This. Is. My. Favorite. I love this bralette!! It's super comfortable, supportive, and creates a nicely rounded yet projected shape. It's a cool combo of sporty and sexy, and I have the same black lace in underwear to match. (also from Target) It's mostly a soft jersey, the cups two layers with dart seams facing in so they don't irritate. Upper cup edges have a clear elastic tape zig zagged on. Underwire casing with no underwire, but it fits like it had one in it. Cradle and band is 1 layer of jersey, but center cradle has a small portion of black tricot as well. Lower portion of band is ...jersey folded over, feels like a casing with elastic in it. Plush elastic lines the top edge from underarm to back hooks. Straps made of same elastic with adjustable sliders. 3 rows of hooks. Overall, it feels like it was built to be a supportive bralette! One thing I wish I could change is the bust dart. While I get good projection, it's still a bit east-west. You can see in my different angles I took, it has more 3/4 view projection than forward. It also gets really good immediate projection. Almost TOO good. You can almost see my natural upside down 7 shape. It would be great if it was a little bit more uplifting. Doesn't look bad under t-shirts; all in all, I think it is an excellent shape for a bralette! Band rides up by the end of the day, but not too much adjustment needed for a stretchy bralette. Right cup has a little bit of empty space, being the smaller breast. Cup can stretch to 10 inches, so could accommodate slightly larger breasts (as long as they're a projected shape). I could have probably done an extra small and been ok. Read more 192 more words
Damn! all you recent bralettes look so cute!! I'm so glad Ill visit target in two weeks and hope I can get some nices ones as well !!! :D
martka00 Thank you! ^_^ They're really great, only between $12 and $15 usually.
I tried this exact bra on at target, same color and size, but it was $25 at mine. I too was impressed with the support & shaping, the band wasn’t as much too big as they usually are. At the time I couldn’t justify the cost but it’s in the back of my head for when I want another bralette. For an OTR S/M/L bralette it isn’t bad. I think I’m a cup size bigger than you & definitely needed the small, I tried the XS & the band was great but the cups weren’t quite big enough.
lcl0706 Wow, what a rip off!! It's only $15.99 when I go on the Target website. But maybe it changes by location/zip code? Luckily, if it ever comes down to it, the band doesn't look too hard to remove the hook and eyes, cut off a bit of the band, and re attach the hooks and eyes. But I've been sewing for 8 years, so maybe it just seems easy to me. :P
No I can sew too and have done that alteration to other bras! I think it would be an easy one to do here too. My target had a couple different colors in this bra. I think there was a pink and white one too.
Soft. Jersey: so lovely! This looks so comfortable. Thanks for sharing!
Over the summer, there were A LOT of bralette reviews popping up, and even though I thought I hated them, I wanted to get on that train. My breasts also were going through a stage where they ached with the slightest bounce and movement, so I was desperate to find a solution. It needed to be something that was more comfy for slouching and sleeping in. If possible, I wanted to be able to wear them as an actual bra to work/running errands since it was hot out!! This was the first I got from Target, and I immediately shortened the band (cut off 1 inch on either side ...in back) and reattached the hook and eyes. It helped a bit, but still super duper long, and stretchy. Hey it was only $12, what was the risk in trying? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> The cups are just too flat. They slide down and wrinkle below my boobs, and flatten them more than their natural projection. At first I figured that was just how bralettes worked like I remembered, and a bit disappointed, I saved it as an around-the-house/sleeping bra. BUT there will be a happy ending!! Stay tuned for the next few bralettes! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 103 more words
I like this aesthetic. Did you find the lace scratchy? The model I purchased was comfortable at first but "rubbed me the wrong way" after a few minutes.
Love4Pollinators The cups and band aren't scratchy, but the super thin straps are annoying. The lace alone would be, but the inside of the cup is soft mesh, so it's comfortable to my sensitive skin. I just can't wear it for a long time because every time I look down, I'm like "where are my boobs?!" and eventually get frustrated with how it fits. I could feel it pressing in along the top edge, and my arms kept brushing the sides of my breasts, so I knew it was pulling them to the sides even more than they naturally are. Despite the alterations, it wants to always ride up, and the straps being so thin dig into my shoulders, so I don't really wear this one any more. I took the photos several weeks ago and just finally am getting them uploaded. :P
I loved this bra when I first bought it. I should technically probably be wearing a 32 band, but it's not something I can find in most stores around here to even try, so I always go 34C and just wear it on the middle hook (wouldn't know if I'm an actual 32D without trying on). If I remember right, this was a gel padded push-up. Either way, it feels fairly realistic to squeeze/poke, and is super comfortable. I've had it for maybe 3 years now, wearing it at least a few days a week (though maybe only half the day), and it's just now starting to feel ...at the end of it's support life. But I've also only washed it when needed; sometimes line dried, other times tumble dry no heat. As it wore over time (mostly from washing & drying I assume), the top/inner edge of the cup has started to curl outward a bit from fabric shrinkage (assuming).
It was well worth the $18 I paid for it at the time. I have another one of the same brand, but diff style, which is also comfortable (though doesn't quite fit as nicely in the cups for being the same size of 34C). But I'd definitely gravitate toward their brand again since I feel like I got a great deal with how well it holds up for being a pretty cheap bra. Read more 125 more words
I had a chance at a Gilligan & O'Malley awhile ago, but it didn't come through. I was wondering what they were like. Thanks! : )
Beautiful bra!
Are you in the United States? Even if you're out in the countryside and don't have access to a lot of stores, you always have online retailers. With Amazon, for example, you have free returns and exchanges, and they have TONS of choices in a 32 band, particularly if you are only 32D or DD.
It’s rare to find anything below a 34 band here, and even more so, one that is actually pretty with a 3- hook band!
The bra is a semi-sheer, unlined, lace balconette with underwires and part-seamed cups. Details include matching lace down along the front half of the straps (partially adjustable), a small teardrop-shaped opening between the cups and a small bow right above the gore.
My band is 28/29 and this 32 fits comfortably snug on the last hooks. The gore is on the shorter side, almost tacked for me, sitting close without laying flat on the sternum. The cups are several sizes too small and while it did not fit all of my tissue, it was able to fit most of it in there after SS. After some strap adjustments it gave my soft and heavy ladies some lift and a nice rounded shape. The support I got is decent considering the circumstances but by no means did it provide any dramatic lift/sculpt. I looked braless but better, if that makes sense.
Ok, the best thing about this bra is the super low gore. The gore makes this a great bra for close-set and/or inner full people. The color is rich, dark and doesn't wear away easily. As with any moulded bra, it's a bit shallow.
This is SUPERBLY comfortable, but probably because the band is too big (as well as having no wire). It does a sufficient job with the straps on, but once they are off, so are all the bets. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> It will NOT hold up a strapless dress at my size. The bra is heavily padded, so it's obvious that it's not my natural breast size. That said, I will very likely be wearing this as is for dressy occasions where the shape of the dress requires a bit more to fill it. If I ever need to wear it as a strapless style, I will of necessity need to remove several inches from the band...surely affecting comfort.

This one is a dingy darker pink with pink embroidery demi cup bra. The band measures 27.75” to a max of 49” with 2 hooks and 3 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 10”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement ...is: 13”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The cup width is 5.875” and the height is 5.5”. The center gore is 2.875” and the side wing is 3.25” tall.
