Why, whyyyyy, WHY do I want to keep this bra?! I really shouldn't - but I just fricking loooove this bright green color!!
It doesn't fit horribly, but to be honest the dimensions don't really agree with me. As it is now, it's uncomfortable to wear.
The good: Projection is actually pretty decent? This stretch lace is quite forgiving (ideally I'd go up a size, but Ivory Rose stops at G, at least in this style, on ASOS). Apart from some in-cup quadding the cups fit okay.
The longline band is surprisingly comfortable, considering I don't tend to do well in longlines. FYI it does run a bit big for a 32, ...but in a longline that's okay with me because of the larger surface area tension.
The bad: Mostly, the wires come up too high under my arms and poke uncomfortably - the added strip of boning in the wings is not helping with that.
I'm thinking the wires are too narrow, too, as they kind of stab my tissue on the sides.
Then, the straps are too wide-set (story of my life) so they end up in my armpits.
Also I would've -greatly- preferred a ballet back, instead of it going straight across - which somewhat unflatteringly cuts into my back fat.
So yeah, the reasons not to keep it do add up ):
Realistically I should send it back - still deciding.. - but THIS GREEN IS TOO GOOD!
Long story short, I'm actually considering some surgery on this glorious green longline - by lowering the wing area?
Oh and I couldn't find the model on here, and there's no name or serial number on the label? Even removed the quality control sticker to check. ASOS just listed it as 'fuller bust emerald lace longline bra' or something like that :/

you obviously kept this because of the lovely green colour...
Haha, yeah, I've been into green lately too and saw the front pictures and was like 'that's so pretty!' only to see the back. I think it's the scaling of the hooks, lol. Interesting about the combo of good projection and high underwires.
I have a thing for green lingerie....I get it... Lol, but really, it actually looks quite good, but I bet that underarm/armpit stabbing would get you after a couple hours of wear.
It looks super supportive, look at the boning at the side and the longline style, 5 hooks/fasteners!
bubblegum , It looks so good on you! Too bad it's so uncomfortable. : (Oh, how I love the green color too! It's gorgeous! Where did you buy it? On-line or store?
bustyand yeah it's a pity they didn't make the back prettier (though I don't think it's SO bad) but a ballet shape and maybe some lace part panel would've been great!
Thanks Wilderness1BraOdyssey I'll try it on for an hour or so today to make a final decision haha!
Altering it for comfort should definitely be doable, but I don't want it to end up in a pile of unworn sewing projects..
Grrr curse those high wires and wide straps! I know a picture doesn’t translate to real life, but this looks amazing on you. And that color, oh man that shade of green is fantastic! Would it be worth doing some alterations to get a better fit?
When trying it on a second time, the band also started flipping a little. That's one flaw too many, right?
This bra fits quite well, my breasts are enclosed comfortably which is a good for shallow-shaped women. The cups are slightly too tall for my shape, causing the cups to curve at the top into my breasts in a little. The bra is very soft and pleasant to the touch, which makes wearing this enjoyable, however my criticism is that the wire digs in at the gore, making this uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
With an industrial looking shape I get the impression that this bra is more for comfort rather than style, although I like how this looks. Most things on this bra feel "thick" ...such as the large height of gore, the thickness of wings and the sturdiness of the material. As a strapless bra these are good qualities, as it feels like the bra won't fall. On the other hand, the qualities makes the bra feel ridged in the sense that it lacks elasticity, so fastening the bra behind the back and even undoing it can take longer than usual which is frustrating.
Overall I like this bra especially as it costs £16 at certain outlets so I can't complain about finding a strong bra in a 32FF at this price. It's not the most comfortable nor fashionable, however it works well for shallow-breasted women and is comfortable to get you through the day. Read more 120 more words
I'm glad you found a decent "temp" bra to use until your boobs stop growing! Do you think the gore could be too wide for you? That's usually the main reasons that gores dig in on me.
marilynne, I think the problem is that the gore could be too tall, and/or it may have something to do with my breast shape since my roots are wide.
Is the gore sitting on top of breast tissue?
My breasts are currently far apart, so the gore rests will on my sternum without touching the tissue like all my bras.

Ah, then you're probably correct that the gore is too high for you.
I had a similar issue before I had implants. If the cup was too full coverage, I didn’t have enough upper breast to fill out the cup. It would bend inward and the center gore would dig into my bone. Maybe possibly a demi cut cup with a lower gore for comfort would work better. :)
Because of I have shallow breasts demi cup bras work the best. I was disappointed that this bra is as tall as it is, but I'll manage until I outgrow it.
If it helps, you can also try 'bending' the gore outward with some pliers!
I personally cannot stand taller gores - and this 'trick' has really helped me out sometimes :)
Hi everyone I recently found this website and would HUGELY appreciate any help as bra shopping is stressing me out and stopping me wearing tighter clothes. Im 21 and want to be comfortable with my boobs. It all started a couple of years ago when I had gained a lot of weight and then lost around 3 stone. Meaning my boobs became very bottom heavy with not much tissue near the top. I have had multiple bra fittings in Ann summers and was wearing a balcony bra in 34dd. Recently I have started spilling out of that where half the time my nipple starts coming out😂 so I went ...to Victoria’s Secret back in October and they said I was 32ddd so I ordered that size in a “body by victoria perfect shape” style. They seemed to be great at first and they were super nice quality. But the more ive worn them I’ve realised that I just have gaps at the top of the cup (near where the strap joins the cup) and still spill out. So I measured myself at home and used multiple bra calculators which suggested a 32F. So I ordered some ivory rose bras multi way bras (nude one) and asos fuller bust balcony bra (black one). I liked both styles. However, I still seem to not appear smooth so I could feel comfortable in tight tops and risk spilling out. In addition, when the wire is properly under my breast, it causes the feeling of spilling. When I adjust or raise my arms, I get some breast tissue sitting under the wire. I also find I get breast tissue poking out the side. I am just so fed up now. I just want to find my perfect bra😭 I’m at a loss on what size and what style to try, without spending an absolute fortune! Ideally no more than £20 ish on 1 bra...💕 I really appreciate it if you got this far so thank you xx I’ve put both bras on my profile, praying someone will be able to help me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 245 more words
Hello and welcome. If you upload pictures wearing your bras, you can ask for a Fit Check. The people here are amazing with helping to point you in the right direction for a well fitting bra.
FYI, Ann Summers and V'Secret are actually not so good at 'proper' bra fitting, also their bras mostly fit quite 'shallow' which I don't think suits your needs. Just replied to your fit request.
Don't give up or get discouraged, you will be fine - many good bras to try still, even without breaking the bank (:
More 'specialized' mainstream brands like Freya, Panache, Cleo, Curvy Kate and (if you'd ever want to try) many Polish brands are wayyy better at achieving a good fit.
This is an odd bra. The straps are kinda short. There isn't enough room in the outer part of the cup so it smooshes my soft tissue into a weird cone shape, and yet the inner edge of the cup flaps open. Maybe it's built for someone with tall but kind of full roots plus an overall more shallow shape?
My underbust is 28-30" and my bust measures around 35" standing and 36" leaning over. Tall roots, soft tissue with some projection, and average-to-wide roots. This bra seems oddly shallow for the size or just isn't expecting a lot of outer fullness. The lace cup is one piece, not seamed, so that may be part of the problem. The band fits pretty true to size, at least. There's also some side support boning in the band about an inch past the cups that seems to have a soft type of wire/reinforcement in it.
Probably if you have narrow roots and have more center/inner fullness, this bra could work? Idk, man.
Dislikes: - it doesn't fit: the cups are too high, i have huge gaps at the top of the cup, the gore doesn't touch, the wires are too high under my arm pits and the straps are too far apart
