This bra was made for a princess...or at least I like to pretend it was hehehe https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Fauve might not be in production anymore, but the bras still go on...and Coco is a beauty to look upon! This bra is one of the most beautiful bras that I own, is deep purple/aubergine (is not a brownish purple, is aubergine!), with pink, silver and golden embroidery, really really pretty.
Cup depth and width are average, I'm mean not too shallow not too deep and the underwires are quite average at 5.2", still a little too wide for me. But my bigger issues with this bra were the gore width and height, way too tall and wide and the underwires were too hard and rounded.
I performed some bra surgery and now fit me, more or less, changed the underwires for a pair from an old plunge, less ...rounded and more narrow, now the cup width is 5" and the cup depth 8.5", was 8.3 before; reduced the gore height and width and crossed the underwires at the top, now the width is a little more that 1/2" and the height 2", is not a drastic change but fit me better. I tought that I will need to reduce the band legth too but was not necessary, the band is in the small side for a 30 band.
The cups are quite invisible under clothing, in spite of the embroidery and lace, nice open cups, low coverage but not so much (I prefer more low coverage), the band is stretchy and not very firm, straps are very comfy and not wide set at all (compared with EM or Cleo for example).
The lace at borders is quite harsh, I tolerate it in the cups but at bottom of the band is too much, wore the bra yesterday and I still have a rash where the embroidery lace border touched my skin. I will remove it the border trim, probably the bra will look less pretty but more wearable. Read more 188 more words
I started reading in Czech and actually can understand quite a lot. :) Anyhow, this set is beautiful, especially in "modra barva". :)
It's great :-) I see you are from Croatia and Croatian and Czech are both Slavic languages so they are similar. Blue is my favourite colour so I have to buy this set :-) However now I'm looking for some green or teal bra.
I bought the bra in a sister size to my usual 28F and altered the band down. Fauve´s 30 bands sometimes fit me (Bronte longline) but othet times they´re just too big. The cups are a very good fit for my shallow boobs, and wide + tall root. In fact, they´re perfect https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Straps adjust all the way. 2 hooks + eyes.
I also got matching short + brief in size M. They fit me very well, and I usually wear M, so I think they run "true to size".
The band was too big for me, I usually wear 28F-28FF, so I altered it down. The band doesn´t stretch much, or it is quite rigid, beware. The cups are almost okay, but I´ve noticed a little quadboob in the top of the cups. So maybe one size up would´ve fit me better. I have shallow boobs and wide+high roots and the shape is okay. The wires come quite high in the armpit and also in the center. I had to bend them a little so they wouldn´t stabb me. I´d prefer them shorter, but I can wear the bra without pain.
One curious thing. ...I have 3 colours of this bra, mink, peacock blue and purple. The mink seems to fit differently from the other two!! Peacock blue and purple are good for shallow + wide boobs, but the cups of the mink colourway are definitely deeper!! I get a droopy shape in the mink bra :-/ I don´t know if this really is due to colour, or size. They are all different sizes (all sister sizes to 28F): mink is 34D, peacock blue is 32DD and purple is 30E. Just beware of this!! Read more 90 more words
This bra is awful. The band is really stretchy and even hooking it on the tightest hook, it's still way too big. The wires are super wide and very projected, so great if you're wide and projected. I got a 30E and the band is more like a 34. It may also be a cup size large.
A very pretty bra, the printed fabric is overlain with white mesh throughout. The lace trims on the seams and edges of the cup are somewhat thick and show through shirts. All the elastic has a decorative trim on the edges that also helps prevent the strap adjusters from slipping. The front part of the straps is covered with the printed fabric but they are still fully adjustable with a little effort.
This bra is quite shallow at the bottom of the cups, but has some volume at the top. I am shallow but tending towards full on bottom, so it didn't work for me.
I think it would work best for a shallow but fuller on top shape. Typical of Fauve, the wires are fairly wide and also quite firm. I think the cup runs a little large, and the band is on the looser side for a 30.
This is a beautiful bra! It's very well constructed, and it feels like it won't stretch and wear out anytime soon. The fabric is very stiff and a little scratchy. I could probably get used to it, but sadly the bra didn't quite fit me. I have a lot of centre fullness, and this bra seems to want breasts that are fuller more on the sides. I also felt that I should go up a cup size, as my nipples kept threatening to pop out the top of the cup.
This is an absolutely stunning bra that unfortunately runs quite large. I'd say it fits more like a 28FF than a 30E. The band runs tight, as it doesn't have much stretch to it. The quality of this bra is superb, and it's quite luxurious looking. I spent a whole day trying to figure out how I could stuff it enough to make it work. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. The matching panties to this set are also gorgeous, but too big for me sadly. The straps on this are quite thick, but fully adjustable. Like the band, they don't have much stretch. Oh how I wish Fauve was still around!
I'd say this bra does allow centre fullness and immediate projection. It's stunning and verry good quality!! So sad it doesn't really fit me! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I love this beige/black colour combo and the light padding. Cups are not too tall, no arm shafing there. Band is the comfy strong mesh on this one, not too tight, but I can still wear it on the loosest hook Elegant wide straps - lovely detailing there. This bra does not offer enough side support for me and is a tiny bit small on my bigger side. Having a full cup size difference between my two breasts doesn't help. I would like a narrower cup with a firmer construction, I think.
Chloe balcony is classy, luxurious, yet quite tough and sturdy in the elegant sense. Fauve doesn't generally do tight bands, which is true here as well - on skinny days I need to go for the middle hook. Pretty hard wires that need breaking in. It lifts and gives a centered shape, but not as round as Cleo does - natural lifted teardrops. Love, love, love the shape it creates under clothes. That said, the embroidery is a bit bumpy, shows under thin blouses. All great, just the hard wires need getting used to and/or breaking in. This bra gives me the shape my breasts had when I was about 18 - jeeeeaaaaahh!
This bra is beautifully made and fits my shallow heavy-on-bottom breasts really well! The main issue I'm having with the 30E is that the wire doesn't actually extend the entire length of the wire channel--there's a full inch between the end of the wire and the end of the fabric. This makes the wire extremely uncomfortable on the sides if the wire isn't pushed all the way to the armpits, or uncomfortable in the middle if the wire isn't pushed all the way to the inside. I'm not sure if this is just a problem with the single bra I received or a general problem with this model.
Fauve bras are just too loose/stretchy for me. I really wish they made 28 band because the ones I have tried in this brand are amazingly comfortable and quite beautiful. I kept a 30E - Fauve » Delphine Padded Half Cup Bra (0381) for those days when I need a bit looser fit, but I am sad to be sending this one back. It is lovely and so very soft. The cups are wide and have a flattening effect on me, but technically I would say the bra fits.
I would say this fits currently on the middle hook. I guess Fauve bands run big, so a 28 band would be better for me. They aren't making Fauve any longer, so I guess is doesn't much matter! This is a really gorgeous bra. I will keep it and just use middle and inside hooks.
Yes, I'm really sad I had to return it. It's beautiful.
