I normally wear a 28DD and this triangle-style bralette in a darker shade of red is quite obviously too small in the cups and too big in the band for me. It is recommended for 30 bands and the company only makes bras in cup sizes A-D at the moment. I still love the look and wear it on the tightest hook even though I get a bit of quadboob. I am FOB, so if you are FOT or even fullness you might get more quadboob. My guess is that it would fit for someone wearing around a 30B or maybe 30C. The band is made out of a ...firm fabric with almost no give, with an elastic band added to the back portion, and the centimeters on the back around the hooks are two elastic bands covered in the same material as the rest of the band. The cups are made of lace with a geometric pattern and have a single dart each. The lace material itself is not stretchy but due to the pattern it does have a bit of give. The wings have two strips of boning each: One where the straps attach and the other about halfway between the straps and the cup (boning channel is only visible on the inside). The straps are half-adjustable. All visible hardware is golden. When I wear this bralette on the loosest hook, the front will move up onto my breasts. I still get that a bit of that when I close it on the tightest hook but I believe this is rather due to missing cup depth. As I said, I get quadboob as the cups are both too small and too shallow. The straps are a bit too short for my taste but then I need quite long straps. The bralette still serves a decorative function and I do get enough compression from it to prevent bouncing. Unfortunately, the fabric between the hooks was already fraying after a couple of wears. It looks like that part is covered in some fabric as opposed to the plain ones I have seen in other bras, and I'm afraid I caught the fabric with a hook early on. The quality of the finish seems good to my untrained eye and I really like this "clean" lace look, but I'm not sure I would spend that much money on a bralette again if it does not fit better. This bra fits me very well. It's a keeper for sure. Nice width on the wires, full coverage stretch cups with a high gore. The only thing(s) about this bra I don't like is the straps. They are attractive, but not very durable. I will probably make new straps for it out of conventional strap material
*Disclaimer: This bra is not remotely near my size but I have set the fit anyways to get the bra to 100%. I received this bra for my grandmother, who measures 27-28 inches in the ribcage with wide, empty breasts or extremely full on bottom.
This is a very cute bra, especially with the little gore cutout. However, I find the gore extremely high for someone whose a true 30B, and even too tall for me when I tried it on (cup volume 28F). My grandma doesn't have a clear separation of her roots, they just blend into each other so the gore of this bra sits directly on her breast tissue. I would, however, assume most 30B's have a good separation in between the breasts though. It is a very nice bra though and its a bit closed off at the top, so it doesn't gap much on her.
I love this bra so much that I bought it again after some weight loss (I had a 36F previously). I like the teardrop shape it gives my breasts, while still providing good lift and it's very comfortable. I wish I could have found it in a 32FF but I don't even know if Huit makes bras in that size!
This bra was absolutely perfect for me....except for the straps. The straps are incredibly wide set and a bit on the long side. All it takes is a single shrug for them to fall down.
Besides the straps, this bra is lovely. It contains my breasts perfectly, and gives them a great shape. I am seriously considering making this a strapless bra, I want to wear it so badly.
This bra is breaking my heart. The color is luscious, the design is lacy yet modern, and the shape isn't bad for a three-part cup--but the center gore is centimeters off my chest and the band rides up visibly in the back. I'm not surprised about the band because a 30 is a size up from my usual, but unstretched it's 3 cm longer than a Mimi Holliday in the same size, and the cup appears to run a full size small.
Dear Huit: the fact that you occasionally throw a bone to sub-32 bands is fantastic, and I pray that you continue. But it would be that much more effective if those bras were actually true to size. As it is, I'm going to return this bra--reinforcing your mistaken belief that there's no market for sub-32 besides juniors--and resign myself to industrial-strength "full-busted" designs that for me are absurd overkill, seeing as my cup volume is actually no larger than a standard 34C.
I'm very center full with narrow roots, and some projection. I should be wearing 30C, but that's a difficult size to find.
This bra is a perfect fit for me. The cups on this bra fit smoothly, and the wires are a perfect fit to my IMF. The band feels very tight, but I can manage with an extender until it stretches out a little more.
This bra was a bit of an impulse buy. I went to a local boutique, and tried on EVERY bra they had in 30D (this was before I realized the ABTF calculator was overestimating my cup size). This bra fit so, so well! ...But it was way too expensive, so I didn't bother trying a 30C and I just put it back. A couple days later I was telling a friend how sad I was that the pumpkin bra was out of my price range. I went to send her a picture from Huit's website and discovered it was on sale, so I ordered it immediately. Went back to the boutique in a panic because I couldn't remember if 30D actually fit or was too big, and I wanted to try the 30C. Anyway, the cups on this bra are so forgiving I could have gone with either size and been fine. 30D they don't wrinkle or gap, but don't feel particularly snug either. 30C they're slightly too tight (tiny bit of bulging on my larger side), but wouldn't have really been an issue. This bra doesn't look like anything special on it's own, but under clothes my boobs look amazing in it. That's all. Read more 162 more words
This a brand I always want to love but never has fit me. The band is somewhat loose feeling for a 30 but does stay in place. The cups cut in slightly on me which I knew could be an issue. The depth is right at my cut off for maybe fitting. I like the bra enough ive taken off the top seam from one side to let the cup open up a bit more. Almost all my bras are three part balconette construction with the seaming. It’s fun having something different for a change. Does provide a less lifted more relaxed lift than some other styles. The geometric lace with the ruffle lace along the top is a nice change from the standard look as well
I really want Huit to work for me! They're so classy and elegant. I had pretty good luck with a 30C Huit Grand Jeu Padded Bra (A6) once, but couldn't justify the $80 retail tag.
& yep, that looks like almost the exact same model and fit problems I had. The Grand Jeu fit pretty well in 30B too, so I'm not sure what's up with the unlined half cups -- aren't they usually more projected?
This is a soft cup bra that's wide enough to fit my breasts and even give them a bit of lift without padding. (And don't produce uni-boob like my sportsbras!) The band is a tiny bit tighter than I'd like, and the elastic isn't very stretchy, so I usually take it off while I'm driving home from work.
It's a gorgeous color and the fabric feels silky and smooth.
I've ordered another in a size up (32B), so I'll let you know if that band is better or worse.
Fits too loose in the band and too small in the top of the cup. There is a lot of quad boob happening with this one and it feels like it's sliding down my torso.
Edit: after measuring... woah! The cups are measurably smaller than my boobs. No wonder I felt like I couldn't settle into this one. Also, I expected the band to measure larger, maybe it just "feels" stretchy.
Sadly this bra only fit for like a week, so I only wore it for a few hours before going up a cup size (pics are from when I discovered it didn't fit).
For a boring beige bra it's pretty cute with the lace and the bow and all that. And for such a minimal bra in terms of coverage it sure gave good lift and shape. The outer fabric is this really lovely silky texture.
This is very stretchy. The straps are set close together both front and back. I always have to max out the strap length but these have surplice. Great for talls! The band is a tad to long in my usual size. Had one been available I would have tried the 34DD. Everything else is pretty good so if needed I can alter the back as I am a seamstress. I love the sheer type cups and wide sides. There is an extra column of hooks in the back, 4 instead of the usual 3. I doubt that this would support much beyond a flat D, but it's nearly perfect for me. I had to bend the wires away from my sternum and this is no uncommon for me to have to do. In the end I removed the wires and the fit is still good. Aaahhh
This is a fairly deep 32D. I am a very shallow 32D, so I need a bra with significantly less volume at the apex of the cup and at the top of the cup. This bra gaps on me. Would be great for a firmer, fuller bust type. Is a cute demi silhouette.
Love the satin fabrication and fishnet detail on this bra, but I'm a true 32D and this 32C is just too narrow for me to fake it. Has interior cotton pockets to insert pushup pads, (does not affect the fit of the bra.) Super comfortable. 3 hooks on the band instead of conventional 2 hooks usually on a 32C.
Super cute satin and fishnet fabrication and electric blue! Wish I could keep, but I'm sadly a true 32D and this bra is too narrow for me. Worn 3 or 4 times and then shelved for over a year before I finally decided to give up on it. It has cotton pocket sewn on the inside of the cup to insert pushup pads. These pockets do not affect the fit of the bra. It also has 3 hooks instead of the conventional 2 hooks usually found in this size.
I did love this bra, but it is no longer a good fit for me. When I did properly fit into a 34C, it was very comfortable, and beautiful. The band stretched out to be too loose on the tightest hook after about a year and a half, but the cups, which are a taught, breathable silky mesh, have retained their structure. I have two, and I still wear them, despite the loose bands and a little cup trouble for my larger breast.
wow ! A 30 band from huit ?
I use to have a 34C from this brand, and the back was huge too (even for a 34) !
