I bought this as I was told it had the same fit as Freya Deco, Crystal etc, however I found that it runs comparatively smaller in a 28G cup. I'm not sure if the velvet trim along the top might affect the amount of "give" in the cup, but I get a fair amount of overspill and creasing/folding over at the bottom of the cup. I don't wear this bra as it just doesn't look right.
I love the Freya Deco range and have worn this bra to death since I bought it as it was the first 28G I'd tried after realising that the 30FF's I was wearing were too loose in the back for me. The fit is great on me, aside from a tiny bit of quad boob on the slightly larger right side - but my assymetry is only marginal so in practical terms it really isn't an issue. After a LOT of wear (a couple of years) the band has finally started to perish and one wire has poked through but I have so few bras that actually fit me I still haven't managed to throw it out! I'm fairly firm busted as far as G cups go and I'm desperately seeking other relatively low-coverage plunge/half cup bras that suit my body type so that I can finally lay this one to rest.
Love this bra. I struggle to find bras that work on my fairly firm breasts and virtually all balconnettes give me a quad boob effect. The @Deco Flamingo gives great (but not over the top) cleavage, while still being supportive for every day wear. I do get a bit of a quad boob from my slightly larger breast but I think the GG would be a little on the big side. The band is very stretchy and after a few wears I needed to wear it on the tightest hook to feel secure. I like the top stitching on the cups as I think it makes the cups less likely to stretch with wear like some of my standard @Decos have. The print is pretty and fun, however it does show through tight fitting tops - really wish Freya made its @Deco shape in some pale colours (other than boring nude) that were suitable for wearing under tight fitting or light coloured clothes.
The one thing that I love the most about this bra are the straps. They aren't anything special but they are really comfortable. I also love how the cups feel and how they enclose my breasts.
I received this bra from another Bratabase user after my current 28FF was quad boobing and the gore was not lying flat. Unfortunately, this bigger size doesn't fit me very well. The cups are quite high and cut into my armpit, which is not something I usually have trouble with despite being 5'1. I also don't have enough top fullness to fill the cups so they gape. While this can be fixed by tightening the straps all the way, this causes red marks and pain on the shoulders. There is also severe wrinkling at the bottom of the cup so I would prefer more immediate projection. The wire width is also about an inch too wide, though this is made worse by the lack of projection which pushes down the bra. The band is nice and tight, though it had been altered by the previous owner https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
TL;DR - lacks immediate projection, very tall cups, recommend for FOT.
I really like the design of this bra - the geometrical mesh and the metalic details. However, the band is really tight and the cups are way to big. So i only tried it on before returning for exchange. I ordered a band up and a cupsize down - so a 30F. From what i gather, the cupshape is good, but more "natural" ie not as rounded as Cleo Alexa. I'm worried that the top of cup might dig into the breast tissue, but we'll see.
I had hoped this bra would fit like the Deco Plunge but it didn't.
Issues: The silicone on the band rubbed on me and was quite painful. The cups came too full coverage for my liking and no cleavage at all the wires came too high under my arms
Unfortunately I overestimated my size and so I have gapping in this. Shapewise, the bra is way too tall for me so not recommended for other ladies with short torsos. I get poked in the arm a lot. But I really love the shape that this bra creates under clothing! It gives a really rounded shape and very good lift. I wish that it fit me better.
amazing bra. this is my third deco. it just gives me a fantastic shape, and fits my body really well. it's fairly comfortable. I wear my deco(s) practically everyday. it's a good bra for fancy occasions, and also lies flat under a tee.
it's not a great period bra if you get really sore breasts during or before your period, as being lifted up and in when you're sore can hurt. (tbh, I like that it keeps my boobs in place when they are sore before my period, but putting it on and taking it off doesn't feel great.)
The first one I ever had (maybe 2 ...years ago?) had strap issues. The straps frayed badly, and nonstop. The second one hasn't had fraying at all in the months I've owned it. I'm hoping this one doesn't fray, and that the first was just a fluke. I've mentioned this issue in lingerie stores, and everyone was surprised and said it was unheard of.
The straps are not the comfiest material, but the cut of the bra is so good that I just suck it up.
If you wear a tank or a dress, or anything even remotely low cut, you can count on the deco to give you some great cleavage, especially if you S&S! wear something higher cut, and your boobs will look smaller because they are up and in. Awesome!
Though the thing on the side here says it doesn't fit me, I'd like to say that it does. At least it fits better than any other strapless I've ever tried. The band on this is SUPER tight (I'm usually a 30) but the 30 band was too loose (for a strapless), and with a strapless, I'd rather die the first few wears and get a long life out of it than start with one foot in the grave. It's definitely supportive. I find it to be a little shallow in the cup overall - it will sometimes crease in the sides and above the underwire after some settling. Despite being murderous on my ribcage right now, it's very comfortable. The 4-hook closure makes me feel very secure. It's also very smooth under clothing. I think this bra fits very differently than the Freya Deco (4234), as I cannot make that bra work for the life of me (and I've tried 6 different sizes!).
Pointy, pointy, pointy. This is my only 28 band Freya, and I was very surprised at how tightly it fit; I'm currently wearing a 30FF Freya on the tightest hook and it's still riding up. With the Lacey, I get some east-west action happening as well as quadboob. The upper section feels very tight as well, which surprised me as I've been operating under the assumption that I'm full on the bottom rather than top. I'm waiting for a bra extender to arrive, and hopefully that might make it at least wearable. I really want it to be as I ordered the brief (prematurely, obviously!) and I love the silky fabric and the bra's look.
Purchased this bra off of Braswap on reddit, and a pretty good choice for my first internet purchase. I only have a few issues with it that won't cause me to get rid of it - my breasts don't quite fill the top of the cup so it's a little bit wrinkled, and the lace along the top edge doesn't sit flush with the top of my breast. I believe that I'm more bottom-heavy, which causes these issues, but it doesn't affect the comfort so I'll probably hold on to this bra.
It doesn't poke me in the sides at all, and the center gore sits flush against my chest. I like how sheer it is, this is a very pretty bra!
This bra looks beautiful. It's a very soft lavender, with off white lace, giving it a vintage look. I'm a sucker for longlines, so I bought this in a 28G, when my usual size was a 30FF, to accomodate the center gore. I say "was", since my boobs have gone up a cup size or so in the last few weeks (breast migration maybe? I'm 33 so they won't grow anymore!). As with all Freya half cups/longlines, this bra has wider wires and shallower cups than their unpadded cousins.
I'm not sure if it's me, but the band of this particular bra doesn't seem as big as the other Freya's (since Freya's are notorious for big stretchy bands). It's nice and firm.
Anyway, this bra will be up for sale since it's a cup too small for me at the moment. Needless to say, I already have a 30G.
Description: a beige molded-plunge bra. Straps are fully adjustable, 2 hook-and-eye closure at back.
Pros: Hides great under clothes, supportive, great shape. Great "every-day" bra. Gives great cleavage and a great profile under clothes; nice projected look.
Cons: I have a Freya Deco 28G in black and there is something that I don't understand between the two...people warned me that the black Decos ran smaller (due to the black dye process "cinching" fabric and making it tighter all over), but the black Deco came into my life first and is a perfect fit on me. HOWEVER: the beige Deco I received (finally) this week? I'm freakin' quadding with my larger breast. Witchcraft!!
I don't have the time or patience to find a GG (I think I'm sized out after G's anyway), so I'm going to adjust myself as needed in this bra. I don't think anyone else has had this issue of a beige Deco running small. Hopefully this is just water weight and not a factory defect.
As I mentioned in my other Lacey review, I bought two of these, one NWT and this one, worn once and washed and sold on ebay, and this one fits much better. The other Lacey has numerous issues, but this fits perfectly! And it's cute, to boot. Couldn't be happier with it.
