I’ve seen this bra on bra blogs in the past and always loved the print and design but, never actually thought I would own it because it was old news by the time I saw it.
This is definitely a granny floral though I love the colours. I like that it is not like the sexy boudoir stuff that they’ve been doing lately. I love the peach satin strip lining the cup edge and straps.
As for the fit…I had initially liked the S cut but when I was in between the 65FF and 65G I was concerned about the immediate depth and the very aggressive uplift. I ...avoided the S until I saw this one listed. This one is better. I think it’s maybe a bit deeper and my weight loss perhaps makes it fit better.
I do wish it had a set of cookies as I feel like it is borderline big for me now. I was down about 10 pounds when I got it initially, and about 15 pounds now. I feel like I could use the little boost. The band is fairly stretchy or stretched out. I can definitely get it done up a set of hooks in.
I do like this bra though. Read more 100 more words
The floral pattern has a very vintage look to it - it's very pretty.
Thanks carrythedollhouse . Agreed with the vintage which is probably why I like it so much.
I adore that updated vintage look! So pretty!
Thank you confused ! I have a matching pair of high waisted bottoms but they’re too large for me. The previous owner cinched the waist in some so they fit but, it’s not a full alteration so the proportions are still a bit off (I knew that they had done a quickie job on the bottoms so I was ok with that).
This is my third BM, and second 70F, although I swapped the other 70F with another user so I don’t have it anymore. So now I have this one and my 65FF BM Cabernet. Both are full lace styles with knitwear bands, and the construction is basically the same. Lower 2 part cup with firmer mesh under the lace and the upper cup is stretchy. Aesthetics are slightly different with the bows and gore details.
This bra has a beautiful bright blue lace with beige mesh lining - I’m getting a pretty good skin tone ...match with it. The blue is hard to capture because it changes with the lighting, becoming brighter in some lighting and more of a cornflower blue in others. My pictures show a range of colours due to different lighting. It’s just your standard bows for the gore and straps. I personally have no problem with the gore bow, but I do feel that they are a bit big on the straps and would like to remove them. I prefer the loop bows that the Cabernet has, or even the smaller ones that are on the Sekret.
I find the fit of this bra is actually better than my Cabernet. The band is perfect. It’s not too snug or too loose - it is very comfortable. Obviously a bit smaller than a tts 32, but good for me. I marked it 29” but it could possibly have gone a little more - I’m just slightly more conservative with the stretched band measurements. My snug under bust measurements are 28-28.5” but I am definitely more comfortable with bands that stretch 29-30”. The wire width of this one is just perfect for my average to narrow roots.
I’m not getting any wrinkles at the wires like I do with the Cabernet. Immediate projection is fantastic. I’m not sure if it’s a size thing or if the Cabernet was really just a little bit wider and shallower than most. I do technically measure a 70F with the Ewa website calculator, but I don’t think wearing 65FFs would be a significant difference in the fit.
The cups seem like they are a little bit more rounded than the Cabernet, and I think it’s maybe the lace - I think it’s maybe a touch thicker - because they both measured about the same depth. If this is how other 70Fs fit, I’m getting more, though I do want to try another 65FF to see if I have the same thing as I have with the Cabernet fit or if it’s closer to this one.
I’m really happy that I swapped one of my bras for this one. I’m really so in love with this bra. It’s become a favourite one. Read more 364 more words
I just love the blue roses! Gorgeous! Congrats on finding a great fit AND a beautiful bra :)
This bra is so beautiful on your pics! I think the Cabernet is not the best BM to start with, the fit may be misleading because the lace si very soft and makes the cups seem like they're too big. I think this size fits you great and if the band feels ok, you can settle for the 70f.
Soooo beautiful!
So glad that it fits you so well. It looks really good on you.
Glad you found a BM that you like and that fits you great. It looks fantastic on you. I find that my La Gloria does that colour-changing trick too. So beautiful!
Thanks for the information vesela_krava! I had wondered about it.
I wore my Cabernet today and it is pretty but it doesn’t feel like this one. This one feels more supportive and better shape. I definitely think it’s the lace now.
Oh my gosh Calluna I'm just seeing your review, this is really beautiful!! What a wonderful fit!
I found this bra in the listings, and although it had an (!) by it because it had been up for a long time without an update, I did actually hear back form the seller, although not right away. It was in my price range, within Canada, and one that I’d really wanted to try. Having a better feel for my measurements, I took a gamble to message the seller even though it was an old listing. To be honest, I was totally surprised that I even had a reply. She replied around the holidays and we set up a swap, ...and although there were a few hiccups, the bra arrived and I rejoiced! It’s so beautiful, and I had been really wanting to try a half lace BM after learning that they fit a little bit smaller then the full lace ones for whatever reason. Feeling like maybe my Cabernet was a half size too big made me suuuuper curious about the half lace BM fit.
This bra is a gorgeous shimmering champagne or pearl colour (hence the name), which is not exactly the colour that I would normally gravitate towards, but I needed a lighter neutral (non white) bra, especially as my 30E Curvy Kate Ellace in latte was too small and I hadn’t gotten a larger size in it. (This is actually the bra that I swapped for, with a few tea samples as well). It’s a surprisingly hard colour to match for underwear that isn’t especially made to match from Ewa. The pearl detail at the gore are beautiful as well. This bra sorta straddles granny with sophisticated glamour...it’s definitely not what I would consider fun. But it’s still utterly gorgeous. And I think that I pull off the colour pretty well on my fairly pale skin. The lower cup material is super soft and smooth. It’s also very lightweight. As mentioned, this is a half lace BM, so it’s not reinforced with the tulle inside, but it does have the stretch lace on top. To me, I think that the lace is somewhat more substantial than the lace of my Cabernet.
When I first got it, I messaged my bra fitting friend about it and the fit and she had asked me if it had more room at the wire, because I get wrinkles at the wire with my Cabernet and I said “yes, I think so” and sent off pictures. She replied back that “yes, it looks like it has more immediate projection but not as much lift” (but did say that it looked like a good fit)...I immediately felt defensive and was like “this bra fits me perfectly...it’s rounded and lifted and roomier at the wire and way better than the Cabernet” but maybe more in sentiment and not in the same words. A little bit later as I evaluated the fit and did comparisons with the Cabernet, I realized that she was right, with her infinite bra wisdom, and I apologized.
The measurements of the bra are nearly identical to the Cabernet, yet I feel like I have a whole different fit. Somehow it is magical. I think that it was brasaremean that said that because it is not lined, the cups have a little bit of droop, and I think that is precisely why it’s more rounded on me than the full lace. I’m allowed to extend down a bit more as well as out, which allows, me to round out some. Given my medium bust range, I’m not too heavy, so I don’t see it as a problem for me, but can see it as a problem for busts that are heavier than mine. A little bit about the band...it is a 70, yet definitely does not even stretch to 30” but as it’s not lace lined, it might stretch out faster.
My breasts seem to currently be average to taller roots, but deflated and shallow, thus making them functionally short, and on the narrow side. Fullness has increased with my growth from last fall, and while I am still center full and full on bottom, I have gained a little bit more upper fullness so that I am a little bit more even than I once was. My tissue is soft and malleable, which can make them a bit deceptive and tricksy at times, as well as pendulous. I need narrow-ish wires, immediate depth and center depth, but less apex depth because the deeper the apex, the less upper tissue I have to fill out the upper portion of the cups. I feel like I am contained in the bra and appreciate the lower gore and soft, stretchy materials. It’s a very comfortable and seems to work with my characteristics and shape.
After trying this one on, I feel like I have to own a few more of th half lace BMs, however I’m still going to try more of the full lace ones to see if my Cabernet is the rogue outlier or not. Read more 738 more words
For the record, the Fuksja does not droop at all compared to my other half lace BMs, not sure why :/. Maybe the tighter band, or slightly smaller cups, but either way, I'm not seeing that issue with my behemoths.
BTW I just checked out the photos and it does look to fit a lot more differently than Cabernet. I do find also I get more rounded look from these bras and to be honest, despite the droop, I find them to be the most comfy as well.
I love my Bezowa perla.. it's very comfy (it's also the best fitting bra I currently own despite the lack of lift)
Maybe because the Fuksja has the reinforced seams with the contrast ribbon?
Thanks for the reply. I’m hoping that maybe it’s just a rogue fit for the Cabernet. Wilderness1 has a similar shape and size to me and the full lace 65FF she just tried was much rounder with less wrinkles than my Cabernet.
This looks gorgeous on you! What a great fit!
Thank you, Sonya! I kinda feel a little princessy in it.
Looks great on you!
Yep it looks good ;)
Calluna do you think the 65 band in your cabernet is too tight (thereby making the lower cup too "shallow" and creating wrinkles)?
I loved my Perla too!!
Wilderness1 I have thought about this before, but both bras seem to have the same stretched measurements, and when I add a row or two more hooks from my extender to the Cabernet, it doesn’t change anything except for feeling loose(r).
This is super gorgeous! So happy you found a great fit.
Love it! I adore half lace BMs BECAUSE they're soooo 50s housewife. I think that's what is so hot about them. I have a pair of the highwaist panties in size 38(M) to match this bra if you'd like to buy them. They're NWT and much more lovely in person than in photos;)

Thanks for the offer but I pretty much have no waist because I am so short and high waist items come up to my rib cage. Which are super annoying. But I appreciate you thinking of me.
It's such a pretty bra! It looks so retro :)
Thanks MissKarma. It’s very beautiful. AprilGoulding do you think that the high waisted panties can be altered to be not high waist?
Well...not easily. They arent really that high..I'll put them on for you later and send you an imgur link.
AprilGoulding I would be curious about the fit as well. I think we have similar body types (super slim hips) and I am interested, but wary, about the high-waisted panties. I am not sure I have enough curve to pull them off
Callunarachaelll They're super cute. I'm thinking of getting a pair in my size. These are a 38 and they're not at all huge (I find size 36 briefs huge). For reference, my hips are 33" and there's no stretch taken up by me in these.
AprilGoulding these are super cute on you! The lace sides make the look work. My hips are 34" and my waist is 25", so I'm a little larger than you. Do you think a 36 would work on me?
rachaelll yup! I think theyll be perfect. I'm going to order 36 too - in red (if Kaska will do my bra with nude lining ;)
AprilGoulding They would be so cute in red. And black.
Hmmm. Interesting. I honestly don’t know if I can pull the high waist briefs off with my shape. Have a look at my Cabernet pics... I have a few pictures of me in coordinating/semi matching underwear from La Senza and it’s clear to see my mid-section tummy pooch and short waist. I think that the ones you have would swallow me up too much.
I wore this again today and was reminded how strange it is that it fits so much like my 65FF Cabernet, except more rounded, and yet it’s a sister size up. The band feels identical in snugness. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s a 3 column vs 4 column clasp. Maybe I ought to close the Cabernet on the 3rd of the 4 hooks and compare. But ultimately, it’s not really worth trying to understand, I think, so long as they both fit, right? Just be thankful that they fit. Lol.
Also, I tried to measure my hips and waist but I don’t know if I measured in the right spots. If I did, my hips were close to 36”, and my waist, being a bit tricky to define, was somewhere in the 25-30” range so I dunno. I have no clue size in Ewas bottoms I would need and no clue if AprilGoulding ‘S 38 high waisted ones would fit.
Calluna you can stop thinking about my panties lol. I had them remade into tiny tangas :P But for future reference - if you wear a large La Senza panty, you need a 38 in Ewa.
I wear small or medium in La Senza but more often than not take the medium in case of shrinking in the wash.
I wear small or medium in La Senza but more often than not take the medium in case of shrinking in the wash.
Calluna I don't find the subtle shape difference too strange--I have a few bras in sister sizes and it frequently makes a little bit of a difference in shape. With some bras, if the cup is molded or does not have a defined apex of its own, the tighter band will make me seem less projected and/or rounder. But here, I think the seams are specially conceived to allow a rounded shape--so what happens is that the 65 being tighter, it stretches everything east-west just a tiny bit more such that the base of the cup is pulled snug and does not allow the breast to settle all the way down in there. Whereas in the 70 band, the boob can settle in there comfortably and round out the bottom half of the cup just as the seaming was designed to allow.
It might have to do with that, but it’s more likely because it’s not reinforced with the tulle lining, so it offers a more relaxed lower cup. But wire width and band measurements are nearly identical, so they should, theoretically, act the same on me, despite being two different sizes.
oh, I thought one band was smaller! Well, who knows then... yes tulle lining maybe!
Both stretched to 29”. The length of Cabernet is 22” and Bibi Bezowa Perla is 22.3”. So nearly the same.
I've gotten round shapes in tulle lined cups. I think moreso it has to do with seam placement, but also the width of the wires.
That's interesting about band stretching to 29 inches, as nearly all of my 70 bands (in FF and G, except for the Fluo in 70G) stretched to 80-83cm. Perhaps yours is an older one from way back when they made the bands tighter? I think my Fluo might be. My 70FF Fluo has a band that also stretches to 80cm and it was made for me when I ordered it. The 70G was made already and one of the last Fluos on site.
brasaremean, interesting that you have a round shape in some tulle lined BMs. I’m thinking that you might be right about the age of the bra. It was in the listings for a few years actually, but I still (after a bit of deliberation) sent the message about it, asking if it was still available. So yes, it’s conceivable that it’s one of the old ones that just had a really tight band. It was in pristine condition when I got it, which suggests it was a brand new one.
Yes Kleks and Rubin in 65GG give me a very round shape right now.
So my thinking is yours is a --lets call it a tight 30 band, and in my experience the cups when sister sizing up or down also don't exactly match so between a F and FF (my 70G cups are about half a cup larger than my 65GG cups). which is about what you came to with the Cabernet as well yeah? That you don't need a cup size down from FF but only slightly less to feel more supported?
But I’m the opposite. My 65FF Cabernet is the one that feels like a half size larger than the 70F Bibi Bezowa. As in, the 70F is the one that feels like it’s a little smaller.
Yes I was just saying sister sizing is inconsistent to the point where the sister size could run half a size up or down.
Right. It’s just odd that they both measure almost the same in every category, to the point that I wonder if they mislabeled the 70F because it matches up so closely.
I got this and the BM Fluo as a part exchange for my SM Tattoo, and after that fiasco I was a little nervous to try another SM. But given how my kusidelko fit prior to losing sizes in 2016, and it was all mesh like this one instead of the embroidered lace of Tattoo, I decided to give it a go again cause the girly pink appeal of Roza is irresistible.
I tried on jlc’s 65F Roza prior to ordering this & surprisingly found it too tight in both the band and cup. Ewas bands are killing me lately, with such inconsistency I’ve decided to go with ...70s in all future orders from her even though I should in no way *need* a 70 band - I can handle loose better than too tight. At the last minute I changed this order to a 70F... and this is what I got. This band is loose (go figure) and the cups are about 1/2 cup too big, especially on my smaller side and even more so when I’m not PMS-ing. I’m starting to think it was the too tight band on the 65 making the cups feel too small. I ordered a 70E in the Ja Wiem during the BF sale, so I guess I’ll find out.
I’m happy to report the shape is not pointy though, it’s the rounded and somewhat minimized SM shape I remembered. This bra is a workhorse under my scrubs and when I’m PMS-ing. The wires are a bit wide in this size but otherwise I don’t have much complaints. It is comfortable & the lace & satin trim speaks to my inner girly girl. Read more 174 more words
How did the BM Fluo fit? I would love to try one and think we are around the same size.
This pink looks spectacular on you!
rachaelll Fluo fits much better. I got a 65F - the band only stretches to 27” so I need an extender but the cups are good. I’ll write more about it and it’s comparison to SM, as well as the BM Mojito I had that was enormous on me, when I review it.
lcl0706 Thanks! It's so hard to find information about the BM cut in smaller sizes. I really appreciate all the detailed fit notes. If you are ever looking to swap either BM - I would be very interested to try them.
rachaelll I just ordered a BM Fluo in 65FF...let's see if it fits me. Otherwise, I might be able to offer it to you ;)
AprilGoulding Fluo runs very tight in the band. Just a heads up.
brasaremean Thanks!! I'm curious to see and about to find out...my Curvy Kate 65's are too loose already and my custom from Ellesmere is a 60. Measuring tape reads underbust at 30", but I tend to like 'em snug (Masochist? LOL)
I like them snug too! My 70 feels closer to a 65 than 70 and on days I need to feel more 'secure' it's my go-to!
I used to want everything snug. When I first found bras that fit I went for 28s. With a snug UB of 27-28, I could easily do most 28s & all 30s. Plus I also wore a 28G or 30FF.
Now I can't stand them tight. I shrank a lot in 2016 down to a 30E and now I'm a 30F and idk if I'm just more sensitive or whatever, but I cannot stand tight bands. I prefer bands to stretch to 29-30.5 and with Ewa I just don't get that consistently in her 65s and I'm tired of putting extenders on everything.
Lol, me too lcl0706 I used to have a snug measure of 26", but now even though my rib seams to have shrunk a bit and my bust has grown a cup or two, I now prefer a 27" snug.
And that's why we have 3 underbust measurements we typically take AprilGoulding one that is so tight we call it "break the measure tape tight," where we exhale all breath and pull the measure tape as tight as it will go, then the snug measure where you pull the tape as snug as you would like your bra, and then the loose measure, which is essentially just wrapping it around you ribcage just firm enough to keep it from falling. I can get a good 29" maybe 30" inches doing the measure tape loosely, but I definitely prefer it around 27". I also found that I was taking my rib measurement incorrectly for a very long time, I never could get it parallel around my torso, it would always be too low or too high in the back resulting in a too large measurement. If I recall correctly you got measured by the lovely owner of Ellesmere right? She probably got a snug measurement of around 26" since you're wearing a 60 (or her bands a super stretchy). Most women with a larger bust enjoy a smaller band anyhow!
( Pictures taken without cookies). This is my first try with the M cut, and so far I love it! The lace on this bra is a pretty chocolate brown colour, and there are small bows with tiny polka dots on the gore and straps. The bows do a nice job of blending the colour of the straps with the cups. The insides are soft black cotton and there are cookie pockets for asymmetry.
My shape is full on the bottom, slightly pendulous, narrow and short rooted, and a bit soft. I have been wearing 30FF in lined/padded cups, and I find this one just about perfect in terms of ...projection (depth) at the wire. It's actually deeper than other padded bras I've tried, and it made me realize that I do need the same amount of depth in padded bras as I do in unpadded/unlined (my unlined all have to have 9.7-10" depth to get a good fit). I also have some center fullness, which this bra allows for thanks to the low gore. The gore does tack on this bra also. Additionally, I find the cut of this bra lovely, as I have short roots that are usually too short for most padded bras, or my breasts get swallowed up by the bra itself. This bra shows quite a lot of boob, but I never felt like I was falling out or unsupported. The cut of this bra reminds me of my Anna Pardal Sophisticated Balconette.
The shape it gives under a shirt is fairly round, but not quite as much as the CHP. I haven't tried the S cut, but I would hazzard a guess this M cut lies somewhere between the S and CHP in terms of roundness (some of this 'less than beachball roundness' could be due to my particular shape also).
The cup is wider than I typically like, though not by much, and I don't think it affects the fit too much. I like that the wires are straighter on the side than my Cleo bras (more vertical at the ends under my armpits), as Cleo's wires seem to have more of a 'swoosh' on the sides than I need. The only bit of discomfort that I noticed is that the straps did cut in slightly to my tail of spence during the day, but I'm hoping this softens up wtih wear. I think that if the cups were actually the right width for me at 5.1-5.3", I wouldn't get that chaffing.
When I took the bra off, the wire marks were right in my IMF except on my smaller side, and I think this is because I had inserted one cookie on that side to fix some asymmetry that I have. I noticed that the marks were a bit below my IMF on that side... So I guess it's a toss up between having a very very slight gap at the top and maintain better technical fit, or wear the cookie and push it down a bit? Either way, I have a good feeling about this bra! Read more 406 more words
I have mine in S 70E, havent worn it yet, but when ive tried it, it felt like my 70E - Ewa Michalak » S Letnia Noc (733) , so hopefully it will be my next holy grail *_*
Gorgeous. The dots on the bows are adorable. I'm a recent M cut convert as well. Now I need this bra!
I always disregarded the M cut because the EM site said it was unpadded... but when I clicked on the specific link and saw that it said they were padded with asymmetry pads, I figured I'd give it a go. I really like this cut and am glad I ordered it.
Yes her site is misleading!!
You look fantastic! Thrilled to learn about the immediate and center projection, too.
I'm re-reviewing this bra because, after revisiting the straps on a whim, I've finally figured them out. I hope I can demystify this bra for anyone else who comes to its bratabase entry hoping for some clarification.
I really wish Ewa would have released this with some form of instruction. A video of how they assembled the looks in the promo pics or a series of pictures or just some text instructions sent with the bra or anything at all. The design was clearly very thought-out from all the little features that allow you to do the different strap looks. But she didn't explain them at all, just... here ...you go, figure it out yourself, and you have to reverse-engineer her design thoughts from looking at the final product.
The basic strap attachments are: 2 small rings on the back band, a loop on the gore which is looped around the buttons when not in use, and on the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps are wide and padded, which is quite nice when you're wearing it as a regular bra, and they have a piece of the same material as the detachable straps sewn on, tacked down at several heights so you can hook on the straps at several positions.
There are 5 straps, each different lengths. The longest one is adjustable. I really wish she had included doubles of the shorter ones because it would make doing the star a lot simpler. Another problem is that with the shorter straps being fixed lengths, they won't fit everyone. For me, they are too long, so I have to wrap them around the shoulder straps and then hook it.
The long adjustable strap is meant to go from back ring to gore loop to back ring, making a V. This is the basis of the layered strappy look and the inverted star. For the layered straps, after making the V you attach the other straps from shoulder, through loop, to other shoulder, one below the other. Pretty simple. The star is more complicated, I've done my best to explain, and taken pictures for reference. I start with the bra on, with the shoulder straps off, and pull the shoulder straps on after step 1.
1. Hook the longest strap (the adjustable one) onto one of the rings on the back band next to the hook tape. Take the other side of the strap around the front and feed it through the loop attached to the gore. Hook it to the other ring on the back band. Adjust it so it is taut. So this strap should be going from back to gore to back, creating the "V" that will be the point of the star.
2. Take the shortest strap and put it horizontally, low near the cups, only leaving room for the diagonal straps to attach below it. You may have to wrap the ends of the straps around the bra strap and then hook it if the strap is too long.
3. With the 2 medium straps, attach them below where you put the short strap horizontally. Then go diagonally across and hook it on *the strap that you formed the V with*--NOT to the bra strap! Get it hooked and then push the hook back along the long strap as far as you can--this will pull it around your neck creating the choker-like look.
I wore it out with the straps in a star and I was surprised to find it never unhooked. Occasionally I had to push the diagonal straps back, but there were no dramatic strap-popping moments like I anticipated.
Overall, I really like this bra. It's extremely versatile as it's both an everyday black bra and... whatever else you want it to be. And I'm glad to have something in my lingerie collection that fits authentically into an alternative wardrobe and isn't an overly feminized or cheapened version of goth. Being of a less feminine gender expression, it's cool to have something that feels like it fits my self-image but is still detailed and sexy.
This got longer than I expected but I am really glad I revisited this bra. I just wish Ewa would have told us how to use it so it didn't take a year for me to start appreciating it! Read more 609 more words
thanks dbmamaz ! I didn't think to wrap it around the strap.
I haven't worn this bra with the extra straps since I got it a year ago. I'm interested to try this pentagram. Where are the step-by-step pictures of how to do it?
I haven't worn this bra with the extra straps since I got it a year ago. I'm interested to try this pentagram. Where are the step-by-step pictures of how to do it?
I use the longest strap and the shortest strap. Pull the longest strap through the loop at the core so that it is about equal length on both sides. Then, pull each side through one of the loops towards the top of each shoulder strap so it forms a v-shape. Then, cross the straps in the front and hook the straps to one of the lower loops on the shoulder straps. You may have to shorten the strap by using the sliding adjuster. Use the shorter strap to create the bottom part of the pentagram by attaching it straight across your chest and attach each end to one of the lower loops. You may have to wrap each end around the shoulder strap a few times before attaching the hook, especially if you are narrow from shoulder to shoulder. I hope this helps. If not, let me know and I'll try to send step by step pics.
This was my first Ewa Michalak that I purchased from SFYS.com in Toronto a couple months back. : ) I never wrote a review of this bra, but I'm writing one now so people can learn from my mistake. In my haste, I quickly took the tags off and washed the bra, thinking that it fit after just a quick try on. The next day, I realized that I needed one cup larger - it was okay on my smaller side, but on my left side, it was giving an "unhappy boob" profile. Like, I was fitting into the cup on my larger side, but I ...was kind of angled down. Instead of being supported and uplifted, it looked like I was just squishing myself into the cup on that side. Also, I was stressing the fabric to the max!
Soooo, learn from my mistake, people! For those newbs to ABTF: carefully evaluate. Scoop & swoop. Don't get so caught up in the excitement of getting the bra that you want in the mail that you overlook things.
I think you can notice in this picture some internal quadboob (if that even is a phrase...) https://www.bratabase.com/picture/dpust/ When I went up one cup size, I no longer had that problem and the cups fit much better : ) Read more 113 more words
Too bad I did the same thing with the same damn bra LOL! In cup quadding as I call it and totally didn’t assess fit properly before taking tags off. I have learned my lesson too!
margesimpson, I know...live and learn, right?! Well, at least we know our sizes now...
Oh man I feel this in my soul lol. Same thing happened to me when I purchased the BM Wenecja and BM Nugatowy in 65GG. Was all “Yay” then “whhhhyyyyyyy”. Tho I’m glad I held onto them since they got me through the Covid lockdown weight gain lolz. But now that I’m back in all my 65G’s I’m glaring at them and just see $$ signs and think about two other bras that could be sitting in my collection instead of them.
Happy2BraShop , I actually can get away with wearing it, although one size too small in the cup, it's also one size too large in the band. I was wearing it yesterday! although it's more of like a "Saturday bra" as it just doesn't offer the same support as having the correct band size. I heart the colours of this bra so much. Although I *kind of* see why some people size up in the band in Ewa.
Happy2BraShop , I guess I can see how - if you have been wearing Ewa Michalak BM for years, you would want to branch out and try other styles of EM. But for me, I'm just so happy that I found a bra that works for me (both Polish brands EM and Comexim) that I don't want to risk trying new styles in EM, at this point. But I get where you're coming from...
I kept mine too because I just found out the size up doesn’t fit :( ah well, it fits other than the in cup quadding...
Sooo, as I was wandering around the store (Forever Yours in Langley, BC) pulling Ewas and a few other bras, the fitter helping me brought this one out to me to see if I was interested in trying it because they were just unpacking them. It’s actually still not even on their website yet!
I said yes, because I had wanted to try an SF while I was there. Not to mention, I love navy bras. And it echoed the Kleks with the little dangling sparkles. I was also curious to see how the stretch tulle upper was compared with the stretch lace. Frankly, it’s a really ...stunning bra! When I put it on, the fitter’s eyes just lit up!
I have to say, as this was the first SF I tried (the fruit bra was after this), I was very impressed! I got a great shape from the stiffened lower cup. The stretch tulle was smooth across the top of the cups. I thought the straps felt a bit wide, but I put my Wersal on over top of it and it didn’t seem to be any wider. This bra is an all lace band, and I can confirm that it was a snug fit. I feel like I had enough immediate depth, and I generally feel like I had a great fit. This was the second bra that I put on the love hook. In fact, I decided against this one in favour of the Bibi Black. I had a super difficult time deciding. Do I still want it? You betcha!
Interesting tidbit. So I was looking up the name on the label and it said Zmierzch (which is why I began to take pictures of the store’s tag). In a chat on IG, the unusualness of the name came up. I know that often the Polish names translate into something that makes sense or is relevant to the bra’s aesthetics. So I looked it up. The first hits I got were a summary for Twilight. So I thought, “no wonder it sparkles!”
Only here it’s listed as Blueberry which I happened to find as I narrowed my search down to SF styles. So that’s kind of confusing.
I see why you had a hard time deciding about this bra. It's so beautiful! I really like the asethetics fo this one. I've been super curious about SF too, so it's great to see that you get a nice shape out of this cut. Interesting to see it on you.
Interesting, it doesn't look like it runs small on you. I wonder if she fixed that.
EAAAGGGH I'm devastated for you that you didn't buy it lol! I may have a problem with dark blue/black color combinations... so beautiful!
I had a hard time with deciding. I’m possibly going to get it with the Black Friday sale, depending on how much it ends up being. It’s not too small, but it fit more like a 65 than 70 due to the lace band.
This is my third M bra, but my first in size 70F. I have the M XOXO in 65FF and Magique in 65F. While the M cut has a reputation for having unreasonably firm bands, I have to admit that I prefer the fit of the 65FF. The band on this bra is comfortable on the second last hook. I hope that the power mesh is firm enough to minimize stretching. I am happy that the M Carmen and Perlowy I ordered from MagdaBras4you are 65FFs.
The fit of this bra is very similar to the 65FF XOXO. It has a good amount of immediate ...projection, narrow wires (not as narrow as the CHP, but about the same as a BM in the same size) and a good amount of depth, particularly at the apex. The straps are comfortable and I do not find them to be as wide as the CHP or BM in the same size range. While the cups are very low, I don't find the amount of cleavage to be obnoxious. It feels less in your face than the CHP. The bra is supremely comfortable, I can wear it all day and forget that it's on. This is hands-down my best fit in EM styles, and I highly recommend it to others in my size range.
Finally, let's talk appearance. The style of this bra is simply breathtaking. I love the combination of the dark forest green, navy, and hot pink. It feels very mermaidy without being over the top. The navy eyelash lace on the cups is simply perfection. This bra is both sophisticated and girly. I could live without the giant hot pink bow on the gore, but admit that the tiny bows on the straps are growing on me. I love the uniqueness of this bra - it might be the prettiest one I own. Pretty sure I've owned S Syrena in 2 (soon to be 3 🤣) different sizes, and I always felt that the band ran a little on the larger side. I really love the bra myself. You look fabulous.
DerangedDragons19 Are you me? I have two failed fitting ones and a new PL Syrena on order 😅
DerangedDragons19 Sovavosi It really is so beautiful! But the band is big. I may attempt an alteration. Fingers crossed that your new Syrenas are perfect
I've always loved the look of this bra. Too bad the band is a tad big on you, but glad you love the bra.
rachaelll that alteration is easy for a seamstress. I had many done. Take it to a Stitch It or a drycleaners and ask them to do it for you. They remove the hook and eye pieces, cut off a small piece of band (I used to get 1/2" off each side) and then put the hook and eye pieces back.
Its beautiful on you, btw. I'm sure you know that I agree with you on that center bow. The big one from my new Grace is already in an envelope lol
Sovavosi 🤣🤣 my other two fit though! I think I had a 34JJ and then a 30JJ? Maybe a 32K? Shoot, I don't remember. I'll see if I can dig for photos and link them to you via imgur via your messages buahhaha
@rachaelll too bad about the band :( easy alterations though! I love, love, LOVE that bow hahahh
It looks fantastic on you!
I must agree it looks great on you, and that the bow is over done! Too much of an eye grabber.
I have to wonder if she makes that bow bigger depending on the size...
Nope! Same size. I was just about to message you Sovavosi 🤣
So beautiful! I want one sooo bad. You have all the bras that I want. Lol.
I actually am ok with the giant bows, except I’ve got you beat! My PL Carmen has a huge bow. I’m not sure if it’s a matter of the bow didn’t get trimmed when it was made or what. I thought about cutting it down before but thought that it doesn’t really bother me much (and if it does, I tuck the tails under the gore) and that if I sell it, I will let the new owner decide if they want it long or not.
This bra is lovely. I wasn't into it at first and I didn't get it when Ewa had it, but then it sort of grew on me and I was sad I had missed it. I ended up finding it in one of my wearable sizes at Brava. Thankfully, they ship to the US and I picked it up along with the matching bottoms in a size 36.
It came and I squealed when I opened the package, it is so pretty! It also inexplicably smells like Anthropologie. I can't describe the smell, but if you've ever been in an Anthropologie store, or had them ship you clothing from a ...retail location, you know the smell. Like their Volcano candle mixed with smoke. I don't know, but I love the smell so this isn't a bad thing to me!
It does measure out to be a 70F in depth, but it fits me like a 65F. The band is tighter than a 70, and measures 30" stretched. Depth is what it should be but I find the materials to be less stretchy than other BMs, so the measured unworn depth is what my 65F/70Es measure when they are on my body and the Sofia doesn't really stretch much when I put it on. Because it's firmer, the shape it gives is a little rounder than some other BMs and it looks quite nice I think. The one concern I have about this is I bought this set to wear as a period set, as the crotch of the bottoms is black and I needed another BM in my larger size for hard and tender breasts. Since there's not much give in the cups I don't know if it'll work, it may be too firm for my comfort that time of the month but I'll have to wait to try.
The cups are a little high on me, but I'm functionally FoB with shallow upper root tissue so this isn't an unusual occurrence for me, there's just a single small wrinkle in the upper lace and it's not terribly noticeable without a top and not noticeable at all when dressed.
The lace is super pretty and I love the little polka dots in the pattern, they're a cute and playful touch on an otherwise sexier set. I also adore the back of the briefs, the lace on top of tulle is my favorite style second only to the double layer of tulle. What the underwear looks like will often determine if I buy a set or not and I love these ones. They only had a 36, with 38" hips I can sometimes make the 36 size work, usually if they are jersey knit, the mesh is a little snug just like the bra and I would prefer a 38. But, they don't look bad and they are comfortable so I'm content. Read more 368 more words
Jealous! Brava had one in 70G but by the time I made up my mind, it sold :(
Soooooo pretty!!!
What a gorgeous set! I love the detailing. It's a shame it doesn't have much stretch
The lack of stretch might change my use of the set, but the shape is great because of it so I'm not *too* sad about it :)
I just wanted to be sure to note it in case it comes back up for sale, I know there are many people that wear bras that wouldn't be able to work with such firm cups in this cut.
Thanks so much for your review. I’m more interested in this set now than I was before. I think I might have to keep my eyes open for it if it pops up somewhere. Looks perfect for me.
This is a pretty set :) I was wondering if the wires on this bra is still super stiff? I remembered when I tried 65E BM it was insanely hard wires, but I got my friend some 75FF's and they were only moderately hard.
Noob They are hard, but not anywhere near as hard as the 65E Miętusek that I think we both tried.
Oh my. I just looked up Miętusek. That's a gorgeous one. Swoon. Love green.
So delicate, luminous, and beautiful! The details are subtle and understated: color matched lace trim along the cups and a 1/8" circular rhinestone gem dangles just below the color matched bow at the gore. This is a suitable nude for my very pale skin. The seams do show under thin knits, but they are beautiful to behold--like sun rays. Under a slightly heavier knit shirt, the seams were invisible. This CHP has cookie pockets that "load" from the inside which prevents the pocket seams from irritating breast tissue. But, inserting the cookies requires more effort. If I had not recently purchased a 70FF CHP, I would think this was too large. But, I need the immediate projection in the 70FF to avoid smooshing my tissue into the wires. Thankfully, now I know how to avoid that unpleasant sensation. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> And, I understand why cookies yield no results for me: they simply fill the empty space in the bottom of the cup that I can't fit into.
This is the second bra that I tried on when I was at Forever Yours in Langley, BC where I was visiting friends who live there. It’s one of the newer ones and I already knew that I would love the colour.
Oh, that colour! It’s a rich teal with black lining and a lighter bow at the center gore, and thankfully none on the straps. I’m a little ambivalent about the giant bows, but it’s partly why I ruled this one out from my shirt listed 4 bras. In retrospect, it’s not too bad. It’s still a wishlisted item.
It’s a full lace band, so even a ...70 felt snug, but doable. The rest fit pretty well, as my 70F Wersal does. It fit better than the Apricot of the same size.
Not a whole lot else to say - it’s a pretty standard BM. It’s pretty true to size (Ewa size). The lace was denser than the Cabernet and closer to the Wersal, but obviously newer and not so relaxed.
I did try a thong in small to match. Over my underwear, I think it’s the right size, and gave me the impression that I would be comfortable in it because it was mesh. Read more 98 more words
Man this is so pretty. I'm trying to stay away from the BM right now, as I think my tissue has softened (the seam combined with stretch lace now gives me some in-cup quadding as BMs age), but this is just gorgeous. Hoping it comes out in SF!
I think this is as beautiful as La Gloria. I'm not sure about the bow either, but the bra is stunning. Look great on you.
I have soft tissue and did not notice any in cup quadding. If I had any, I’d say it was minor. It’s hard to say if I like it better than La Gloria or not.
I love this colour. The bow looks unbalanced to me, too large.
It’s not the end of the world, but it’s a bit big. At least she skipped the straps and it is just at the gore.
I wonder if she would make it as an SF...
Calluna yeah she might, but you'd have to pay for the alteration. I think she charges 40 zloty for custom bras, but I could be wrong (I've never done it because shipping costs became prohibitive)
Apricot is a best seller because of it being a light pastel peachy shade that’s a good neutral colour without being boring. I didn’t pick it out myself, but the fitter brought it with everything that she had in my size range.
This is a typical full lace BM, but I was surprised that it was gapping on my small side. My Wersal and the Malachit both fit fine as 70F, as does my 65FF Cabernet.
I’m not mad about the shade against my skin. The Nougat was far better with my skin tone.
Very pretty bra. This is how my La Gloria fits me now. :(
I have this bra too and love the peachy pink color so pretty! I too experienced some gapping/wrinkling on my smaller side, which is very frustrating because I love the BM style - I feel so supported and uplifted in it - but I must be some weird size in between 70E (too small) and some are good fits in 70f but some like this are a teensy big in cup. I can wear 65ff but prefer 70 band in it.
How fun you were able to try these in person I’m jealous lol! This good color for you but like you I also really like that deser nougatowy color on me (that is a fantastic bra).
I really love EM bras but I feel they don’t love me back half the time....
Yeah it’s weird that it’s the same size I’m used to but it’s a bit bigger. It’s a lovely colour but it’s not quite right for my skin tone.
I've noticed that some of the BMs have looser lace than others -- I suspect the unlined lace (e.g. 70G - Ewa Michalak » Bm Naomi (809) ) is more problematic than the lined lace (e.g. the 70G - Ewa Michalak » Bm Bibi Flamenco (808) )... this looks like it was unlined lace (on the top half of the cup) -- confirm/deny? :)
rainbrasspetals are you saying that some of the BMs have lined lace right up to the top of the cup and others only have lace partway up?
Not quite. I'm saying that the BM cup has (among other things) a two-part construction on the top half, and sometimes it extends into lined lace (like in the Flamenco) and sometimes it extends into UNLINED lace (like the Naomi).
Also sometimes the lace is attached to the lining and sometimes the lining flaps loose (which is true of the Flamenco).
I bought this bra because of the deep green colours and the silky material it’s made of, not really because of the print but in the end I find it funny. The cup’s edge is green and covered with black lace. The cups are made of a black silky fabric with ‘botanical’ print. The horizontal seam is covered with a green ribbon. The straps are black and covered with the same green ribbon, like the ones in Syrena, but it runs all over the straps making them firmer. I can feel the difference right after I put the bra on, it feels like the straps are pulling on the ...band, but I forget it when wearing the bra all day long. The band is made of the same fabric that the cups and as it seems quite stiff, I have impression it’s less stretchy. The shape is typical for the S cut, very centred and lifted. What I like in this size (compared to the 70E I used to wear for years) is more projection at the wire giving a rounder shape. I really like the deep green tones and the shiny fabrics, this is all I love in lingerie (I still find the Syrena is the most beautiful bra I’ve ever had). Read more 102 more words
I’ve had some boob growth and my bras started to feel small in cups. I decided to try a bigger cup size during my last trip to Poland. The store I went to mainly carries basic models but that was fine for me since I needed a nude bra. I tried on this bra in 70E and 70F. The 70E had a very firm band and too small cups. The 70F has a much looser band. I’m not sure if it’s because of the too small cups in the 70E or it’s some kind of inconsistency between sizes. I wear the band on the second hook out of 4. I also noticed a difference in cups: the foam in 70E was much thicker while it’s very thin in 70F, much thinner than my other bras. Otherwise, S Pralinowy is very similar to Orzechowa Pralinka besides the charm on the center gore.
This is my first attempt and an unlined EM. I don't try many unlined bras because I usually end up not liking the shape they give either too minimized, not enough lift, or a lot of uplift and no roundness left at the sides like Cleos do on me. I am actually very pleased with the shape the SM gives, I decided to try this bra because I love the look of it, very sexy, and I've been wanting to find an unlined bra I like for summer.
I found this for a decent price and even though it's not a size I would typically ...try I decided to get it based on a 65FF S Porcelanka I had that was a decent fit and only had slight gaping near the gore. The SM fits fairly well though I do get a bit of gaping at the top which isn't noticeable under a shirt, the gaping doesn't show well in photos.
I think I would like to try this bra in a 70E or 65F, but I'm not sure if it might end up being too small in that size since the 70F seems to fit everywhere other than the top. I can reduce the gaping if I tighten the straps all the way, but that makes it a bit uncomfortable for me. Read more 121 more words
So, this 70F fits and measures the same as my 65F S Turkusik.
You don't see green often in the lingerie world, so this is a nice novelty. I like that it's a rich emerald green and not a moody hunter or blinding lime. It's a really nice shade and the white trim and white background really set it off.
The band doesn't really have a lot of stretch to it. This works for me because I'm not a 70, but is ridiculous for anyone that bought this expecting a 32 band. The cups are also small. Even measuring as a 65 band, this should measure out to FF cups. Nope, ...it's a 65F. Same measurements as my Turkusik. Same fit too. Gaping without pads, so I wear them. The straps on this one are fully adjustable, so that's nice. The rippled ribbon on them makes it difficult to adjust, but they don't move once in place. The shape is very rounded and up front. I don't get cleavage from it though. Too much coverage in my size range. Nice and supportive for soft tissue though, which is expected since the S is made for jigglers.
The lace I'm sure would be super prone to snagging. I haven't had an issue, but I could see it.
So, I got my Turkusik a few months ago. Early on in my Polish adventure and I remember reviewing it as "elevated" high end. I don't necessarily take that back, but...
This and the Turkusik (which are essentially the same bras in different colors) are a bit cheap for Ewa. Cheap for Ewa is still a nice bra, but these aren't as good as they could be. Read more 167 more words
I suspect the bra I received has been mislabelled: it seems to me to be a 70FF (or perhaps a 75F), so it's very difficult to accurately review it.
The nitty gritty first: band has 4 sets of hooks (hallelujah and frabjous day!), straps are fully adjustable, gore is low, lace is stunning, colour has to be seen rather than photographed.
As for the fit ... in comparison to my other SM cuts, the band is very stretchy -- so either the Frappe runs quite loose/stretchy in the band or I have a mislabelled 75. I suspect the former. If it is just a stretchier than normal band, it's ...not overly significant: I'm a between-bander in EM bras, normally needing one extra set of hooks on the 70 band; this Frappe sits comfortably on the loosest hooks from the outset. So in fact the band on this one, whatever it is, is fine for me.
The real problem is the cups are swimming on me. Due to the nature of the SM cut, they are filled at the bottom and have a smooth line across the top, but there's no lift or support. The apex of the bra sits about a cm or so above where it should, and I basically have natural boobs hanging in a lacy sock. So either the Frappe runs large in the cup, or I have a mislabelled FF.
So frustrating! It's such a beautiful bra, and I really wanted it to fit -- but because I don't know whether it's mislabelled or just runs odd in comparison to the other SM cuts, do I assume the former and re-order a 70F? Or assume the latter and reorder a 70E? Read more 175 more words
Argh! I'm sorry to hear that beautiful bra doesn't fit. :(
I'm pretty bummed about it. I've never had any cup size inconsistency from EM before (4 SM bras almost identical and this one is just miles different), so I suspect it's a label issue. But the price/hassle of it all is so disappointing. I doubt I can get it returned now -- living in Aus means the return window has closed before I even receive the bra. And do I swallow the cost of reordering? When selling this one on is likely to be difficult (because no one wants to pay Aus shipping costs)? Ugh. :(
I am loving this new and improved BM style that is perfect for summer! At first I wasn't a fan of the light pink lace and straps but the combo of grey and pink certainly grew on me.
Ewa has made some changes to the model that have definitely improved the fit of the bra. It is still a great fuller-coverage bra that gives a round shape, but now it has 2 layers of fabric instead of one. The entire patterned part of the bra is reinforced with a strong white fabric and the upper lace portion of the cup has an extra band of fabric underneath. This creates ...more structure in the cup and helps contain extremely soft breast tissue, effectively eliminating the bulging and sagging problems I was having with the BM Bibi Czarny Tulipan.
The entire bra feels far more sturdy in the stitching compared to the previous BM styles. The only downside I've discovered is that the reinforced fabric makes the band ridiculously tight and non-stretchy. I really needed a 75 band in this and I will be surprised if I can ever wear it without a band extender.
Despite the band issue I really love the improved fit of the BM and it's great to see Ewa fixing problems with her bras. If you have extremely soft tissue and the other BM styles didn't hold you in very well, try this bra! Read more 129 more words
The floral pattern has a very vintage look to it - it's very pretty.
