I am a huge fan of this swimsuit. I bought it to replace my 30H - Freya Swim » Superstar Banded Halter Bikini Top (3151) , which I foolishly put in a washing machine. The mesh held up surprisingly well, but there were a couple of small holes in it, so I was nervous about swimming with it in rougher waters. Do NOT put this swimsuit through a washing machine!
I like this band a lot better than the 30. I could never wear a 28 if this were a real bra, but since its band only has one setting and the swimsuit material is quite stretchy, ... this is a really comfortable fit on me. It is definitely not a technical proper fit, but for a swimsuit, all I need is a firm band and a cup size within 2 volumes of my real one. The gore is low, and tacks very nicely, and the cup is wide. The width is on the outer sides of the cups, though, not at the center. This means that I look awesome in this swimsuit because it's not very full-coverage.
A wide cup with inflexible wires would be a curse for my narrow boobs, but with this swimsuit and the soft Freya wires I love, it's a blessing. If I scoop and swoop properly, the nipples of my FOB boobs end up in the mesh section. However, the width of the cups means I can tuck my boobs further in for safekeeping. This swimsuit is unlined, so I want to add padding to the opaque parts of the cup for more nipple coverage in cold water. The mesh section is less big and extreme than it was in the 30H version. This means less areola showthrough, but mine are totally still visible. I don't care, because they're brown, just like me.
This top passes extreme terrestrial jump tests, and it also worked well for me in pretty intense ocean waves. For once, I was worrying about my bottoms while being totally unconcerned with my bikini top.
