  1. Dina Underwire Sports Bra

    Hasn't set fit

Bought for teen, and was very excited because wow wide soft plush straps, a racer back attachment for small shoulders, super soft fabrics, a great breathable layer strong stretch mesh that can accommodate size fluctuations, 3 wideset hooks! and the most awesome plunge underwire shaping I've seen! What a fabulous gore-less beauty of engineering.

In BASIC BLACK, a dream of a daily bra for all imaginable purposes and occasions- surely this was THE ONE!

Well we might have gotten ahead of ourselves. being all spoiled by Panache's sports bras at this point. My child returned after a week of trying to understand what Dina had in ... mind and came back humbled, "yeah so I have no idea what happened, here I uh, well hmm. oof"

Dina's cups are 7" tall at the upper seam, and 8.5" at the neckline seam along edge.
Dina's cups are 8.5" from the gore wire to the top of the wire at wing.
Both cups measured together gives a Uniboob pocket of 17" inches width.
This gives us approximately the same volume and depth as we get in a 30DD. I know, because I'm holding an d old unused cleo 30DD in my hand for reference, and a gorsenia of the same volume (32D eu sizing).. and they have more space than Dina. WHERE HOW WHAT WHY

THE OTHER 3 SIZES. 1.5" OTHER CUP VOLUME. WHERE ARE THEY.

    WHY.

    WHY IS THIS.

    WHAT. WHERE!?

    H O W how ///how/// is.. . this... real?

Wait a sec, you say? Back Up. UniBoob Pocket you might be asking?

Yes, Dina can accommodate approximately 3.5" tall internal breast height, by 5.5 breast width, up to 5" cup height... in a 30FF. a certified size THIRTY EFF EFF. Yes, I tend to agree. 'EFF' truly sums up this experience.

    For you see:

This bra has a *massive* lack of available space for a full 1.7" above the wire. Just pure band but built into the cup. Thankfully Dina's cups will not strangle breast at the gore because there's no wire to anchor the fabric tightly across it. Freedom blessed freedom from stabbing, shoving, chaffing. Just space for breasts to point directly at one another in a horizontal heap of flattened flesh staring straight at each other with the same confusion this bra caused us trying to understand why it's an impossible fit.
    Hence... UniBooB Pocketâ„¢

Ehm, uh, in other words. There's a very large, flat, tight, solid vertical WALL OF SUPERTIGHT FABRIC stretched taut across lower outer wire, through center and almost to the gore, and prevents any part of a breast fat or skin from ever coming remotely near said wire. What is even the point of this I cannot begin to fathom. Should someone of 30DD sizing get ahold of this 30FF they're going to have an exciting time watching Dina scoot down their chest away from their breasts because of it's bizarre UniBoob Pocket design.

The only remote possibility is that Dina was made with a particular need in mind- exceptionally soft, highly compressible tissue, or breasts that are so completely, indisputably, fully separated from a chest wall by many multiple inches lacking any support whatsoever, and attach only by thin skin alone that perhaps wouldn't mind the skin being smushed while any uncrushable portion of a breast is lifted into the sternum and secured as a UniBoob.

Because ain't NO WAY this double layer of barely stretchy mesh about to allow for anything over a 30DD to fit into it's svelte embrace.

Oh man I miss the wild times we had trying to make Gorsenia's Anya fit.

Back to nostalgically reflecting on whether we could actually achieve pulling on each bra cup, like a pair of socks.

Not as far as to recoiling in horror as we had from the trauma of the concave-cupped Bravissimo Inspire and it's duckbilled buffonery.

I'm glad the Trials and Tribulations are bringing life to the masses. It's so stressful out here. This entire saga of trying to stuff not only my own set of doublewide halfheight honkers into anything at, but now my offsprings... well frankly it has me feeling insane. Why no woman in my entire gene pool warned me what was to come is a mystery. And while i don't wish to disparage any model of bra it's abundantly clear many are made of nothing but lies for most of us.

    Didn't fit

I have this bra in both pink and purple. I like the colors https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> As expected though, these bras didn't fit me. I have performed alterations on both of these bras, although I never really completed one of the bra's alterations, lol. The alterations I did won't affect the measurements though, because I only shortened the straps. Severely so. I'm very short(5 feet/152 cm tall).

I'm pretty sure the cups are too small for me. I didn't swoop and scoop properly when I tried these bras on the first times so really, I thought the cups were great for me. Now that I ... swoop and scoop the way you're supposed to, I get cleavage almost up to my collarbone and if you get cleavage in this bra it shouldn't really be visible anyway, because this bra is very high cut. This suggests to me that 32D isn't sufficiently big enough for me regarding cup size. Oh, and one big thing, I'd say this bra is petite-friendly if you alter the strap length, because the straps are very centered even on my small frame https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I almost always have problems with the straps being too far out so that they chafe my armpits but the straps are at least an inch closer to the neck in this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> AWESOME! It's a wireless bra but it still has defined cups(cup seams) and I'd say the cup width is neither wide nor narrow. It's somewhere in the middle and I think that's great because that means it would be compatible to most women. The lack of wires also means that if the cups are slightly too narrow it won't hurt your breast tissue anyway, because there wouldn't be anything hard pressing on it. One thing I really like about this bra is the band! Most bands are uncomfortable whether they are too big or perfect because the band construction simply isn't constructed the way I would have wanted it to be. I love the band construction on this one! It doesn't rely on the elastic strips at the edges to anchor the bra to your body, it is equally as firm in the band on the edges AND the main part of the band - the middle. It is such a comfortable band! And that really says something because the band is actually too big for me but it isn't quite as noticeable because the band construction is good. It is firm all over as opposed to semi-firm in the middle and ultra-firm at the edges. How do bra manufacturers think generally, really? That's the most common construction and it's so painful compared to this one! The way this band is constructed is the best one in my opinion not only in terms of comfort, but apperance. It definitely is much more smooth and you won't get those dreadful lumps in the back. I have to hook this bra on the tightest hook straight away and it rides up so it is too big for me, yet it feels a ton more supportive than bras that are tighter due to the construction! I think if I were to alter the band on this bra to an appropriate length for my body, it would be the ultimate band, seriously! When I get some spare time I think I will and then I will update this review also https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I haven't had the chance to try this bra on for high impact exercise because it hasn't been supportive enough due to the straps being too long, the band being too big and the cups being too small, but I will get back to you if I alter it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Even so, if it wouldn't be suitable for high impact exercise like running, I'd still recommend it because it really contains your bust and it would be great for weight training and training that's not as vigorous. It's a very comfortable bra. VERY. I think this is the kinda bra that you would forget you're wearing because the band is awesome and the straps are padded.

See my other review, it feels kinda unnecessary having two reviews about exactly the same bra in the exact same size. Oh, I could mention though that there's no fit differences between the two colors, I'd say the sizing is consistent. I have both bras in 32D.
