like this, top lace is very rigid/soft, the wires on this one are a bit wider etc. They are pretending theyre all the same! Look at what DerangedDragons19 got. A size that is neither here nor there, a shape she didn't get with Sofia. These things shouldn't be a thing!
I just wanna make an informed purchase you know? This way someone has to get one that doesn't fit in order for the rest of us to know.
Yes, like the listings that say "band runs quite tight", why not state the lace variations the same way? "Top of cup is more open than standard BM" or "lace is firmer than usual" etc. So we can adjust size by detail or avoud what we know isn't compatible with our shape and firmness. Same with the Full lace vs half lace vs SF. Why not have it stated how the sizing varies, and hold to that, instead of telling one person one thing and another something diiferent, or just specifying that the differences vary by band/cup combo? Give us something solid to guide us, please!! We won't even bring up our rouge seamstress again, or how she is really mucking it up for us....
About half lace BMs, I will say that one thing I've noticed is that there are most fit issues with those out of all BMs. Why won't they just come out and say that denser, heavier tissue will not benefit from that bra? Don't get me wrong, my boobs are not heavy at all, they are very deflated and malleable, so I don't have these issues to that degree (unless I loosen the straps for comfort in which case cups collapse on me), but for heavier ones there is just not enough support in that single layer of fabric to carry the weight of the boobs. Like you say, bra vs boob, the boob always wins!
I'm just saying, it would most likely result in a lot more customer satisfaction if they just informed us about 'what this bra can and can't do'.
brasaremean On the flip side they don't say that SF isn't really good for firm boobs. All her write-ups on the site say "good for soft boobs". Mine won't take any shape so the stiffer the bra, the more the bra fails. Not all SFs are as stiff as Blueberry though. 😒

See even that. "the lining of this bra is a little softer/stiffer than our SF standard'. Just little things like that that would make it so much easier for us. Like I don't care, I bought all the BMs I wanted, some fit, some don't, some fit weird, some fit really good, but there's people who save up for months to buy one single bra and imagine buying one and it's just awful, simply cause you weren't informed. And if I didn't try all these BMs maybe I'd be telling a different story, but each and every one has something that's unlike any other. That should be noted in the description methinks.
I think you have all noted very sound and important fit quirks that really should be noted to the consumer.
For us to get as much satisfaction, and confidence in the product we're buying (from both a business and consumer point of view) we need to know what works best with it and what doesn't.
It's, at the very least, a good thing we have bratabase where we can determine/view how a particular bra may fit. But even then, that's all dependent on the information that is already there.
Sovavosi Blueberry is just an off fit IMO. I think my fav SF fit wise is Princessa, even though it is not a color I am particularly fond of. Comfortable though and shaped nicely-& I love that smooth top yet lace bottom. It's a nice backwards from normal bra. I'd love it more if it was a better color-blue, purple, green, brown, or even black would be nice.
Edit - I am disappointed that the cups in this bra in this size are NOT 4 part. Gorgeous bra. Very sexy but does not look sexy on me at all. The band was very loose and is comfortable on the tightest set of hooks. The fabric is some sort of magical flimsy mesh. I feel I am too heavy handed (and boobed) for a bra this delicate. I am sad to have to send it back - the doubled straps in the back are heavenly.
This is gorgeous on you, too. 4-part cups are so supportive. Perhaps Ewa Michalak will create a similar model with 4-part cups. Sigh.
Love4Pollinators thank you for your compliments. EM's website has a lot of pics of this bra and some of them the bra has 4 sections. I assumed in my size that it would be. Guess that's what I get for assuming!
Oh that's frustrating....especially considering the cost and wait!!!
You're one size off from the 4 part cups. In a 65 band, K is where it switches
This Pin-up bra is spectacularly cute. I got the matching thong. It has lots of great aspects, polka dots, lace, and red bows in unexpected places. When I was thinking about what I wanted to say in this review, I was inspired by @Calluna's story telling approach to bra reviews.
So, this is a good news, bad news story.
The good news is that this bra is of great quality and has a true 30 band. It has stretch lace across the top, and stiff polka dot fabric on the rest of the cup. It seems like it would be great for shaping if it was the right ...size. And it is so very cute, anyone would absolutely look like a classic pin-up in this set.
The thong is very flattering, it doesn't dig in to my sides, it lays smooth. I bought a size 40. My hips at the widest point are 37.5. I think I could go down 1 size in these panties. I figured based on my measurements that I was borderline between the 2 sizes, and erred on the side of roomy versus constrictive.
On to more good news. I have been loosing weight sloooowly. I am careening towards my 40th birthday (is this good news or bad news?!) so hoping to look trimmer. For quite a while my boobs weren't changing at all, and in fact seemed to be getting bigger, busting out of bras, not sure if they were bigger or maybe underbust was just a little smaller. Anyhow, they suddenly just dropped size, significantly. Apparently the last part of my body to let go of a little fat. So this is good news to me, because I can fit back in to the cups of some of my pretty bras from a year ago (cute comexims MamaPagan 💕) Plus, I prefer to not be quite as big.
Now the bad news is that they decided to shrink while I had 2 65JJ bras in the mail. I think that this bra would have fit or maybe have been just a little big in the cup. Bad news is that these cups are much too big on me. I'm up for hearing suggestions on what cup size I need at my current size. In more bad news it doesn't look like I can order it again from Ewa.
I know it's bra science, but I was definitely a bit disappointed, I really had my hopes up to wear this adorable set! Read more 318 more words
Ah, unfortunate. I do think this bra looks so so good, such a shame it's too large in the cup for you :( My body's going through some changes too and that's why I pretty much stopped ordering any bras until I can figure out where I stand size wise. I do have a Cleo Lilly in 30GG coming in and I'm hoping so much that it will at least sort of fit, lol.
Also, imho, this looks about 2 cups too large? Not more than that I think.
Yaaay for the weight loss ;) a shame about it happening while these were in the mail :( I really do like this bra though. It's very cute.
I agree with brasaremean on the sizing...maybe 1.5 -2 cups large
Yay for the desired loss in volume. Sorry it resulted in pending bras not fitting by their arrival. :-( Such a bummer indeed. Hugs 💙
The plus side is new designs, including a polka dot BM, are on their way soon! It's looking like a March to April release, so you have a bit of time to figure out a good size.
And Yay to the Comexims fitting again! 💕
As for size to go with, I give a warning that Sovavosi can confirm. There is a jump in volume between the 60JJ and 60K cup, which could also occur in the sister sizes. I would see if you can find a returnable (or borrow) a 65J before ordering 2 cups down as due to the jump, the 65J may work perfectly.
I think DerangedDragons19 has a few, or at least used to though she may have passed them on by now. In fact she may be able to confirm if the jump in cup volume occurs in the 65 sister sizes as well. :-)
It's not just a depth jump, the apex height grows a lot from 60JJ to 60K. If you are also low apex it makes the cups "too big" but sizing down is too small. It sucks.
Helloooo. I did not get that notification haha. veggiechic I do have both of my 65J BM's yet :) I don't think the Croptop will fit as it measured more like my 65JJ Sofia. If you want, you can send me a message and we can chat a little about them if you're interested in giving them a try 😊
Firstly, let me just say that I feel a special sense of accomplishment having an Ewa bra so new that I have to actually add the bra to bratabase. The band on this is not as tight as my other SF Pinup but I wouldn't say it's loose. The nude lining under the black lace is a nice little touch that makes a big visual impact. I feel the fit of the cups is a tiny bit looser than my other Sf, as well which I consider a good thing because the pinup cups are sometimes quadding a teeny tiny little bit.
Cool! My purple SF was looser in the band than my beige one, and I had to go up to my S cup size, which seemed odd. Not sure i'm going to need more bras for a long time, tho.
Gorgeous & fun bra. Very supportive. Very secure fit. Wonderful, orb shape. Breasts nice and close together. Material other-worldly. Band VERY firm. Cups bordering on too small. When I move about I start to get bumps at the top of the cups but I think it's about 2% too small and I'm not sure I want to go down in the cup.
that does look great! I'm still hoping she comes out with more - i dont actually like that pattern personally.
Adorable!!!
OMG YOUR PHOTOS IN FRONT OF THE FLAG!!!
I love that you went the extra mile to match your bra and your background.
cupandahalf thanks for noticing :D my husband referred to this as my "4th of July Bra" so I thought it would be fitting!!! Lol
funny, i didnt consciously see the flag, but I did have a sudden 'oh, its a red-white-and-blue bra'. So i still think it impacted me subconsciously
It's super cute! I wonder, if the band is much firmer than necessary perhaps you could try to buy a 1/2 inch of added band length thanks to an extender, and it might help the fit of the cups. The wires look like they're angling out towards your back which rarely happens with EM indicating that you might be losing a teensy bit of cup depth due to the extra firm band.
btw, my first SF said it was an extra firm band, so i bought a 75 and it was a perfect fit. The purple didnt say, but I bought a 75 - it was definitely looser than the original beige one, and within a few weeks it was stretched out to a normal-to-slightly-tight 75 imo. so hopefully it'll stretch quickly too
wendybien I kinda wondered that myself for a moment maybe the tight band is giving me a little less room in the cups. This is the firmest 65 band out of the I think 5 bras I've gotten. Which I love bc they seem to give out so quickly :(
I'm between a 30 and 32 in most brands and if it's on the tighter end of what fits me, it often steals a little volume from the cup and I like to use an extender until the band eventually relaxes after a few months. And conversely I have a few bras that are a bit too ample in the cup but I can kinda make them work better if I put them on the tightest hook which again steals some projection/volume. It's def. a hack you do NOT want to over-rely on as it will mess up the cup fit in too many ways, but to adjust something just a hair, it's effective!
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. This color is divine. I am glad that they sold out of bm szarmaragd or whatever it's called because I like this one so much more. I am particularly delighted by how the lace overlay wraps around and covers the wings and the back of the bra. What a lovely detail. That nobody will ever notice or care about but mehttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" /> this bra differs from the bm magnolia in that the top section of the cups is not lined and the stretch lace seems to be much more durable than the magnolia. I felt like this bra had a rounder profile than the magnolia but in the side shot photo it looks like a damn torpedo bra. But in the angle shot I have lovely round orbs so who knows WTF happened there folks. This bra makes me want to walk around in sheer shirts. I'm very glad I ordered this bra.
This looks amazing! If I ever try a BM I think it might be this one.
That is lovely! Wonder why the colors looked so garish on their website
I agree, it is prettier in person, dbmamaz . This bra is so pretty, it makes me want the matching panties. I have never gotten EM panties before. And unfortunately, Zathiya doesn't have any listed on her website.
This bra is a pretty muted color combination of light and dark grey, white, and pastel pink. The quality of the bra is excellent. There is stretch lace across the top, with a stiff material across the rest of the cup. It seems like it would provide great shaping in the correct cup size. I was very excited to buy this bra from Stinkmouse. Unfortunately, as mentioned in my review of my 65JJ Pin-Up, I lost cup volume suddenly between ordering and receiving bras, so the cups are way too big. This bra band is also stretchier than the pin-up, stretching to 31 inches. ...I find that a band stretching to 30 or a little under is my ideal. This band immediately felt like it was sliding up my back, even on the tightest hooks. This makes me continue to feel nervous about which band size to order in the future from Ewa, it seems like I might have to make the decision on a style by style basis based on other people's reviews of the band. A true 60 band would be too tight, but a stretchy 65 band doesn't work for me either. Don't you all just wish once we figured out our size you could order bras and they would fit! So despite adding to bra science I still feel confused. I am definitely going to wait a while before I order more bras to see if my current size is staying for a while. Read more 144 more words
Keep in mind that when the cups are too big, you don't get as much band tension, giving the illusion of the band being too big. With the correct cup volume, the bands should feel more true to size. 💙
Sorry this one doesn't fit either. Hopefully your next batch of bras will be better.
Gorgeous bra. Pretty cocoa on the cups and the rest is a lovely color I would describe as fawn. This bra differs from the bm magnolia in that the entire cup is not lined. The upper portion of the cups is made of what seems to be a much more durable stretch lace. The profile seems to be less pointy than the bm magnolia which for me is a good thing. The band in the Naomi is stretchier, however.
Runs fairly true to size, in both bands and cups. I think I'm a 30K at the moment and it's slightly too small, but I don't get overspill - more the cups shift down slightly throughout the day. I think a 30K would be a better fit. The wires are the narrowest I've ever seen in this size. They're about the same height as PL wires, but they hit further forwards (more on my front than under my arms), so they don't irritate my armpit. The straps are slightly more central than on the PL, so they sit flat and don't irritate. I've written an in-depth review and comparison of the S and PL bras on my blog, for anyone who wants more detail.
This is my first properly fitting EM CH-style bra, the previous being the CH Lato, which had a too loose band. Since I now have a couple of CHPs that fit perfectly, reviewing this one is easier. Now, the shape I get with the CH Biszkopty is uncannily like the one I get with my Belle Modeste custom made overbust corset. Very rounded, very uplifted and quite narrow from the front. I don't see much difference to the CHPs, but may be because in this big cupsize the fine points of construction are lost. The basic model works magnificently, however. Pros: - Ewa has obviously patented the gravity-defying ...support. And thank goodness for that! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> - The shape (rounded, perky) knocks just about anyone off their feet - simply perfection - Soft materials all over - Very sturdy band. Now this is what I'd call "tight". Hope it'll hold its shape better than the Ch Lato, which had a sadly stretchy band. - Good, neutral powder colour, disappears under light shirts.
Cons: - In JJ cup the bra is indeed sturdy. It may distract those who subconsciously want a bralette. Beware, the Biszkopty is IMO padded a bit more thickly than the other padded EMs. Read more 102 more words
Finally, a cup volume that FITS! Sadly the band feels one size too large for me. 😑 This 65 feels like a 70-band to me. The bra is pretty, but not my style. Almost baroque with how dramatic the flowers are--they're iridescent and large. Ewa says that the bra is dark brown on her site but I feel like most of the fabric looks more like the darkest red possible. My eyes could be being tricked with all this red though.
This is the most full-coverage BM I've ever tried, coming up very high on me. It looks like a "lot of bra," but it doesn't feel like it on. ...It has a very similar cup structure to the 70HH - Ewa Michalak » Bm Malachit, with extremely soft black lace making up the inner cup structure and a floral lace overlay for color. This cup is more structured than the BM Malachit's, though, and I feel more supported in this cup due to the stiffness of this bra's outer floral fabric. I would suggest this bra for someone with a larger cup given that. It seems like the bra would handle some cup size fluctuation as well, because the upper cup section is stretch lace-y even though the rest of the cup has less stretch to it for structure.
This bra is very deep at the apex, and it seems to have good projection at the wire as well. I don't like how pointy this made me look, but I was OK with Freya's signature 2010-2017 pointy look, so this is just a personal preference. Read more 157 more words
I really wanted to get this in a 60K, but EM didn’t have the pattern to make it. Ordered it in a 65JJ, but since it was made for a bigger frame, the fit is less than ideal. The wings are really tall, and I have empty space there (top part of wing), since the top expects someone with a much larger underbust than I have. That is also why the straps are really wide set on me. The funny thing that my boobs unbutton the lower half of it accidentally. The cup volume is correct, but I would prefer it in a 60K, or maybe even a 55KK since the band is really stretchy.
If you're handy with a sewing machine, it's not too difficult to shorten the band by taking in the center back area. I did that with my sleep top last year. I also lowered the armpit area as well since it was ridiculously too tall: https://www.bratabase.com/bra/diub3/
I wanted to try an Ewa Michalak bra and selected this one from advice from Jaimie over at Bra Obsessed. She suggested that I go up a band and cup size from my normal size.
The good: This bra is the first bra I’ve tried that doesn’t have cloth rubbing against my armpit. The straps can adjust more than any Curvy Kate or Panache bra I’ve ever tried. The material is super soft, even though it looks scratchy. It’s quite beautiful.
The bad: This bra is not designed for my shape at all. I can stick a hand in the top on both sides. The bottom still shows wrinkles, which has always been a bad sign for me of too shallow. The band is bigger than I would like, I can fasten it on the second tightest hook to start, and there are four columns of three hooks on this bra.
I wish this bra would have worked, since it feels quite comfortable.
so weird, I just got this in a 75J and its a super awesome fit for me. Sorry it didnt work
Sigh. Thankful the material is soft. Hope you find a better fit soon!
I'm surprised anyone suggested going up a cup size in the BM. That bra is so tall & deep! A lot of people have to size down a cup in it. I find it fairly shallow at the bottom too though. It's not a horrible fit on me but there are better fits out there.
lcl0706 She said "In your size range, most go up two cups in padded bras and one cup in unpadded bras." From everything I've read about Ewa bras recently, it seems like the brand is highly inconsistent.
Oh, yeah, i missed that up-a-cup bit. I wear the same size in panache and ewa unlined.
Thank you for add this & for measuring it too!! :-) Yay!!
