Hi! I've set up my own lingerie blog where I'm going to add a bra review from time to time. I plan to write my reviews both in Polish and English, and I'll probably focus mostly on the less popular Polish lingerie manufacturers. Any suggestions would be appreciated https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I wanted the initial review to be nice and pleasant, so here's a bra that I really like. I am very sorry for the lenght of my post; I'll try to fix this issue in the next reviews https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I wrote the Polish and English versions separately and made the "READ IN ENGLISH" button which will take you directly to the English version so you don't have to scroll down. To view full-size photos (or to open a photo gallery) simply click one of them. I hope my reviews will be useful https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I started with ordering this bra in 65E and the band was too loose, the gore was sitting on my breasts, the top of the cup was cutting in on my bigger side and the straps were too narrow and didn't give me enough support. I tried two another Gaias in SS10 cut before and both were slightly too big in 65F and too small or too closed on top in 65E. I kept the smaller ones since I didn't have any better bras back then but didn't wear them much and eventually sold them. In those bras gore lied flat so I was a bit surprised that ...in Maureen it floated and the bra was visibly too small. I've decided to exchange it for 65F, I was glad that this time it'll have wider straps and also wider, and thus probably more stable, band. When I first tried it on everything seemed fine. Later I've noticed that the center gore doesn't tack again. The gore is also too tall for my liking and with its typical 2 cm width it can be uncomfortable for someone very close set like me. Despite going up a cup size, there's a bit of quadding on my bigger side, not much and it's hardly visible unless I push the gore flat against my sternum. There's a distinct wrinkling on the smaller side but that's just my asymmetry. The underwires fit perfectly on the outer side but the cups aren't deep enough and there is not enough room at the gore for my center fullness. I don't see any difference between 65E and 65F except that the latter gives me more coverage and has a firmer band. I haven't tried sizing up to G cup as I'm afraid it would be too deep. Quality is very good and it's so beautiful, I prefer brighter colours but this shade of blue and the print are gorgeous. It could also be really comfortable if only I tolerated tall gores. I struggle with skin issues in the bust area and the gore rubs my breasts causing an irritation. Three attempts at finding perfect fit in SS10 and all failed. It's a shame since my two favourite Gaia's spring designs come only in this cut. Read more 269 more words
A beautiful color on you! Thanks for sharing your size "experiments." Disappointing this beauty and the two new beauties you identified don't fit. Sigh.
Thank You Love4Pollinators :) I must admit that I've kept this bra because of the hight waist brief but I can't wear it any longer than 2-3 hours which makes it a bra for special occasions.
Despite technically fitting well (I think), this bra puts a lot of pressure on my shoulders. Making the band tighter distorts the rather soft wires, so maybe I just need firmer wires? I don't know. The bra is well made in my opinion (no fraying in areas where I'd usually see it on some cheaper bras) and the wires are nice and narrow, though quite flexible/soft and there is lots of projection at the wire and gore. The cup is made of light foam (padding) with the upper/outer third of stretch lace. There's no plastic strip along the edge like some bras have. There is very little room between the cups, which is nice for close set breasts, and the wires stay parallel for longer than many of my other bras, which is great for those with center fullness. If only the wires weren't so soft!
Single lace fabric that don't layered on cup, also don't stretch. I have quad boob in Gaia's 65E semi soft, so I tried one size bigger, but too big for me.
Dull green colour bra, has no side bones. The laces at the top of the cup is single, didn't layerd, didn't stretch. Slightly big cup, too wide wire for me.
I really want to love this bra, but it's just not quite right for me. I think this bra might be a better fit for someone with more fullness on top than I have. The bottom of the bra cups are lightly padded, with one vertical seam running up both. The top part of the cups are made of lace with elastic at the very top to help it tack to the breast. I think it would work better for me if the padded part was a few centimetres taller and if the lace was stretchy. In spite of these issues, this is a super comfy bra.
I love the design. Seemed like a good fit at first but I made pictures and was told, the cup is a bit too small for my bigger breast. Haven seen it before, but they were right. The shape looks better in 65 G. However, worn as a neckholder there is more escaping to the sides and the cups get a bit empty during the day, so I guess, I can use both of them https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> Band was a good fit at first, but wears out quickly!
This is beautiful on you!
