There are pros and cons associated with losing a lot of weight.
One con is your entire, carefully curated and much loved bra collection is rendered useless. A second one is that you have to start all over again with the bra hunting, as most of your favourite models have been discontinued when you weren't looking. A third is that your boobs are not as, erhm, perky as they used to be.
A big pro, however, is that you now fit into things like this. This is a beautiful, beautiful, not-entirely-practical-but-who-cares-because-beautiful bra, that shouldn't fit, but sort of does.
It's a longline. I tend not to get on ... with those because I find the uncomfortable. Most reviews for this brand make note of tight bands, yet the band for this model is very loose. I normally wear a 32, but I easily fit into a 30 band. It's still not super snug, but because it's a longline it's pretty supportive, and not uncomfortable.
The beige cups underneath the black lace overlay are moulded. Moulded. I have never had a moulded cup fit me properly; not even close. On top of that, it's a plunge. I rarely get on with plunges. This moulded plunge, however, miraculously works. The cups are pretty narrow, pretty projected, and not too tall; they don't fight with my shape like moulded plunges usually do (I'm looking at you Freya Deco).
It creates a pretty great profile (lifted! rounded! up front!), and pretty great cleavage to boot. The straps are thinner and stretchier than I'd like, but somehow they do what they're supposed to do and, again, they're comfortable. Now I'm curious to see how this bra holds up over time, but hey, it's not a workhorse. It's a pretty horse. A proper show pony, one might say (really, did I mention it is beautiful?!).
The cups are a tad small at the moment, but as I'm still losing some weight I thought it better to err on the side of tightness.
I'm not sure, but I think this is the largest cup size they do for this model, and I just happen to fit into it. Hooray!
ps: I am now a 32F or 32E (still figuring my new size out), so this bra runs about 1 size big in the band and about 2 sizes small in the cup.
