My shape: mid-height, front-facing, very close-set teardrop with tall shallow roots, max immediate projection, wide Nike swoosh roots with loads of side fullness, and very firm self-supporting tissue.

This is one of two I bought on sale at Figleaves; the other is my 30FF - Freya » Candid Longline Bra (5044) . Both are likely to be returned because neither is quite right and I don't need to keep them hanging around if I'll never really wear them. The print is pretty enough and I like how colorful it is on the true-white background - off-whites always make me look muddled.

First of all, the cups are padded ... with the same foam lining everyone knows and loves from the Patsy and other clones. The black mesh trim is not edging a separate cup panel and is only on the printed overlay. The fit is just a little off for me in tiny ways: for one, which will certainly make some ladies happy, there is a bit more center fullness than I need, likely caused by the inner vertical seam being closer to the gore than with the Patsy. It also closes a bit quickly there, like the seam has its own apex, and causes a slight pucker on me that is very much like the one I got from the 28G - Freya » Kiyoko Padded Half Cup Bra (1883) - this one is easier to see in the photos because it doesn't have a mesh overlay. There looks to be a teensy bit more projection along the outer seam than I need as well, which might be the intended apex for more east-west going Zaxes? but I certainly don't line up with it (thankfully, since cup seams and I are usually enemies, though these feel fine) and instead fall right in the center panel. It feels typically shallow at the wire, but I didn't wear it long enough for it to ride down. The top edge of the cup fits well enough, although I do quad a bit when I throw my shoulders back, and given where the wire sits on my outer tissue, I think the 28G would be better.

The wires are too steeply curved, always a complaint for me but not usually a comfort or wearability problem. In this case it is, though, because they aren't wide enough otherwise and are sitting on tissue the whole way around. They are firmer than I'm used to, too, which might be a concern for some.

The band is great! The 28 is perfect. I love longlines, even though the front edge always flips up when I lounge around or slouch. It only has 2 columns of 6 hooks, though, which is typical of Freya longlines. Hey, Freya! We want more hooks! Give us more hooks!

The straps are gorgeous, by the way. Still too wide-set, they aren't as bad as some, and they're fully adjustable. Plus they're wider than usual, and they are a beautiful white sateen stripe edged with black seams and rows of white scalloped elastic. Teeny black satin ribbon bows are the accents, which are not too over-the-top and still cute.

Back it goes! Maybe they'll have the 28G back in stock by now.
