I love this bra, but it's been discontinued. It's soft and pretty, and everything about it is comfortable. It does a great job of supporting and is a gorgeous shape. After 4 years, the top layer of the fabric on the band has started to tear, and you can see a little bit of foam peeking through the top edge of the cups.
I've been wearing this in 32dd for years. Despite my 24.5" underbust, it works surprisingly well on the tightest hook despite innumerable trips to the washing machine. It doesn't quite pass the two finger test, but it fits as well (on the tightest hook) as some 28s I've tried (looking at you, Freya). My boobs completely fill out the cups, the wires don't hurt my slight but far-reaching sideboobage. The straps don't fall down. Overall a very soft and comfortable daily bra. I only wish these came in smaller than 32.
This bra gives me perky, separated breasts that project (it really lifts and separates, and each breast is fully encapsulated). The cups are very sturdy and lined, and even though there is lace on the cups, I don't find it shows under t-shirt material. It has nice, delicate lace detailing and is quite pretty. It's comfortable for me to wear and feels very sturdy and supportive. I was able to adjust the straps as much as necessary, and they weren't too far apart for me. The fitter at Nordstrom who had me try this on said that people generally think kensie bras are either awesome or terrible; in my case I think this style works well for me.
I typically wear a 30D but wanted to try this one because it was super cute. The cups fit my shallow breasts perfectly. The cup is open and there is no gaping at the top. The band is big, but runs snug. The shoulder straps do not shorten enough. The fabric has piping that is raised in places and the patterns are all a little loud, so you probably have to be judicious in what you wear it under.
What a cute bra! The style is a bit vintage, and the fabric quality is fantastic. The color has yet to fade after a few hand washings, and my particular choice was (of course, gotta be bold) bright teal/green leopard print.
The band size was too large for me (as I knew perfectly well at the time of purchase) but I'm assuming—since this one felt pretty snug—that the band size runs a bit tighter on this particular bra. I couldn't quite fill out the cups on a normal day, but they practically spill out when it's shark week (do you like my euphemism?). I think, matched with the panties that come with this, they make a great pair for a special occasion but shouldn't be worn too often.
What sold this bra to me, however, was the J hook! Using it made this bra fit almost perfectly, whereas without it, it feels a bit off.
A shape mismatch for me as it's too wide and shallow. It looks like it could be a good bra for someone it fits, the materials seem okay and the aesthetics are nice. I'm not sure if the white strip along the top of the cups would show under thin shirts however.
Fits! This 32dd is one size smaller than I usually wear, but everyone was saying that the cups were too deep so I thought that might be the way to go. It's rare that a bra gives me a push-up cleavage without my breasts falling out the middle, but this does great. The shape is maybe a little odd -- it's rounded, mostly, but flares out at the top of the cup? Maybe that's the thing saving me from spilling out, though, so I'll take it.
It's not the greatest quality - the boning and the strap adjusters are both a little poky, but it's cute and it fits, so I'm content.
The matching underwear have ruffles. And a bow. Oh wait, and rhinestones. It is a little too cutesy for me, actually, but it's so flattering otherwise I'm going to try to channel my inner teenager.
I really like this bra, it's so super cute. The cups run wide, which isn't a problem for me with my wide roots, but the cup depth is too much and I don't have enough boob to fill them. I added a removable push up pad and which helped me fill out the cups all the way but it has a very pointy shape. I'm inclined to keep it because it is the sexiest bra I own right now and with the PU pads it fits pretty well.
Super cute bra with 3 part cups and lovely frills along the bottom of the band and a nice center bow. The band is soft but the added 3rd row of hooks is a nice touch and gives the band extra firmness. The straps have a hook in the back so it can be worn racerback style. The wires are wider than most 34B's which is nice for my wide roots, but the cups are very deep. It is very comfortable to wear but I just don't have enough boob to fill the center of the cups. I put some cookies in which helped me fill it out better unfortunately it has a very pointy look to it.
Straps barely adjust long enough when worn normally, and are plain too small when you where it as a X-back. These cups were not deep enough for me, but it looks nice, gave a bit of a pushup look and the gore not sitting flat wasn't too far off. Be warned that cup separation is extremely wide. However, there are only ribbons connecting the cups, so if you are narrower, they just bunch up to fit (though it doesn't look good then). This was actually extremely soft and comfortable fabric and the X-back adjustability would be nice if you have don't need longer straps.
I had this in 32B, which I spilled out of, so I got it in 32C and it's such a cute bra. Being a "corselette" this has a wide band with three hooks, along with a low gore that site comfortably against my breastbone. The band feels like a 30 more than a 32. It's a pretty good fit for me and I really love the look of this bra. I plan to wear it on special occasions, if not for extended wear.
November 2015 Update: This bra obviously didn't work out, but I've been using it on my dress form for at least a year to stuff the breasts to get a more accurate body shape for draping/drafting patterns. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />
Original 2013 Review: This bra is really cute, extremely soft, and really comfortable. The fabrics are adorable and sexy at the same time. It gives me a very nice, rounded, projected shape. It also doesn't painfully rub where my arm meets my chest!! (I've noticed that about wide wires; the straps will be too wide in the front.)
When I swoop and scoop, I fill the ...cups completely, but after a little while I guess that technically I don't fill the top of the cups fully. There are two layers to this bra, the top one being a really stretchy lace. So the lace lies smooth, but there's a tiny bit of wrinkling in the moulded layer below it (causes a couple of small bumps and ripples in the lace). It's definitely not noticeable under shirts and I'm not getting any under arm spill. I think that if the cups were a tiny bit less projected it would fit perfectly.
The band is actually very small for a 32 (actually seems like a 30), and with the 3 hooks in the back, it fits snugly and doesn't slide around even if I tighten the straps more. It might be slightly more comfortable if it were an inch shorter, but it stays in place for now. Anyone who has a 29-30 inch ribcage would fit this perfectly.
The straps are JUST long enough to shorten to a comfortable length. I know that in the future they will become stretched out and I won't be able to adjust them any shorter.
This is definitely not a long-term bra, but it will probably last a couple of months. In the meanwhile, it is very comfy while being sexy at the same time. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 227 more words
This bra is not too bad, although I really have to tighten the straps for it not to gap a little at the top. The cups are a good depth. They are however curling slightly at the top which is kind of annoying, it's not really a t-shirt bra anymore because of this. I got this bra cheaply and it's worth what I paid, but I wouldn't pay full price. It's a decent midweek bra.
This is really meant for someone with more fullness/projection on top, while I am full evenly with a little heaviness on the bottom. I bought this bra when I first got my new size and seemed to fit much better into it, now it gapes hugely at the top.
I love the magnetic clip on it!! The style is super cute. And I'm generally a little full on bottom and sometimes plunge bras don't work, but the racerback straps pull the cup closed enough at the top for me.
Underwire on the side doesn't lie flat; instead, the side digs into you at a weird angle, like it was designed for a two dimensional person. Also, the embellishment on the straps is irritating to me. Note to self: cups too big, band too big.
I got this on sale at Nordstrom Rack and while the size isn't perfect, it's comfortable enough for casual wear and I love the bra.
Ideally I would have a 32DDD, but my sister size of 34DD isn't too bad. There is a slight bit of gaping at the top of the cups near the strap, but this is a common problem for even my best fitting bra's that run this high.
The straps are soft and very comfortable, the cups feel nice and the longer line doesn't bother me in the least. I love the fun look of the bra so I am keeping this one.
