The cups are wide and shallow, as is often said of molded cup bras. I expected that going in. I also expected the band to stretch out quickly, which is why I bought a 28 band, not a 30. It quickly became large and stretchy, which is great since my looser underbust measurements are around 29 inches.

What I did NOT expect is there's an odd itchy quality to the back of the band on this bra, and the first couple times I wore it the hooks somehow managed to scrape and scoop out a bit of my back. There's still a bruise there. The itching is still a problem several wears and a couple washes later, but the hooks haven't tried to spoon me to death again.

In the future, I'd break in Decos by doing what I read someone else doing with some bra bands: wash it to get the starches/chemicals out, dry it, and clasp it around a pillow for a day or two. I'd rather not offer any more flesh sacrifices.

"...clasp it around a pillow for a day or two..."

I missed this suggestion the first time around. I'm going to try that on my insanely tight 65F Ewa Michalak Kleksik.

    • Have the same experience with that bra. Am going to try your "cure". ;-)

All I can say is THANK YOU FREYA FOR MAKING A 28GG DECO!!!! This bra is absolutely a gem for me. Like some of the gals out there who had been stuck right at the end of the size range for the Deco, I had been bouncing back between wearing a 28G and a 30G. Both had their fit issues. For me the 28G fit in the band, but the cup was too small and if I swoop and scooped properly it left me a bit exposed. When I wore the 30G the cup fit, but the band was too big causing the discomfort of a band riding up all day and it didn’t lift my breast like it should. This bra in size 28GG eliminates both those problems for me. The cup contains my entire breast while the band sits properly drastically improving the comfort level.

*For reference I measure 26 inches under the bust, 37.5-38 inches around the fullest part of the bust.

I ordered this based on my recommendations here but it was way too big. There was a huge gap at the top if my shoulders were not pulled straight back. At first I thought this may be because I am full on bottom, but the cups were also too wide on my sides. I will order it again two cup sizes smaller and hope that it will fit better.

    Overall assessment thus far:

    Seems very sturdy.
    Comfortable fabric
I like the molded cups however, I notice a bit of a line that forms at the top of the cup. I am not sure if this is simply because it is too big but I feel it may be noticeable under clothes.
Despite only have two clasps in the back it seems very supportive.
I am not narrow shouldered but I found that the straps were too wide for my comfort. I am hoping that this again will change with the smaller cup size.

Finally, a Deco I don't fall out of! This is a tad on the large side, but there is now so much spillage in my 28G version of this bra that it is often unwearable with certain clothing. There is a small gape where the cups meet the centre gore, but otherwise it is a really good fit for me. The band is a little more snug than my 28G version so I can wear it on the middle hooks. The band is very stretchy so think I will need to use the tightest hooks fairly soon.

On the whole, it is a really comfortable, practical bra ... which gives great shape. I find myself reaching for this on an almost daily basis.

For reference, I have very bottom-heavy, wide breasts, with a slightly swooping profile. My measurements are around 25-25.5" and 38".

edit - I am going to need to alter the band. It is incredibly stretchy and is now riding up on the tightest hooks! Some breast growth means I now fill the cups a little too much. Despite this the shape it creates is so brilliant that I just can't stop wearing it!

This bra is definitely a no for me, I have gapping at the top of the cup, wrinkling at the bottom (only on my smaller side) and a good three quarters of an inch of empty space on the sides. The gore is also too wide, but was semi comfortable for some reason. This bra would be great for someone who IS a 28GG and wants a bit of va-va-voom cleavage.

Gives really good uplift and fantastic shape. The band is stretchy however and wires could be narrower

This is probably my current favorite bra and pretty much all I wear now. It looks great under clothes, the round uplifted shape and smooth cups with no lines are perfect for me since I practically live in T-shirts. The band runs big and stretchy, but the 28GG felt comfortably snug once I washed it and broke it in a bit compared to my 30G that still feels too loose on the tightest hook. It’s very supportive on me in this size, I can jump up and down and barely even jiggle. The foam cups are a bit stiff at first but my soft tissue conforms to ... them nicely and they really soften up after a few washes.

I prefer this style over the Deco Vibe since the more closed top edge with the seam tends to cut in a bit if you’re more FOT. I’m wide set, wide rooted, and splayed so I basically never get cleavage even if I wear a size too small but this bra does give me a more front and center appearance instead of the usual East west thing I have going on. My boobs are like two sisters that don’t get along and stay on opposite sides of a shared bedroom, but somehow this bra brings them together enough that I almost get a cakes on a plate effect. Almost, not quite though. I might try taking in the band on my 32FF and 32G Deco vibes just to see how they compare with a better fitting band though, I do wish this one had a racer back option to see if that helps in my quest for decent cleavage.

I love that this a pretty plain, solid color bra since that’s exactly my style. The material is soft, silky, and there’s nothing too frilly going on except for three small bows on the straps and gore that are easy enough to remove. I could do without the scalloped trim at the bottom since sometimes it folds under and bothers me, but that’s really my biggest complaint besides wishing they made a 28H since my larger side is prone to quadding during hormonal fluctuations. I’ve tried taking in the band on a 30GG but it’s a bit too tall for my short roots at that size.

As long as Freya continues making this bra I’ll have several on rotation for daily wear. It’s comfortable for most of the day and looks so nice under a shirt that I haven’t felt the need to try anything else after I struck out on so many other styles before finding this one.

I've owned a lot of Decos but I like that the newer models come with the piping/additional strip of fabric along the top of the cup. It's an improvement on the design making the cup less open at the top but also reinforcing the cup shape so that there continues to be a smooth line along the top of the cup. The older models had a tendency to become misshapen and slouch within a few wears. Not a huge problem in the older models, but a nice improvement, nonetheless. On the other hand, while benefiting shapes like me, this design change may not benefit breast shapes that are ... clearly full on top and may cut compared to the older model design. The straps on this bra are like no other Freya Deco I own. They have ridges and ripples to prevent the adjuster from slipping. It's unnecessary for me, but some users may prefer it. I like soft smooth straps. The gore doesn't lie completely flat for me, but that's a combination of me having much center fullness as well as the band being a bit bigger than what would be a perfect length. Of course, this still fits better than all of my 30G Decos.
