This bra is so cute. I ordered it early in my bratabase explorations and before I really had good measurements or understood my shape at all, or even that bra shape differed that much from one to the next!
The design is simple but well-made and very cute. I felt so flirty and young wearing it even though it didn't fit. I'm actually going to try my hand at narrowing the gore and moving the straps in to see if those changes will make it wearable. I picked it up on ebay for under $20 and have yet to acquire a fitting bra, and ... am hoping it can work in the mean time!
I'm learning my breasts are projected and the root is tall but not very wide. This bra expects there to be breast tissue extending far out to the side - so I think it would be a great fit for shallow, wide-rooted ladies. So besides the obvious sizing problems in that I realize now I need a smaller band and a larger cup - I think a 30HH would have been a better size in this bra for me, but I still don't think it would have fit. I have rather movable tissue these days and can try to make the bra fit by scooping into the cups but my breasts are center heavy/center full and close set, so they start to migrate towards the center and out of the cups. I can make this bra look like it fits for the length of time it takes to take a picture, but that's about it.
I'll try to update after I attempt alterations, but I'm not too optimistic. Final thoughts: cute style at a good price if you can find your size on ebay, but for me it wasn't a good fit and wasn't at all containing or supportive.
*Update: I did narrow the gore on this bra which makes the fit bearable, at least for a few hours at a time. I do like the the narrowed gore is narrow(er) from top to bottom. The typical ^ shape at the bottom of most gores doesn't really work for me; my alterations of bending wires and narrowing gore make the bra 'footprint' UU - which is basically what my boobs look like, so that's great. Unfortunately, the slightly shortened band that results from the narrowed gore isn't enough, the 32 band (shortened to 26", 31" stretched) is still too big even on the tightest hooks. The main problem with this bra for me was always that the cups aren't the right shape, I need more immediate and center projection than this allows and after about an hour wearing my immediate projection has pushed the wires down to dig into my ribs. I also tend to fall out into the center because I need more room there, and then have weird empty space where the cups spread under my arms. I have to reverse swoop and scoop to get it to look right and it feels so sacrilegious! Plus it's not like they stay that way, tucked to the sides into the shallow, yet overly tall, cups of this bra. I wish there were ways to indicate via measurements whether a bra has immediate (or anytime) projection, but if there is a way to tell purely from the measurements we take here, I haven't figured it out yet!
