So I'm getting the tiniest bit of quadding only on my right boob but this is otherwise a really good fit, I think. The band is pretty comfortable, feeling just the littlest bit tight, and I'm so excited to have a cakes-on-a-plate bra that I would be tempted to keep this even if it didn't work as well as it does.
One small issue is that I feel like it splays my boobs a little? Ideally it would be pushing them forward more. There's a pretty substantial gap between them in this bra.
ETA: ahh, I see Fauve is Fantasie, which makes me nervous because I have a loooong history of liking how Fantasie fits in the dressing room well enough to buy them, and then only later finding that they're too shallow and wide (initially they'll contain my tissue fine, but during the day they tend to migrate as my boobs struggle to find more depth in the cups). So I will keep the tags on until I can give this a proper test drive on Sunday to make sure it's _really_ a good fit.
ETA2: I didn't even have to do the Sunday test. I tried it on again after getting home and spotted the wrinkling in the bottom/sides of the cups. ALAS. I will be sending this one on to a better home! Read more 134 more words

It was my first experience with Fauve, so I wasn't sure what to expect! I might try more in bigger cup sizes if I can find any, just because the band felt so perfect!
It's a Fantasie brand which in my admittedly limited experience with them means shallow and wide. I think this cup is a bit deeper than some of the others I've tried in this shape, but that doesn't make it projected!
It is easy to see why Fauve is beloved: the fabrics are exceptional. They are not soft like Anna Pardal, but seem more robust and tolerant of wear and tear. The green has hints of blue and contrasts well with the black embroidery. Despite the pattern, the texture is smooth and is it is not visible under most garments.
The band is both supportive and stretchy. Because I often prefer 28-29" bands, I expected to find this band unsupportive. Although I do use the tightest hook, this 30" band feels wonderful.
Because the straps are half adjustable, I used a Strap Saver to provide the lift I needed. Surprisingly, the depth and width work very well. I thought shortening the straps would be a perfect remedy. However, when the straps are short enough (thanks Strap Saver), the cup cuts into my underarm. And, the gore remains too wide for my very close set breasts. Oh the challenges of the close set, petite bra seeker. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
What to say about Fauve? Lovely and typically impractical--in this case, somewhat itchy and too shallow at the wire for me. It's now also too small. I wore the hell out of it when it fit, though, shallowness be damned. Beautiful cakes on a plate cleavage. Now it's straight-up flat and quaddy.
The band is quite loose, even for Fauve/Freya. It stretches easily to 33". The wires are rather soft, too.
I have mixed feelings about this bra. Material is beautiful but not very soft. I had to take off my 65K - Comexim ยป Scarlet Biustonosz (291) in order to try this one on, and the contrast in the softness of material was rather sharp. I'd have expected better from a brand like Fauve, even if I bargained this bra on eBay.
The band is one of the loosest 30 I have ever tried, even looser than Freya. The gore is way too wide for my breasts (all non-plunge non-Polish gores are), but for some reason it doesn't really ...bother me in this bra. I think the looseness of the band helps the too-wide gore not to press too hard on the breast tissue it rests on.
The textured straps are sturdy and fully adjustable. Wires are a little too wide but not unbearably so. Cup volume is sufficient, and the cup shape is pointy - but it's the cute and retro type of pointy, not the annoying silly pointy, so I don't mind.
I'm debating on whether to keep this bra. The only real reason to do so is its unquestionable beauty. Hmmm.
Similar shape to my Freya Ivy, but nicer materials. Great lace details on the straps and band. Cups are too deep and strangely empty on the sides, though the sheer part of the cup cuts into my center fullness. Would be better for breasts that are FOB and more widely spaced. Very beautiful bra!
This bra is gorgeous! I bought it on sale at Intimacy a while ago, and I didn't wear it long before my band shrunk to a 28. I find now that my cup size has gone up due to tissue migration, so it doesn't fit me anymore, sadly. It gives good lift and good separation (not too much), and it's soft. The details on the cup are lovely and not scratchy like I was expecting. It feels very nice on. Another winner from Fauve!
I bought this a while ago because it's so pretty. It's a gorgeous color with lovely details. After learning about tissue migration, it no longer fits me and I've got some quadboob going on. It's too pretty to part with though, so it's going into my 'too pretty to get rid of' drawer with other ill-fitting bras. I'll use it as lingerie, but it's not good for daily wear. Like all Fauve bras I've encountered, this one is top notch quality. I would recommend it to anyone-provided you are in the right size!
I like this bra very much. It is comfortable and discrete under most things. The problems I have with it are mostly to do with fit, because I found out after purchase that I am probably either a 30GG or a 28H, but despite this fact it is still one of my best bras. The seams are visible through a lot of shirts, but much better than many of my other bras.
Band length: 61.4cm Cup width: 14.3cm Cup depth: 26.7cm Wire length: 26.9cm Cup separation: 2.0cm Strap width: 1.9cm
Quality: 5/5 Comfort: 4/5 Appearance: 4/5 (less 1-star because in incorrect size which looks less appealing!)
Emmanuelle in "Latte" is part of Fauve's core line. Together the ivory/tan colors work well and may one day convince me to own this combination for its simple sophistication and because it's more tasteful than a plain ivory.
It's been quite a while since I last tried Fauve and I am still stunned by the exquisite materials. The band was nice and firm, straps well adjustable, cups filled. However, this is still Fantasie and Freya's sister so the cup shaping is quite familiar. I ...will say that while the still somewhat 'natural' shape is not my preferred look underneath clothing it does fit very well and feels supportive overall. Eveden just doesn't work as well for me here in the soft cup bras but they have my heart in the Half Cups* and Padded wonder of Deco & Co.!
*BTW, I'm in love/lust with the Padded Half Cup version of this bra and look forward to the upcoming Black/Blue version for AW13.
