I tried this bra on but I am not willing to wear it. The shape is horribly pointy. Reminds me too much of Madonna's rocket bra.
Support wise, it was too small for me so it did not provide any support what so ever, I hopped a couple of times and did not feel the support from the bra.
VERY supportive. The band is very snug (in a good way- but if you're between band sizes, I recommend you round up instead of down for this one) and the cups are very full coverage. I tried jumping up and down in it as soon as it came in the mail and my breasts barely bounced!
As many reviewers have mentioned on various sites, it is a bit pointy. It's kind of a retro silhouette, but I still feel comfortable about the shape it gives me.
There is a little problem with wrinkling at the bottom of the cups, but it's very minor and barely visible. It doesn't seem to ...effect the support at all.
For people who are short like me, you should be aware that the straps don't tighten as far as might be ideal. I tightened them in all the way to see if it would help with the aforementioned wrinkling, and they didn't go quite far enough. (I wouldn't want to wear it fully tightened anyway- too much strain on the shoulders- but once it stretches it might become a problem.)
The biggest problem I have with this bra is that the underwire doesn't lie flat on the sternum, but I think that might be intentional, as with many sports bras. It doesn't poke my chest or look strange, though. And there is definitely no quadraboobing!
All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase and I think it'll really help me step up my exercise routine!
Update as of February, 2013: I sent the bra back a couple days after I posted this. The problems I noticed just got bigger, and I found after I wore it for a while that the side support dug into my ribs painfully- all of the weight of my boobs was concentrated in the bottom front and sides of the band instead of all around the band. I think I needed a cup size up, but they don't make it in 30HH. Read more 219 more words
The band is very tight. Order at least a size up from your normal Freya band size. I measure 28.5 inches/72cm around my underbust and I can barely close the bra on the loosest hooks.
The cups on the other hand run small. I have an Arabella in 30GG that's a little big in the cup and this 30H is still slightly too small. On the other hand, there are 4 by 4 sets of hooks.
It feels supportive but there is still some jiggling. It's fine for elliptical/treadmill though.
The shape is very pointy, but that's ok for a sports bra. The pointiness is somewhat reduced when you wear a shirt over it.
Unlike "regular" Freya bras, the band on this is NOT AT ALL stretchy! I couldn't even fasten it! I find that in general the 30 inch band Freyas are stretchy and perhaps some are even too big for me (at 30.5 underbust). Not so with this... There's maybe an inch and a half or two gap, even with struggling to fasten the hooks.
So all my sizing comments are guesses...
It provides a very pointy, triangular shape. But I can't really say much about it because I couldn't get it on!
I know other women like it, as it does reduce bouncing. And they also note the very pointy appearance. I may try it in a 32G.
Great sports bra (used to fit, I've gone down a few sizes over the years). I found out I don't like underwired sports bras so I never wore this bra much. Would be a good sports bra for a 30H
This bra worked for me but I got it too big. At the time I was a 30GG and now I'm a 30FF. The band is snug. This bra has not been used many times as it was too big in the cup, but I did wear it occasionally for light workouts. I personally am not a fan of underwired sports bra.
The bra is very sturdy and supportive. Only problem is that the wires are too wide for me so there's empty space in the cup under my armpits. I'll try wearing it for a while and see if it works, I guess it could have been better suited for wider roots.
The band is - on my bra at least - is not tight at all. I normally wear a 32, I have a 30.
Being loose with too long of straps - the bra doesn't do anything to kill the bounce. It's fine for sitting in, but the seams show. I bounce out when running. Sigh.
The underwires were just too wide for the band. the cup width takes up 2/3 of the total band length. When I first got it it was completely unwearable until I figured out to bend the underwires into a more human shape than triangle. The underwire is very stiff so I never managed to really get it bent enough. The band is too large for me so my boobs fall into the gore. I can't exercise comfortably in it at all.
