I’ve never tried a Kris Line semi-soft cup bra, so I decided that this one was close enough to sister sizing if I wore an extender and decided to buy this from alisa!

I’ve said it once before (or maybe a couple of times) that I’m curious if Kris Line bras aren’t meant to have a hard tack or even a tack at all at the gore. I know that sounds weird and is one of the main things that tells you a bra “fits” but for some reason no matter how deep a KL bra is, I’m having a tough time getting a tack. That ... happens with this bra, which is really deep when stretched to the absolute depth limit over my knee (I feel like I got like 39cm of depth or something!!!) So now I have no idea if the bras I’m wearing are big enough or not.

The material this is made out of is softer, stretchier, and more malleable than the material of the semi-soft 75L - Ava » Somma Soft (1122) that I recently received. It’s very comfortable, but it makes a weird scratchy sound because of the material rubbing against itself. It’s a little strange.

Because this is technically a 32 band, it’s too snug on its own, so I’ll be wearing an extender with it at least for a little while. When it’s on the loosest hook without the extender, it’s so snug that the boning pokes me in the sides.

The overall quality is okay, but I think it does feel a little cheap compared to the unlined KL bras that I have. The overall appearance is nice though; it’s a beige bra with a floral swirl type design on the fabric. The lace on top is nice too, but there’s definitely a hard shift from the lined part to the unlined part.

Overall, I’m glad I took the plunge on this bra, I’m not sure if I’ll wear it as much as my unlined bras, but it was worth trying out. Would I try another semi-soft Kris Line bra, given the opportunity? I probably would just because they’re pretty. But now I’m so used to unlined bras so I don’t know if I’d want a million of these.

The gore on this bra also would not tack on me. The cup depth I measured was just similar to other bras that fitted me at that time, so it made no sense. I think it's a combo of the padded cup which can make a bra more shallow fitting + KL wire construction which is more soft and flexible and if you have center heavy breasts - the wire looses it's hold there and gets more easily pushed away compared to a really strong wire.

I also can't get a Kris Line gore to tack on me. I'm centre-full so usually that's difficult anyway, but KL seems to have very soft wires too. That said, I love my KL bras and would buy more because they are very comfortable.

    • Rehmania agreed! The majority of my bras are Kris Line and I don’t see that changing even with the weird fit issue with the gore. I *may* try one more size up just to see if that helps, but I’m on he fence still because I’m worried the cups might get too tall. We’ll see!
