    Didn't fit

I'm writing this review during my second wearing of the bra, one hand wash in b/w wearings. This bra seems to fit a bit strangely, although it could just be my inexperience. When I first put it on, I get minor quadboobage but after an hour or two I get gaping along the top of the cups. They must stretch, I think. I don't really feel supported whilst wearing this bra. It seems to let my boobs slip to the sides rather more than I would like. The overall shape is not as rounded and centred as I would like. I'm pretty sure my boobs are too close together for most bras, so the fact that there is a little bit of digging in in the centre doesn't worry me and my wide-base is almost enclosed at the sides with comfort in that area not too bad, either. The fully adjustable straps are great but I do find they dig in across the front of my arms, probably because of my narrow shoulders.

This might not be the problem at all but when my band isn't snug enough I get that same problem of breasts slipping down and out and gaping appearing where there initially was fullness. If the fit of the bra is right your swoop and scoop should ideally stay through out the day. When you have swooped and scooped do you still feel like you fill out the bottom and outer sides of the cup or is there empty space? If there is the cups might be big for you or the shape of the cups not right. This is just a theory, if more experienced fitters say differently you should listen to them first.

    • actually i thought it looked like the band was slipping up in the back, too - are you sure its tight enough?

    • Hi there,
Thanks for commenting! Having only just commenced my quest for better fitting bras, my technique on fitting myself is not perfected. I think you are both right. I don't think the band is tight enough- actually, I suspect I might be a 30 rather than 32 b/c I could comfortably put all the 32 bands on the Middle hooks when I first got them and I was actually wearing this bra on the loosest hooks yesterday when I took the photos and did the review. If the band is loose I can see how that might result in tissue escaping and cups being a bit gapey, so that might well be a big part of the problem. I'll try wearing it on the tightest hooks next time and see if that helps. I don't think I will like the shape still, though, but we'll see ...

    • No, tightening it wont help with that, but it might help with the shifts between quadding and gapping. If you had a 30 band, the cup also might be narrower, which might help. But it sounds like its not really the right bra for you. Its amazing how the same bra can fit one person well and be supportive, and totally not work for another person. I have a bra size twin here who looks awful and saggy in my favorite bra!
