This bra has soft, unseamed cups with strong but gentle fabric for the band, straps, etc. The soft, unseamed cups are supportive, but also take more of their shape from by breasts than other bras have. This gives me a less awkward shape (my breasts are a reasonable shape, if a bit bottom-heavy, un-bra'd).

I've had these bras for years. I wear them for everything. They get sweaty. They get nasty. They get gross. They go in the washing machine (but not the dryer). They do stretch out a bit (the band, most noticeably) after the break-in period, but after that, they just keep enduring. I've found fantastic ... build quality and durability with these.

I do have some issues due to the too-big band. The band rides up, and once this happens, the support is less. I can adjust for this to some level by yanking the band back down (great to do in public! *cough*) or tightening the straps (non-optimal, can cause some redness on my shoulders). If this bra were available in a 28 and still had a cup size that fit me well, it'd be the only daily-wear bra I ever bought. I'll be trying a few other bras, but if I don't find something I like this much, I'll just keep buying these and have the band shortened.

Please note: The bras in the pictures are heavily worn, multiple years old.

The Fantasie Smoothing bra is SO comfortable and well made, that when it didn't fit me I just wanted to cry. The lower cups fit perfectly, as did the wire diameter and band, but the upper cups had awful vertical wrinkling. The cups are shaped such that you MUST have very full, round breasts (or fakes) for it to fit properly.

That being said, this is a superbly well constructed and again, super comfortable bra. The cup material is not like most molded cups I've seen. Material on this type of bra is usually thin and very stretchy. On this bra, however, the fabric has little stretch and is pretty tough. I can tell that it would offer great support and smoothness in the right size. Easy to see how this would be a hit. Unfortunately I ordered the smallest size offered so I'm out of luck.
    Purchased Spring 2010 from HerRoom.

Wrinkles at the bottom and slightly near the straps. Also small gaps between the top of my breast and the straps. Found out this means I am too projected for this bra - the cup depth is too shallow for me. Need to go up to something around 29 cm. Might try picking this up in a size 32G instead. Keep this in mind if you're projected like myself.

The gore tacks to my chest, and the wires are just the right size that they cover my breast tissue yet don't go too far up or back under my armpit, and also sits pretty well in my IMF.

I really like the shape it gives, it is more rounded as opposed to the pointy shape some bras create.

Fits nice and snug in the band, and would be great to wear in over time. Though, the bottom of the band feels very sharp when brand new, might take a few washes before it becomes comfortable. Straps are very adjustable.

      Looks like a great fit!

Thanks so much margesimpson ! Not too shabby for my first time fitting a proper bra on myself! :)

    • 1

Totally :) and for a moulded bra, which is even harder to get a good fit. Congrats!

    • 1

other than the very minor wrinkling at the inside bottom of the cups, which no one is going to see, it looks like a good but not excellent fit. and for a first time self fit, you did great! I agree, next time perhaps find something with a little deeper cup.

    • thank you billi09 ! ordered a 32G since it has another centimeter or 2 of depth, so I'll be posting how that fits in comparison and likely keeping whichever is better. :)

  4. Band is fits firmly on loosest hooks. Underwires are not uncomfortable, and sit right where they should. The center gore fit is amazing, it sits right where it should and the separation seems just about perfect. The cups fit pretty well, I get a tiny bit of wrinkling at the top or just a wisp or overspill (depending on the time of month), but overall it's good, and I'm positive this is the best size for me.

View from the front is a tiny bit wider than I like, but not bad. Profile view is nice and rounded, and actually fairly lifted as well. Unfortunately the cups are not ... lined, so there is no protection for show-through...but that's what DIMRS are for! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

Straps are placed too far apart, which is a common problem for me. While not ideal, using a strap accessory in the back stops strap slippage. It's worth noting that I often have a problem with straps/the side of cups cutting into my armpit, but this is not a problem at all with this bra.

This has become my go-to bra for days when I need a tan/nude bra. It's not my favorite in my drawer (I prefer molded or foam cups), but I'm very glad to have it.

  5. This is my absolute favourite every day bra.

It's non padded. Unfortunately it gets mixed up with the Fantasie Moulded TShirt bra because when you look at photos the two look identical!

I find this bra is so comfortable all day. The band is very stretchy but very firm. I often switch between a 28 or 30 band when I go from one style to the next but in this one the 30 is perfect - on any hook. It never constrains my breathing. And no wires or seams dig into my flesh throughout the day.

I have round boobs that are soft and fleshy at the center of my ... chest. This bra separates the boobs at the center gore but doesn't push my boobs out under my armpits (I get this affect easily since I have a narrow chest and closely centered breasts on that chest). In fact the shape of the T-Shirt version pushes my nipples outwards unnaturally.

The straps are super stretchy and comfortable. This bra is no frills but it's very smooth and comfortable on the body.

The only downside is that the top of the cup is nearly impossible to fit into perfectly. In a size up it wrinkles with the elastic laying flat but the fabric not, and in this size (my best Fantasie size) the fabric is smooth but the elastic digs in just a tiny bit.

I've had this bra in several sizes for the last 5 years or so. They stand up to normal machine washing really well. After a few years the elastic starts to pill and warp from wear. The rest of the bra looks no different. It's a work horse. And it's comfortable.

    My favourite.

  6. I bought this at the same time as the 4510 T-shirt bra, which I bought in a 38E. The seamless smoothing bras in Fantasie are really all over the place in terms of sizing. I followed the sizing advice on both Her Room & Linda the Bra Lady - both advised going down in the band as it runs large, & up in the cup. This was accurate. I normally wear 38F in this brand, & the 36FF fit very well. Love the straps: perfect placement - set further out on the shoulder, but not as far as Freya, which are often too far out for me. And ... very comfy, perfect width.

Surprisingly, I liked it much better than the T-shirt version, which has much shorter wires. Usually, that's a good thing for me, but in this, the higher wires actually rested more comfortably under the arm. Gives a nice, rounded lifted shape. And I like the non-padded style. However, the wires are still a bit too narrow for me. I find Freya has a much broader wire, which fits my wide breasts well, but I don't care for the shape they give. Fantasie's more narrow wires start to irritate me after about 5 hours.

I'll probably start a fit request for suggestions once I take pictures, but I found this bra too tall in the wings/sides of cups for me. I'm only 5'2" and it was digging into my armpits and that chubby part between your boob and your armpit (is there a name for that?). I had some wrinkling in various spots depending on how tight/loose the straps were, which I expect with my boobs, so overall the fit wasn't perfect on me, but the cup separation and band size were spot on. I love the soft cups, and think for a taller lady, this bra would be a fantastic every day bra. A note on the straps: As I said before, I'm short; and I had the straps 2.5" from their maximum length. They are stretchy and fully adjustable, but if you're really tall, you might find they're not long enough or dig in.

I found this bra 10 years ago, and have worn this model almost every day since then. It gives a perfectly round but still natural shape to my breasts, which I feel like works well due to my very soft tissue. I still love this bra, but I have to start out wearing it on the tightest hook and it quickly becomes too loose because I really need a 28 band, which Fantasie doesn't make. My only other issue is my breasts vacillate between a 30FF and 30G, and are often squarely in the middle, with slight quading in the 30FF and extra space in the 30G.

    Fits

I usually wear a 32G/30H, but have had this bra in a 32FF. I decided to try it in the 32G, and WHOA! It fits so much better.

It is extremely comfortable. The fabric for the cups is fairly stretchy (thus why I can wear the FF), but still very supportive.

It's a seamless bra, so good under t-shirts. Also, some of the advertising for this bra calls it "molded"... it's not lined, padded, or shaped. It's basically the unlined, unpadded, unshaped version of the 4510.

The only potential "drawback" for me is that my breasts apparently sit quite close together, and even though the center wires on this bra are close together, they spread my breasts a bit.

I like this bra very much and intend to get another in this better size in black.

This is no fancy bra, but it's not ugly either. It looks pleasant enough, like a simple modern balconette. You do need round boobs to fill out the top of the cups... I have a 32F and it mostly fits, unfortunately my boobs are 2 different sizes right now due to nursing, so I have a great fit in one boob and top wrinkles on the other. I think if I take a dart near the sternum on that side, I can get it to work. The fit is mostly good for me, and it's pretty comfortable. I have slight pokage on my sternum and I wish the cups ... were a bit narrower to put my boobs in front more and on my sides less.

This bra is near invisible under clothing due to the molded cup and there is no weird seaming or lace to cause showthrough on clothing. It gives a perky rounded lifted shape that is popular now.

I have a black one now and previously owned a 'nude' colored one. The durability of this bra is VERY good. My 'nude' bra lasted 4 years of heavy use before the rubber in the straps disintegrated. There was discoloring - the different fabrics drifted apart from each other in color - but it remained functional until the rubber went.

If it fits I 100% recommend it for quality, practicality, and un-ugliness.
