When I saw this bra on sale, I decided to give it a try. The Erin is a popular style that comes in many pretty floral prints. I really like this coral & white combo. The bra has the same cut as my 30K - Freya » Florri Balcony Bra (3102) and I think I should have tried it in 30K instead of 32J.
The band is rather stretchy and a bit generous for a 32 band, I could already close it on tightest setting. The cups are slightly too small. The wires have a good width for me at the sides. The cups have decent projection and I get no empty space on bottom. Overall the materials feel nice and soft but also a bit thin and flimsy. Support is mediocre. Not bad but it's also not like a super strong bra. If I can find a 30K on sale, I think I give this bra another chance. Wouldn't pay full price as there are better more supportive options in the J+ cup range.
When I saw this bra on sale I decided to give 32J a try. Turns out the cups are too small for me in this bra. While I can confirm that Freya usually runs a bit generous in cups and band, I can get away with a 30K in their bras but not any smaller. I also found the wires a bit wide for that it is only a J-cup and assume they be even wider in my regular size 30K. The top section is made of a soft strechy lace. The support wasn't that great. I don't recommend it unless you like softer more natural fit and don't mind it being not so supportive.
I had previously been mostly wearing Panache bras, as I found the bands in the Freya bra I tried to be loose. I decided to give Freya another shot after gaining weight and ordered the Fancies balcony bra in a 32J. I found this comfortable and supportive, and the emerald is a very pretty color. This runs a bit larger than my Panache Envy, but it's great for those days when my breast are a bit swollen, and still wearable on regular days.
This is a good bra for projected breasts. It does squish a bit if I tighten the straps a lot, so I've left them a little looser to prevent that and they do slip off my shoulders (constantly), but that's not a big deal. With the straps looser, there's still lots of support, but plenty of room for my boobs to sit where they'd like to be. (There's still a little squishing, but it doesn't hurt, which is what really matters.) There's just slightly more fabric on the sides than I need, but if the shape was just a bit different (like if that room on the sides ...was instead just slightly more depth), it would be an absolutely perfect fit for me. There's no side support whatsoever, which is fine for me, but if you've got wider or very east-west boobs, you might find a lot of boob being squished almost under your arm.
The gore pretty much tacks. There's about a finger's width (or two) of space under it at the top, with less toward the bottom, but I don't really expect gores to tack all that much, and it's pretty firm at the very bottom. There's actually really good separation going on with this bra. My breasts are very firmly held, not falling into the middle, and there's no cleavage whatsoever. They look much smaller in this bra. There's still a lot of boob showing, but it's not inappropriate and there's really not that much jiggle. And there's still a lot more coverage than I normally manage to get. I have to jump up and down to get some movement, and even then, the bra stays put and my boobs don't hurt. So there's plenty of support. And! The cup isn't buckling at the wire and being pushed down into my ribs! The elastic at the top of the cups is comfortable and not digging in or leaving a red indent on my boobs after I take it off. I can lean over, bend down, or twist, and the bra doesn't move or really dig in.
I'm really, really happy with it. It'd be nice if the gore were just a little narrower, because it does dig into my boobs just a bit, but it's tolerable. The straps are very wide-set, but they don't hurt--it just contributes to the slipping. Overall, it looks really nice, it's very light and breathable, and it's not obvious under clothes.
Update: After a few hours, the gore does start to tilt out a bit and the underwires push down into my ribs. I think the bands on the Fancies line are just very stretchy. It's still fairly comfortable, but I do feel it at that point. Read more 346 more words
I really wanted to like this bra because I had heard so many positive things about it, but unfortunately, it just isn't for me.
The shape is far too east/west for me, much more so than any other Freya bra I have tried. If I moved my arms while wearing it, I found my boobs to be in the way on the side. It does gives a nice, somewhat rounded profile, though. The center gore does not lay flat yet I had some issues not filling the very top of the cups, so I had a tad bit of wrinkling (but it was not noticeable under ...a shirt.) I believe if the bra had just a bit more uplift, this would not have been such an issue. I do have full on bottom boobs, but with enough uplift, I usually don't have problems filling the tops of cups.
The band is not as stretchy as many other Freya bras I have tried, so it seems to be firm and supportive. The straps are wide and comfy, but they are far too apart for my shoulders.
**Edit: Since return shipping cost half of what I paid for this bra, I decided to just keep it. After wearing it a little longer, I have decided I like it a little better now than when I initially tried it on. I am kind of a baby when it comes to tightness of bands, so at first I was convinced the band was very snug on the first set of hooks. Well, I decided to try it on the second set of hooks to see if that improved the wrinkling at the top of the cup, and yep, it did! (I can still fit my entire hand under the band, so I could probably even wear it on the tightest set of hooks or even a 30 band.) Either way, it fits much better now than when I wore it on the loosest hook setting. The center gore still does not lay flat and I actually have a tiny bit of quadboob now, but it's not a huge issue. People rave about how comfortable this bra is, so I want to break it in to give it a chance. It feels pretty good now except that the straps are too far apart and are chafing my underarms, but I have that issue with every single bra I own, and it usually because less irritating the more it is worn. The shape is not as bad as I originally thought, either.
I've decided that this bra is good if you want a decent plain, ordinary bra. Nothing about it is spectacular, but it's definitely not bad, either. Read more 361 more words
This bra band fits comfortably snug, and the cup size is a little large. The wires are too wide for my frame and almost rest on my shoulder blades in the back. The gore is also too wide for me (which is too common, unfortunately) and constantly crosses. I bet this would be supportive and comfortable in the correct size.
I was always curious on trying a Freya Jolie. I love how it looks and that it comes in many pretty colours. Also it's known to be very comfortable and to run big in the cups, so when I saw it super cheap on Ebay I had to give it a try. I wouldn't have bought it a full price since I knew that Freya and I don't get along and all Freya bras I've tried so far failed to work in the J+ cup range. This bra is no exception. The wires feel quite week. I find the band too stretchy, I need to wear it on ...tightest setting. The cups almost fit my 32JJ/K boobs, so I'd say it does really run a bit big. I get some issues with cutting in on top but it's not really visible. (I get this issue with almost every bra since my boobs are very full – on -top) The gore does not lie flat which is mostly caused by wires just being too weak. The whole bra is quite comfortable. I get less wire pain, since the wires are a lot more bendable than for example the extreme sturdy Panache Arizas wires. Shoulder straps are typical wide and comfy Freya straps. (I want these kind of straps on all my bras! Meh) The colour is a very bright bubblegum pink. I love it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> The shape from the side is quite projected, a bit more than I prefer. Read more 146 more words
The gore didn't tack and the top of the bra appeared to cut in faintly, but the gore still didn't fully tack going up a size and I had to over-tighten the straps to make the cups fit. The wires are quite flimsy, and the overall construction is not solid enough for this cup size.
I feel like this bra fits me well. It's super comfortable and really pretty. The cons are that the center gore doesn't sit exactly flat on me, which doesn't bother me too too much...I'm not sure if it's a fit or style issue on me. I think I am used to bras with slightly taller center gores, so it feels a little different than what I'm used to. It does not poke me anywhere which is huuuuge! My larger side seems to "double-boob" after I move around in it a bit, but I think going up a cup size would be much too big. I have read other reviews about this style fitting kind of strangely, so I think it's just the style giving me a tiny problem.
This bra is not perfect, but it is really comfortable and doesn't dig in under my arms. I also have the 30J, but it doesn't fit right in the cups. Probably could go down in the band and up in the cup.
This is just too big in the cup. Shape hard to judge. wires too wide. front of cup filled out well, but not the sides. Empty space sides and bottom. Wires poke armpits. Seems big in the cup even for a 32J. Band is snug.
This bra seems to fit better at the begining of the day but by 6 pm its not fairing so well. I allways end up yanking the back down and the cups do not fully encase my boons-yet the wires are far too far round my back? the shape is also a bit flattening on the top.
The band problem is definitely because it's too big. The wire's issue might be a model thing since your boobs are probably narrow and need a deeper cup. Going a cup higher in this model would only make the wire go more into your sides.
If your band slides up in the back, it is too big. This will also make underwires cut into your breast tissue; the band is not supporting you so the wires are not in the correct place. Try a smaller band and experiment with cup sizes.
I meant to add, if you are wearing a 32J, try the 30J and see if that one fits better. I suspect this bra is actually too big for you all around, so the cups are not sitting where they should, thus the quad-boob effect.
That colour is sooo pretty and looks great on you. I hope you can get the size you want!
