Okay. I've had this bra for a few months now and I'm just giving up. The cups fit fine up front but the cup is too wide. The wires dig in painfully after about an hour and no amount of adjustment seems to help. The straps refuse to relax just enough to make them comfortable. I should have just returned this from the start and never kept it.
Curvy Kate/Flirtelle: Your bras are so pretty but you just don't fit me and cause nothing but pain. It can't and won't ever be. Have a nice life.
This is my new favourite bra. It feels like wearing nothing, and that's not a hyperbole--yet my breasts are lifted and rounded. Super comfortable, and pretty in a subtle way.
I'm a little in between sizes, I've concluded, or just FOB, so I tend to have issues with upper cup wrinkles (while a 28D is usually too small). I get a little wrinkling here but it's not bad. The wires are also a little farther/wider than where my breasts start (they fit best in more U-shaped wires), but that doesn't at all affect comfort for me, so I don't mind.
I have this in the white version with blue flowers. I'd say the cups run flexible to a little big -- a bit like Cleo Marcie. The lace is soft and pretty, feels very smooth against the skin, and it's stretchy in the middle. Its shape reminds me a lot of Marcie too, but it's more closed on top and is obviously in the Curvy Kate family. Unlike most CK bras, the wires are narrow. I think that people who Cleo Bella Balconnet Bra (7001) works for will find success with this bra, but be sure to go a size down from your typical size.
I love this bra! I don't quite fill the top of the cups because of my full on bottom shape, but otherwise it fits great! The band is snug on my 29" ribcage but not too tight. The gore does dig a tiny bit into my sternum but only after wearing for a very long time and because I have a very bony sternum. It's one of the most comfy bras I own.
I want to love this bra, I just can't get the gore to be comfortable. The wires must just hit me wrong--I have bras with wider and/or higher gores that fit comfortably. I don't have a lot of padding on my ribs, and this just stabs me and leaves welts after a few hours.
Supposedly, this is supposed to be a Balconette bra, ideal for my shape boob... whilst the bottom of the cup & most of the cup is filled on top on one side, you can clearly see I'm no where close with my other side!
Dear Snakecharmer, you got shallow boobs. Bras that work well on boobs like yours are padded halfcups like the Cleo Juna and related cuts.
I think the Flirtelle Dahlia is too deep in the cup in the cup for you, this is why it wrinkles. I also think the wires might be too narrow, in this case you might be dealing with the additional complication of an Orange-in-a-glass: you boobs cannot get between the wires of the bra, thus they cannot fill the cup.
If you want an unpadded bra, try the Cleo Lucy. Panache Harmony Balconette (if you can still find it on ebay) might also work as well as some bras by Change. Essentially you need bras that are shallow in the cup with wide wires. The Flirtelle Dahlia is neither.
Did you try adding a cookie to your smaller boob? You should always fit the larger breast, since this bra fits your larger breast you can just put a cookie in the bottom of the smaller breast to assist you with filling up the bra.
