I've experienced this painful gore situation, too. Even when the wires were overlapped from top to bottom at the gore and bent away with pliers, it still hurt. I added an extender and then had insignificant support. Hmm...
I have similar experience not only with Pulse, but basically every Arabella-like cut. Darcy, Lyla, each and every one. It's just because their construction don't really work with my body. The gore is too high, wires too narrow. I TRY not to buy new ones XD but this colour version is exactly my favourite colour combo, so I had to buy it. I also got neon lime bra, bralette and briefs. If they made a longline I would have bought it, too. XD
BTW, with this cut it really helps me to take one cup size bigger, one band size smaller - thanks to "wire-wrapping" it makes the cups wider and more shallow. I can wear it for a day, but I try not to wear it day after day, but change to some more comfy bra.
Quite see through, but it’s attractive. Makes a rounded shape.

I found this bra on sale randomly and thought I'd try it. There wasn't much info on it in this size, but supposedly it's the same cut as Arabella and Ooh La La, so I checked the measurements and thought it might work. I wear Fancies in 28E and the cup measurements are a little larger than in other brands/styles, so it seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, this bra runs about a cup large and fits like a 28F, so it ended up being way too big. The cups are deeper than Arabella, Ooh La La, and Fancies, so I ended up not being able to ... fill the entire top cup at all.
A shame, since the band feels decent (no oversized Freya band here), and I liked the wider wires. The colorway I got is the black/blue, which is really pretty and unique as the blue is somewhere between navy and deep peacock. The cups are made of very lightweight diamond non-stretch mesh, and it's not as stiff as other Freya bras I've tried. The upper cup has a scalloped embroidery and a zigzag pattern (I suppose this is to tie into the "Pulse" name as it resembles a heartbeat). The center bow shares the same diamond texture as the cups, and the straps share the same scalloped edge as the upper cup. I appreciate Freya for making fully adjustable straps on many of their styles.
I think if Freya cuts tend to work for you, keeping your band size and sizing down at least one cup size would be the way to go.

This bra really highlights my assymmetry. But other than that it is a beautiful unlined supportive bra.

This bra is a little scratchy, but overall, it gives a great shape and is comfortable. It runs quite a bit larger in the cups. My measurements are 30:10, and I wear a 30FF in this style perfectly. My advice would be to go one to two cup sizes down.

ahhhhhhhhh, comfy.
These cups run tall and full, so size down in cup, probably the same as other same cut freya unlined bras. The wires are narrow enough which is a huge relief, and the tops give me no trouble in either direction. Filling the bottom with some wrinkling on small side on top. [fot, tall roots].
The purple with green is BRIGHT, While some love this color I'd prefer the black with blue.

So this is my second attempt at buying a Freya bra after only buying Curvy Kate for a few years. The first one was a 30HH plunge, but I know now that it was definitely a mistake to go by my usual CK size. I went one cup size down when I got this one, but it appears to still be slightly too big for me,
My biggest problem is actually the height of the cup and centre gore. I usually expect a plunge bra to sit quite low on my sternum, which is good for me, as I have close-set breasts. This one, however, sits really high. The ... gore is even higher than on all of my other bras, most of which are balconnets.
The cup height means that while my breasts fill the bottom of he cup, there appears to be a lot of loose fabric above them.
I found that the band fit best with the middle row of hooks clasped and it does stretch further than I expected for a 30 band, so I'd say it runs a bit large in that regard as well.

I feel like the problem you're experiencing has to do with the angle of the wires and how flexible they are. When the band pulls the wires back, it's pulling the gore into your chest. How is the band tension on you? Is it better with an extender?
