My shape: average to narrow root width; tall, shallow roots above the nips; projected below the nips; soft breast tissue; possibly conical.
How this bra fits - this bra is a sister cut to the Freya Fearne balcony plunge, so I knew it was going to work for me. The wires are moderately narrow, the cups are deep and accommodate my projection well. Most importantly, the fabric of the upper lace section is forgiving, which means it works with my tall roots - doesn't cut it, but does provide support for my breasts from above, which really helps my soft tissue get into a decent shape. I need something ... lifting up and something pushing down!!
The band is big for me, but I knew that when I bought the bra. In Freya I usually go for a 28 band. This one was on sale very cheap though, so I bought it anyway. I don't need to re-swoop and scoop as much as I thought I would with a too-big band though, so I am overall happy with the fit (my soft tissue prefers wire that do not budge!).
The bra is also very pretty. The floral pattern is feminine, but the blue and yellow and red colours against the black and the sporty design on the lace section give it some edge. It's just 'girly' enough for my tastes. The bows have the same colourway as the lace section - a bright blue and black - which really pulls the whole thing together. I really love the look of this bra. It's just so damn cool! (I did remove the bows from the straps tho, I thought they were overkill/I usually prefer a minimalist look. The gore bow sufficed! But this bra is cool so I bought it with all its jazziness. And I may attach the extra bows to some plain black underwear to help me match, haha!).
Anyway. I love this bra.
