So I'm not typically into the leopard print thing, but this is subtle enough. I remember when this bra first came out along with the Serenity and purple colorway of the Chic. I had both of those and I loved them. Now that the Chic is pretty much non-existent and you can't find either of those unless on ebay I figured to give this pretty a go. I love the pretty pink/purple color way with pink bows from that era of Hotmilk. AND the fit was fantastic back then. The Mystery, Untamed and Serenity were all based on the dreamy Chic. For those of us with shallow, bottom heavy, boobs impossible to fill the tops of most bras, these were the dream team fit!
This fits a lot like Hotmilk's Wild Composure of years past. The material is very similar as well, a much more stretchy material than a more cotton based bra like the Chic. The fit is respectable- it fits my small, wide-set, heavy on the bottom chest all the way around except on the top there is minor wrinkling. Nothing too noticeable. The Chic does not have the wrinkling problem at the top and because it is not as stretchy, it seems to last longer too. Fit is great out of the package, but quickly it stretches out to the last hooks and you don't feel as great of a support. Then again Hotmilk always provides so many extra hooks, it might not be too big of a deal. Overall, I would recommend this style as my second favorite style carried by Hotmilk. In other words if you can't find your size available in the Chic, this style will do.
This bra is well made and quite pretty. I love that it has 6 sets of hooks so it grows and shrinks with you through the craziness of pregnancy and postpartum. It clips and unclips easily and the straps don't escape over your shoulder. I would love it if only I had ordered a 30FF or something.
A most awesome bra! Got this bra in the Azure and black lace. It's beautiful! It's also the first Hotmilk I got where I can fill the cups completely. No wrinkles in the top! Also, being rather full on the bottom it is nice to have the thick band going all the way around keeping everything from slipping out. The three hooks are a nice touch too. Perfect bra for me except one thing. I am a band size 30 and I always have to start Hotmilks a few hooks in. This one seemed a little stretchier in the band and I had to start wearing it a little further in. Still love this bra!
I'm currently searching for alternatives to the Hotmilk Chic and I have found this to be comparable. The band seems too stretchy. I usually start on the third set of hooks on Hotmilk bras and this one I started on the fifth hook. Way too stretchy and it will wear out way to fast. The bottom is deep enough for my bottom-heavy boobs, the top wrinkles slightly, but overall fits well. The fits is pretty close to the Chic, but no cigar. The appearance is a bit frumpier than your typical Hotmilk bra. That means no fluffy lace to get in the way, but also no pretty patterns or colors. I got the soft pink color called 'Luxe'. Would I buy this bra again? Sure, but not at full price unless I'm really in need of a bra.
I wanted a fun new bra aside from my practical beige and black ones. This one is adorable with embroidered hearts all over the cups and and crystal sparkly heart in the middle. Now, I don't normally wear slightly padded bras, but my husband told me to go for it. Well, first I am very bottom heavy and balconettes are the best style for me and I could not fill these cups. Hotmilk's Chic is my best fit and this ain't her, sister. Because the cups are padded it isn't wrinkly or very noticeable, but the gore does not stay down in the middle. It also has that weird plastic tubeing they are calling "flexiwire". Can't say I'm really into that either. Also, the band seems to fit much larger than my other 32 Hotmilk bras. I usually start on the midde hooks and I'm already starting these at the last ones. It is a cute bra though. Not sure how much I will wear it though.
I have serenity in cream and it fits just like the Chic. I'd say its exactly like the Chic, except the colorway which is beautiful. I was waiting to get this until it was on sale, because I couldn't justify getting yet another Chic as I already have 5, but I love the bird and flower pattern reminiscent of Japanese china plates. As much as I adore the pattern, the white is quick to get dirty. For more info on fit, you can check my review on the Chic.
I was hoping this bra would fit like the Chic which is my ultimate perfect fit bra. The fit is not bad it just has so much fluffy, loose lace. I think they were going for a frilly dolly lace underwear thing, but I'm used to looking down and expecting to see everything laying down on a bra. Here's an example of what I mean, the gore lays flat, but because there are layers of loose lace sewn over the gore it looks like it's floating. Lift the lace and everything is flat. Again the lace over the cups is a little wrinkly, if I pull it tight against the cup there is no problem. It also offers more coverage, the cups go further back and higher up. I don't have much going up top and my boobs don't go that far back. Too much coverage for me. And since the cups are wider the straps go back further slightly cutting into my armpits. Not unbearable, but not great either.
I love Hotmilk's bras, but I wasn't crazy about this one. Not sure if the fit was different because this was not a nursing bra, rather a wireless bra for the 'everywoman'. Wrinkles at the top again, nothing new there. The fit just didn't seem right. Maybe a better bra for a full on the top kinda girl, or someone more even. Something about the strap placement would make my boobs pop out if I squished my arms together for any reason. Not sure why. Definitely avoid if you are shallow as the lace at the top is closed off. The other thing is Hotmilk's nursing bras have 6 hooks in the back for when a nursing woman's ribcage expands and contracts. This bra only had 3 hooks. Since I am a 30 band size this means that I had to start wearing this bra on the last hook. Never a good scenario. Think I will stick with their nursing bras.
HOTmilk bras are so amazingly comfortable. You know you have a really good quality bra when you're not getting pinched and poked by random mystery spots and you can quite figure out why. This is such a beautiful color, it is fully lined in cotton (rare in any bra, even nursing). Unfortunately it is full cup, so I don't fill the top in too well. The top is also pretty tight, so if you are shallow, I would not recommend. The wide cups work for me, but probably not for everyone. I also really wish these bras came in a 30 band. If you agree please email hotmilk and request that they carry band sizes in 30.
