Amazon Prime Wardrobe: Swimsuit Edition! (Where I order bras/bikinis available on Amazon Prime Wardrobe to try on and add more data to Bratabase!) My shape: FOB, projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders
Out of the 5 Prime Wardrobe suits I tried, this one fit me the best. That's not to say it FIT, but it is one I would suffer with if absolutely necessary.
Firstly, these cups are TALL. They look so large upon first glance. It's like a super full coverage style suit. The wires aren't as narrow as I like, and the cups have no seams at all. It's a molded, padded cup with the stretchy suit fabric on top. ...There's some ruching along the gore. The fabric itself is cute; I think it's supposed to be like a wild animal print? It looks more like tiny black pebbles to me.
The cups are super minimizing too, which isn't really a look I prefer. I'm so used to my projected, in your face Polish styles! Instead of hiding my girls, I feel like they look so much better uplifted and projected. This bikini, though it fits me, doesn't give me the style or look that I like. It sorta pushes my soft tissue down and to the sides, instead of out and up. Read more 102 more words
I can't tell if this is too big or too small for me. It's clearly loose and gapping in the upper/outer part of the cup, but I'm getting center-quadding along the edge of the cup, proving that a plunge style isn't always the solution to center fullness.
I'm no expert, but it looks too wide in the gore which seems to confuse the volume issue. The cups are just in the wrong place, and it doesn't seem to be providing much support. Frustrating.
I tried on this model last year, and also had a very weird fit--I think the cups are super wide set, and with the elastic edging it will create quadding unless it is very full coverage. Its too bad the design isn't better...
You are both absolutely right! It's too wide for me. Thankfully, I got this in the same shipment as a Fantasie Gathered Full Cup in the same size (32G) which fits a whole lot better.
Hurrah! I think it's actually very helpful to work on recognizing what's too problematic to fix. I'm glad there was something that works from the start!
This top is very pretty, and I'm sure would be lovely if I could fit into it. However, the band is sooooo tight! Even stretched it is only 31 inches... so I'm not sure how it can be considered a 32? The cups are a nice shape and may fit if I could get it on, but as it is I don't really know. I'm sad because the suit is nice looking and well made.
I find this an ok bikini top. It is not extremely supportive, and I hope the halter style will not start digging into my neck with longer wear (I've had this problem with other bikinis). It does look cute on, but I would have preferred a slightly thicker material, to push my boobs up and to the center a bit more. I bought this mostly because of the matching bottom (60ies style briefs with a little frill), which looks absolutely awesome on me!
When I bought this, I had to get one cup size higher than my usual size. Though, now I do wear a 32G and the swimsuit top still fits. It covers very well and I do not need to worry about falling out or anything. It is very comfortable and the band fits perfectly. It is lucky that the band fits perfectly, though, because it is not adjustable.
Fits wonderfully in the cups but I look a bit obscene (and strangely like a football player) in a bikini top. Great profile under a shirt, but the too bold pattern was visible under my t-shirts, so sadly had to return.
I wore this swimsuit for one season and now it's too big, but I still wear it. It's the best swimsuit I've ever had! It dries fast, looks classy, and makes me feel like a bombshell.
I was really excited about this one and was a bit let down. It's difficult to get into, there is a hook and eye closure for the bra portion but it is inside the actual suit. The closure does little for support, I feel no difference between the third or first hook. Trying to get out of this one will require being dry I think, and probably sober so I don't poke my eyes out on the gore. While it feels and looks great on, I doubt I'll be buying another freya tankini top. Also, the bottoms on these are rather skimpy.
I really like this swim top because it gives me support while being comfortable. The cups are a bit generous, and I feel like I could've gotten away with a size smaller. However, the back doesn't adjust at all, so I'm a bit worried that after a season of use, I might have stretched this out to the point of having to move the back clasp. I guess time will tell.
This bra is great! I wish it were a tiny bit looser in the band but other then that it is perfecto! At first I was worried because the G cup seemed loose but after scooping and swooping more aggressively then usual I managed to fill it out. The gore initially really poked and hurt, but I just bent the wires a bit and now it is totally fine.
This bra gives a very nice shape, but I definitely notice the softness of my boobs when I'm wearing it, maybe because I've got a tiny bit of extra room.
I wish the band would stretch a little more, it is the only bad thing I noticed after prolonged wearing.
Very cute Bikini top. The band is a little tight, but not too tight to wear (though it might give me a bit of back fat). The cups are a little small, when in properly there's a bit of quadboob and the gore doesn't tack. However, it's a bathing suit so it doesn't have to be perfect. I'll see about switching it out for a different size but no big deal if I don't.
I love this bikini so much. It's super sexy and cute without being too revealing or frilly or loud. The bottoms fit me wonderfully, but unfortunately I got the top years ago, while I was still searching for my size (and my boobs have grown a bit since.) The band is too big and the cups a bit too small for me (though the fabric does expand slightly in water.)
The back doesn't have multiple rows of hooks- there's just one sort of buckle thing, so it's not adjustable. I recommend going for your true back size in this bra, no more!
The quality and support are great though. If ...you want a bikini that you can wear for some real swimming and still look great sunning yourself on the beach, this is definitely up your alley https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
My only complaint is that the strap detail sometimes pokes in the armpit, but I have quite narrow shoulders, so it really does rest on top of my armpit- it might fit better on someone with broader shoulders.
The bad is that the band is just a strip of power net, so there's no way to adjust it. The 32 is too big around for me, and so the suit itself doesn't offer much support. I can hike it up a certain amount by adjusting the ties, but it would be much more comfortable with an actual bra band, and tends to sag (excuse the poor cell phone photos, but I thought they'd be helpful. Note the one looking down into the cups - that's the view if the band is at all too large). And if ...I went down a size, I don't know how I'd get it on - as it is, it's a bit of a struggle. Which leads to my other concern...
The model photos suggest a bit more ease around the middle than what I experienced. I've found that that the middle runs fairly tight. If I bought it in a 30GG (or even an H), I don't see A: how I'd get it on or B: how I'd be able to breathe.
It's an adorable suit, and I know it works for some, but I won't buy another swimsuit without a proper bra band.
