HIGHLIGHTING RIGHT NOW THAT MY PICTURES ARE OF WHEN I GREW OUT OF THE BRA. I CANT FIND PICTURES OF WHEN I FIRST HAD IT. SORRY.
At the height of my post pregnancy and breastfeeding days, I had this bra along with three other Ewas in rotation. I liked it well enough, but strapgate was always an issue, as it is for me with just about any S shape. I have dainty, sloped shoulders, and many people know that Ewa just doesn't attempt to fix the issue in the smaller banded sizes. The coverage, and lifted, rounded shape I got was nice though, and it was easy to ...breastfeed in while I was still doing it. I stopped wearing it for a combination of reasons. The straps became too much of a (literal) pain in my underarms and shoulders, I grew out of the band, and the underwires broke through and poked me in my ribs. And I can't sew for the life of me, so I just kind of put it in the "meh" pile in the back of my closet. Read more 74 more words
It's such a beautiful color though! Add any &/or all photos you have-each and every one is helpful to someone, as we all have different aspects that we look for regarding bra details and fit. In my opinion, there's never too many photos! :-)
Yikes those straps. I don't know how she can fit straps like this on any of her models and say "that's a good fit right there."
But she wouldn't. She'd just put them in 2 cups too small to give that over the top mounds & call it all good! ;-)
MamaPagan That's funny because they tried to put me into a 32 band that was seemed too big to me and a full cup size down from what I was already starting to "muffin top" out of on my larger side.
Yeah, Ewa has a unique way of looking at fit, which typically includes sizing up in the band and down in the cup. Gosia is currently at a 65HH which just seems insane! If the band isn't providing any support, the back pain ensues.....no one wants that!!
Pain is apparently sexy, just ask Victoria's Secret!
Sovavosi That seriously made me laugh out loud, thank you!
Shoot, I live for pain guys. No pain, no sexy lingerie effects I guess?
And yeah.. she seems bigger to me.
We are all in the same general consensus. Gosia is a normal topic here, once every 6 months or so since I joined, haha.
Poor Gosia. Such a hot topic 🤣 I wonder how she feels?
Hopefully special, because we love her! (And all of the Ewa models!!)
AHHHHHH! Thank goodness I have such broad shoulders, and to think I used to hate them and think they made me look like a (US) football player!!! That's pretty insane. I've actually commented on their FB page that all of their straps are too wide, but that's just how they (and seemingly all polish brands) do.
Hahaha, that's too funny. Broad shoulders are the bomb when it comes to Polish bras :p
My S Porto came today and my straps pretty much look like this. I wish I was a football player.
Sovavosi Oh no :( I'm sorry! I have had luck with having someone move my straps in 2cm with the S shape though, if ever you want to go that route :)
I think these would need to be moved in at least an inch. Maybe two. There is so much gaping at the top because if it and my short boobs, it's ridiculous. If I take the strap up and just hold the cup up, it's full coverage but fits fine.
Maybe you can move the straps in and add a bullet near the top, to counter balance that height?
Bullet?
Oh yikes. :/
Sovavosi Yep. 9mm should work. ;-) Just kidding. A bullet as in a triangle pleat to take up that upper slack. If that makes sense?
Oh ok. I'll see what I can do.
Let me know if you need a visual. I can try and find one and email it, or add the link here. I know I'd seen it done somewhere.....
Okay, seeing as I've just got this bra (I literally just picked it up) I'll probably add some more stuff later, once the shine wears off.
Off the bat, I will say, I definitely understand what you all mean by the narrow wires. Do you see how it's not stretching all the way to my back? I am amazed. lol. The band seems firm enough, but it also feels like there's more room to stretch. It has a measurement of 22 inches not stretched and 29 inches stretched. I'm somewhere around a 28 (for reference) and it feels pretty comfortable to me.
The gore tacks, but it doesn't press in ...painfully as some brands can do (I don't really feel it actually), and there's also some overlapping of the wires. I guess this contributes to it tacking fully, rather than just having one wire tack.
The cup height also doesn't feel uncomfortable. What I will say however, is those straps! Initially when I put them on there were on the slackest setting, I drew them up slightly because (and this is one point of contention with the bra) it didn't feel as if it were holding me up? Like my breasts honestly felt they were see-sawing... That I think is my major gripe with the bra. I don't feel there's much support with this. My second issue are those darn straps. As I said before, i tightened them (juuuust) slightly, but then I had to angle them inwards because the were wide (I think wider than my Jasmine from Panache). Now generally, this is a thing I do with straps, but after angling them inwards they felt like there were cutting in :/
Granted all in all, it's not a bad bra, and I'd say it fits ^_^. I could deal with the straps. I love the wires. It's just the support that's bugging me.
Just a side mention .. I like that little charm at the gore. It's a cute touch.
---
Just a note on the measurements I entered for the cup depth. Both the maximum and minimum cup depth were recorded. Maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 15.75 inches. The minimum cup depth was measured by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This was recorded at 13 inches.
Welcone to the joys and frustrations of Ewa bras! I can say that the straps used to really bother me but after a few months I actually got used to them and now they aren't a bother. For additional support, try a middle hookset and see if that helps. Also, you'll get more lift in the cups when you can adjust the straps a bit more, but it may take some time to adjust to the wideset strap placement first. Once able to do that, the cups will feel more supportive. :-)
MamaPagan, I can see that happening with the straps (it not being a bother after a while) because the material is pretty soft (so is that lace..I can't stop touching it).
Ah yes, I'll try that with the band and once the straps feel a bit more comfortable I'll do that.
Thanks!
You're welcome :-)
In my experience, the single layer EM bands do stretch out faster and more than double layered ones. Maybe it's just me though, I get really bothered by a loose band because I feel like it's not as supportive.
As for the straps, they cut in and bother me the first time I wear the bra, but then I get used to it (and I think it softens up). After a wash or two the irritation completely goes away. I really really think it's the scallop-y edges on the bra where the actual discomfort comes from.
That being said you are right that this bra doesn't look very supportive on you. Would you say you have firmer tissue rather than soft? Maybe the SF cut would suit you better?
And also, the half lace BMs do not have any lining. The full lace ones do and that might make a ton of difference when it comes to support!
brasaremean I think because I'm somewhere between a 28-29 back. The band doesn't bother me too much..but then we'll see after I wear it for a while and how it stretches. After taking on this bra and putting on my Jasmine it made the Jasmine feel really loose and uncomfortable.
I can live with the straps but it's good to know they soften.
I think I do have soft tissue (how do you tell though?), that's why I'm thinking of the SF. Thanks.
Part of it could also be because of how the straps/band were adjusted. Everything was pretty much on the loosest level. I've since adjusted it and it seems to be a little better now, but I'm leaning towards trying the SF and seeing how that works.
I'm pretty happy how this turned out though. There are a couple of fit issues I had before that got solved with this bra.
brasaremean double typing here.. didn't see your last comment. Ooh that works then also. So I can probably also try a full lace option.
Thanks!
The SF cups have a lot more structure, think Jasmine. However I will say that they feel like they have less immediate projection than the BMs (or Jasmine). Now I only tried one SF bra and I'm not even close in size to you so I'm useless with any information, however I know both MamaPagan and Sovavosi are about your size and they have some SFs reviewed (along with photos of the inside of the cup to show the structure).
Overall I would say that SFs have more support than BMs but they also come with some different issues (for me).
That's how it goes, every next bra gets you closer to that optimal (if not perfect) fit.
Since I already interjected on the BM vs SF post, I won't repeat myself here, haha.
I don't notice the difference in support between the BM and SF because I have firm tissue. You can tell if your tissue is firm or not from how it behaves when you smoosh it... my boobs have the same shape regardless of what bra I put them in. They don't quad when a bra is too small, I just get a slight indentation.
The S had the most support that I could feel, it's like boob lockdown... except that it's so shallow on the bottom. :(
Kk, hmm..so I think in my long term plans (I'll try the SF and one of the all over lace ones to see which one works best). Thanks brasaremean , MamaPagan.
@Sovavosi , aah I see. Not sure if I'll be trying the S but having them under lockdown does have their own appeal. Lol. Thanks!
I think it's safe to say I soft tissue then
You're welcome :-)
And I second Sovavosi with the S style lockdown. It is a great period and ovulation bra.
Aaah I didn't even think about that! They're always very tender around that time and the least bit of bounce makes it hurt.
That's one of the wonderful things about this community. We can brainstorm and come up with some awesome ideas and theories! :-D
Working together is a glorious thing.
Frazzleberry maybe this is dumb but tentatively, judging from how this bra fits the few other users in your exact size and how similar-cut bras fit others in closeish sizes, I find you are getting quite a bit more coverage than the design intends. Combined with the fact I see a tiny bit of wrinkling around the edges/underneath and the fact you say you don't feel secure, I wonder if this is not one cup volume too large for you. Maybe going down one cup would pose other problems, I'm not sure, but maybe worth considering? As I said last week sizing up in the cup can be a totally valid bra hack (and one I am rocking at this very second as I sit here in my overly-shallow-but-fits-comfortably-in-2-cups-over-my-usual-size Passionata Brooklyn :-D). But since you're having trouble with the strap placement and feeling unsupported, in this case a smaller cup volume could be worth a look, because those two problems are pretty typical of a too-large cup.
Any thoughts on the above MamaPagan ? I imagine based on your past comments that you've more often been thwarted by EM cups being too small or snug since you are at the outer edge of their size chart already, but in the styles where you've gotten a fit, you probably have a pretty good eye for how much coverage and support would indicate optimal volume.
wendybien that is a thought, but honestly (and I'm not one to generally overshoot cup sizes) I think if i went down a cup it may be too small :/, but then I'm not familiar with Ewa's sizing. I'll go look back at the measurements. I will say this though after adjusting the the straps (I adjusted the straps - it was really loose at the time- and the band) it wasn't that bad.
whenever my next bra adventure comes I'll put that down as one of my options, I guess that would be around a 65JJ... And I'll see which way is the best to go
I'll be wearing it for the full day tomorrow, so I suppose any support issues should show itself then..
wendybien I do tend to get a good/great/sometimes perfect fit in Ewa's BM 60KK, and based on what Frazzleberry explained and what I see, I am confident the fit will be better for her with tightening the straps a bit and trying a tighter hookset, though I obviously can't guarantee a perfect fit as a result. :-D
A few months back I was having major skin sensitivity issues and had to loosen all my straps completely as well as my bands. Instant no support, and wrinkling at the bottom of the cup similar to what she is experiencing. Half an inch tightened and the wrinkles disappear, a bit more with the band at a secure setting, and I get the lift you see on Ewa models, but I don't like my straps that tight. Add my permanent shoulder grooves that hold the straps in place and I don't need them tighter to keep them on my shoulders. Off topic, sorry.
I have several BMs I tried in a 60K and 60KK, and while the 60Ks looked like they fit, the gore was way off my sternum. The 60KK BMs that I have that are a bit too small and cut in at the top are more due to the lace not having as much give and me having taller breast tissue than the stretch lace on those models can accommodate. I may try those models in a 60L at some point, but I am not sure it would help.
Point being that while yes, she may be able to fit in a cup size down, the result may be no tack and less support as was with my experience.
When trying Ewa bras (Polish bras in general) after UK ones, the strap placement does take some time to adjust to and we tend to wear the straps looser than we should as a result.
Honestly, @Frazzleberry's breasts look bigger to me than mine do, so I'd be leery about suggesting a smaller cup than I wear. I do see validity in everything you said, but the bra measurements seem normal for this cup/band combo in comparison to my 60KKs, so I would be more apt to suggest like brasaremean did and say try the full lace BMs for for reinforcement and the SF style as well for added support.
That doesn't mean Frazzleberry that you couldn't try a size down if it's available and returnable. Doing so for me (several times) helped put my mind at ease about size and fit, and the realization my breasts are too soft to create the rounded mounds in a smaller size, but quad instead.
Frazzleberry Sorry, I was typing a book worthy reply when your comment came in so I missed it until now. I can't wait to hear the update on support and comfort after tomorrow's wear! :-)
am I the only one who does not see any pictures?
No, but if you go to the photos of the size up there you will see some photos, it's the only set in this size
She chose not to link them dbmamaz, but as brasaremean stated, they are visible under the bra's main page.
yes, this notification brought me to the page, looks good!
I'm going to preface my next four reviews with a few points: -I ordered these bras at the BF sale, which was well over two months ago -my breasts have had a lot of growth lately -I knew, thanks to several BtB users and their suggestions (but I'd like to shout-out to Mamapagan for her phenomenal amount of help, time, and insights) that none of these bras would fit due to what Mamapagan and I are dubbing as the Teapot Effect.
Teapot Effect Explanation: Because my breasts are large, pendulous, and Omega shaped, it can be a little difficult to gauge one's correct size. So while it may seem like a too-small ...bra works, it still has some somewhat manageable fit issues. My breasts can "fit" into a J cup just fine, right? But here's what's really happening. The cup is lifting only a portion of my tissue (important to remember the REST of my tissue isnt even in the cup) which still gives me that signature EM rounded look. But the cups soon begin to sag under the weight of my breasts. In turn, this causes my band to slide up my back and the underwires on my bras to slide down and dig into my ribcage. Finally, my excess tissue that was never in the cup to begin with, starts to escape from the tops of my cups, much like pouring tea from a teapot. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Yikes. I didn't like the look of this bra one bit. I had a lot of pinched tissue going on again, despite the depth measuring at 15" (fun fact, this is the deepest bra that I own). The adjustable strap details were super... Weird. They're difficult to adjust and they sit odd as well. I did my best for photos, but I still don't think they're 100% where they need to be sitting. I don't know why the one cup is wrinkling towards the gore. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can shed some light for me? I was wearing this bra on its tightest hookset and I still felt like it was big, but, again, not surprising since I'm measuring a ≈27.5ish for my band measurement anymore. Read more 261 more words
The cup looks like it's collapsing under the weight of the breasts, maybe because the cups are too small and the band is too big? The wires also look really wide.
You don’t have enough center room in this bra. Happens to me all the time. You probably need more space in the middle there.
That could be. Maybe my fit issues with my BM's are just way more noticeable in an SM shape haha? You know, I noticed that! Might have to compare them!
Your club stinks! AprilGoulding I want out 😂😂 just kidding, but seriously, I wasn't aware I had that problem!
yup. It stinks in terms of bra fit. I need projection all around the wires - not just at the bottom. Stretch lace is my best friend, hence why I LOVE BMs soooooo much.
Hm. Sounds that way. I love the stretch lace too. So forgiving 😁
Awe, I feel so loved! 💕 The ability to see what's going on in the cup is a plus to the SM style. I think the cup doesn't have enough space all together, not just the gore though. Your poor boobs are so squished they are being pinched. Ouchie. 😬😖
MamaPagan definitely a huge plus. I can see much better how my breasts fit (or don't fit) in the cups. It just makes me stop and cringe about my 65J BM's. Yikes.
Darn deceptive cups on those non-sheer bras! 😬😖😬😖😬
Right haha?!
I get those wrinkles all the time. It sucks being short rooted in a tall root world- by the time you get enough room in the center you’ve run out of cup letters and the top of the bra is all flappy. I have not been able to do Ewa Michalak or Panache at all because of that, no full cups, no half cups because of the lack of center room in them...and it’s a greater problem in smaller band large cup sizes because the grading isn’t what you need in Curvy Kate, my best UK brand. Maybe look into Comexim plunges? But then you have strap trubs. It’s a conundrum.
Well dang it. I laughed at your use of "flappy". 😂 I'm not sure if I can manage a plunge at this point in the game. I tried one (mind you, it was closer to probably two years ago) from Comexim and the cup came up super high and I wasn't able to properly fill the top which left a lot of weird gapping. Not only that, but because my left and larger side is so soft, I was essentially falling out of the front anyway 🤷
And then there's the wing completely in the armpit..... 😬😖😬
Full coverage includes the armpit too!
But why? 😖 I tell you if they had lower wings on most of my bras, I wouldn't have as many issues with the side curve sawing at the arm/armpit. 😖
I was being sarcastic 😀
Why? Because these models were probably developed by scaling it mathematically and never tested on a person.
Sarcasm only works when it's not true though! 😄😖😬😖😄

*Cries in Pin-Up* this bra is seriously one of my favorites. It was so comfortable back when it fit, but sadly, this one does not. My fit issues aren't nearly as prominent compared to the other bras, but that's what's so bad about this one. My tissue is being pinched. It's astoundingly uncomfortable how tiny the cups felt. If I hadn't have messed with the straps a little and if the top part of the cups didn't have such accommodating stretch-lace, there would be a lot more quadding. The band rode up a little on this one, which was only a little surprising considering it's a 65 band, whereas I think I'm a 60 band. Read more 249 more words
Gorgeous set - I love the black stretch lace over the "nude" base, giving it a silvery look in different lights. I think it's very sophisticated-looking.
I thought it was slightly too large in the cup, but it is in fact too small. I've had it for a while and thought it fits, but have realised that I've been wearing it with the straps completely loosened because it's so tall at the underarms. The underarms/straps dig in terribly on my narrow shoulders when actually tightened, even moreso if I tighten to where I would actually need them. I also get deceptive gapping at the top of the cup/strap, which ...made me think the bra was too big when it wasn't. I went into this issue more on my blog review.
I usually wear a 30JJ in most bras, but I was told PLs run small and to size up, so this is a 30K. I thought it was too big, but as I said above, it's actually too small. I would likely need a 30KK/L, with alterations to the straps/armholes, for it to fit properly.
It is quite firm in the band, I would say it's a true 30. The wires are quite narrow, and it has four columns of three hooks-and-eyes, which are good as the bra stretches out. I've had this bra for about half a year now and it's barely stretched at all, though I've only really worn it a couple of times (due to it being too small). Read more 141 more words
I'm finally ready to review this one. I have been wearing it for about a month now and have finally made up what I think of it. What you need to know before reading this is that I prefer unpadded bras and my wardrobe does not require plunges because with full on top, close set and high in chest boobs I get cleavage in everything.
The cups - in 30 K the cups are made from 4 parts. I found the pl shape suits me better than the chp for this reason - the top horisontal pannel adjust better to my full on top boobs and because of it I ...feel more secure and contained, than in open on top halfcuppy chp. They are cotton lined and feel great against the skin, and outter fabric is great to touch/grope. The padding is light, almost spacerfoam like, which is my favorite material ever. The diamond pattern does not show through shirts, the seams however do, but not too bad.
The band - even though it's very stable and firm, the edging on the band iritated me until I bled. It curled up under wires causing a hideous rash. Finally I had to sew up the band on the cups so it curls to the outside (a fix I learned from Bras I hate review of the Tease me). It probably was too tight from the start, but after two weeks of wear and that alteration it is now comfortable. I do wish the side wings came higher.
The straps - Oh I hate them so! They are not as bad as the Boudoir Beau straps, but they take a firm second place in my most hated strap list. How could they be so wide and promising and then curl up in such a torture device? Sure, my high on chest boobs require shortening of the straps to the maximum more often than not. But if you make a fully adjustable strap, they shouldn't start to deform when adjusted 2/3 of the way because they can't handle the strain. They are not only set too far apart for me, so they painfully dig in my arms at the side, they are also positioned in the weirdest of places at the back so they iritate and restrain my shoulderblades while I move around. I have decided to replace them with freya antoinette straps that would be positioned more to the center. I will do so in a couple of months as I can't bring myself to chop up a fairly new bra.
The gore - this is the firs time I kept a plunge and now I'm sure I perfer higher gores. They make me feelmore stable and secure, but the main reason is I do not like boobs touching in the middle. As for this one, as low as it is, it's stll too wide for my boobs because they are close set not only at the top, but at the bottom as well. This could be fixed by taking in the gore, but that would mean taking offthose cute buttons tgat turned a dull nude bra into something worth observing. So this alteration will be done when the bra gets older and the band looser. I also had to bend the gore inward to make it lay flat, and it did only after I lost a few pounds and some boob weight - the bra was too small to begin with.
The wires - superbendy, easy to adjust to your ribcage and they stay put whole day long. Not pokey under arm either.
The shape - this is the reason I tolerate this bra and ignore all of the issues. The greean shape - very lifted, very centered. To paint a picture, my boyfriend got so used to my boobs in this bra, he was horified after seing me in the andorra and asked me why are my boobs so low! ( and andorra is a heavy lifter, make no mistake!) It does project more than my cleos and panaches from the profile, and it adds 2 cm to my overbust measurement in comparison. I don't feel like it ads too much bulk because of the padding though - I was afraid it would be much worse, not being used to padding at all. The profile is also pretty round, but still very "out there" and natural looking. Still prefer cleo profile though.
The look - i love it, that's why I bought it. It shows that nude doesn't have to be boring if you add thoughtful ande tasteful little details. The tone matches my skin purrfectly. Read more 657 more words
I know I said I said I'd wait for a full day of wearing it before writing a review, but apparently when it comes to sharing bra news, I'm impatient. So I'll add info if there's anything additional to add when I wear it for a full day.
So this bra works as an everyday staple. It's solid black and the lower half is made of a thicker material, that (to me) feels similar to the material on the bravissimo's sports bra. It's not quite the same. But they're similar in terms of thickness and stiffness (it's not too stiff but it does have some structure to it). It ...also has two vertical seams. The upper half consists of a folder over stretchy tulle. Now as much as a like the concept, what happens to me when I wear it, is that the top of that fold forms a little lip that prints through. So your mileage will vary on how you feel about that.
The maximum and minimum cup depth were recorded at 14.3 inches and 12.5 inches respectively. I had entered the maximum cup depth in the measurement table. he maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee and the minimum cup depth by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure and recording that value. The band measures 23 inches not stretched and 28.8 inches stretched.
This bra has a few details such as a button at the gore and straps, as well as flower pattern on the straps, that takes it a step above basic. It really is a wonderful looking bra and quite comfortable at that.
The material is smooth against the skin and I have not found it to be itchy. As with other 65/30 bands, I hook it up on the second tightest hook and it could go tighter. Unfortunately, as it regards the cups there is some quadding on my larger side and a small bit on the smaller one.On a side note I just realised that one of the side pics may have made it look larger that it really is, due to the quadding on my larger side (it's behind the smaller one) and the lighting. So I'll make a note there.
I also feel like the gap between the straps and the body are more noticeable on this one, in comparison to the BMs. The gore doesn't lie flat either..it's maybe about half a finger - to a finger away from the sternum.
That being said, I really like this bra. I like the feel of it and the rounded shape it gives. So while this one is a miss. I don't count it that way.
Sometime in the future I'll probably try and SF again, but in a larger cup size and see how that works. The next on my to-buy list though, is the brownie bra. Read more 372 more words
Bummer that the cups are a bit small, but it still looks great on you. :-)
Brownie is on my purchase list too. (Through Magda!! :-D)
I hope the fit of that one is better for you. :-)
Thanks MamaPagan. I really do like it, so I'm not complaining. Yep I'm planning to order through Magda also 😁
Yes, I found I had to wear the SF in the same size as my S, a cup size up from BM
Frazzleberry Hopefully we can have them ordered tomorrow since Ewa will be open again, yay!! :-)
@dbmamaz Did your order arrive yesterday?
dbmamaz that does seem to be the case with some of the SFs. Would you say the S shape is generally a cup size up? Or does it vary within the shape?
@MamaPagan I can't wait 😁😁
Frazzleberry I can't speak for others, but in my experience, my S size has always been a cup up from a BM size. It's that way with an SF and an SM shape for me as well (at least in the past). :)
I, too, am excited for the brownie bra, as I feel my Topaz BM I bought is going to be miles too small. :)
The S is too shallow on the bottom for me and too tall, so I went up a cup size from my SF size. This didn’t fix the tall problem but it was deep enough. The S is a lot smaller depth wise than an SF of the same size.
Ahh kk. I see. Eventually I do want to try one of the S multiways but that's more of a vague in the not immediate future kind of thing. So I was just wondering about the sizing
Frazzleberry I agree a cup or two up for the S style but as Sovavosi stated, it just lacks the needed immediate projection, which makes for a less than ideal fit...... :-/
Darn :/
I know! Some of the S styles are gorgeous and I keep trying them, but aside from Zielony, I never liked the fit or shape they gave. :-/
But, if you like the SF you can sometimes order the S style in the SF style.
The Brownie disappeared from the website :( whyyyyy
Whaaaaat???? 😭😭😭😭
No panicking yet. I am sure it is only temporary. :-) Magda has an inquiry into Kaśka about it (and a few others), so we should have a confirmation soon. (As in the next day or so.)
I have it in my wishlist on Ewa's site. It's still there, but not viewable to the public, like Dita was 2 months ago. Not sure why, but with Topaz still being available, I don't see Brownie not being an option. So.....too early to panick just yet!
I have to wonder if it is still because of the holiday/post-holiday buying spree. Blueberry's stock is getting low... there goes my chance of getting another size :(
Ok..makes sense
Sovavosi but Topaz is still at full stock and is the same lace as Brownie, so it's most likely another issue, like how Flamenco disappeared due to a lining quality control issue but returned a month later.
It could be that Topaz sales dropped as soon as Brownie appeared, and Ewa is trying to push the pricier bra first though....
With no model photos, it's always possible that it wasn't intended as being public viewable just yet, like with Dita, which is my top bet.
Aw man, I hope that isn't the case though and it is ready to be picked edge. (Maybe since there are a few orders requesting it..she'll do them [that's probably wishful thinking on my part though])
Magda should have an answer soon so just give it a day or so and we should know. :-)
Lol I just realised my phone autocorrected whatever it was it was typing to 'picked edge' (I'm supposing it should've been ordered/purchased)
folks..please review your comments before selecting add comment..
Yup MamaPagan it shouldn't be long until we know for sure 🙂
Haha! Yeah, I always cringe when I hit add/send and realize I hadn't proofread it yet. :-o Auto-correct is insane sometimes I tell you. It gets even wilder when you do a mid-sentence edit ........
Lol yes. Autocorrect can get pretty wild
Brownie can still be ordered through Magda :-D
MamaPagan yep 🙂 I spoke to her this morning about it.
Small band (almost like a 28 band) and cup depth compared to other bras in the size. So do you recommend sizing up in this bra? Ewa on her Website says rather size down if between sizes (but she probably talks about her other bras that run big compared to this one?).
She talks mainly about BM, I believe. I think you'd want to try a 70 band in EM as all my 70s run at about 79-83cm. The 65s are way way too tight and only stretch to 76cm at most.
The J/JJ/K cups are going to have a longer band than expected for their size. If your snug UB is at the max for a band size then don't size down the band (29" UB wearing a 30 band). If you're wearing the minimum size for your band (27-28" UB wearing a 30 band) size down on the band.
Yeah the general consensus with SFs seem to be to size up. There are a few people, who can wear the same size in in their BMs and SFs but I think it's best to size up maybe?
The band is pretty standard for their measurements.. it's more in line with the cm measurements than inches..so when you're checking your band size, measure in cm as opposed to the inches? There should be a +3cm stretch factor in the bra..I think, so take that into consideration also...
Okay I think brasaremean and Sovavosi has the better information on band sizes..I really didn't think about that XD so please ignore the latter part of my response lol
Thanks everyone :) I also set up my own Ewa adventure so I don't hijack this post too much.
There will always be rouge bras, both band and cup, so regardless of what is typical we have all experienced "surprises" with Ewa. I wear the same size for both SF and BM but the BM is slightly more spacious in the cup. Currently the SF is more reliable in sizing but with Ewa, this can change.
Personally, I wouldn't suggest sizing down in band or cup. It is far easier to shorten a band than make it longer, and cups with a bit of extra space is far better than too small and painful.
When Ewa cups are small, the de/compression is awfully painful, I don't know why. I'd always go for larger too.
MamaPagan Thank you. Yes I could still alter the bra if it's slightly too big. 75K is the biggest size possible from the drop down menue with out a special order so I try that one first and go from there.
From what I measured of the 60K SF and BM, the SF is about .5" to 1" shorter than the BM. This makes the cups "smaller" when they are really just not so tall.
alisa It sounds like a solid plan. Best wishes and I hope it fits perfectly. 🍀
I usually wear a 30JJ, and I found this a better fit in a 30K than my other two PLs of the same size (Black, Czerwona Panterka), but it still isn't a good fit. It is definitely tight in the band, I think due to the lace continuing onto the band - I could have perhaps used a 32 in this style, but the 30 is workable and will last longer. As with my other PLs, I thought it was slightly too large in the cup, but it is in fact too small. I've had it for a while and thought it fits, but have realised that I've ...been wearing it with the straps completely loosened because it's so tall at the underarms. The underarms/straps dig in terribly on my narrow shoulders when tightened, I can't actually tighten them to where I would need them. The cups are 1-2 sizes small, which was hidden by me wearing with the straps loosened.
It is made with a slightly stiffer material than my other two PLs, I think due to the lace overlay. I found my other two PLs to give a low apex and slightly saggy look (due to loose straps), but the stiffer material means that the construction and uplift are somewhat better in this bra. The wires are similarly narrow, but the cups are much lower under the arm than my other PLs. All in all, this is the best fit out of my PLs, mostly due to the material. But, it runs smaller than the other two, and I would likely need a 30L for it to fit properly after altering the straps/armholes.
The band has also held up well: I've owned this bra for about half a year now, and the band now stretches to about 30.5 inches, so it's still quite firm, though I haven't really worn it much due to it being too small. Read more 209 more words
I love the look of this bra. When I saw this I had to get it, mainly because it looks so much like the fashion-bras available on the high street, which is pretty unusual at these sizes. However, it definitely runs small in the cup. As with my other PLs, I thought it was slightly too large in the cup, but it is in fact too small. I've had it for a while and thought it fits, but have realised that I've been wearing it with the straps completely loosened because it's so tall at the underarms. The underarms/straps dig in terribly, even moreso if I tighten as ...needed. I also get deceptive gapping at the top of the cup/strap, which made me think the bra was too big when it wasn't. I went into this issue more on my blog review.
The cups are 1-2 sizes small, which was hidden by me wearing with the straps loosened. This means the uplift I have from it is awful. Though it's a very rounded and fairly central due to the narrow wires, the apex is somewhat low and can look a bit saggy. Oddly, I found my PL Black and PL Carmen better for uplift, despite having the same size issues, so I don't know if it's partially due to the material used.
I found the sizing similar to my PL Black, so I'll repeat the same: I usually wear a 30JJ in most bras, but I was told PLs run small and to size up, so this is a 30K. I thought it was too big, but as I said above, it's actually too small. I would likely need a 30KK/L, with alterations to the straps/armholes, for it to fit properly.
It is quite a firm 30. The wires are quite narrow, and it has four columns of three hooks-and-eyes, which are good as the bra stretches out. I've had this bra for about half a year now and it now stretches to about 31 inches, which is still firm enough for me on the second hooks. Read more 236 more words
This is my first attempt at getting the S and wow! What a bra. I think the S might work for me! This padded bra does not give me the same issues that Comexim padded bras give me (square boob shelf.) Aisha suggested I go up at least one cup size from my BM size and this is the result. It appears to fit perfectly when I first put it on. But it isn't tacking… at all. Not even a soft tack. It's close and it's hard to see that it's not tacking bc it's so deep btwn my bosoms. But I can feel it floating. As ...long as I don't move, I don't quad. As soon as I start walking, I got big mounds on top of my boobs. I already took out the pads so that's not the problem. Also this band… lord is it tight. I thought I was good until I saw the pics of my back. Thoroughly disgusting. This band is much tighter than a 65 BM band. Plus these straps are comically short - not sure what happened there but I have them all the way loose. I have emailed Aisha to let her know my issues. I guess I need to try a 65KK or maybe even a 70K.
Also of it just me or do my boobs look really low on my chest? The breasts are nice and round and awesome looking… just seem to be riding low.
Did you already try the reverse scoop? S is not particularly center-fullness friendly. I fall out if I dont pull my boobs out to the side 2-3 times a day. If you dont have enough room out to the side to fit some boob there, then yeah, you need another cup
I actually have to do a reverse scoop after I swoop & scoop. I have to kinda tuck a little tissue out towards the sides with every bra. There's no room in this bra for anything else and anything I tucked out like that came right back out of the cups dbmamaz
I have the same issues. My gore does not gap as badly as yours does-I have a sneaky gore where it looks like it tacks but actually doesn't. I love the S style but I agree with dbmamaz. It is so not center-fullness friendly but if you really want it to work I'd suggest a band up but same cup to get a little looseness in the band as well as a little more room in the cup.
Thanks. Aisha has a 70K - I think I will try it!
Really pretty , I see what you mean about tight band :( .
The BM is a four part construction, with the lower section divided in two parts, an upper stretched lace section, and a triangular section at the upper-side connecting the straps to the lower and upper section. This a full lace BM, so the lower section is also lined.
For the measurements, both the minimum cup depth was measured by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This was recorded at 12 inches. The maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 14 inches. Not stretched the band measures 22.3 inches while stretched it measures 27.2 inches. I'm ...somewhere between a 28 and 30 in UK measurements, and hooking this bra on the 3rd loosest hookset works fine for me.
I love this bra, I think it's in my top 3 favourite bras right now. It gives great lift, (probably the best out of all my EM bras), the gore lies flat, and there's little to no overspill.
Side Note: I'm all tuckered out from writing two other reviews just now (takes little to nothing to get me tired these days), so I'll probably add more details later. Read more 88 more words
This is my second attempt at a 65K SF in the Pin-Up. The measurements differ from my other 65K. The cup feels shallow compared to it's sister size 60KK (surprise, surprise). Quality is sound. I love the uplifted look. I think the SF is a better match for my pendulous tissue than the BM is honestly. Band felt good. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Now if only Ewa would be a new SF release. (Or release in general at this point!)
Haha, right?! It would be fantastic! Gimme all the SF's 🤣
As long as they aren't made like Blueberry!
Or Nibynic... that bra is so hard.
Hard? That doesn't sound good. 😬
Yes, it probably secretly made of carbon fiber ;)
The armor bra! For the renaissance bra fights we were discussing on DerangedDragons19 other review! Perfect battle bra wear. 😄
The outer materials remind me of the matte finish of Zenith so I totally imagined the feel to be velvety smooth inside and out. Glad to know that isn't the case as it lessens the temptation for me to buy a beige colored bra.
I know! It was so disappointing. I was hoping for silky like Milk Chocolate.
Original review from October 2017 when I first got the bra:
Nina is a “Sleep Top” or lounge bra. It doesn’t have wires, and does not separate the breasts. It’s mainly black with light pink accents. I ordered it in 65K because Ewa was not willing to make it in 60KK, and I figured for sleep/lounging, the looser band wouldn’t be an issue.
The band measures 23.5” to a max stretch of 31.5”. It is a front closure with 14 hooks and 1 (yes just one) row of eyes. This doesn’t add much for flexibility on ...fit.
The cups are more like hills within meadowlands with very little definition. Without wires or more defined cups, the breasts are pushed together. While there’s not much for measurements with this set up, I can tell you that the height at the center of the “cup” was 10.5” and that the wing was 6.75” with 9” at the gore or hooks.
The straps have a limited range, and the quality I found to be lacking, particularly in regards to the stitching.
As for fit, I did not find this supportive enough, but I think that has more to do with the band than it does with the lack of defined cups. My biggest issue was that the sides are too tall under the armpit, and by morning I had painful red marks in and around my armpit. This could also have been acerbated by the loose band, but overall I just don’t see me attempting to wear a second time without shortening the band and lowering the wing.
Update June 2018: I had attempted to modify this bra several months ago by taking in the back to make it more like a 28. After this alteration the band measured 22.4” and stretched to 30.5” max. I also lowered the armpit area so the wing was 6” afterwards. This was still not an ideal fit and less than comfortable, so I never wore it. It also didn’t work well with my Isavela sternum bras, which I prefer to wear at night to help combat those chest wrinkles caused by age and side sleeping.
Update; Nov 2018 I have pulled this one back out of storage and do now wear it on occasion. It isn't terrible and is a nice break from my other night tops. I added new photos for current fit. Read more 302 more words
I am adding this in for data/ informational purposes only. I do not own this braat this time.
SF Pin Up is classified as a Semi Soft bra (aka Semi Padded), though it has no padding what so ever. The logic is that the material is stiffer, and thus EM considers this padded, which it clearly is not. If you are looking for a padded bra, this is not for you. If you are looking for a supportive bra, then this one is perfect for you. Aside from the misleading description of the SF bras on EM’s website, this bra is quite nice. The pattern ...in blue with white micro dots and red bow accents.
Now for the specifics:
The band measures 23.75” to a max of 33.5". There are 3 hooks and 4 rows of eyes, which has been standard on every EM bra I’ve gotten so far.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.5"
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.5"
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The wires actually overlap for the top half of the center gore, which is a bit odd. The sewing on this area looks odd prior to putting it on, though it doesn’t look or feel askew while on. There are 4 parts to the cup, three vertical, with one horizontal lace section on top.
Update 11/25/18: I pulled this one out of storage to try the fit again. I am at hi tide, about the fullest point of the month for me, so I opted to add new photos to compare. My breasts have grown a bit since I first got this one, but hi tide makes it even worse. Can't get my boobs in the bottom of the cup (only could at low tide when it fit anyway) and a lot of quadding on top of the cup. :-/ Back into storage for this one.
It's such a beautiful color though!
Add any &/or all photos you have-each and every one is helpful to someone, as we all have different aspects that we look for regarding bra details and fit. In my opinion, there's never too many photos! :-)
