I bought this at the same time as the 4510 T-shirt bra, which I bought in a 38E. The seamless smoothing bras in Fantasie are really all over the place in terms of sizing. I followed the sizing advice on both Her Room & Linda the Bra Lady - both advised going down in the band as it runs large, & up in the cup. This was accurate. I normally wear 38F in this brand, & the 36FF fit very well. Love the straps: perfect placement - set further out on the shoulder, but not as far as Freya, which are often too far out for me. And ...very comfy, perfect width.
Surprisingly, I liked it much better than the T-shirt version, which has much shorter wires. Usually, that's a good thing for me, but in this, the higher wires actually rested more comfortably under the arm. Gives a nice, rounded lifted shape. And I like the non-padded style. However, the wires are still a bit too narrow for me. I find Freya has a much broader wire, which fits my wide breasts well, but I don't care for the shape they give. Fantasie's more narrow wires start to irritate me after about 5 hours. Read more 96 more words
Scalloped strap edges. Could be promising, with a rounded shape and cups high enough on the sides to contain my armpit boob. The bra almost points outwards, though, eliminating all cleavage. Top edge of cup rests nearly flat against my sternum with very little breast tissue being pushed up. Would like more lift and less separation. I returned this bra.
Scalloped strap edges to prevent strap adjustment from slipping. Too much side boob and quad boob. Too pointy of a shape, but maybe could be better with larger cup size. I returned this bra.
I so wanted this to be my perfect bra, but alas it wasn't. It wasn't the bras fault though, my tatas just aren't full enough to fill the cups. I loved the feel and look of this bra, the band was snug, but not constricting. The wires were a good width and height, so if I bent over I wasn't being stabbed or getting poked in my armpit. The straps are very adjustable, so no matter your height you should be able to find the right length to suit you.
Overall fit is ok. It's a cup size or two large for now, but I'll probably grow more while pregnant and breastfeeding. The band is pretty firm. I'm extra sensitive to that right now since I'm ~20 weeks pregnant. I think it may stretch out with a couple wears. Normally these wires would be too high for me, but I have a lot more tissue these days. Not too wide, plenty of depth at the wire, I feel pretty contained.
I don't like the shape, but that may be because it's too big on me. Not enough lift or shape for my FOB boobs. I can see my nipples through a shirt super easily, which I don't get as much in unlined Cleos (my only other unpadded bras).
This bra makes me look sort of flat horizontally (like a pancake sticking out), but it is very comfortable. I started looking into other side support bras so that I could feel this good more often.
This bra is not comfortable on me. The left cup fits OK but the right cup wrinkles a lot at the top (smaller boob side). The right strap keeps sliding off my shoulder during the day. I think the issue is that the fabric of this bra doesn't stretch much at all and the cup is one piece of fabric (seamless), not 3 or 4 pieces with seams like some of my other bras.
Sadly, this bra is too small for me in cup size, and a little snug in the band. I was hoping the vertical seam style would work for my shape, but this bra seems to fit small. I love the purple colour and the sheer look, but the lace embroidery presses into my soft breast tissue and doesn't shape smoothly, probably because I've mashed too much breast into the too-small cup. I will need to size up to see if it might be right for me. For comparison, I do have a Fantasie Susanna bra in 36G which is a better fit for me, on the Susanna the band is comfortable and the cups almost too roomy, so I thought I could go down in cup size when ordering the Allegra, alas it comes up small.
Extremely soft and pretty bra! The issues I have with this bra is that it is about a cupsize too big, and made for someone (again) fuller on top than I am. The underwires are a bit narrow for my wide shape, as well. I may eventually sell this bra once I get others in a better size, but for now, I shall keep it.
This is a very supportive and comfortable bra. It didn't really work for my projected shape though. I sized down a cup from my usual 36G because I had read that it runs big in the cup. I got a very small amount of quadding. The cup is not deep enough for me though as the gore was no where near tacking and the bottom of the cup was folding on itself.
The fabric is pretty thin as far as molded bras are concerned and it didn't feel like it was adding any bulk which I really liked. As others have mentioned the cups are pretty rigidly molded which may be a problem for those with more firm breast tissue.
I received this bra second-hand from a trade. I was hoping for a comfy "work bra" that I don't care too much about and that can get smelly and sweaty, while still giving me nice support. While I haven't worn this bra at work yet, I will provide my initial thoughts.
Pros - COMFY. Strap is very stretchy. It might also just be really stretched out, as this bra looks pretty used, and I can see some fading of the black around the gore. Normally I wear extenders with all my 36 bras when I first get them, but this one is definitely comfortable enough for me. This bra fits my shape (wider set breasts) well.
Cons - There is wrinkling at the top of the cup and my breasts don't quite fill the cup. Luckily, this is not noticeable under clothing.
I will update my review once I wear this at work, where I am typically running around/sweating like a crazy person.
- Band is comfortable (2-finger fit) - Underwire is about a half inch wider than my breast root - Straps again seem too far apart and dig into the front of my armpit/shoulder when I move my arms forward - The bottom part of the cups seems to fit okay, but there is a lot of wrinkling at the top, and the top edge does not lie flat - The gore seems to go too high and is uncomfortable at the top - The shape is a bit more “pointy” than I would like
I tried on a size too large for me (ideally, I'm a 34F/FF) just to see what it's like and I really fell in love with the bra. Unfortunately for me, the straps were way too large and stretchy at the tightest setting (I had to hold them up just to see if the cups would fit at least.. but I'm like 5 feet tall so you probably won't have this problem!) Anyway, the fabric is really gorgeous. Much more see-through than the stock photos lead you to believe (I tried on the WHITE version). It's not stiff or scratchy but soft and stretchy. The cups fit pretty well, a bit too wide, even though this size was larger than I normally fit and I would even think that if I'd tried on a cup size down, the stretchiness in the cups would've worked to my advantage.
Very comfortable bra. I should probably have gone down a cup size (to an E?) and up a band size.
This bra really shrinks up when washed. After 3-4 wearings it stretches. Don't be fooled into buying too big of a cup size - they stretch. Band stretches, but not nearly as much as the cups.
originally got this bra in 36f, which was just a smidge too small, but even so it was so comfy and versatile I bought it in 36ff. Wear it all the time, goes well under work clothes. doesn't quite tack and looks like it wrinkles at the bottom when I first scoop and swoop but my rather soft breast tissue settles into it pretty quickly and then it fits almost perfectly. Ther is a teeny bit of cup at the top that I can't quite fill, but when I settle in it covers up my armpit flub.
This bra is pretty comfortable, but it doesn't fit me perfectly. I can't quite fill out the bottom of the cups, which leads me to believe that the cups may be slightly too large for me.
Con: The adjustable straps will slowly slide out of place. I currently wear this bra almost every day, and I have to tighten the straps every few days.
This is a fantastic bra. There are so many bras out there that don't fit such a large cup size without being "minimizing" or "full coverage". This bra fits my non-wide root breasts (unlike the Freya which is specifically built for a wide root breast) and hides well under any thin shirt. I need more than one!
