XL is supposedly like up to 38HH. The band is crazy big for me who normally wear 34 bands ofc but I had to get the biggest size so I could "fit" the cups. Still on the smaller side in the cups. It doesn't give much lift or anything, and the straps are pretty thin. I only wore for short periods about 10 times in a year and it has now ripped open in the lace cup.
Like someone else said it had a weird shiny metal bow on the gore that shines through tops so I cut it off. if you find it and need a little ... lounge bra and actually fit into their sizing, sure give it a go.
Update: Now that I've tried another Freya bralette , the "wild" bralette, I will say that this one has more room in the "cups" than the Wild does, and while this has thin straps, at least they're adjustable so the band doesn't ride up like Wild does. However this one is poor quality since it ripped easily however that can also be because it's trying to support my heavy boobs and it's not supposed to do that https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />

Too bad about the low quality. Most of these letter-sized bralettes only fit up to a certain cup size. Since they assume XL is large size in both cup and band they can never fit small band / large cup. Curvy Kate makes bralettes up to JJ cup but they are not very supportive.
Which one I can recommend: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/zara-bralette-ln605/#black-ln605blk I just got one in 34HH/J will have to add here with info and pics.
