    Hasn't set fit

I took a gamble buying these on eBay from a person who sells deadstock (so old, but unworn) bras. This is a suspension-style bullet bra. It relies on a cradle of stiff fabric to lift the breast rather than an underwire. It doesn't fit anything like a modern 32FF. I'm not sure what modern size it's comparable to but the band is definitely more like a 28; it stretches at the maximum to about 29 inches. The bands on these are not made with stretchy materials, they're a very firm fabric that only stretches a few inches (I wonder if this is where the idea of adding 4 ... to get band size came from). It was difficult to measure the cups since there's this fabric cradle around them and there's no wire. I tried to measure the inner part of the cup where the breast actually goes. The width of that was about 5.5 and about 7.5-8inches deep, and deepest in the center where the nipple goes, assumedly to give that bullet shape. It's a pretty vintage style and a cool part of lingerie history, but I would love to pass this onto someone who can wear it! I've listed this one as well as the longline version https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    • ugg, tags not working?

    • Yes, I noticed. I thought it might just be a temporary glitch, which is why I did not repost ...

That is where the +4 method came from. Since modern bras are made from stretch fabric, there's no need to add 4 inches anymore.

Firstly, its a small fit. I had to use bra extenders to get it on.I found the lace on the cups itchy and the fabric straps have no give. Having said all that it gives a fabulous pointed bullet bra look under tops and jumpers which is the reason I bought it. I might change the straps to stretchy to make it more comfortable.

    Didn't fit

I got this bra from another user and the measurements are quite different than I expected. Sadly it doens't fit because of it.
It's a nice vintage bra. Still new, but old stock.
Tight band, would feel tighter on someone who actually fills in the cups.
Super deep, projected cups. Very bullet bra-ish, pointy shaped cups.
The bust circumference says 36", but my bust is 36", and it's a different type of depth, like I'm shallow and this is projected, if that makes sense.
Could be used as a nursing bra.
