I desperately needed a good bra for tanks and t's. This one works for low cut tanks, is really comfy, and adds a little back fat smoothing. Best of all, I found it on Amazon for $14.39.
Thanks, fgb, the wide straps and teeny are really good for me. I will probably get the black if I have anything left after Xmas.
Low gore :-) :-) Looks great!! Off to check Amazon :-)
I knew you had a low, narrow gore requirement, so I am not surprised at your comment.. This one gives a cool profile and shows some cleavage under deep V's.
An underwired t-shirt bra that doesn't show under tight shirts, fits comfortably and comes in nude so I can wear it with lighter clothes? This is it.
Usually bras' gores dig in fiercely on me and I know that the underwires are there, just... present all the time. With this one I had to feel to make sure this wasn't a wireless, it's that comfortable. The cups are molded and lightly padded, with the wires running through 3/4 of the cup. It definitely contours and lifts! The band is made of very thin material, and feels like a slightly thicker version of Calvin Klein's Perfectly Fit.
Like I ...expected, the band runs a size small like most Felina bras so the 32 fit perfectly on me. But - there is always a but - the straps are so, so far apart. If I extend my arms forward enough the straps will threaten to flip over. The wings are also pretty dang tall, and the cups maybe a touch wide... But does it negate the absolute comfort? Nah. I'm still keeping it. I should be fine wearing this with regular daily activity. Read more 84 more words
Another relic from a 'time capsule' packed away around 2010. Unclear if I used this style a lot or not, there's multiples of it and the tags are very cheap so its difficult to make anything out on them. Going to presume this was sufficient somewhere along the way until I found or cobbled together something better to slum about in. Mind that means this could've been a remarkably capable style as these were all unaltered and clearly washed enough to break in the mesh as well as fade the tags (some completely). Maybe retired due to breastfeeding, or moving from more public career to more ...physically active one. Who knows.
Despite there being nothing visually wrong, when handling this style I'm filled with a visceral disgust at these slender powernet bands which cannot be fully understood or explained. The strap placement is fantastic, the armscye beautifully low and curved. Even the gore is a modest affair for the depth provided. Embroidered lace is not lumpy or itchy, and cup structure is pretty decent, appears to be immediately and overall well (not super) projected. The upper band isn't stretchy but they have very narrow felty elastic sewn into the top- unclear is this is just an open upper cup with 1 concession toward bottom full shapes? But being completely unlined, there's only so much one can expect with this style.
On the whole it's far too small and flimsy to have done much besides provide evenly full boob space, and distracting boob decoration (look ma, no nips!). Maybe I put up with it as something to wear under 40 layers of sheer diaphanous silk as was my want at that time in life, and never noticed when it was out of sight (unlike la perla, chantelle & betsey johnson). Gore sits flat. Lace is pretty and comfortable. No itch issues. band stretches for comfort. Boobs rest nicely in the cups. Just a joy to look at and wear.
First of all, the fabric on this bra is soo soft and silky. However, it feels like they are trying to do some kind of weird shapewear thing with it. The wing is REALLY tall, almost like it is trying to be back-smoothing. Also, the cup has a wire channel that runs almost all the way up to the strap, but you can't really tell where it ends because it is all constructed under a seamless interior, which makes for a thicker bra with more padding. That padding under my arms was kind of annoying - and it was under my arms because yet again, the Felina cup is very wide and the straps are very wide-set (though this one was less wide set than others I've tried on).
This bra is so incredibly soft inside. The material on the straps is luxurious and the inside of the cups and the fabric on the underwire is smooth against the skin and ribcage. The cups are a nude color with a gorgeous mesh overlay which is embroidered with a black floral pattern. Very sophisticated and beautiful!! It is lightly padded for modesty and a lovely round shape, without adding bulk. I am so saddened that it doesn't fit me because I truly love everything about it.
Goodbye Old Friend! You did your best to provide daily support these past four years and we've had some good times and some bad. Who knew you were two cup sizes too small and two band sizes too big? Awaiting my new, appropriately sized friends and a future with less back, neck and arm pain and headaches, I am humming a little ABBA tune:
"Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong You're enchained by your own sorrow In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow How I hate to see you like this There is no way you can deny it I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet... Chiquitita, you and I ...know How the heartaches come and they go and the scars they're leaving You'll be dancing once again and the pain will end You will have no time for grieving."

I am 46 years old, 5'2" and short-torsoed with quite a petite frame under the flab, and there are a number of things I really, really LOVE about this bra: - It gives a nice shape under clothes, even heavier sweaters and sweatshirts that mash down soft-cup bras. - It shows no lines under thin t-shirts. - It is completely smooth inside -- no irritating seams! - The wires are short so it doesn't poke under the arms or at the top of the gore. - The strap connects to the cup slightly toward the center, giving good support of the whole breast like a full cup without showing in scoop necklines, and staying put on narrower shoulders. - The partial band and very short gore of this plunge style means very little bulk under the breasts to pinch into short women's tummies or flip up when pinched against the ribs while sitting. - Despite the plunge style, the satin band along the top edge provides good containment of center fullness -- even for super-super-soft ,crepey breast tissue that normally falls out of half cups, demis and balconettes. You won't fall out even if you lean over.
There are a few minuses: - The band is VERY soft and stretchy with no vertical reinforcing seams, so it doesn't provide strong support compared to many bras. I would rate this bra an "Excellent" in comfort, except for my suspicion that it is behind my chronic neck and arm pain (though to be fair, the lack of support could be simply because I was wearing a 34 rather than a 28 or 30 inch band). - The wires are quite rigid, like Panache wires and can cause pressure points if you have a raised rib in the wrong spot. - It may not come in a small enough size for petite women. After the bra calculator revealed I need a 28 to 30 inch band, rather than a 34, I have ordered their smallest band -- 32 -- and a Rixie Clip to see if I can find a way to get the support I need from this otherwise amazing bra!
Regarding quality: the pictured bra has been worn almost daily (in rotation with three others in different colors) for the past five years. They've all held up great. Read more 401 more words
This would be a better fit for a 34E. I tried it on and removed the tag, but then I swooped and scooped and oops! It's too small in the cups for me! Very pretty pink Cheetah print and stretchy mesh top. Three hook band, too.
This is one of the bras True & Co recommended for me, before I discovered Bratabase and /r/abrathatfits--it's a 32DDD and I am now wearing a 30GG! So I cannot really comment on fit, since the cups are way too small for me.
But the quality seems good--the fabric is really soft. The straps are fun, but also thick enough to be supportive. The cups themselves are basically seamless--the seams on the cup are mostly decorative. So I think this may be on the shallow side?
This bra has cups that would fit more like a 32DDD/F. My boobs are full on bottom and I didn't fill out the top at all, it would be better for full-on-top breasts. Has a shorter gore in the middle and digs in a bit on me. The fabric of the bra is really soft and silky feeling, band has quite a bit of stretch to it.
New with tags! Bought on sale and couldn't return.
I have been buying this bra over and over since '01 or '02 and it has always been a perfect fit, even as my size changed. It manages to have just the right balance of firm, practical construction (3 hook band, high center gore) without sacrificing sexytime appeal (lots of top boob exposed, thin lace and fabric). I've never had a problem with the cups two layers of fabric puckering and I love that there is no boning in the wings. The straps are set a little wide for me, but that's a problem I have with most balconettes. It's not an everyday bra for me because I work 10-12 hour hospital shifts, but I imagine it would be if I worked a 9-5. I really love that the cups are set in such a way that my breasts are pushed to the front and out of the way of my arms.
This bra is very comfortable and really helps with wide root breast issues, especially with supporting breasts in the armpit area with the mesh side support panels. Though, I do have a bit of spillage on the inner side of my breasts. I also have an issue with nipples falling out of the bra when on my period, as of late. The straps don't go short enough for me, but that is an issue I have with most bras, and isn't a very big deal. It is a great option for smaller chested people to get a bra that has side support, and is very comfortable.
I got this bra from another user and the style number doesn't match this listing. The one I got was number 130577. I has vertical seems and is satin purple with lace. Very pretty.
This bra is really beautiful and is exactly what I was looking for in a T-shirt bra, but I think the cups are a bit too big. They gape along the top edge of the cup. Simultaneously, the gore doesn't lie flat against my sternum, though, so I think this may also be an issue of the cups being set too far apart for me.
I've never really been interested in wireless/soft cup bras before, but perhaps I've just been browsing too many bra websites and started to wonder how they would fit. Since I have a small band size, it's really hard to find bralettes or soft cup bras that fit, since usually anything that fits my band size snugly will completely smush the breasts. I hate sports bras for this reason. However, I saw this one randomly at Nordstrom Rack in the bralette section and decided to give it a try, and I am happy that I did!
The main factors that drew me to this bra was the ...presence of a hook back (I despise pullover styles) and removable cup padding. I thought this could be a good comfortable bra to wear around the neighborhood on casual days when the weather gets cooler, since you don't always have to put on a structured bra to go outside, but the unlined bralettes I tend to wear at home don't give enough coverage or shape to go out in public. It's made of the same knit nylon/spandex that a lot of one piece knit sports bras are made of, so it feels a bit warm and woolly, but I am not planning to wear this during the summer anyway.
Felina provides a helpful guide on the tag to help you determine your correct size. Size S is listed as suitable for sizes 32A-D as well as 34A-C, and I have to agree with this. While the measurements don't show much cup depth, I feel pretty confident that it could certainly fit the upper end of the size range (32D/34C), since it fits me at 30D and would stretch further. I'd also agree with the band size, since it can be hooked on the tightest hook to sit almost flat on my 27" ribcage, but it feels totally loose. Given how stretchy the fabrication is, I think this would definitely stretch to fit within a 32-34 band size. It may also work for larger 30 band sizes, but to the extent that it wouldn't ride up. I doubt it would feel supportive on a 30 frame, but sometimes comfort is all you're looking for, and we don't need that much support all the time when it comes to this type of bra.
The sizing recommendation is given as thus: S: 32A-D, 34 A-C M: 34D-DD, 36A-D (this is truly odd since it insinuates that it only fits a 2 cup range in a 34 but a 4 cup range in a 36? L: 36DD, 38A-D (same as above, what?) XL: 38DD, 40C-D (this makes more sense to me as the band to cup ratio seems to be maintained)
I tried this on under clothing and was pleased to see that it really looks like wearing a normal underwire t-shirt bra. The plunge shape also helps it work well under clothing as it doesn't come up too high at the center chest. I like that the straps are also nice and wide, and although it's not fully adjustable, I had no problems with it.
I plan to alter this bra's band to give myself a more secure fit, but overall I am very pleased with this wireless bra! Now, if I could only find one that's actually designed for a 28DD/30D . . . Read more 455 more words
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.
This band on this bra is ridiculously too tight for me. I can fasten it, but it is distorting the wires and flattening the cup a little, thus my whole fit is off. This is not a true 32 band in my opinion. I hate the metal detail on the straps too, looks super bulky with this style of bra which is more delicate and lacey.
I'm surprised you are getting some cutting in (I think?) at the cup edge, all the Felinas I have tried are really deep! Does this one run differently? I find the bands crazy tight in most models as well--for one I needed a 34 band and I am now less than 28" underbust.
The band runs tight and probably will need an extender at first. The cups push everything out to the sides, so from the top, they look squashed in center and not round at all. Cup height is too tall for me as well, even though width is good. Not enough initial projection. Stitching and embroidery looks cheap. Final sale, so I'm stuck with it. I might end up frankening it.
I no longer have this bra (haven't had it for many years,) but I did add it to my bra log so I figured I'd add the data here.
Additional measurements:
The cup depth entered (14") was the max cup depth as measured by stretching over the knee. The flat cup depth (measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure in the cup without any resistance) was 11.5".
It looks really nice on you. Very pretty shape.
