Not as soft as the idol fabric. The band fabric is a little scratchy, and the molded cups don't hold their shape as well as the idol. The cups on this one tend to get dips in them that are almost noticeable through some shirt fabrics. The dark grey with pink lace color is very pretty.

I ordered this one in the wrong size (usually need 28F). Since it is small in the cup and a molded bra (I'm very projected which tends to not mix with molded styles), there is some light compression and gentle quadding going on at the top and sides, but it's not actually unwearable or acutely painful. It does produce a more minimized or shallow shape for me, and I can imagine that it would be uncomfortable to wear for hours. The gore tacks.
Overall, it's not a perfect fit, but that is to be expected since it is not my real size. I like the material and the cups are very comfortably smooth to touch.

I liked the appearance of this bra, and since I've never tried anything from Freya's Idol series, I figured this was worth a shot However, the main issue is that this bra is so molded into a round, full-coverage shape that the entire top of the bra was totally empty on me. Like Deco, these tall, full coverage cups are just not suitable at all for my shape.
The band if this bra is double lined mesh and knit jersey, and feels nice and firm. There is a standard leotard back and plain, medium width satin straps. However, since this isn't really a full band ... bra, it doesn't feel very secure on me. There is basically no elastic along the cradle, which I prefer for additional stability. The bra actually rolls inward, and the upper portion of the gore tacks, but the bottom is slightly floating. This is most likely because the cups are too big for me, so the cradle is not stabilized at all.
The shape of the cups is entirely unsuitable for my shape, which is rather short with tall roots, and average to slightly shallow on top. I've never seen a bra with such a rounded shape, like a tennis ball cut in half. It's rounded, tall, and very closed off at the top. There's several inches of empty space at the top of the cup on me, though the wires fit me just fine. The wires are firm and rounded, with very little give.
I think the cup size definitely runs a cup large, and is also very deep and projected for its size range. This might be good for narrow, projected shapes with tall roots and lots of upper fullness. The cups are made from quite firm foam that will not stretch to fit your shape. You must fit this bra perfectly for it to work on you.
The fabric of this bra is matte dark heather charcoal grey, trimmed with floral pink lace at the cradle, and adorned with a small pink ribbon and silver ball charm at the gore. The bra has a sweet and sporty appearance, which I quite like. It is reminiscent of some Victoria's Secret bras, but I think the quality is much sturdier. This could be a good bra for someone, but it is far from a forgiving fit. This is a great everyday bra option if Freya Idol is a good fit for you.

This was my first time trying the foam lined balcony cup from Freya. I ordered a cup size smaller based on the reviews on HerRoom, but I probably should've stuck with my usual size. I don't find this cup to be generous. It's just taller than a plunge, and since I have a tall root, a G would've been just fine.
The band is tighter than any other Freya bra I've tried, and the straps are pretty thin so they can feel like they dig in a little. I'm not happy with the quality of this bra. I bought it last fall and have worn it maybe 5 times. ... I always wash my bras in the machine because I like clean clothes. My other bras from Freya hold up very well to this abuse, but this one has lint fuzz all over the cup trim. And in general the cups are stiff, all the edges and trim on this are stiff... This could be the reason why it's not as stretchy as a typical Freya. But it's not a comfortable bra. I do like the contrasting yellow lace against the light gray. It's a good step away from Freya's bubblegum look.

This is another fail in my never-ending quest to find a t-shirt bra that fits. I love how this bra looks. The lightly gray and soft yellow lace accents are so pretty (and a nice alternative from a boring nude.) When I bought this bra online, I didn't realize that it was the same model as the Idol - which I had tried in 30E, 30F, 28F and 28FF - with no success. The band for the Freya is quite firm and the bra is very smooth in appearance. It disappears under a t-shirt, unlike the Deco which always seems to leave visible lines. Like the Freya Idol, I find this style a little too wide and shallow for me (quadding at the top, emptiness at the bottom). I am quite FOT and projected, so buying this bra may have been wishful thinking on my part. I love the look and the quality, but sadly this one is not for me. The quest continues.

UK brand t-shirt bras have never worked for me, which I had an easier time accepting when I was 25lbs heavier and bigger busted and really insanely projected for my size range, but it's kinda ridiculous now that I am in the 30F/32E range. I think they design their smooth molded cups to be too "flattening" in order to force a true round shape (no discernible apex at all) so for people who are especially center heavy and/or projected at the apex of the breast it just ends up not working. Are you in the USA or Canada? If you can find a place online or in store that sells a lot of Wacoal and Natori foam molded (unpadded) designs, some of them actually have really fantastic depth at the apex and are not super wide. You just have to investigate the different designs. Usually the ones that are only slightly plungey or else just a good old full cup will have the most projected shape. They all look SO much alike it is a bit confusing at first but if you keep track of the model names or numbers it's easier to discern if you are looking at a new and different design or not.
They also run snug in the band so if you are a true 30 or even small 30/sometimes 38, their 30 bands should work quite well.
