After my success with having my local boutique order me a 75J - » Bm MalachitEwa Michalak , I enlisted them to help me acquire an green Ewa Michalak bra. Due to a mixup somewhere, the boutique received a 70J instead of a 75J. Luckily, this bra has stretch lace cups like my 75J - Ewa Michalak » Bm Koronkowa , so with an extender (gifted by the boutique), the fit was a bit more forgiving than the tulle-lined styles I own. The gore didn't quite tack, but that holds true for all my 75J EM bras except for the BM Koronkowa. I think I might try getting a 70JJ the next time I order an EM bra, since I only needed the 2nd of 4 sets of hooks on the extender.

Awesome that they gave you an extender. Sounds like an awesome store! And that Bm Emerald looks great on you. Do the sides of the cups feel shorter than similarly sized Bms to you?
I just received this bra courtesy of BumbleBean and I really like it! It is a much better fit than my CHP Opium that I just bought for one big reason: The foam on this bra is very thin. On the Opium, the thick foam rubs a lot under my arms, but I don't have this issue with the thinner foam of the Marcepan. Unfortuantely, part of the reason the cups are so thin is the lack of cookie pockets (though I don't really neeeed cookie pockets, so that wasn't a deal breaker for me).
This is the first bra in my collection that can function as a nude for me, and for a "boring" bra its very nice looking. The little light pink bows on the gore and straps, as well as the light pink straps, dress up the beige color of the bra without taking away from its ability to function as a nude for lighter skin tones.

Congratulations, I have this bra too and I love it! I was wondering, have you tried any other CHPs? I only have this one, and I already find it quite thick. I'm now wondering what other CHPs have thinner and thicker foam.
Charlotteke Other than this, the Opium is the only other one I've tried. A 70J is a custom size in the CHP cut (at least now) so there aren't too many floating around out there
I think that part of my issue with the Opium is that I have to wear a cookie on the right size (I'm not sure why, my right side is actually slightly bigger and I've never needed to wear just one cookie before) and those are quite thick. The way the CHP cookies are cut, they extend all the way up to the stretchy part that sits in your armpit. But even removing the cookie, the foam on the Opium is still a bit thicker than the foam on the Marcepan
Good to know! I think the cookies in CHP cuts are such a pain to put in and take out! I don'tblike heavy padding, do I removecthrm straight away, but it is weird that you need one for your bigger boob, maybe the cups are not quite even?
I was so happy with my CHP that I considered bulk ordering some more styles, but perhaps I should first try to figure out which ones have thinner padding.
Charlotteke Yeah, I found it pretty odd. I've seen a handful of other reviews of the Opium saying that they also had one cup fit differently than the other so maybe there's something with the construction of the bra
This is the second EM bra I've tried (the first was an S Colette in a 75HH) and while it is a better fit, it is definitely less comfortable. The bra is a three part cup, with a ribbon sewed onto the top seam. Unfortunately, this ribbon embellishment looks a bit odd under clothes (it creates almost a pointed look). It is a beautiful looking bra though, with a mesh animal print overlay and a light purple flower in the center of the bra. The fit of this bra is amazing! I think that the cup is actually slightly larger than that of the 75HH Colette that I tried ...(either that or I shrunk a little bit, which is also possible. We'll know when I get around to measuring I guess). I was almost quadding out of the Colette but this one perfectly contains me. The wires are narrow enough for me, and it offers great projection and lift (I think that the angle picture I have up doesn't do this bra justice). My one fit complaint would have to be the straps (I know, that's everyones complaint). The straps actually weren't an issue for me in the Colette that I tried, but these straps feel a little different somehow. I think that part of it is the material. The bra has a mesh overlay which is a little itchy on my armpit. I think that these straps might also be a little bit more wide set. Minor issues aside though, I love how this bra looks on me and its definitely a keeper! I'll just throw in a little side note on the bottoms though (which are super comfy): if you're between sizes, definitely get the smaller one! This is a very nice looking bra and i am glad that your happy with the fit. I looks good on you and looks to be a perfect fit on you. The straps do look very wide set but if you can live with that and the itch under your arms, which is minor, then well done on finding such a great fitting bra. Super comfy bottems, we all want that. I have this bra in 75JJ - currently my favorite bra! It is the only S i have in this size tho. I hope it softens for you after washing - i dont notice any itchiness. I do occasionally notice a wire poking me under the arm - only on the smaller size and only when I'm in my car, for some reason lol
This bra is about a cup size too big for me and at least a band size too big too - it rides up even on the tightest hook. I think a 30 J would be better, however, I think I'll experiment with plunges in the future because I would like a more lifted centered look. That said, The shape I get from this CHP isn't bad at all.
The cups As they are too big - I had to tighten the straps all the way. It didn't hel - you see how streachy they are. I totally get why they don't do this style in larger sizes - I feel ...it would colapse under bigger breasts, and under mine it's kind of borderline happening. In the picture you see the fold near the wire - this is what I mean. The cups are not very nice too touch from the outside, they actually make a shhiiishhhhhhhhhh sound when I go over them with my hands or when I move around in a tight top. But the are quite comfy from the inside - I understand now why some women say that with Ewa they sometimes forget that they are wearing a bra.
The band I knew the 32 would be too loose for me and it is. It's about the same kind of loose like a 32 freya antoinette. The edges of the band, much like the antoinette are qiute scratcy - this is why I could never forget to be wearing this bra. - This got better with wear! I tried it on the loosest hook and it was too loose, however I discovered something quite odd. They were stingy with the material that covers the metal clasps - when I moved around I could feel the clasps hurting my skin. This was corrected with moving to tighter hooks. However, I have no idea how I would solve this is fthe band fit on the last hook. Other than that, the band doesn't create much bulging in the back.
The straps Semi adjustable - not a plus for me. But when adjusted, they stay put. Streatchy too. Quite comfy otherwise.
The wires I was suprised at how far up they went - kind of pokey under my underarms. - This doesn't get better with wear. The gore LAYS FLAT. It is quite high so It needed some getting used to - but, but this alone is a first for me - very narrow underwires and a biggest plus for me.
The seams They show. They really really show. No tight tops or thin knitware with this one. Im wearing a cami and a cardigan and I can stil see them. Maybe it's just that I'm not used to seeing vertycal seems.
The shape Most like Cleo Lucy - not as mindblowingly uplifting like some other styles, but nice, round shape. Not as centered as I'd like, but far from east- west look. I was afraid the padding would add bulk to the chest, but actually it's quite the same as the unpadded Lucy.
Support I felt the PL style is more supportive. I can't judge this fairly because It's too big so I get the jiggle. More supportive than Cleo Lucy though.
Apperance Disclamer: I would have *NEVER* bought this one if it wasn't on sale.
"Meh" would be a compliment. I think it actually looks quite cheap. A bit like a little peasant girl going for the roll in the hay. I don't think my boyfriend will apreciate this either. The quality of the material isn't nearly as good as the pl burgund I have tried. The pale blue color is really not me, but I figured I could remove the horrible lace details (the lace trim is really f*ugly IMHO) and use it as a T-shirt bra that could work even under white shirts.. Guess what? No can do. The lace is sowed in like there's no tomorrow so it can't be done without damaging the bra. Even if I did manage to do it - this wouldn't go well under a shirt because of the seams.
Conclusion I can't return it but I might list it on Bratabase for exchange. It's wearable for PMS. Quite comfy too - fell asleep in it watching tv, didn't hurt me at all. Read more 588 more words
I sized up for this bra (my first trial of Ewa Michalak) and I think that was the right decision. Even so, I think the cup might be just cutting in a tiny bit on my larger side. The gore does tack although it is hard to see - I'm not good at taking photos of myself, and I'm very close-set. I took the bra insert (or cookie) out of the larger side and wore both on my smaller side. The inserts are long and wide but not thick. The cups are much more flexible without them. I am wearing the bra on the loosest hooks in the ...photos but I do think I will have to go to tighter hooks before long - I am more of a 30 than 32 band size. The straps are thicker than I'm used to and a bit more difficult to adjust. That's not a problem but the decorative edging does worry me a bit as I've encountered bras before where trim like this felt like a serrated knife edge and was very painful! I have only tried on this bra so far. I hope it proves to be comfortable as I like the look and it is giving good uplift and cleavage. Despite being a plunge it feels secure and not too skimpy which I hope will prevent my boobs trying to escape over the front. The wires seem so far to be in the right place (generally wires are too wide and go much too far into my armpit) and there is enough projection, so the bra isn't pushed down from my IMF - I hope it stays up in longer wear. There is no gap at the bottom of the cup, which is so unusual - I usually have about a finger-width of empty space there because most cups are too shallow at the bottom. So this bra has been languishing in my drawer for months, due to it's terrible fit. Same issues that can be seen in a handful of other user's pictures here: tons of gaping at the top of the cup, a weird sort of orange in a glass effect at the bottom with the lace all distorted, and a simultaneously saggy and pointy appearance.
Not to rehash strapgate all over again BUT... I moved the straps inward and the difference in fit, appearance and support is ridiculous. So much better. Where there was tons of gaping before, I actually get some quadboob now. The shape is more subtly rounded and the weirdness happening at the bottom of the cup is pretty much gone. I think I could stand to have a bit more immediate projection in the cup but it's not glaringly apparent.
Is this a perfect fit? No. But it's wearable and now I know the strap alteration works on the lacy bras.
Is there any way you could go over the steps to do this? I understand if you do not have the time but I end up with this problem even with broad shoulders for some reason; I don't know if it is in respect to my breast size possibly for my frame but who knows.

Truth be told though, I never bother pulling out the sewing machine for this but I handstitch pretty quickly & neatly.
For this alteration, I didn't need to make any adjustments to the arm hole so basically I very slowly & very carefully used a seam ripper to remove the lacy cup from the strap, including the triangular support fabric. I left the elastic attached and just cut it (after the seam ripping!) where the elasticized lace section met the elasticized strap area.
You can kinda see on my close up pic - there is now a section of lace between the two elastic areas (on the cup, under the arm & the triangular strap). I found that the lace stayed fine on it's own & didn't need to be reseamed into the elastic at the armhole. You can also kind of see that on my lovely armpit picture!
I suppose it might look more "done" following Nesoa's instructions but since I'm lazy & it doesn't seem to negatively affect the fit or appearance I didn't bother.
If you do it the dressing curves way, you will get a better result in the long run. Just moving the straps in without attaching the strap to the armhole makes the cup more shallow. The Dressing Curves method basically maintains the balance of force, so the strap will continue to "pull" on the edge of the armhole, maintaining the depth of the cup and moving the boobs forward and centerish.
So, if this bra fits you better with the strap pulling on the center, that indicates you could do with a more shallow cup. Which is good news, really, because there are more shallow cups out there than deep!
I love this bra! It is a gorgeous tomato red color with smooth material on the cups and the band is made from a stretchy lace. The straps are soft and fully adjustable (yay!)
The bra is VERY comfortable. The only other EM bra I have is an HP Kobalt, and even though that one might be a tiny bit more luxurious in the comfort department, this one is still phenomenal. It might be because the cups are padded/lined and I'm used to wearing unlined bras. Either way, I love how it feels.
The shape is very uplifted, projected, and rounded, which I LOVE. ...EM definitely has a distinct shape compared to other bras.
The band is a little too large, so I'm wearing it on the tightest set of hooks. I feel the cups and wires fit me pretty well, though. I previously was under the assumption that I needed wide wires, but after trying this bra, I now realize that I might actually fit better in narrow/medium wires now that I can see and feel the difference compared to my other bras.
I have a little quadboob in this bra, but just like in the HP Kobalt I have, I don't think it's actually true quadboob -- I think it's just due to me having very soft boobs. I am very bottom heavy and very soft, so if I were to size up in the cup, it would leave me looking deflated, I believe.
All in all, I really like this bra/style and will definitely consider purchasing other ones in the future (most likely in a 30JJ.) Both the Ewa CHP and HP definitely work better for me than the Masquerade Rhea, which was an epic fail.
I had a slightly similar problem with this one as I did with my HP Kobalt. In my 75H bras from Ewa, I would get a tiny amount of quadraboob during the day and I had to fasten the band on the tightest hooks from the beginning. I thought I'd try one band size down and one cup size larger from what I originally had hoping it would fit, but that was definitely the wrong choice.
In this one, it wasn't quite as bad as the HP Kobalt. I still get a small amount of gaping near the center gore. It isn't much at all though and is invisible ...under clothes. However, my smaller breast has a bit more noticeable gaping at the top. I am tempted to try using a pad at the bottom to see if it evens things out. I think, though, that I could be one cup smaller in this bra. The underwires are also a bit long for me and come nearly right up to the top of my armpit. Not too comfortable sadly.
As for the bra itself, the gray fabric is lovely! Perfectly soft and I love the color! I think I will try sizing down in the cup and see how that works. This bra is too amazing to pass up! The shape it gives me is also pretty phenomenal. This is the first CHP style I have tried from Ewa, and I think it is actually my favorite above the HP style. It offers the coverage and slightly less projection of the HP with the lift of the CP. Once I find my size, I think I am going to need all the colors!

I did it, but I am afraid it has found a new home. I might have a CHP Mak in the same size though. I ordered it before I found out this one was too big for me.
This beautiful bra makes me think of cotton candy at a carnival, it is bright, fun, larger than life colors, and I love it. I love the pretty lace lined cups, and the nice wide straps. I am not a big fan of the strap adjustment hardware, as it is jarringly white in comparison to everything else on the bra, it really stands out in a negative way.
For reference, I am full on bottom, very close set, with high roots. My best fitting bras currently are Comexim in size 65N.
This bra is just a little too big. In the pictures you can see that ...the the cups are not lying flat, they gap a little. Also, like some cups that are a little too big, the cups aren't molding my breasts, and I end up with a strange sort of pointy shape, you can see in the pictures. This is not surprising, as I knew a 65J would be more likely to fit, but I figured this was worth a try, as its so pretty and I was able to do an exchange with the lovely summersunshine . In the pictures I have the bra tightened to the tightest hooks. This keeps the band somewhat level on my 29in underbust. The gore is comfortably narrow for my close set breasts. This type of lace seems to develop snags and nubs easily, so this bra is still pretty, but is clearly used. I think that this is a flaw with using this kind of lace on a bra, which receives friction from arms and clothes all day. Unfortunately, the biggest problem for me is that the underwires stab in to my armpit when I move my arms, it is exceedingly uncomfortable. This is so pretty! Too bad about the fit. I got a a round shape in BM when it wasn't too big. Nowadays my BM bras also fit a bit big and it makes them look pointy and it also makes them less supportive. :( Im my experience BM should not be worn too big. It's more supportive when on the "smaller side" when you really use the extra room of the stretchy lace. I hope you can exchange it :)

Straps set a bit wide for me. I fill the cups at the bottom but at the top there is space like the cup needs to be reduced. Gore doesn't quite tack and I can't figure out why. Band could be smaller, I'm already on second to last hook.
So, most of your bras are a GG. J is 3 cup sizes up. I think its just too big.
In theory I agree, but I fill the rest of the cup/the gore doesn’t sit flat which leads me to believe it doesn’t have enough immediate projection so a smaller size wouldn’t fix that. By current measurements I’m a 28J/30HH, obviously a 32J is too big, but I know Ewa bands run small so I sized up but should have stuck with a 65. I would expect the gore to tack/more space in other areas if it was just a size issue.
The S does not have a lot of space in the center or at the wire. It’s supposed to function like a push-up bra. If your tissue is not soft enough it won’t have the desired effect. Also, the S cut is extremely tall. It is not a good cut for short boobs in the the higher cup sizes. It could just be too big or too tall. Have you tried any other Ewa cuts?
This is my first Ewa, as she only makes one option in a nursing clip. I'm going to explore the CHP and the PL. I'll probably just stick to 65M/N in Comexim 3HC with the nursing clip alteration, I have some in the mail to me now (fingers crossed) I was just hoping to be able to do a bra off the shelf sans alterations for once. :p
I have very soft tissue and in Comexim use an overlapping gore. I should have researched the Ewa S cut more before going for this bra. :)
I have a full review of this bra on my blog but it was based on the 75HH (34HH). I found the band of that bra a bit loose so I returned it and reordered a band size down, so the 70J (32J). This bra is extremely tight in the band and the cups seem smaller than the HH, although they should be the same if the sister sizing rule applies.
This bra is utterly gorgeous though and I can put up with it being a bit tight if it means my boobs can look as amazing as they do in this!

This is definitely the best fitting bra I own. I have 6 of the s style Ewa bras, and although they are my best fitting bras, the gore doesn't usually completely tack on me due to a lack of inner fullness and close set boobs... Until this one. This gore tacks perfectly. I broke a sweat struggling to switch the staps to the regular straps. They are ridiculously snug, but better too snug than too loose I guess. The comfort straps were not long enough for me (I'm 5'10) but the regular set are perfect. I absolutely recommend this bra to everyone, in fact I sell it in my storehttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />. I would wear a UK 32 (if I wore anything other than polish bras) and the 70 is perfect on the loosest hook. Just a nude, so not super exciting, but still a necessity.

This bra is definitely too big for me. The band is perfect, but the cups are too large. I get a slight bit of wrinkling at the bottom. Also, I get a bit of gaping at ...the top of the cup near the center gore. If that seam was a bit tighter at the top, this bra would be nearly perfect! The gaping is too much and actually sticks out under clothing. I also have a bit of empty space between the top of the cup where the straps begin. It just doesn't lie flat.
The bra is amazingly beautiful though. Well made and lovely! I think I will try a few more bras from this company to get my perfect size, and when I do I will be ordering this one again! Read more 97 more words
It sounds like if you wanted to go down a band size and up in cup volume, you should go with a 70 H. 75H (+smaller band) = 70GG (+ bigger cup) = 70H. [Or, 75H (+larger cup size) = 75HH (+ smaller band) = 70H. same thing different order.]
Of course, if you're trying different bra styles, you may find that they fit a little bit differently than this model. Good luck!
Agh! ignore that. You did your math right for your intentions. Rather: 75H (+smaller band) = 70HH (+ bigger cup) = 70J. [75H (+larger cup size) = 75HH (+ smaller band) = 70J.] I guess maybe the cups were not actually too small, but were either siting in the wrong place (cause by ll fitting band) or that the shape is just not quite right in that model for you.

I've been having trouble fitting into all my usual bras lately - since I started graduate school, I've experienced some weight gain and also had a breast shape change at about the same time. I used to be very FOB, but I'm now more evenly full - however, due to having up-to-collarbone-tall breast roots they act more like very FOT boobs. Due to tissue moving back out of my armpits since being properly fitted, I've also been progressively getting more narrow - now to the point of having pretty well everything, including my narrower Cleos, have wires that are too wide. ... Since moving up a cup and down a band (from 32H in everything to 30J/32HH where the band runs small) I've also been struggling with cups biting me under the arms as well as borderline-too-wide strap placement. Lots of my bras that used to fit OK are now also too shallow for me.
I worked out before the weight gain that 70J would probably be the best size for me in Ewa Michalak's S cut, but was trigger-shy about trying one - 70J and 32H is a big size difference, and I was worried I'd go to the trouble of ordering from Poland for a bra that turned out to be too big for me. This style almost swayed me when it came out - I love green lingerie, but I couldn't justify spending the money at the time. I finally decided to take the plunge when I saw this one listed, despite not being sure if I'd now be too big for it.
I was very pleasantly surprised! First of all, the stock photo of the Musisztomiec doesn't do it justice - the green against the white, as well as the decorative crinkling of the green satiny strips on the white straps, just looks so much more vibrant and luxurious in person.
Fit-wise - it's almost perfect! I don't quad in it at all, and the wires are exactly the right width for me. The cup height under my arms is comfortable. The straps aren't positioned too wide on me, although I think someone with significantly narrower shoulders than me might have issues - my shoulders are about average in width. I get a really nice rounded, uplifted shape in this but it's not too in-your-face - for comparison, a couple of the bras I don't wear under certain shirts because they give me a bit too much oomph are my CHP Gazeta in 70HH and my Freya Deco Honey in 32GG. The other thing to comment on is the centre gore - anyone who's read any of my other Bratabase reviews knows that in pretty well every bra I own, my extremely close-set breasts push the centre gore away. I am close set to the extent that above a certain height, it is literally impossible for any gore to tack on me without sitting on breast tissue - at the closest point I have less than a millimetre of space between them.
This gore - almost tacks! It's low enough to avoid the point of them getting closer together further up my chest, but still leans away by a couple of millimetres - that is, it 'soft tacks'. I'm not sure if Ewas typically have wires that are a bit softer than Panache/Cleo, or if it's just because I have firm tissue and a lot of centre fullness/immediate projection near my sternum. However, I consider this a very minor fit issue, since again this happens in pretty much every bra I own (the aforementioned Deco being a notable exception, but I definitely wouldn't want to do labwork and run up and down stairs in my Deco all day...). The bra still feels comfortable and supportive.
I've tried as much as I can to give a helpful description of how the S cut fits on someone with my breast shape in my size range. I am a HUGE fan of medium-tone beige bras, as there don't seem to be many on the market. I have very cool, pink-toned skin, so beige bras with a yellow undertone clash with my skin and make me look washed-out. These yellow-toned "nudes" don't really disappear under thin or light clothing for me because of the contrast with my skin tone, especially in the summertime when I have a bit of a tan, as I do now. I was actually quite happy with the color of my 70J - Ewa Michalak » S Karmelki (540) and 70J - Ewa Michalak » S Rarytas (595) , but both of these bras had a shiny ribbon along the cups that created contrast. The body of the cups themselves was invisible under clothing; however, that shiny ribbon was more obvious than if I had worn a black bra under a white t-shirt. The color of my 70J - Ewa Michalak » Chp Marcepan (514) is absolutely perfect, but the lace along the edge is white, bulky and created contrast as well (you will see I later removed it.) I was very happy to finally see a medium-toned beige bra without ornamentation that could be used as a true nude for me. Yes, I know I am very fussy about "nude" colored bras!
When I saw the Ewa Michalak S Orzechowa Pralinka released, I immediately emailed to ask if it could be custom made into different cuts. I wanted this bra in every cut available. Unfortunately, I was told that it was only to be available as the S cut. Since that was the case, I decided to order 2 different sizes since I am right on the edge of where the cup construction changes. EM's bras in 70J and below (and sister sizes) are made with 3-part construction; bras in 70JJ and above (and sister sizes) are made with 4-part construction. I was hoping to use the 3-part 70J when I wanted to show a bit more cleavage and the 4-part 70JJ when I wanted more coverage and a rounded shape.
The appearance of the bra itself is quite simple but elegant. I also own Ewa Michalak Sm Cynamon (517) and compared it to this one. The material of the band and the straps is the EXACT same materials from the Cynamon. The cups seem to be made of a neutral colored foam that is covered in a translucent mesh fabric, which you should be able to see in some of my pictures. I wish the cups were covered with the same fabric as the band, but oh well. The mesh fabric doesn't seem as luxurious as some of their usual fabrics, which I guess the lower price point reflects (149 PLN instead of the 179-199 PLN that has become the norm for her padded bras.) The main difference in the 70J and 70JJ, besides the obvious 3 and 4-part cup construction, is that the 70J only has 2 hooks whereas the 70JJ has 3.
As far as the fit, I really didn't see much difference in cup depth between the 70J and 70JJ. Sure, the fit and shape are different because the cups are constructed differently, but the cup depth is nearly identical. I was hoping to have a larger bra to turn to when I need it, but it seems I would need to size up another cup (70K) to get a noticeable difference. Also, the gores on S bras never really truly tack on me due to my close-set breasts, but it's never a comfort issue. I am absolutely fine with a "soft tack" and sometimes mark my bras as fitting even when they don't truly tack.
This bra is the "definite Bibi" for me, being the first Bm model to come out. I just love it, as it fits so perfectly. The other Bms have been thicker in the cup, having two layers of fabric, this one has only one, making it very light to wear. Also, the band runs true to size. In appearance it's an everyday black bra with nice, modest lace, so nothing overly fancy there. But boy, it's so supportive!
I bought this bra from BumbleBean. It's one cup size too big, but I really want to keep it so I'm wearing it with one pad on the larger breast and two on the smaller and I like it!
This lovely bra was what convinced me to finally order something from EM. It is so beautiful!
Unfortunately, its only 'ok' on me.
I used EM's sizing calculator (exhaling and pulling tight, as advised elsewhere), and was put in a 70HH. I wrote them, asking for help, and they suggested I try the BM Perla in 70HH, but this bra in a 70J - i thought it was because the SM cut ran smaller than the BM cut, but I think it is more because the materials in this bra are just not stretchy, whereas the Perla's material is.
Which means that this ...bra is a LITTLE small on me. The stretched band is almost 3 inches smaller than the Perla, but with the extender, the straps still stay on my shoulders, so thats fine (and hopefully I'll find my black extender, those little things are so easy to lose!)
The cups, as mentioned in some other reviews, are shallow and tall. Its not very clear in these pictures, but my larger breast looks a bit squared off in this bra - which is a strangely common problem for me, but apparently extremely rare for other people? There is also loose fabric at the top - more than there was when my Floris was new. However, like the Floris lace, it does not seem to show through, so it seems to be ok.
One thing that really surprised me between the two bras - this SM seems to separate my breasts better, and come higher on me, than the BM. I had assumed the SM would be lower-cut. Of course, it could be in part due to the larger size in this SM - but in my lowest-cut top, the bow of this SM is visible fairly easily (keep in mind, I'm short, everyone looks down on me) - whereas the BM Perla was almost invisible.
I'm hoping the band will stretch some over time . . . but I'm not really confident. This is some really, really firm material. Its one of those mysteries - the bra that I stared at on line for months, imagining how beautiful I'd feel in it, does not make me nearly excited to wear as a more plain bra . . because it doesnt fit as well.
Edit: apparently I had not properly scooped-and-swooped - this bra seems to fit me well now! Hubby says it holds me higher up than some others. and after washing, its not too itchy. Tho the lace under the underwire sometimes gets caught under the cups, and that does hurt. Read more 345 more words
I've gotten that squared-off look before - I think the bra of mine that does it the most is my Lucy, but it mostly does it on my smaller breast. Weird. I have absolutely no idea what causes it.
I've always read/seen people say to never use the calculator on EM's site. Also the general advice I've seen is to go up a band size because the bands run tight (my 85HH, for example, seems to stretch to just about halfway between a 36 and 38). Maybe exchanging it for a 75HH would work better?
Yeah, I'm sorta wondering about that, if I should exchange or keep. Maybe I should do a fit request and put it up for a vote lol. Its just so painful, waiting months for a bra. this one is made-to-order and they keep running out of fabric, too
I agree. I don't understand how they calculate their sizing. It was way off for me! It put me at a 65E, and I've been doing ok with the 65FF, but could def do a 60G/GG! They seem to underestimate your actual cup size and over estimate band size. I've seen a lot of other women have this same problem when using their size calculator.
And YES!!! My last two orders they sent an email saying they had to wait for materials before completing them. This PL Blekitna Rapsodia I ordered is taking forever! I ordered it on 2/20, and still no bra :( the wait is pure torture! lol! But I've had my eye on this bra here (Fiolecik), it looks so pretty! But I, too, was hoping for a "magically round" fit. Still can't find an unlined bra that doesn't make me look pointy. And I thought EM was good for giving that rounded shape with their unlined bras.
The other bra I ordered in my size per their calculator (but pulling super tight on my rib measure) and it fit. this one, the fabric just has no stretch to it.
Someone said the padded ones are rounder? This one isnt pointy, its just a little flattened.
the pics are a bad angle - hubby was too close and is pretty much looking straight down at me, but there was not enough light anywhere else
Wow, noticing that even unstretched band length of this is almost 2 inches shorter than unstretched BM Perla. WTF?
