Despite the cute fabric of this swimsuit, it fits me really weirdly. The cups SEEM deep enough, but the way it's made (I guess?) makes it so the fabric at the top of the cups flattens the top of my breasts. Because of this, I get a super weird shape, sorta pointy and triangular, with my breasts pointing downward. It's not flattering at all. I think I've been spoiled by Polish bras or something, or I need better construction of the cups to contain my soft tissue. Anyways, the quality is good, the fabric is soft and the band is nice and tight. It just doesn't work for me, shape-wise. The quest for the perfect swimsuit (sigh) continues...
That upside down 7 shape happens often with Fantasie side support styles, especially if they're a little too small. I have center fullness and my Fantasie Elodie didn't have enough room for it.
Ah, I didn't know that's what that odd shape is called, but it's really apt! Luckily, I didn't spend too much on the bikini to find out it didn't work.
Wrinkles at the bottom and slightly near the straps. Also small gaps between the top of my breast and the straps. Found out this means I am too projected for this bra - the cup depth is too shallow for me. Need to go up to something around 29 cm. Might try picking this up in a size 32G instead. Keep this in mind if you're projected like myself.
The gore tacks to my chest, and the wires are just the right size that they cover my breast tissue yet don't go too far up or back under my armpit, and also sits pretty well in my IMF.
I really like the shape it gives, it is more rounded as opposed to the pointy shape some bras create.
Fits nice and snug in the band, and would be great to wear in over time. Though, the bottom of the band feels very sharp when brand new, might take a few washes before it becomes comfortable. Straps are very adjustable.
Thanks so much margesimpson ! Not too shabby for my first time fitting a proper bra on myself! :)
Totally :) and for a moulded bra, which is even harder to get a good fit. Congrats!
other than the very minor wrinkling at the inside bottom of the cups, which no one is going to see, it looks like a good but not excellent fit. and for a first time self fit, you did great! I agree, next time perhaps find something with a little deeper cup.
thank you billi09 ! ordered a 32G since it has another centimeter or 2 of depth, so I'll be posting how that fits in comparison and likely keeping whichever is better. :)
This is the first bra that I've had where I was able to fill out the bottoms of the cups so there's a plus. I'd heard that the cup sizes ran larger and to order at least a size down but I ordered my suspected size anyways but much to my surprise it seems like either the cups run smaller in this style or I'm actually bigger than what I originally thought. This bra's band is FIRM. And I mean F I R M, I would take a 28 band and even though I have to wear it on the last hook (I could probably get away with wearing it on the middle hook if I really wanted to), the bra band is still pretty darn tight WHICH IS PRETTY FREAKING AWESOME (and kind of sort of rare, like me being serious about going on a diet for once rare) if you're a 30 band or below.
This @Fantasie Rebecca spacer bra is very basic looking; beige with a very thin line of white lace tracing the front half of the straps on the very tall, seamless full-coverage cup tops. The geometric lace also encircles the front of the band. It encourages a tear drop profile & wide, round shape. Because this is a spacer bra, the extremely thin foam cup isn't built for modesty. The underwires are hugely uncomfortable & quite painfully dig into my sternum. I have bent the wires away from my chest but its still far too painful to wear. Part of the problem is that I'm short AND short-waisted so any full-coverage cups will always look ... wonky, too large, or as if I'm playing dress up with my great grandmother's bra. I believe it would be great for tall, shallow, & wide boobs. I know that @Fantasie creates beautiful, quality lingerie; so I really wanted to love this bra but it just didn't work for my shape. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
The fit feels similar to high apex plunges, works well with the cup side support to lift, separate, and project. Normally for plunges with a gore at this height they dig in and I end up bending the tip of the gore away from my body slightly, but this one may not require that. The top mesh is non-stretch, which I was a little skeptical of, but it fits wonderfully, and the floral embroidery is super gorgeous!! The straps are a bit wider than my norm. My only slight concern with this bra is that I already have the straps almost the shortest they can go (the embroidery ...continues up the first 4-5 inches of the strap). I may end up altering the strap length in the future.
I definitely want to find other Fantasie bras with this same cut and buy all the colors.

If you don't mind having traffic cone breasts, this bra is great! Seriously, I have never had such pointy boobs.
Other than that, it fits well. Lots of projection. But the lace at the top of the cup gaps and the embroidery shows through shirts. The lace at the bottom of the gore is a bit irritating to me. The silky material making up the bottom of the cups is SO soft and lovely. I wish the entire bra was just made out of that!
This one was so frustrating! I thought I had actually found a moulded bra that fit perfectly, but apparently, the wing height was too big. Anytime I moved, the top of the cup dug into my armpits.
That’s a bummer - when you’re sure you’ve found a good one, but they were pulling the wool over your eyes. Some bras legit take *hours* - and trying out different positions/tasks to suss out. It’s rough!!
CAGirlGoingPolish So true! I've had the same experience with a few bras now, but I guess it's helpful to know why it doesn't work, and what to look for next.
I find myself reaching for Alex a lot because it is incredibly comfortable. However, this bra does not fit. There are many, many issues with it for me, most of them, I believe, stemming from the fact that my breast tissue is very very soft.
Usually 32 bands work great for me, but it's something about the fabric they used for this band that is weird. Some days, it will work fine and not ride up on loosest hook, other days, I have to fasten it on the tightest hook. Most days, I wear it on the middle hook. The band stretched out fairly fast, I'm talking within hours.
The ...cup is really sturdy at the bottom and has great lift. It has three vertical seams on the bottom, with the most outer one going all the way to the top (the side support feature), and a horizontal seam where the lace connects. That being said, the cups will give you more of a east-west than front and center shape. This doesn't bother me with Alex. It looks pretty nice and has a somewhat minimising effect. The 'side support' seam will cut into my tissue when I lift my arms, and give me some vertical in cup quadding, lol. The real issue with the cups for me is the lace. It's non-stretch tulle with beautiful geo embroidery. Unfortunately, the change of tension between the lace and embroidery makes for the weirdest cutting in I've ever seen on me. I believe on firm breasts this bra fits beautifully. On mine... not so much. The cups are also a little too closed and on top of lace cutting in (even where it fits), I get some quad boob (especially on my larger side). I highly doubt any of these issues would be solved with going up in cup. That being said none of this is uncomfortable, just doesn't look good and is very very obvious under anything but thick sweaters and hoodies.
The shape of wires I do love. It must be in the way Fantasie does wire channels but holy crap they are comfortable. The gore is really wide and tall. I do find that the very top will sit on my breast tissue at times, but not after I do the gore scoop and swoop. I can see this being a problem for pretty much anyone who doesn't have at least 2, maybe even 3 fingers between their breasts.
The thick straps are very comfortable, and I can adjust them as long as I need.
So overall, even if Alex doesn't fit, I still wear it whenever I don't feel like fussing about my looks. It's just so comfy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />. Because of Alex, I've bought two other Fantasie bras trying to find a similar fit, minus the weird cutting in. Unfortunately, that did not work. Read more 365 more words
when I wore it in a way that the cups were fully filed it started to cause pain, so I had to loose the straps, and the cup wrinkled. It feels too tight at the top and too lose at the bottom. And it pushes my breast to the sides, what doesn't help.
edit: After loosing some weight it fits me better. I have about this same horizontal breast perimeter (29.5 cm to 29 cm), but now I have less tissue on the top (27.5 cm to 24.5 cm vertical). Now it is really supportive and comfortable... The only one thing is, that it leaves marks on my sternum, but I don't find it painful. I wear it on the tightest hook.
A very nice, simple, lightweight lace bra. Typical Fantasie: supportive, comfortable, gives a natural and lifted shape. Really sweet colorway reminiscent of EM Summertime: vintage lace with warm orange and antique gold embroidery. Nothing shows under knit top, its a very 'discreet' bra. Straps adjust fully, lace is soft, band is true to size, side support panels help to bring everything front and center. Balcony cut with fairly high coverage in the cups and firm wires that enclose the full breast on the outside. Top soft lace panel is a little bit stretchy so it doesn't cut in but holds on nicely, no gaping. A wardrobe staple, especially for warmer months!
Fantasie makes great bras. I could wear this Shannon all day, it is that comfortable! With the side support panels, it brings the slightly pendulous girls up and centered. The wires are firm and average width, they do not come up too high under the arm and the gore tacks and is not too high, even being close set as I am. The wings also do not come up too high. The band is strong and firm, but not tight. The straps are fully adjustable. The well-constructed 4-part cups work great for my even/FOB projected girls, giving a perky green shape with no gaping, and are plenty deep ...enough at the bottom and the apex. The fabric is a smooth nylon, soft to the skin. Nothing itchy or irritating here. The berry colorway is different in a very grown-up way, its neither purple nor red, more maroon maybe? Burgundy lip stain? I couldn't get it in pictures. The decorative mandala-like embroidery detail is kind of ethnic/boho looking, and pink. Its an interesting combination of colors! And the color is simply awful on my yellow-toned skin. So I'm selling Shannon, even though she has done no wrong and fits just fine. Read more 92 more words
Pros: This is a pretty bra with nice embroidery! Seems like it is high quality and will last a while. The band fits well. Soft lining in bottom half of cup. Good support & shaping!
Cons: The outside edge of bra and bra strap rub along my shoulder/armpit. Just generally not super comfortable. I'm always aware I'm wearing a bra and it's just scratchy enough so that I can't wait to take it off! :/
Summary: I like this bra a lot but suspect a 30FF would have helped with the rubbing issue and fit me better all in all. As it is, the bra is still a nice bra but not the highest in comfort. Will probably try to sell this one and find another one in a different size.
I realize that the website says this won't fit my measurements, because it will be too tight in the band and too tight in the cup, and it is too tight in the cup when I've not nursed for a few hours (nothing noticeable under a t-shirt, but there's a nigh-imperceptible line on my boob if I check), but I actually had the band taken in to fit me better since I could put it on the tightest hook with ease.
It is a very comfortable and supportive fit. A bit higher cup than would be ideal for a round breasted gal, but it's really not bad. I snagged it on clearance and had a seamstress take in the back wings, since a 30G fits me quite nicely in Fantasie/Freya right now.
Like everything I've ever worn, the cups are too far apart, but like all Fantasie/Freya bras I own, it's better than most and fits like other bras by these labels.
This felt so good when I first put it on but then the underwire started slipping below my IMF. Disappointed! It is a lovely basic if it fits your shape. I think the cups are maybe not projected enough at the bottom for me. Returned.
This used to be my go-to bra, and now it doesn't fit me. Weight gain and loss combined with menopause have made my breast a bit less self-supported and a bit more full on bottom. This bra doesn't seem to have enough immediate projection for me. Bottom of the cup: My breasts fill out the bottom of the cup, and there is wrinkling/pulling of the bottom of the cup. The wires also push down. I'm not sure if that's from the wires being too narrow or the lack of immediate projection in the molded cup. Top of the cup: There is wrinkling due to empty cup space. The ABTF subreddit has a list of bras classified by projection and whether they are a fit for FOT, even, or FOB breasts. This bra is in the projected and FOT category. That explains why it's not a fit for me.
