I am a Fauve fangirl, so you should probably take what I say with a grain of salt, but this is one superb bra. I am even, functionally FOB, close-set, side-heavy but narrow rooted with immediate projection. Fit: check. Support: check. Sophisticated Style: check. Fabrics: Check. Construction: Check. Comfort: Check. Snuggly feeling that under my clothes I am a goddess: Check! This Isobel balcony is a deep eggplant purple, with accents of cafe au lait embroidery and ribbons. It has side support panels bringing me front and center, and side boning to hold in the underarm bulge. Construction overall is excellent, with great attention to detail and finishing. The ... fabric has a delightfully soft, almost velvety feel to the skin. The sides are a strong matching powermesh, quite supportive and not binding. The straps are not very stretchy, fully adjustable and edged with picot, as is the entire band. There are embroidery embellishments at the clasp, which always makes me imagine a Someone undoing it in flickering candlelight (but that's generally how I feel in my Fauves anyway). The shape is natural, not round but not pointy; uplifted and centered. The gore is narrow; the wires touch at the top. The wires themselves are neither narrow nor wide and are in a perfect U shape. I don't feel this bra on like I do Cleos or Ewas, so the wires must be comfy! The top embroidered sheer mesh panel has cloth binding along the top edge, but it does not cut in on me, just defines the curve of my breast nicely. It does have a fairly high gore and pretty high coverage, but I don't feel covered up because of the sheer mesh and because it fits so well. For me there is no gapping at the strap or top cup as there is with plunge and full coverage cuts. This is my 3rd Isobel balcony, and they are all winners! The Isobel half cup / plunge was a horrid fit, though.
