The most important thing to know about my breasts is that they're very pendulous and the tissue is very soft. I have relatively narrow roots, medium height. They're also splayed and wide-set.
I've never been able to wear an unlined bra with no stretch well. They just don't fit. There's too much to try to fit into properly, and my breast tissue does better filling in a flexible shape (soft cup with seaming and stretch panels) than a firm shape (non-stretch or molded fabric). But Starlight was too pretty to pass up at least seeing in person and trying on.
To my utter surprise, this thing FITS. It's wonderfully projected ...and the wires feel a little bit firmer than the other Freya bras I've worn. It's very comfortable and looks so good on, but the fabric of the cup is a fairly firm lace that isn't as soft as other Freya unlined bras. The top trim band on the cup has some stretch to it to hold down the edge of the cup well. The cups also have side support slings, which is nice to keep each breast more straightforward. I've read in a couple places that Starlight is based on the build of the Freya Hero Side Support Plunge Bra (1841) , and while I haven't tried Hero myself, the construction looks extremely similar and anyone having success with Hero should find success with Starlight too.
I'm really thrilled that this bra fits. Read more 135 more words

I've had some success with Freya balconettes before, but very limited success with their soft cup styles. The lack of stretch anywhere tends to mean cups are left gaping and wrinkling badly at the top. When I saw that Offbeat had a stretch top panel, I had to give it a shot. And I'm glad I did, because I love this bra so much. The color is great, the height is great, the fit is great. I ...was shocked to read a review of this bra that said the 34J cup is full stretch, because the 36E is not! The only section of the cup that's full stretch is the top lace panel.
True to Freya, the wires on Offbeat are relatively soft, and they're also a little on the shorter side of things, both at the gore and at the outside of the cup. I don't mind this! It's hard for me to find bras that don't have at least a little puckering at the IMF, even if only on my left side, which is more projected, but this one is just deep enough to skirt by without the dreaded wrinkling. The pink straps are a nice touch. I'm a fan! Read more 124 more words

I'm a pendulous, narrow-rooted 36F who has always been charmed by Freya's colorways but was morose because Freya seems to specialize in bras for people who need wide wires.
The Offbeat looks lovely on you, and I'm glad to hear that there's a Freya that could work for me.

The color of this bra is so striking. I really like the design of Freya bras, and this one is no exception. The three-part construction of the cup is solid, and the contrasting lace of the top section is really visually striking. The top section doesn't have any stretch, so there's a possibility of cutting in or not filling out the cup, depending on your shape and root height. I did okay, though! I really like this bra, although the gore is too narrow for me and it's just a smidge too shallow at the IMF, but the real reason I'm not keeping it is because I hate that the lace at the bottom of the bra isn't pinned to the band, meaning it can easily roll up (and did even as I was just wearing it for try on and photos). She's a beaut, though.
Love this bra. Quality, fit, and style are fantastic and the stretch lace is not delicate so I don’t feel like I could rip it without being careful. I’m a little heavy handed when I wash things so that is an important factor for me. Supportive and my husband loves it. I just wish it had some kind of nip coverage so I didn’t have to wear DIMRS when I leave the house.
Ordered this online and did not realize there was extra padding on the bottom. The padding pushes my breasts out of the cups, but otherwise very comfortable.
When I bought this bra it was a much better fit. Now that I've grown a bit it is way too small, so I'm writing this review as I would have when it fit. I think the cups on the taylor run a bit smaller than the regular deco. It is far more closed on top which didn't work well for me. It had a bit of creasing from the weight of my boobs when worn as a strapless but it still managed to stay in place. It has non-slip strips on the top and bottom and I didn't find them irritating. The straps are thinner than the typical Freya but I love the two spaces for each hook as it really lets you customize the fit. The band is firmer than most freya's but still comfortable. There are three hooks which helps with back smoothness and support. I really liked this bra and I think the detailed of the stripes and bronze/black combo is gorgeous.
I liked the colours and bright green straps.. but couldn't find the bra in my size. So, after a short time thinking (and the opportunity of finding it in a sister size at a very low price), I decided to alter it to a 28GG.
This was my first alteration for a bra, pretty happy of the result.
The fit now is much better, though I find the material of the straps a bit rough and would be tempted to change them too.
This is a very cute bra that fits perfectly in my regular size (34FF); I bought a sister size (36E) to get a different colorway, and while it's comfortable and the cups fit fine, the band is definitely too big, especially since it's a very stretchy material. The fabric is a little scratchy and imagine it could bother someone with more sensitive skin, especially on the straps. I get good uplift and a nice rounded profile under clothes. The seams do show a little through thin, clingy shirts, but it doesn't bother me -- I only mention it because I know it's a bigger issue for some users!
I really hoped this bra would fit after reading it's good for shallow wide breasts. Perhaps a different cup size, or even both cup & band are needed? (The band is on the middle hooks, so a 34 may be better.) Or maybe it's just altogether wrong for my shape? It fits and feels awesome in every other way except I can't fill the top of the cups. Would love some advice & suggestions!
My shape: soft, deflated, full on bottom with tall shallow top, measure to 36E
I usually prefer to avoid plunge style bras, as well as molded cups. This bra features both, yet it looks great on me and fits really well. I don't like most plunge bras, because my tissue is so soft that it falls into the middle. However, the Hatty cups fit so well over the top that the tissue stays in place. It is not quite projected enough, so I have some wrinkling in the cups at the bottom. The band is very supportive and doesn't seem too stretchy. The shape is so round and uplifted under shirts, that I feel huge. When I want attention, I wear this bra.

Pros: -One of my very favorite bras (technically not a perfect fit due to open space in cup tops) -Beautiful uplifting round shape, looks nice under shirts -Comfortable and supportive to wear even for long days at work
Cons: -Longline band flips up when I sit down, and sometimes need adjusting throughout the day. -6 hooks can be tricky to fasten correctly -Band is stretchy, similar to other Freya styles.
Fits great, comfortable, and well made. Cute pattern. Only possibly thing I can think of that could be better is if it were smoother for thin t-shirts.
im incredibly sad this doesn't work, because it has to be one of the prettiest bras, especially for a tan color, and the materials are very comfortable.
Im not sure what the cups are made of but ive never felt anything like it- its smooth on the outside, but soft on the inside, like a silk type material. There are bows on the gore and strap made of a tan striped fabric with white tails, embroidered straps that are so, so soft, and the pattern is a sort of circles/snowflakes/flowers? not really sure how to describe it, its a geometric print but its lovely and subtle. The lace that ...makes up the other half of the cups is sort of scalloped and very soft. for appearances, this gets an A.
The fit is where i am having the most issues. The band for starters is a full size too large, like i suspected it would be. this order i was trying 36 bands since im having issues with 34s in some lines being too small, but i can safely say i should have sized down.
The cups don't lay flat in the lace portion for me, though i fill the cup and in fact seem to be slightly quadboobing in the material section of the larger breast, especially when i pull the band as tight as possible. it isnt terribly obvious, and if everything else was good i would probably band size down and call it a sucess.
the gore on this bra is my main issue- it is MURDER. not jut "this seems a bit pokey", but more like "if i sit still its very uncomfortable, if i bend down or sit down i think it will puncture my sternum." it isn't particularly high compared to bras ive tried before, so i can only guess it may have to do with the under wires as a whole being too narrow. before i scoop all the way, they press horribly on my sides, and once ive situated myself it, it seems my breast tissue wants to go over the under wires on the sides, its hard to explain and picture but ive tried. i think they force the wire a little wider than it's meant to be and they'd probably end up losing once i tried to wear it for real and the wires would pop back to their narrow design and cut in.
i haven't worn it for any period of time because the gore alone is too uncomfortable. i may try exchanging for a band size down and a cup up, but i think the shape of these wires is just wrong for me, they seem too narrow and U-shaped. Read more 341 more words
beautfull bra, nice sheer (looks like i`m the only one on bratabase loving sheer bra`s) shape is beautiful also with clothes. my size is 80E/36E and it fits well. i can walk all day in the bra without problems. the only thing is at the end of the day i get a irritating spot just under my armpit.but i have this with all my bra`s. overal very satishfide with this bra. one of my favorite.
It's a beautiful bra and I fill it out quite nicely. The only thing I don't really love is that the ruffly bit at the bottom (not the band or underwire) tend to fold or ride up.
