This bra made quite a journey to get to me: it was shipped from Poland to be stocked at Zathiya in the U.S., then I ordered it to be sent back overseas to the Netherlands.. Add stupid custom fees and you get the picture; I paid too much for this bra $:
Let's forget about that, because I'm so in love with the print & total look of this bra (: Colors, flowers, neon lace.. It's like a fairy floral funfair explosion! Very 'kitsch', which I adore.
The fit is pretty good, considering I didn't know my EM size. If ...available I would have gone for 70GG - but that was completely sold out. Luckily some nice Bratabaser had added the measurements for this 70H, they seemed within my margins so I went for it.. And it turned out pretty well, it looks and feels good I think!
Perhaps the cups are sliiightly too deep; my smaller breast has some gapping on top. Nothing major, but I personally prefer slightly small over slightly large bras (and I think EM bras are generally meant to be more of a 'compressed' fit in the cup?)
Cup width seems good, confirms my idea of needing narrower wires than Panache / Curvy Kate etc. (even if wider wires are not actually uncomfortable for me, so I'm not replacing my entire bra collection (; ) Funnily the gore is fine: I don't like high gores and the S style was said to have a raised gore, so I worried about that. But it's no problem at all!
Biggest issue is the straps being too wide set: no surprise because I had heard this could be an issue on EM bras. We'll see how it goes with daily wear, maybe I'll change the strap position. All in all size-wise, the 70GG would have been perfect I think. But this 70H is totally wearable and I'm very happy to have it!
Some minor nit-picking issues: I'm kind of a sucker for symmetry and this floral print is pretty different on the right versus left cup. Ewa does mention this when using printed fabric and it's completely understandable. Still I would have loved a bit more 'balance'. Next about the bright pink lace: that's not a perfect match to the fabric (as other reviewers have mentioned) but I think it's still fun looking. However, the lace is stitched over the outer edge of the white inner cup. So this white 'cup lining' is visible through the lace, which seems vaguely sloppy to me?
Lastly, I ordered both briefs and thong and they're very comfy + stretchy. My hips + bum need a large (UK 14 / EU 42-L) in briefs, and I usually tend to size up in thongs (e.g. in Curvy Kates I mostly get size 16). This thong was M / 40 - last size and I really wanted it - but BTB member Tanzi reassured me that they ran large. Aisha at the webshop confirmed this and it really fits! Size is in fact similar to the briefs which I got in a larger size, 42.
So in short: Love the set, both bra and briefs/thong are great. Symmetry of the print could be better and I have some very minor fit issues. I'll probably order my next Ewa S style (yes Kicia, I mean YOU!) in a 70GG. But all in all, my first EM is a success! Read more 468 more words
I often don't like super bright florals but this looks adorable! The fit, visually at least, is spectacular, so I'd say you should have no regrets on sizing. I saw a review of this somewhere a few days ago (not here, but I can't find it by googling) that was kind of a tight fit in the cups, and the lift and shape were not as good as what you're getting here with a tiny bit more room.
Thanks dbmamaz and wendybien !
Yeah the gapping is less visible in the pictures. I think changing the strap placement will also help a lot with that.
Feel really glad / lucky I found it and that it looks and fits well :)
This looks absolutely amazing on you. And those colors are so awesome.
Thanks :3 and yeah such a shame it's discontinued! Kwiaty should be a continuity style at Ewa's if you ask me ;)
If you want a nursing bra that is like all the bras you were wearing before you had a baby, EM is where you go. I'm nursing my fifth baby and I have finally found the holy grail for nursing bras. Excellent projection, everything is within the normal frame/silhouette, supported and not sagging at the bottom of the cup. What more could a girl want? Top it off with a pretty appearance, and seriously, where has this bra been all my life? The recommendation to order a size up in the band might be based on personal preference. I ordered a size up and actually received the wrong size - ...70 instead of 75 - but the 70 fits just fine. Yes, it's a firm band and these wires are hard, but the fit is good. I can still breathe. (I didn't realize that I had received the wrong size till I went to upload this bra, actually.) As far as fit goes in the cups (I suppose I should talk about that?) - I am very full on bottom, and as such, a balconette cup has to be just the right height for it to fit *perfect*. When I am due for a feeding, this is smooth against the top; when I've just nursing, I've got some gaping. Such is the nature of nursing bras. The gaping is not so extreme that it changes the appearance in my clothes. I did order a cup up as was recommended on the Levana website. For the cost, this takes the cake. I own a Freya nursing bra, which is okay (I've reviewed that too) --- it does enough of the job, but it costs just about the same as this bra... only, this one does what I'd expect a $70 bra to do, and that one falls far short. It's worth every penny. I've tried nursing bras from Elomi, Freya, Panache, Le Mystere, Cake. This goes above and beyond. Read more 213 more words
My second try at an Ewa Michalak bra, and I think it's a great match! I'm wearing one of the removable pads in the right cup, which is my smaller side. The gore tacks perfectly and is so comfortable . And, holy cleavage! I first tried a 70GG in a different PL style (Triumf), which was a bit small in the cup. But this bra in a 70H seems perfect! Apologies for subpar pictures, but I'm not a great self-photographer and my husband kept botching it up. My photos don't capture the beautiful gold embroidery on the cups. I'm still new at the Ewa Michalak bra thing, so I was wondering if there are any cup sizing variations across the different styles (S, CHP, SM, BM). Like, if I'm an H in the PL style, should I go up or down a cup size in any of the others? I'm full on top and have more center fullness.
damnit, why is that bra so gorgeous?! i wish EM wasnt such a risk to order, i still cant wrap my head around what sizes or cuts would work because of how different each cut seems to be. i need to take a vacation to poland, stat! :P
This bra is so pretty <3 Great review (all of the HMs, really) too!
coledarling I know what you mean! I wish it were easier to find EM bras secondhand or just more locally, so people could pin down a size or figure out if a style has a chance of working. A trip to Poland would be amazing! You could just swim in all the pretties and cut out all the guesswork! *drool*
ProperlyFitted I know right?! And thanks! :D
there should be a bra musical chairs were we all pass around the different sizes just to try them on and not keep :P
well, greasy wheel gets the grease! caught a post on a facebook buy/sell/swap group for two EM in what looks close-ish to my size. $66ish for 2 bras shipped, fingers crossed at least one works! if not, im sure some bratabasers will be happy to see them listed :P
Ohh, nice! Awesome score! Which ones are they?
im super excited! :D they are both 80F, an HM Classic and Szarak. i feel like theyll be a bit too big in the band and small in the cup, but they look fairly close so itll be worth a try. also likely a bit wide, but eh!
Ahh, jealous! They're both really good looking bras, especially the Szarak. I believe the HMs can be pretty forgiving in the cups because of how open they are on top, so perhaps they'll be workable with a band alteration or something. If not, at least you've gotten a step closer to pinning down your HM size. :D Good luck and hope they work out!
thats what i figure, the cups are so open that i'll probably be able to work em. i dont have much upper fullness, and my apex is lower than average, so fingers crossed they work out! theyre so pretty :') Szarak makes me drool a little! and maybe then i can know which size this lovely cukiereczek will fit me, so gorgeous.
Oh cool, it looks like this bra has some of the same fabric as my 70J - Ewa Michalak » S Karmelki (540) . :) It looks great on you, despite being a bit too small! I think you've convinced me to try an HM bra soon.
You're right! I hadn't even noticed the same fabrics on the different bras. Now I'm starting to see matches between a bunch of different styles/bras, heh.
I'm still waiting for the Fiolecik to ship. It's taking a lot longer for them to finish the one bra than it took them to finish the first three, for some reason. Will definitely review that one too, once it gets here.
I feel like it would look even better on you because you seem to have a taller, more gradual sloping root than I do. Good luck for when you try one! :D
This bra is so sturdy! The fabric is thick and comfortable, and everything is sewn over several times. I feel like it will definitely last longer than most bras in this size, because @Ewa increases durability and strap thickness with size, instead of just making a larger copy of the same bra, like many brands. This is super crucial for support once you get to DD+ busts! This bra is SO sexy, and the accented red between the lace and cheetah print is just enough to make this bra really stand out without being overbearing or tacky. The fitting, of course, is where things always get iffy with this ...brand. I was expecting the cup to be too large and the band to be too small after reading several reviews about @Ewa, but I ordered a cup size larger than I usually wear anyways since this bra comes with padding. Even with the padding out I get a slight quad-boob on BOTH sides, not just my heavy side. The band fit really well, I usually like them just a little snug because I move around a lot and have a bit of pudge so I want something that will stay in place. Overall, I squealed with joy when I got this bra and put it on right away. My only complaint is how small the cups are! I'll definitely have to order a 32HH or J next time. Read more 130 more words
How interesting that you found the cups small! I just got this in my regular size of 70J, and the cups were so tall on me compared to my other S bras. I was so bummed! I agree that it is very sturdy and sexy, though. :)
I thought it was weird, too! Literally every other review I've read about all of their bras had me expecting the oppposite. It could be a little hiccup since their bras are handmade, but I ordered a size up from my regular size and the recommended size from their size calculator. I am either growing or the sizing is weird haha. It was so amazing finding this brand, though, I've been stuck in "grandma" bras since 7th grade and I can finally have confidence as far as the sassy styles go (:
Oh, bra measurements please!!!
cant edit? anyways, its beautiful!
Congrats on your first EM bra! And welcome to the Polish obsession. :D
I'm curious, did you order a cup size larger than your usual UK size? I assume that's what you're referring to.
Ewa bras definitely tend to have their own size chart, and it's often very different than any other you'll encounter. You'll likely find you even need different sizes in her bras depending on the model (PL vs. S vs. CHP vs. BM, etc.). However, they're amazing once you get the right fit!
This bra is gorgeous, and looks really good on you (despite the too small cup)! I have one of this model coming my way, and seeing a couple of reviews on here for it is seriously making me lose patience -- what little I had, anyway.
Enjoy the bra, and definitely order from EM again!
Unfortunately, this bra was about one cup size too big on me and had some wrinkling on the top. Beyond that it was an amazing bra. You just can't beat the quality on the Ewa Michalak bras so it's sad that I'll be returning this one.
I'm normally not a fan of sheer cups but I wanted to at least give one from Ewa Michalak a try. I have to say that it wasn't at all itchy and looked amazing on (despite it being too big). The band felt very secure and comfortable and the lacy detail is just exquisite.
Because there isn't any padding in this one it doesn't quite give you as much volume up front as the other Ewa Michalak padded bras so that might be a good option if you're trying to squeeze into a shirt/dress that you can't normally wear (but just to be clear it's NOT a minimizer bra and your shape still looks amazing in it!).

Band is cut incredibly large for the materials it is made of and as a result it's fit is so loose, it's hard to tell how this style is supposed to fit. There is not stretch at all in the straps, though the elastic at back where it joins has some give. There is a suspender clasps in the back of the ...straps to adjust them to suit. Cups are made from a single layer of soft black netting, with a flat rectangular beige band on top to stabilize motion. The satin binding at the seams is fine and silky smooth- it's flat as can be, but the minute ridges from these on the inside irritate my nips a bit, or they're just very easily bothered lately and the cup is not silky and smooth enough to avoid further irritation (freya daisy is worst offender, gorsenia paradise the least aggravating)
Otherwise, this fits well as my other 2 Ewa SM's, but with a bit more breathing room in the outer half of the cup. I would chalk it up to being just the lighter material, but also think this is likely due to the fact those only have a strap length of 12" and this one at 15" is 3" longer let all the way out, therefore is not pulling the sides up sky high on me.
Apex depth is a bit much for me at an inch taller/longer than mine hits. Will carefully work out a horizontal fisheye dart to deal with that in the center. But the depth everywhere else is perfect, almost a touch big? Might be the super loose band ensuring nothing can tack. Or perhaps the single net layer is showing mechanical ease in this case. Which is preferable to the hot sticky clinging, itchy, too small fit everything else I've been wearing has turned to. Read more 257 more words
This bra is comfy. It's hard for me to describe just how different in approach this bra is to most G+ bras I've tried. It is highly supportive and structured, to the point that I could tell I was in for something new just wigging into the cups. They are very well-suited for my body. The bra has a great amount of projection -- this is the first time my full-on-bottom, narrow, projected boobs have made it to the bottom of something that gives plunge-ish cleavage. The feeling of this bra reminds me of cantilever. My entire body shape looks different, because the bra doesn't allow my ...boobs to touch the outer wall of my torso as much. I swear I'm seeing portions of my torso that I haven't seen since I got boobs in the first place.
This bra makes my boobs look amazing, and the bra stays unerringly in my IMF. I think this is the first time I've seen myself in an unlined bra (even with them being the vast majority of what I've worn since I was 14) and saw it as possibly sexy. This is probably because the bra is so sheer, and is cut in such a way that my nipples don't line up with the seams. It hasn't been a problem because of the way the bra fits on me, though. The mesh is sheerer than most unlined British bras, and is a lot like the Freya Ooh La La. Also, unlike the higher cup sizes in some British brands, this high level of sheerness is maintained in higher cup sizes like my own.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the fit. I was grasping in the dark with what to get, but I got lucky: this bra has 4 rows of 3 hooks each, which is perfect for my situation. I ended up in this 70H, which fits me well when I put it on the tightest possible setting. The sister size that would fit me is a 65HH. In other bras, I wear a 65J (Samanta A925), or 30H (Tutti Rouge Nichole). I could maybe do with a 65J, since it seems like I'm close to quadboobing on my larger boob, but it seems like everything's okay for now.
I didn't find that I had issues with strap wideness or the placement of anything, even though a lot of bras in my size have proved troublesome for that in the past. The wires of this bra are narrow and sit right where my narrow boobs end, without venturing into my armpits. Read more 318 more words
I love the ninas, I have 3 in various sizes. I think they run very true to bra size, possibly slightly small. They are perfect for me because I am very high set and short rooted, and the bottom can just roll up so my boobs are in the proper area (Usually this means forcing underwires into my armpits). I've worn these extensively, and occasionally in lieu of real bras, and I think they stop side-side movement, but not so much top-bottom. I wish ewa would make a sports bra like this, it would kick the enells ass.
With my last Ewa order all being slightly too small in the cup, and another order currently being made (Spring Line!!!), I wanted to order a S cut that was a bigger size to make sure that my new bras would actually fit me properly. So, when I ordered my Annika from Zathiya, I tacked this bra on for free shipping. Boy am I glad I did. I first saw this bra in all it's glory on littlecupbigcup's bra review of the S versus M cut. It's such a pretty blue/green bra, makes me think it's meant to be a mermaid bra. And boy, do I love mermaid stuff, ...just ask my 30+ pairs of little mermaid socks that I rotate. The dark blue lace overlay is great for the majority of the cup, but at the top of the cup it isn't stitched down so it sticks up or wrinkles oddly. That's a small price to pay, since I can't notice it through my shirt. The wires are a tad too wide for me in the bigger cup, but as I've said before I'd rather too wide than too narrow wires. The biggest problem I have come across with the S cups (for me personally that is) is that the bottom of the gore will cut into my stomach. I currently have some tegaderm over a scabbed area that my colette caused, though I'm not 100% sure what fit issue caused it. Possibly being too small in the cups combined with that little lace detailing that is at the bottom of the band was enough to cut me when I bend/twist/stretch, but I am going to test that with this bra at work at some point over the next week. I currently have it on, but since this is my weekend I won't be doing anything as physically strenuous as I normally would be at work. Read more 209 more words
Lovely! i think you are wearing it a little smaller than I wear an S, but i'm so soft I really need more support
dbmamaz i could use to order a 70HH for that time of the month probably. I'm also pretty soft, and I do like the S cuts but prefer the Chps. It's such a gorgeous bra that if they made it into a half cup id definitely buy it
The fit is great. I think this is the best fit style for my breast from Ewa Michalak. The color is just gorgeous. I don't think I could do a better color combo than this https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I love this bra! It is so comfortable. In the past I've had a lot of problems with bras (most recently the Panache Idina Balconette) poking me in the sides even in the correct size. I don't have that issue at all with this bra. I was told that was because this bra has norrower wires than what I tried in the past. My only complaint is that I wish it gave me a little more uplift.
Thanks to Beckym82, I now own my first EM bra!! Logically, I know it is too small for me (I can barely close the band but it is perfect with an extender and it will stretch, right?) and I definitely should go up at least one if not two cup sizes. But I don't want to give it up because even too small, it makes my boobs look AMAZING! I'd almost given up on finding a "perfect fit" bra but this addresses everything I'd been struggling with, fit-wise.
It has narrow wires but deep cups, not too wide of a center gore and hallelujah, it fits and even lifts ...my extremely high set but not necessarily perky breasts (as in my true underbust or breast root starts at the bottom of my armpit...see this post by http://www.bralessinbrasil.com/2012/07/torso-length-height-underarm-fit-and.html for a better explanation). I don't have to shorten the straps to high heaven & have them digging into my armpits in an attempt to get some lift. The underwires don't jab or wrap around to my back. The fabric doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. (I'm looking at you, Curvy Kate Princess!) My not so firm tissue stays in place.
In short (or long, at this point), it ticks all the boxes for what I thought was my impossible to fit chest. Read more 111 more words
I ordered this straight from their website. It took a while to come in but I haven’t felt sexier in any other bra! It brings my breasts in with just the right amount of separation, and when I want that extra oomph I can cross the straps. I just love it. When I wear the straps cross all the relief is taken off my shoulders, and it looks even better in person than it does online. This style was a brilliant decision by Ewa.
Oh Ewa Michalak, how you have won my heart and will make me broke.
This is my third Ewa bra, and the comfort is next level. Gore lays flat, matches nearly perfectly against my IMF. Band of just slightly tight since I am between sizes, but wearable for hours. Depending on the time of month I can have wrinkling in the cups. I have short roots though, so I believe that is part of the reason why.
Overall, I am keeping it. I love the color of this, the quality is top notch as always, and I am wearing a bra that feels like skin for hours before I notice it.
I really like this bra, but it didn’t fit quite right. Cups are too tall/big. I have one on order for a 70GG. I will do a more formal review when that one arrives.
Gorgeous!
