I requested a size 32G bra for Christmas, not realising that I'd need to differentiate between UK and US sizing, so I ended up with a bra that is quite a bit too small in the cups. I'm not quite sure how this bra would fit in the proper sizing but the top seam is too tight (thanks a lot center fullness!), which pulls that edge of the strap to dig into my shoulders.
The wires are slightly wider than my breast crease, but that may be helpful to contain the migrated tissue I have under my arm. The wire height is great as I have a short torso and high set breasts and it doesn't dig in to my arm pits at all. The fabric is soft and smooth and there is light padding at the clasp, which is quite comfortable. There is a very slight lace edge to the top of the bra that I find uncomfortable but that may be just because the top is too tight.
In my quest to find the perfect (or a decent) beige t-shirt bra, I decided to try this on (on a whim, hope and prayer) at Dillards. I say that because this is a US32H bra. I am a size 30GG in UK brands, or a size 30J/32I US. To my surprise, this fit well. I have a bit of quadding on top, but the lift it gives is awesome! The fabric is very soft. It is a lovely shade of beige. And, lo and behold, 3 hooks...yeah!!
Another surprise to me is how tight the band is for a 32. It is tighter than my tightest 30-band in any other brand/style. That being said, the tightness combined with the 3 hooks makes me feel very supported. If this came in one or 2-cups larger, I would purchase more. I tried the US34H, but sadly the band was too big and it didn't add enough cup volume for me.
I deliberately bought this in a sister size two band sizes too big, thinking I might alter the band so I could have a mega-plunge strapless bra. However, it was so wonky in all fit areas that I doubted it would ever support properly. Plus I don't know how to sew. The expense of having someone alter the many rows of hooks and eyes was daunting. Plus the quality didn't seem worth the effort. So I returned it.
I also wanted to have a Bratabase entry for this brand. I think this may have been the first Fine Lines entry, so at least I captured the measurements.
This bra is genuinely amazing besides one unfortunate downfall. My breasts are close, so unfortunately the gore is too separated and too high for me, which is a real shame because this bra is so comfortable in every other way. The fabric is incredibly soft and the memory foam makes my breasts feel like they’re resting in clouds, not to mention this bra is incredibly supportive. If the gore was over lapped and shorter, I’m sure this bra would have been perfect for me.
This bra is AMAZING if it fits. I've lost a lot of weight and unfortunately it doesn't quite fit anymore. For as big and heavy as my boobs are/were, this strapless actually held them up!!
I may have some quadboob, as I usually wear a 30GG UK, and this is US sizing, but it works for a cleavage bra! Still very comfortable, and the plain black color makes it great for specific shirts. I also have this bra in nude, and it fits great as well.
The separation of the cups is about a half-centimeter too wide. It's very nearly perfect, though.
These two bras were absolutely perfect at first, but unfortunately there is too much stretch for longevity. I've had them around a month, and they're no longer tight enough for me. They would probably work for someone with a slightly larger underbust, though.
The straps don't detach at the front, but they do at the back, and there are two slots on each side, so it's easy to alter position if you need. The straps have a bit of padding to them, about as thick as on the cups, and it reaches just over ...my shoulders. Comfy.
I love the feel of the cloth, and I love the memory foam, and I love the fact that there are very few seams. I really like molded cups, which means these are great, and I don't like feeling stitching against my skin; it always seems to itch. They are quite plain looking, but I do like them. They don't look old-lady-ish, just simple.
These both feel and look fantastic, BUT the band stretches too much for me. Read more 79 more words
Pros: -Good support for a stapless -really soft, looks good under clothes -4 hooks -removable straps -doesn't slide down, has rubbery edges on band
Cons: -wires not wide enough -problem with little elastic strings coming out in the band -band looks stretched out in a spot -straps irritate near armpit -secondary wire on side bent in on the bottom, pokes side a lot
The memory foam makes for stiffer cups than some other brands/styles, although they don't feel particularly stiff on. The center gore is not perfectly flat on me, but pretty darn close. There is a slightly utilitarian feel to this bra: comfortable, serviceable, but not particularly sexy.
not the prettiest bra but so far it's comfortable, seamless under close fitting tops and doesn't show under white tops. The tops of the cups show a little if wearing a singlet top and the straps are ugly, so this is a good every day bra for cooler months but I'll be getting something prettier to with lower necklines and strappy tops.
