I really wanted this bra to work, but the straps are incredibly wide set and cut into my armpits. The 8-inch cup depth would normally be too small, but it worked fine because the cups are so open on top. Looked beautiful on, but quite minimizing under clothes.
Gorgeous bra. Love the low cup height and narrow strap placement. Unfortunately, it’s considerably too small on my larger side. Beautiful on, but quite minimizing under clothes.
Visually, I love this bra (which is why I have kept it around for years)! The mesh overlaying the low-cut cups gives this black bra a very classic vibe.
Because I have owned this bra for two years now (and I've definitely gained some weight since I originally purchased it) it doesn't fit anymore. The cups are much too shallow, causing the bottom to wrinkle up. My breasts are also no longer encompassed by the cups, so my nipples can be seen through the mesh ovelay at the top & my tissue migrates and spills out over time.
However, I CAN attest to its lasting power. This bra has been at work for quite a while & there is still life left in it yet!
I was fit at Journelle for this and knew it wasn't the best fit but decided to buy it anyway. It's a good summer bra because it doesn't show under v-neck or sleeveless tops on me. It's also one of the only bras I've found with a wire that goes all the way around my tissue on the sides.
The band is very soft and doesn't offer much support for me. It's loose, but if I hook it on the smallest hooks it doesn't feel more supportive and the soft band ends up distorting. I find that as the day goes on, the cup also wrinkles at the wire ...and at the top outer edge of each side near my armpit. There's no gap or cutting in at the top so I assume it's a shape issue or because it doesn't provide good lift for me. The gore comfortable but it's too wide. It might fit better if I altered it to overlap the wires, although I think that would make the wire not fit all the way around my larger breast.
For the price (I think I paid $110) the quality just okay as I've only worn this bra four times and it already looks a bit shabby. The mesh is very delicate and I've had to cut off fraying elastic and loose threads. It serves its purpose as a summer bra but I wouldn't wear it every day because it's delicate and not very supportive. Read more 138 more words
Shape: round, projected, even to FoB, close set, average root width.
Oh goodness, I should avoid half-cup bras. The level of quadboobing in this bra was comical - I'm too projected and center full for this baby, so despite the cup width suiting me just fine, the cups themselves weren't adequately shaped. That said, it's a gorgeous bra and this colorway was lovely - a delicate powder blue with blush accents. The band fit nice, and the cup lace was of excellent, comfortable quality with a nice stretch to it, but I found the straps to be too stretchy/flexible for my needs. Too bad! This would be a good pick for someone a touch shallower and FoB than I am.
Band runs small. Front closure, so only one band-length option and it doesn't fit at all. The cup size feels about right, but I have to stretch the bra with my hands to get the cups to a place where I can try to judge their volume. The same volume in a bigger band might work, but I think the cups would still be too far apart.
The racerback straps are pretty but not very adjustable. The lace on the cups is likewise pretty. Construction looks solid, but I can't speak to comfort, as this fits me so poorly.
