Whoa I feel like I have been taken hostage by this bra. It's not my prefered shape (my boyfriend started singing "he's a sharpshooter when he saw me in it) or style (pasteles? no. plaid? only on kilts) but the darn thing is growing on me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Comfort and support are excelent. This type of cup fabric is new to me - it is very rigid with 0 stretch, but this is why it "holds it's grownd" brilliantly, I feel like there is no chance of this bra collapsing under me near the wires like many others have.
Band is a smidge tighter then your ...average freya. Supportive, no backfat. Straps are very wide and covered in some sort of swimwear material. I like it - they are extremly comfy.
The shape is, well, sharp. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> But it is much less east-west then other freyas I tried, it almost gives a cleo silhouette from the front. The top pannel is also a bit more forgiving in the center and the gore is also higher and more narrow then other Freyas. Honestly, if it wasn't for the pointy profile I would think I am dealing with a very high coverage (which I like!) cleo bra.
I think this one will find it's fans out there definitely https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 119 more words
This bra was very big on me. To give you an idea the cup has the capacity of a baseball cap. The band was also very large compared to other 30 band bras, it was bigger on the band than my Le Mystere 32F.
Overall this particular Freya model runs larger than expected I'd say about 1.5 size bigger than you'd expect.
Also, the bra looks much whiter on the pictures on the stores than the actual bra, I got the Ivory version.
------ Update Jul/2011
It-s been 5 months since I got this bra and is now too small. When I first tried it on last year it was definitely too big. About 5 months ago my 30Hs were a bit tight, and this bra now fitted me.
By now it is getting too small on the cups (center gore doesn't reach my sternum anymore).
I haven't had this bra long, but it's a bra that's like my favorite pairs of shoes: immediately comfortable. Comfortable for the entire duration of use, from early morning to late at night. No break in needed! It gives me a nice, round up-front shape; smooth under all shirts. The underwires are quite wide, perfect for my shape but not great if you're narrow-rooted and/or FOT. I do have an extender on the band and maybe could wear a 32H, but the cup here is a perfect fit and the 30 band feels otherwise perfectly placed to take the weight of my FOB, slightly pendulous breasts (center full-ish). The gore tacks and causes no pain. The cups contain all my tissue and side boob. The band stays put. I bought two more colors after one day of wearing because I've been searching for my right size for months. Not a 'sexy' bra but it's very sexy to have a comfortable, fitting, supportive bra so...
Just a perfect fit for me. The band feels the same in 30HH as it does in my Totally Tartan and Hello Dollie in 28J and Flourish in 28HH. Cups are pretty closed on top, but I'm really short-rooted, so that's not a problem. Boobs are resting in the cups in the most natural way and there is a wonderful amount of uplift at the same time. I feel perky and supported in it. Definitely love the bra!
This bra fits very well! I have deep breasts with a lot of projection, and I often have trouble finding bras with enough space at the bottom. This bra has some minimal folding over at the bottom, which goes away with adjusting. I also like the thick straps and wide band, although the straps on this bra are a bit wide-set for me! The wings are also a bit high. My biggest problem with this bra is the shape it gives. While some will like the swooped-up, almost pointy shape, I cannot stand it. This bra is also not very pretty (although granted, it is a beige, full-cup bra), and makes me feel much more matronly when I put it on (I'm only 17!) This bra is very comfortable, and some people will like the shape much more than I. However, it's not for me at all.
Well, this is something of an anonymous basic bra from Freya - good but not stellar. Pros: - pretty - okay to wear, supportive and comfortable - sturdy, no-stretch band (a big plus)
Cons: - somewhat zeppelin-like shape, not as bad as the Leona, but clearly not rounded - straps feel slippery, I've needed to adjust them twice a day - the bra fits me, but it still doesn't. Sounds crazy, I know, but it's so. Every point in the fit list checks out, but still I'm "aware" of the bra all the time, unlike my trusted Lacey, EM PL Onyks or Bravissimo Boudoir Beau that I put on and forget.
*** Edit: Okay, I admit. This bra grows on you. It seems to fit better now after a couple of washes, especially after I spent some quality time searching for the right strap adjustments. Once I found them, it's actually a very good bra.
Great fitting bra but for a little quad boob. Very good quality; pretty, but simple enough to wear invisibly under shirts. I plan to order in a larger size.
Sister-sized down from a 32H, which seemed to fit in the cups but was too big in the band. But now that the band fits and the cups are CLEARLY too big. I love this bra but I cannot get the size to work.
I failed to properly convert sizes and ending up with a very lovely bra, that doesn't fit me. The only issue for me was that the under wire is far too long, and there was more fabric in the cups than I needed. The band is perfect, just the right size (how nice does that feel?). I personally, prefer bands with more than two hooks. I feel like they hold me better. The fabric is sooo pretty. I'd almost want to Frankenstein it, buuuut it'd be a sin to cut into such a pretty thing.
This bra is rather cute, the print is pretty much adorable, had it not come out in the blue I would still love this colour way but as it happens I prefer the blue by a mile! The fit is now off on me, and I haven't had a lot of wear out of it so I'm pretty miffed but the band is rather snug and the gore doesn't sit quite right on me now. It hasn't stretched out due to lack of wear but I am sure after a lot of wear it will slacken a little, most freya bras do. I do feel the black lace is a little to harsh and slightly ruins the bra, the longline styles don't have the big bits of lace forming the top of the cups and I think that looks better, especially due to the fact that the double the layer in the GG and up making it even harsher.
I purchased this bra in 30G but have outgrown it. I loved the fit and sheerness. I ordered the 30HH because my ribs had gained an inch, but I find the wires are way too wide and the straps rub in my arm pits. The cups fit fine.
I've always loved the pollyanna, I used to own it in a 28G and I wore it to death, this one has become the same, the band has stretched a lot. It's very comfy, and I love the fabric it's soft and the print is subtle.
07.01.2013 i like this bra and i wear it quite often but i think its actually a cup size too big for me but its not that obvious (with a tshirt on). the band is snug but im normally a 30/32. the bra comes up quite high, its difficult to wear under tshirts (might be because its too big though)
12.03.2013 my boobs have grown and this bra now fits perfectly. it is actually my favourite bra atm, im wearing it on the second hook and its just unbelievably comfortable
Except the band was obviously too big. The straps were rather easy to adjust, but way too long for me.
I think the pattern of the cups is gorgeous and I love the colourway, but the straps and the fastening add too much purple to the bra for me. If you like purple, though, you will probably love the bra.
Second Kelly, bought strictly as a travel bra (wanted non-wired soft cup). Band was very snug until I washed it once and now it's relaxed a little. This band will be very stretchy, but it is marketed as a maternity bra. Yes, I really needed a 30H but couldn't find one.
good: pretty comfy, which is what I want for travel, especially long flights or delays. Gives some separation but less as the day wears on. Cute. I like the pink straps which won't be as obvious as white if they show, and I love the leopard print.
bad: droopy! Very droopy, downward pointing cups. Not sure if I ...will modify them since travel comfort and not fashion is the key here. Cup depth is 10 inches. I remeasured 3x because I couldn't believe a 30HH would be 10 inches where my 32G Fantasies are in the 11.5 range. Probably fits because it is 8" wide! Sides come up very high for my petite, short-waisted frame.
Since these bras are still available, although harder to find, I will say the band runs very large so get a much smaller band than expected and much larger cups.
This bra is an older Freya model and has a very firm band. The shape is the same as the Freya Antoinette. It gives a really nice round shape, and doesn't cut in, even though my boobs are full on top and Freya bras usually do cut in.
Before I bought this, I wore a size 34G/75G, but this was the only one left in sale so I tried it on anyway, and it fitted just perfectly! It really fits the shape of my boobs and feels very comfortable. It doesn't give very much cleavage though, but for daily wear i don't find that a problem. I do feel like it streched out a bit, but that's just fine, as it was very snug at first. Overall I am very pleased with this bra, I hope to add more colours to my collection.
