I'm positive this bra is THE bra whenever you get it in your correct size. I've tried both this one and the Panache one without any real success. I'm a shorty( 5" feet tall/152 cm tall) so the straps are far too long on the Panache one, a bit better when clipped to racerback but still too long. The Freya one is a little better for me, a little shorter straps. It's easier to alter these if needed than the Panache bra's straps, since they're already shorter. That's why I'm aiming to try this one in another size instead of trying the Panache in another size. I have ...a hunch Freya will be an averall better fit for me.
The awesome thing about this bra is the fact that it's actually FULLY intended for sports. No flimsy shitty materials that won't actually work, just so that you can look extra pretty in the gym. Of course I'd like a stunning sports bra, but let's face it, performance comes first in a sports bra and the bra market hasn't really come that far yet( extremely supportive + fab look). I'm a little apprehensive putting this on in the locker room, it's not exactly as cute as the tops my classmates are using. Pink crop tops that look really neat... Oh how I wish I could have this Freya bra with just some alterations x) Vertical lines that would banish the pointy shape and make it super-round and extra supportive and a flimsy little overlay that wicks away sweat and makes the bra appear seamless. I can't be the only one with that smart little idea! To put a thin overlay over so the seams will "dissapear". I wish I could be the designer haha. This bra would be THE bra if my wishes would come true x)
Oh well... Back to reality. This bra is clearly too small for me. I'll have to try a bigger size to determine whether or not it'll work for me, but I think it will! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
It has a very firm band, which is positive for me! Many of the 28-band bras I buy are too big for me anyway. I think I'm a 26" maybe. Idk. Read more 268 more words
Saw this bra for 7 bucks (secondhand but with the tags) and thought "Why not?". It's pretty darn comfy, I see why everyone talks about the pointy shape tho.
The band is loose for me but that's because I'm a 26 band, just thought it'd be tighter, it's snug enough on the second last set of hooks. I'll probably reduce the band length with time. Quite wide wires but I guess it's okay. The material feels great, I feel well encapsulated and secure. I plan on wearing it as an everyday bra, even though it's a bit pointy. Allows for projection, sits right under my breasts. Surprisingly fits me well, there's only a tinyyyy spot where it doesn't stick to my breast, the one with a slightly different distribution of tissue but it's basically perfect.
BraOdyssey 7 eur, yep. The bra was 3.5 and shipping was 3.5. It's crazy how cheap they're willing to sell bras on secondhand websites (and they're usually new with the tag!) here, honestly. Yay me!
It looks like a great fit, and what a bargain! FWIW, the wires don't look too wide in the pictures.
sorry meant to add that it has great separation for a sports bra.
pros: - found on Amazon for $15! - I wanted a bullet bra but didn't want to pay What Katie Did prices for a good one. These cups are bullet bra style (one horizontal seam across each cup) with wireless sports bra-style internal hoist. - 4 columns of hooks for when it stretches out. - regular back fastening. Racerbacks don't fit over my shoulders. (Honestly, I have no idea how people even get them on.)
cons: - the band passed the 2 finger test but is still very tight. This was expected, and it will certainly loosen up with wear so it's not a dealbreaker, but at this point I couldn't wear it to ...work without deep regrets. - the quality doesn't seem the best -- loose threads (in nonessential areas at least), wavery stitching in the elastic, etc. It wasn't marked as a factory second but I've had really mixed luck with Freya in terms of quality. OTOH, 75% off.
shrug: - the straps fit, technically, but they're tightened as far as they'll go. If they stretch, I'll have to snip and stitch.
my bust: projected, fob, splayed, short breasts with wide roots on a very petite frame. Ribs are currently ~27 inches. I could have probably sister-sized up to a 30D in this bra with no trouble (but that one wasn't on sale). Read more 107 more words
I have shallow conical breasts. I was initially concerned about the band of this bra because I read that it was very firm and read to size up in the band on many sites (including this one). However, I was pleased I did not size up because it fits me very comfortably and securely! However, I am on the smaller side of 28 (27" ribcage), so it may be more snug on a true 28. The cup fits my larger breast pretty much perfectly, but wrinkles a lot on my smaller side (as expected). I plan to wear a nylon bra insert on that side to even them out. This bra does give a torpedo look, as others have pointed out (haha), but I don't mind it as I have pointy breasts anyways and can embrace my shape. I also like the V-neck cut. The color is vibrant, the material is soft and comfortable, and I can't wait to show this off at the gym!
It's very supportive, but it's not the right size for me. The cups are a little too small and the band is definitely too small - I used a bra band extender to make it fit. The band is really unflexible and difficult to put on. But it is super supportive so I use the extender and it works well enough.
Previous to having this bra I had always had cheap too big compression bras from wherever.
Even though I'm not big my boobs still jiggle and lurch enough during rigorous activities enough for them to be painful. This bra totally stops them from moving. I'm in awe. I never thought this possible.
On top of all that I don't have uniboob! Profile is a tad like flattened pancake for each boob but the shape is still far better than uniboob. Band is very firm, not firm enough for me to size up as I find it doesn't interfere with breathing, but some may want to size up in the band.
Now ...I have grown a cup size and a bit since purchasing this bra. Technically this bra is too small now in the cup. However, due to the width of the cups being quite wide the underwire still doesn't sit on top of breast tissue. Also since I don't wear this bra for long I don't really see it hurting anything in that short of a time period. I will continue to use this bra. Read more 74 more words
