This bra is very pretty. I own it in 3 colorways. After a break-in period it became pretty comfortable with some issues: the mulberry colorway is very pinchy and has scratchy elastic; the black/pink colorway is the least stretchy and the tightest in the cup, and the cafe latte colorway has the roomiest cups and the stretchiest band.
It has very narrow, deep cups with a very strong construction. It runs small in the band, really more of a 32 band size, and the band is a bit narrow which causes back bulges. The straps are very stretchy, but not as stretchy as on a Fantasie Florence. ...I would prefer a wider band and 3 hooks rather than two.
The bra holds the boobs a little more widely than my favorite bras, but it's only a little bit, so i can live with it. As the bras break in they are less easty-westy, so don't give up after the first wear.
The problems: the seams are very bulky and show through thin shirts. There ARE seamed bras that have completely flat seams, so this is a negative. All that said, I had originally rated it "good" in quality, but today I must lower that rating, as for the second time I have had a random rip open up in the lace. My pink/black one had several rips and i thought this was a singular fluke, but now my mulberry one has ripped also.
Also, on some days this bra seems to move around a LOT. I honestly think this is because the band is too narrow, so the weight of my breasts is pulling it down in front. I wear the band quite firm, so it's not a matter of a loose band.
Pros: I like the narrow wires, very pretty fabric and color, the non-bulky construction on the band, and the fact that the cups are 4-part, seamed, and NOT stretchy. It's pretty comfortable.
Cons: very stretchy straps, limited sizing, only 2 hooks, minor east-west effect, and the seams are kind of bulky, especially where 2 seams meet. This bra is very visible under a thin tshirt. Then the rips. I bought my Savannah bras at a discount on eBay and I would not pay full price for them.
I wore this bra out dancing and it was completely comfortable and stayed put all night long. It moved WITH me. I was very impressed. If they could solve the construction problems it would be a favorite.
NOTE: if you are having problems getting this bra comfortable, remember that it is a plunge and the center gore should be lower than the underarm area. Grabbing the outer edged of the underwires and hauling them way up beneath the armpits gives a better, more secure fit. Read more 355 more words
I absolutely love the fabric. It feels like it's been comfortably worn in. I do not completely fill up the cup, there's always about a fingers width distance between my bra and my breast in a bra. Never had anything fill this correctly and I suspect I won't ever, so it's not too much of an issue for me. The gore is too high does not lie flat. The projection is very nice but there is noticable pulling at the side seems and this is a "side support" bra so perhaps it's not the right for my shape. Love the short/narrow wires ( I think these terms are used interchangeably) so there is no armpit chafing with excessive fabric. The left breast does not fit in this size nor the 34F (even smaller, obviously) and I also have 34G and 34H on the way. Even after swooping and scooping the left side does not fit.
This Fantasie Twilight Side Support bra is beautiful. It's almost a great fit for me. Would prefer: straps narrower, more immediate project at wire, smoother seems. I don't think I'll keep it but it would be SO great if my shape were just a bit different.
This is a very sturdy bra with a ton of support and lift. The band is nice and wide, not flimsy at all, and with not much stretch. The band fit perfectly, except where the too-small cups were pushing it away (and causing it to pinch just slightly in one or two spots). Even with the center gore and most of the wires floating pretty far away and riding up onto breast tissue, there was still a ton of lift and support. Having finally found an underwire bra with narrow wires (and a proper-sized band), I can now definitively say that it makes a massive difference.
Unfortunately, looking ...at the measurement charts, the next cup sizes up do have more depth, which I need, but also more width, which I don't need, so the wider wires will almost certainly reach under my arms where there's no breast tissue. (My tight underbust is 33" and snug is 34", so I'm thinking I have a narrower chest/narrower shoulders than I realized.) The straps sat nicely on my shoulders, not too wide.
There was a bit of cone-shaping going on, but since the cups were too small, I'm not sure how they'd fill the right sized cup. Still, I think I wouldn't even care too much about the shape at this level of support. It was such a difference from what I'm used to. And it's clearly constructed with large breasts in mind, not just scaled up, which is nice. Read more 139 more words
This bra feels more supportive than most I currently own, but the fit is a little off. I'm not sure if that's because the tops of my breasts are still very full for their size, or because it's less than a cup size too small. Either way, it's very pretty and I feel like it helps me stand up a little straighter. The lace could also theoretically be itchy, but it doesn't bother me.
This is an extremely stretchy band, even for Fantasie. I would size down from whatever looks like it fits in the store. A 34 looked perfect on the loosest hook in Nordstrom, and I had it on the tightest hook after a single wash.
Very very soft fabric, I love. No itching, feels comfortably worn in. Low wires *insert praise hands* no rubbing in the armpit or chafing. I do not fill up the bottom of the cup - always what happens to me, no amount of swooping and scooping changes it. You can see the fabric is being pulled on the right and left sides of the cup in my side views. As usual the larger breast does not fit properly and therefore the gore does not tack nor land in the correct position. I have also tried this in a 34GG with a similar issue - cup is far too small ad spilled from armpit and quad boob. I also absolutely love the full cup coverage with lace. Since it didn't work for me I didn't even try it under a t-shirt (and I have it coming in 34G and 34H UK)
This is the first bra I've purchased in my true size after gaining weight. I love the look of this bra and it fits extremely well with no puckering or spillage anywhere when I first put it on. However, it is very uncomfortable to wear all day. By the evening, even if I hook it on the loosest hooks (too loose for proper fit) I have deep ruts in my skin under my arms and along my back. The underwires tend to dig into my ribcage as well and leave welts. I mostly wear it with shirts that really show the shape of my boobs because the lift and roundness of the bra is very nice.
This bra comes so close to fitting that i might as well say it fits. Aside from the gore not fully tacking, the fit is great. I should really wear a 32H or 32HH in this bra, but they don't go above a GG, so here i am in a 34 GG, but still loving it.
I feel like it does a fabulous job of "minimizing" without feeling or looking like a minimizer. It gives me a lovely rounded shape. I like the feel of the padded cups. This my first padded bra (i thought i would hate them) and i really like how gently solid the fit is.
The band is only a 2-hook (i prefer 3), but it feels very well constructed and stays in place well. the straps are not fully adjustable, but they adjust to the right length for me and i like that they are constructed such that i can adjust them myself with the bra on (the adjuster thingy pulls up instead of down).
Pros: -Gives a natural rounded shape to my breasts, they tend to look super round in anything but Rebecca is great for t-shirts -The cups feel very nice, very comfortable padding material
Cons: -Scratchy feeling -The band is large, I went for a 34 and it was snug on the tightest hook but I could wear it enough without an extender -The wires are thin and a little flimsy
Overall, it's a really good bra. I love the way my breasts look in it...before I scoop and swoop. Even after I do, it's still comfy if you disregard the materials scratching me. The wires are a little wide(for me), but workable.
Just as a reference, I wear a size 36HH/36J and my breasts are very projected, narrow-rooted, round(slightly pendulous...I think they are starting to head that way), full on top, and I have very narrow shoulders.
I usually don't like full cups, they seem to keep my breasts apart but...I'm breastfeeding at the moment, breast can get quite heavy and full cup bra gives me great support and comfort. I was surprised about the tightnest of the bra too, for 34 it fits very nice and smug at the loosest hook.
This bra doesn’t fit me anymore, but worked fine when it did. Nothing exciting, not quite the right shape or fit, but it did the job.
I intended this as my regular go to bra, but I don’t like how the texture is obvious through my shirts, even more so than my unlined lacier bras. I do like that it is pretty lightweight and comfortable in the summer.
The bra does not really do anything for the shape of my boobs. It doesn’t provide me any lift and almost makes me look flatter. It also gives me a slightly pointy shape even though I completely filled the cup before ...I lost weight. I usually prefer a lifted and rounded look, so it is out of the norm for me. The gore was higher than I typically go for, and I found it uncomfortable. The straps easily slide off even if I tighten them, which gets annoying quickly. This bra helped me learn very quickly that this type of full cup bra is not my preferred and does not flatter me.
Overall, this bra is fine, but doesn’t check a lot of my preferred boxes. I was very ashamed of my body when I bought this, but now that my confidence is slowly bouncing back, I admittedly prefer to accentuate my hourglass body. This bra has the opposite effect. It is now too big for me, and I don’t intend on purchasing in my new smaller size. Read more 137 more words
The underwire fits well and doesn't dig. The feel of the fabric is rough and doesn't feel great. Coverage is good. There is spillage near middle yet there is gapping at the top up to the strap.
That overall it's very well-made and comfortable and looks great under shirts, but it's for someone whose breasts are a tad farther apart than mine are.
A close fit, but not quite there. The cups seem shallow compared to some of my other bras. The gore sits flat against my sternum, but the wires shift around. I'm getting minimal support from this bra and feel like I would be jiggling out of the top just walking around a grocery store. It's a beautiful bra, though. Wish it fit!
Comfortable bra, seems to be very similar in shape to Freya bras (specifically Expression) but less uncomfortable in the fabric. I still have issues with a finger or two of space at the bottom of the cup, and the wire is too wide. Overall I think it’s a pretty neat bra, just not for me sadly.
Comfy fabric, flattering shape. Wrong cup size for me, would definitely have to go up a cup size. Feels like it could be a great every day bra, though. It does have a silly dangly tiny piece of metal hanging from the top of the gore. I can see cutting that off. It is oddly attached in such a way that it could flip up and stay up and poke your shirt in a weird way. Odd design choice.
I really liked the look of this bra, but not the fit. The band fit me well (snugly on first hook), but the cups were too small - the gore was not tacking and I was getting quad boob. I also found the wires fairly wide and the fabric touched my tail of Spence in an annoying way. Too bad because it's a beautiful bra. I will probably reorder in a larger cup size.
I ordered this bra in a 34GG to see if it would fit better than the same bra in a 34G that I own in another color (sand). I like the fit of the 34G in general except for the fact that the gore turns sideways and lies on the side of my left (and largest) breast as the day progresses; I thought that going up one cup size might help with this issue. It turns out that going up one cup size wasn't a good idea: the gore still doesn't sit properly and I can't fill the top of the cups so they wrinkle. I tried tightening the straps several times to see if that would solve the issue but it didn't. Other than that, this bra has a soft satiny fabric with subtle black stripes. I would have kept it if it was an improvement over the fit of the 36G but I will be returning it since it wasn't.
My breasts are more FoB so the top of the cup didn't lay totally flat, I also have very little space between my breasts so the height of the Gore wasn't ideal, the wires fold over one another instead of laying flat. Other than that I am very happy with this bra
