Had opportunity to try on the Red version in a store so I knew to order 1-band size smaller + 1-cup size larger as this band was just a bit loose in my regular Freya 30.
Incredible design! I'm less a frilly girl but they flatter in just the right amount and are positioned nicely. Cups are perfect fit, band is quite nice & snug, I'm assuming it may stretch some after a season of swimming. (Have yet to test it out!) Halter neck is tie-back so adjustable for cleavage.
Excellent buy and a timeless piece of swimwear. Highly recommended if you have any remote interest in it, go for it! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I wish this were a better fit. I'm mostly even projected, but slightly full on top. This seems like a better swim top for someone who is full on bottom.
The material is wonderfully soft and the design is very nice. I like the look of this a lot, but the fit isn't good on me at all.
The gore digs directly into my sternum (very very uncomfortable on me) unless I move the band down so low that the wires are an inch lower than they should be. Probably mostly because it is a halter top, nothing fits quite where it should on me.
I wish the random gold detail on the straps was fixed rather than mobile, as it slides around a lot when you're putting it on.
Thanks for the review! I'm sorry the shape did not work out for you. Would you say the cups and band were true to size otherwise?
renemy I would say the band was true to size. It's a little difficult to say on the cup volume, but it is probably close to true to size. I couldn't fill the bottom and was overflowing on top - but that goes back to the shape issue again, rather than the cup volume.
Thanks! I am FoB so I think it might work for me :D
I have an older Freya swim top that fit well, so I was hopeful this top would be great but unfortunately it has a very awkward fit. The cups are very wide set, and pull my breasts way out to the side. The wires themselves are also rather wide. This top doesn't really offer any uplift, but feels like it is smooshing my breasts down and out. Quite odd all in all.
Love this one! Of the three I tried on, I went with this one. I like the color and the fit is excellent with just enough support (I always want more support, but there's enough in this one). I like the details.
Really cute swim top. Fit me well without any problems. I tried this one along with two others and chose the Marine Blue version of this (doesn't come with the bow). I found I preferred the blue to black (looked more like a swim top) and I didn't care for the bow on this one.
I really like this one. The ruffle along the top helps to ease concern over quadboobing (even though that's generally unlikely as the cups are a good fit for my shape) with this swim top. I like that the straps are adjustable in shape and length. I kind of wish the band did that as well.
I really have no complaints about this one except that due to my slightly askew sternum, the gore hits at an uncomfortable point. And I suppose it could be slightly more supportive - but I'm picky there.
If my sternum weren't a problem with the gore, I'd keep it and wear it!
The cups turned out to be too big for me, so I can't tell a lot about this bra. I bought it because I really liked the color and it seemed very simple and stylish. The bra is comfortable and soft, the band fits well, the wires don't poke.
As I dreaded, I really am more of a GG than a G, so I had a mild amount of quadraboob, enough to warrant sizing up. More surprisingly, the 28 band was so tight (and the clasp so odd) that I spun it around in order to clasp it! Once on, it was comfortable, so it's not like the CK bras where the band is obviously too tight. In all, I'm pleased that the band is so firm and tight; I have found the opposite to be the case with newer Freya day bras.
The good: Tight band, smooth cups, boyfriend thinks it gives enough coverage, and I don't feel boobily exposed. The bad: Wires are too narrow by a bit, slight quadraboob, overall signs of too-small cups.
I will probably be selling this bra (new, tags-on) for ~$30 if anyone is interested. It'll be listed when I have time and can take photos.
