Still searching for abtf; current shape: Narrow, soft tissue, projected.
First of, this is a beautiful bra. The color (Natural Beige) is really pretty, the embroidery is gorgeous and soft, and the straps don't chafe or dig in despite the decoration on the strap itself. It's oddly large compared to other 30Fs I have.
For the fit: Not enough projection at the wire and too closed at the top; wires were way way too wide (past my armpit) and gave the top of my breasts a deflated, skii-slope appearance. The wires didn't sit in my IMF, especially with how wide they were. I think the projection is pretty good for the bra. The band was extremely wide; even on the tightest hook I could still shove my hand underneath and turn it sideways. It could be an attribute of how stretchy the band was. I suggest it for extreme wide, immediate projection, and FOB breasts.
I'm almost angry that it didn't fit; the material was so soft compared to Panache and Cleo cups.
For me the cups were too tall, and the overall fit was not in anyway flattering. The wider lace panels on the back strap pooched and looked gross. The gore tacked in hard and painfully, and I suspect the wires are too wide. This one was a big no.
Just got this bra in my correct size so I can't speak to longevity. It feels well made and is quite comfortable though! My breasts sit along the wire nicely and the cups seem to have good projection for me. I have slight wrinkling on the top edge on my smaller breast, tightening that strap helps some though. The gore is just a wee bit tall on me, but I also have a short torso. The band is nice and snug (I was wearing a 34 before), and doesn't slide around. I really like the fabric, it's soft and very smooth under tops. Also gives a nice rounded shape. Overall, I think it's a pretty good fit!
I have soft, wide set, FOB and slightly center full breasts with short roots. Also a short torso and a slight rib flare.
Purchased in Nov of 2014, this red Jana and another in nude were my first and only Fantasie bras. They were both more supportive, comfortable and bounce controlling than the Curvy Kate's and Flirtelle's that I bought around the same time and as a result, the Jana's lasted longer in my rotation. The fit and comfort of the CK's and Flirtelle's were close but the Jana's were much much better at controlling bounce, especially on a brisk walk. I no longer have any of these as my Bravissimo bras are much better in every way for me.
This nude Jana was purchased in late 2014 along with another in red. Both were my first try of Fantasie, which seemed to lean towards more matronly bras at that time. I liked the way Jana put my boobs front and center but bounce control was not what I liked or needed. The cups were a little small but KK was not an option for pretty much the entire Fantasie line. The straps were reasonably comfortable and sturdy but did not minimize/eliminate bounce. Fwiw, I got a great deal of unintended cleavage, more than any other bra I had tried up to that point in time.
I moved on ...from the Fantasie bras as they have been a disappointment that has led to apprehension on trying anything new from them, at least in terms of online shopping. Of course, I moved on from these bras long before I understood the benefit of adding bras and measurements to this database. An instore visit would be best providing they have my size in stock, which is definitely a rarity. I had also tried a number of Curvy Kate's and Flirtelle's with even less success. I was in tears with these bras as expectations were high. Thankfully I discovered Bratabase and eventually Bravissimo and have bought over 40 bras from them in the past 6 years. Cups are the wrong shape for me, band is too loose. Underwires like to slide into the center gore, if I'd kept it i would have stitched them down a little.
Despite sharing a model name (Aubree), this bra seems to differ a fair amount from Fantasie Aubree (6932) in both measurements and looks.
I was drawn to this bra initially because of the lace sides/gore and small charm in the front, but ultimately I would say I don't like it. The gore is wider/higher than I would like, and if I lean to the side a little it starts poking me. The lace on the sides also goes up higher than the rest of the side panel, which looks a bit odd to me. (Though I assume it's probably supposed to provide some kind of smoothing effect under a shirt.) The rose gold outlines on part of the lace also make the bra look off somehow, and I think I might prefer it if all of the lace was the same color as the bra.
A close fit, but not quite there. The cups seem shallow compared to some of my other bras. The gore sits flat against my sternum, but the wires shift around. I'm getting minimal support from this bra and feel like I would be jiggling out of the top just walking around a grocery store. It's a beautiful bra, though. Wish it fit!
This is cup sizes too small for me, but I wear it because the wires are actually the right narrow width for once at this size. Definitely quadding if S&S, but if I don't do that it's not major and can wear it to get the shape I want.
I don't love this one. I think it squishes and spreads them more than most my others, projection is less and the breast tissue is just not so front and center.
75E is a bit on the wide side. It's on the smallest hook since day 1. Not super supportive, but perfectly invisible and comfortable under thin summer clothes. Just a little wide between the strap and my armpit
I also tried 70F, but then the cup is too small and the center gore comes away too far from my chest. Next time I'll buy 70G.
