I bought this bra off another Bratabase user at a steal, since it had a minor factory defect (one strap sewn in reversed at the back). I'm handy with a needle and had no problems correcting this.
Unfortunately, the bra does not quite fit. It's the same size (75H) as the S Porcelanka I own, and yet it cuts in at the top, giving me quad boobs. The band is also significantly firmer than the Porcelanka. That's not a big deal, I could wear it with a bra extender until the band stretches about a centimeter. However, there's nothing to be done ... about the fit at the top.
At first, I thought the Margot ran a half cup small, but now that I'm trying it on again for this review, I think it's incompatible with my even-fullness breast shape. The Porcelanka is much more open at the top so I get nicely rounded cleavage. This bra is a little more modest, attempting to cover more of my breast tissue ... with disastrous results.
In other respects, the Margot runs true to size. The narrow wires encase the bottom curves of my breast, there's plenty of projection, the gore doesn't stab at me. Other reviewers have mentioned how it's a sheer bra that still manages to be discreet with cleverly placed embroidered flowers; this is completely true. One last point: the mesh material of the cups is sturdy, not stretchy or fragile. I had no issue with comfort but it's possible someone with very sensitive skin might be irritated by that mesh.
It's overall a lovely and well designed bra, just not the one for me.
Oh well, I'll find another home for it.
