  1. Afrodyta Half Cup Soft

I wear Krisline softcups (balcony) bras all the time. I love their GORGEOUS embroideries. In fact, I buy Krisline bras and panties BECAUSE of their embroideries.

When looking through bra catalogues, I have always been drawn to sheer half cups. I always wanted to wear this style of bra and swore that after I had my breasts fixed I would wear unpadded, sheer half cup bras.

But, most reviews will state that bras of this style are wider and more shallow/less projected than softcup balconies, so I was hesitant to try them, for fear of losing money.

Up until now, the only soft half cup/balconette that I had tried was ... my Ewa Michalak HM Wiktori. I gambled on that one because I had seen other BTB users with breasts similar to mine have success with it.

HM Sekret Wiktori is projected enough at the wire. It fits pretty well and while I love that bra, it is too open on the top to be anything but a date night bra(my nipples fall up and out of it over time) so my quest for a soft half cup that I could wear all the time was still on.

On my last order from MagdaBras4you in Poland, I decided that this time I would be brave. VERY brave. I ordered new styles AND new brands.

And the bra that I am most happy that I took a risk on? This one!!

This bra was a real fit surprise. Why? Because it is a perfect fit. PERFECT.

The wires are narrow. In my size, at 13cm wide, the cup measures almost 2cm less across than my Ewa HM.

The cups are projected and deep (even at the gore).

The cups come up over my nipple and the little elastic at the top closes the cup but does not dig in or cause any quadding. The girls stay inside all day.

This is a sexy bra that gives the uplifted apple effect but has enough comfort, support and security to wear all day every day.

Afrodyta is a soft half cup balconette with 2 vertical seams and a side support. It is unlined and sheer.

There is boning in the wings, but it is soft and flexible - no poking.

Straps are perfect width for my frame. A little closer set than my HM.

It has an inverted V-shaped gore, which I love because I am short waisted.

Band is TTS for KL - i.e. It is size 65 and it measures 65cm un-stretched.

Cradle, gore and band are all constructed of double-layer mesh. Light, airy and delicate but strong.

I chose brazilian (stringo-szorty) panties to match. They are constructed of opaque sueded microfibre on the front with embroidered sheer mesh panels at the hip to match the cups of the bra. The back is made of double-layer stretch mesh (like the band of the bra) that is seamed up the middle and folded on the sides to reduce panty lines.

They are TTS for KL panties in size S - i.e. they fit like an XS.

KL panties are ALL notoriously small. Seriously. Size up ladies.

But, they are some of the best panties ever in terms of quality of fabric and construction. Well worth the money and much better than EM panties. MUCH better.

I am so happy with this set that I have already asked Magda to order another soft half cup from the Krisline Spring/Summer catalogue as well as 3 more from their Fall/Winter catalogue. I have finally found the bra of my dreams and it only costs about $50.

    Didn't fit

This is another gorgeous soft aqua embroidered soft cup bra. It's a 3 piece cup of embroidered mesh. Bottom of the cup is lined with ultrafine lining mesh. Top panel is left sheer and it has white accents in the embroidery. There is fine, soft elastic running along the top of the cup to allow for more upper fullness. If it isn't stretched, it creates a pretty shirred edge effect.

This is the 3rd KL soft cup style I've tried (in both 65G and 65GG) and they all fit (and measure) differently.

Apparently, Ewa Michalak and Comexim aren't the only inconsistent ones lol

This one is by far the ... widest and shallower of the 3. I don't get a tack (finger width away) and I get some lower cup wrinkling and a little empty cup action on the sides where the wire is too wide.

The bra is otherwise very comfortable. And the quality is top shelf.

Krislines have lower wing heights and longer bands than my EMs. A 65 band is a 65 cm unstretched. As someone between 65 and 70, I love it.

I'll be keeping this bra because, despite the fit issues, it is comfortable and absolutely beautiful. Until EM starts offering embroidered styles, I'll be ordering from KL when something catches my eye.

I have to thank MagdaBras4you for getting me this bra set.
Her expertise, patience and customer service is more than excellent.

P.S. I have listed the 65GG for sale.

For those interested to compare cup shape and width of this bra vs an Ewa Michalak BM in the same size:

This is such a gorgeous bra! I love the colour

    • 7

Update: I took matters into my own hands. I had a sneaking suspicion that there was ample cup volume here, just that it was spread too wide.

So...I carefully, slowly, bit by bit, BENT the underwires into much more of a U-shape (i.e. I brought it into a 14.5cm width cup) and presto! Bra softly tacks now. Then I did it with my other one and that one tacks too. Sometimes, you know, you just gotta be brave lol

Watch out, MagdaBras4you now that I know I can "fix" them easily, I'm going after more KLs πŸ˜‹ when is the new Spring collection available? πŸ˜‰

Stella Malina (Raspberry) is a real stunner.

This is NOT a colour for the faint of heart, let me tell you.

Now, MagdaBras4you will tell you: "April LOVES pink!!" and this bra is a very, very saturated pink colour.

This style is one of the deeper/more projected at the wire and more narrow soft balcony bras that I have from Kris line.

No wire-bending needed. It fit me right out of the box, with no wrinkling anywhere and a nice tack at the gore.

I would be tempted to say, "I wish all KL softcups fit me like this. I wish they were all like this right out ... of the box."

Which leads me to this: I have many KL softcup balcony bras now and they seem to follow a trend: there are those with 1 vertical seam and those with 2 vertical seams. Those that are constructed like this one, with 2 vertical seams, tend to fit like this!

Stella is a 4 part cup construction with 3 lower panels (2 vertical seams) and 1 upper horizontal panel.

The lower sections have a delicate embroidery and are lined in mesh.

The upper panel is unlined and has a much more ornate embroidery. It also has a narrow colour-matched elastic that closes the top of the cup a little. I personally LOVE this elastic (I have short roots and firm tissue) but if you have tall soft roots, it could be a different case for you.

The cradle and gore are both covered with ornate embroidery as well.

There is a small bow with a fairy charm at the gore.

From the inside you can see that the gore is in the inverted V-shape that I like. It dips up and is great if you are short-waisted.

The straps have a picot trim to prevent adjuster slippage and are decorated with an embroidered panel and therefore, technically, only 1/2 adjustable, but the adjuster can be forced over the embroidery if needed to shorten the straps more.

The band is TTS for KL - size is 65 and it measures 65cm un-stretched. It is made of a soft, matte/sueded firm knitwear. I LOVE this material for bands and panties alike. It is soft, comfortable, supportive and stretchy. It washes and retains its shape and colour very well.

I chose Brazilian (stringo-szorty) bottoms and Magda sent me the matching garter as a BEAUTIFUL birthday gift. Both pieces are constructed beautifully from a combination of the embroidered panels, matte knitwear and opaque mesh.

They fit as expected - i.e. small!!

KL panties and garters fit small. I usually wear XS underwear and I always buy size Small in KL and even then they are quite snug. However, the design and construction, and therefore fit and look, of their bottoms are superb.

This bra cost about 150 PLN - which converts to about $50 Canadian. Well worth it for such great quality and detail!! Much thanks to MagdaBras4you for helping me to purchase this set direct from Poland where Kris Line lingerie is made.

    • Really pretty! Wish it had no strip. Did you have any trouble with the strip(s) with your mom, out of curiosity?

    • Calluna no...she doesn't fill the top of the cup in Krisline 65G. In Gorsenia 65G yes. But she would quad in it even without the strip. It's more spilling out than quadding. 65H is too big. Again, she can't fill the top of the cup. She's so soft it's like pouring pudding into a ziploc. I HATE molded bras but I think she needs one...we will find out on Tuesday.

    • I do know that pudding feeling....hopefully something will work out and you’ll crack the code for her. Please keep us updated...

    • Yes it's true. April is crazy about pink :) You look fantastic in it.πŸ‘™πŸŒΊ

    Didn't fit

Today, my first Krisline order arrived. This is one that I did before I started working with Magda, and they're both discontinued styles.

This is the first one. This is the bra that got me lusting after Krisline. I saw it on the blog Cakes on a Plate and went nuts looking for it. I finally found it on a Polish website, Jagna, and paid a hefty shipping price.

But, it was worth it. This bra is even more beautiful in person than I ever could've hoped for.

I have a real love affair for pink flowers, especially apple and cherry blossoms.

This bra and panties check all ... my boxes...flowers, printed satin, embroidery and lace. Its feminine to the max. Even the straps are embroidered with pink flowers!

    The wires:
-are narrow. Just a little wider than EM.

    The band:
-is very TTS...I'm wearing it on the loosest hook comfortably.
-has side boning (I like this feature in bras)
-is firm knitwear. (Feels like itll last a long time before stretching out).

The straps are NOT fully adjustable due to the embroidery. But, on this model I'm ok with the strap length and actually have 2" to spare.

As for cup fit...its not perfect, but for a bra set that I love this much, I will deal.
The cups are deep...very deep. But not quite enough so right at the center gore. This results in a soft tack.
I also have the tiniest bit of gaping at the inner edge of the upper cup. I think this is also due to lack of depth at the gore. But, a stitch or 2 will draw it in, if I'm bothered to get that nit-picky.

The upper cup has elastic. Not that plasticky strip that's usually used, but super soft, super narrow elastic. Elastic!! This is GENIOUS as I think itll be more forgiving for upper fullness that would get quadding with those non-stretch plastic strips.

I ordered XS panties to match this bra - 1 tanga (Krisline calls this "stringo szorty") and 1 bikini brief.

They fit small. They're a full size smaller than XS 34(6) panties from Ewa.
But, they have MAJOR stretch and are absolutely beautiful in cut and quality.

Krisline has won my heart for style and quality. Even though the fit is 95%, I'll be buying more in the future.

I ordered 2 sizes - I'll add measures for both to Database AND I'll post the 65GG for sale to see if some other girlie girl is interested in snagging one of these discontinued beauties.

    • 1

Might not be hot once it gets there though Sovavosi ...

    • 1

rachaelll I'm always "over" winter. Anything below about 20 degrees C is too cold for me. I live in the wrong country!

    • 2

It looks lovely on you AprilGoulding!

And you all can send your snow to me, I will gladly take it off your hands! We shall build a giant snow castle in the yard with it, with bra curtains covering the windows. β„πŸ˜β„πŸ˜β„

    • We, fortunately, have not been any sub 0C temps this winter. We have, however, had an abundance of rain, wind, and lack of sun. It’s a trade off.

    • 2

Might get some flurries on Sunday or Monday....flurries is the β€œf word” here. The city sold the snow plows. We can’t handle the snow (except for the people who moved here from everywhere else). I’m Montreal born but I moved to Florida when I was 2.5, so moving back to Canada after 30 years away, we picked the warmest and least snowy place. I’m with Wilderness1 that 20c and under is cold, but I have acclimated a lot more since I have been here.

    • It is neg 22F here currently and we have about 20" of snow on the ground, and I love it. I could do with out the temp extreme mind you, but I absolutely love the snow. Come Sunday it's supposed to get up to 55F so my beautiful snow will turn into hard sheets of ice and slush, which won't be as fun....

    • Hate it, hate it, hate it. I'd like to live in a bikini, shorts and flipflops

    • Haha AprilGoulding. Soon. You can have that very soon. πŸ˜„ And maybe in a new KrisLine bikini!! 😍

    • Kind of wish these companies did bathing suits also...

    • Kind of wish these companies did bathing suits also...

    • Sovavosi KL does swimsuits!!

    • MamaPagan I wear those string bikinis ;)

    • AprilGoulding Totally missed that in the catalogue! They don't list the hip measurements though.

    • Sovavosi the hip measurements would be in their fashion catalog and should be the same.

@AprilGoulding I can totally see that for you, haha!

    • 1

They're not associated with the one piece though. I would think manufacturers assume a fixed underbust to hip ratio. In other words, not going to work for me unless very stretchy.

    • 1

In Atlanta the school systems are scared of embarrassing themselves like a couple of years ago during our "snowpocalypse" when the whole world laughed at us grinding to a halt with 2 inches of snow. So they canceled school 24 hours in advance for yesterday with a predicted 1.5 inches. We got no snow to play in, just kids cooped up at home! It was 45 degrees in the morning! Today however it was 23 degrees when my kiddos went to school, and that is super cold for Atlanta. I can't even imagine what some of you are facing!

    • We don't really consider it "facing" lol
We are used to it and equipped for it. We're a hardy crowd ;)
      I just don't like it.

    • Sovavosi Damn I didn't think about that. :-( Sorry. If only Ewa did one pieces. You know she woyld factor both parts separately. .....

In MT, School was still a go with 24" of fresh snow and 25F below, all they did was cancel the buses but kids were still expected to go to school. Snow days didn't exist. But when snow is on the ground at least 9 months out of the year, it wouldn't be much of an education system if they didn't work around it, right?

Magda - MagdaBras4you - has sent me 6 Krisline bras now, all in size 65G, and this one is hands down my favorite! Straight out of the box it had narrow, U-shaped wires with nicely projected cups and it gave me a nice tack. I mention this, because I usually have to bend my KL wires, because they are wider than I need. After I do that, they fit perfectly and then tack too! But for this style, no bra surgery was required. Yes, I have a small wrinkle near the gore - I am wide set AND projected, and so I ... experience this in every bra I own, yes, even in Ewa Michalak BMs.

I also noticed that the wires are softer on this bra. Everything about this bra is incredible soft. The lace, the lining, the appearance...it is a black bra, but it has a true delicate, feminine lightness to it. I wore it all day yesterday and forgot that I was wearing it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Unlike all of my other KL bras, this one has no embroidery on the cups. It's just all beautifu lace - 2 different kinds. On the bottom of the cup is a thinner, more delicately pattered lace, which is lined in a thicker beige lining. On the top panel, the lining is thinner/finer and the lace is thicker, more intricately patterned. Gorgeous, subtle effect.

The lacing detail on the gore is pretty. Like all my KLs, the wings are low, have a side boning (doesn't jab at all!) and the band is TTS, made of mesh, which has a nice stretch to it, but is far from flimsy. I don't see it stretching out too quickly.

Straps are embroidered on the front like all my KLs, so they're technically only half adjustable - but if you work hard enough, you can move the adjuster up over the embroidery (although I have not had to, and I like my straps short and tight!)

There is also a narrow elastic on the top of the cups...all my KLs have it, and I love it. It gives a pretty shirred effect along the top of the cup. Super pretty.

The matching panties are classic bikinis, cut narrow at the hip, but with moderate-full coverage at the back. Very high quality materials and construction as I have come to expect from KL. IMO, Krisline makes the BEST panties EVER. Their bikinis and brazilians are amazing. I'll choose them over any other brand every time. The bikinis for this set are sheer black mesh on the back, doubled at the leg line, creating a nearly invisible panty line (unless your clothes are super thin and tight). The front is thick beige knitwear with black lace accents. Fit is classic, TTS, Small (i.e. smaller than EM size 36).

I continue to be impressed by Kris Line products and will keep buying them. They are excellent quality at a decent price.

    • I agree rachaelll , AprilGoulding your photography does a great job of making the product look good! Maybe you can start a side biz as an Instagrammer... I hear from so many of these young wannabe "influencers" who get offers from makers of protein powders or diet teas but struggle to get desirable fashion brands to work with them. They think it's just about looking good themselves and don't understand it's about showing off a beautiful embroidery or a great cut of clothing to its best advantage.

Belinda is a beautiful white bra with classic 3-part full cup balcony.
Lower cup is lace with a very delicate, fine paisley embroidery and is lined with mesh so that it is semi-transparent.
Upper part is heavily embroidered mesh/lace with a floral pattern.
There is a narrow elastic at the back of the top section. On this model, this elastic is wider than on my other styles - almost 1cm. I don't bust out the top of my KLs and I like the shirred effect the elastic gives at the top of the cup.
Center cradle is covered with same lace as lower cup.
Sides of cradle ... are covered with the same embossed satin that the front of the panties are made from.
The gore is embellished with a white satin bow and clear crystal rhinestone in a tear drop shape.
The straps have a small white satin bow and the embroidery that is on all of my Krisline bras.
The strap slider can be worked over the embroidery so that they are fully adjustable. BTW - Krisline straps are longer than Ewa Michalak straps - by over 2" in my size. So, if you tend to need longer straps, KL may work for you.
Band is TTS for 65 -measures 65cm unstretched and can easily get to 77cm before wires distort. Very comfortable band length for me, and with 4 sets of hooks there's a lot of room for adjustment.
Wings and band are strong, matte white satin knitwear. There IS side-boning.
Materials are all very high quality and very soft to touch.
Straight out of the package, the wires were too wide for me, and I didn't get a tack at the gore. However, just like with all my KL bras, I bent them into a narrower, deeper U shape and now it tacks and fits perfectly.
The matching brazilian panties (stringo-szorty) has very pretty double-flutter mesh back with embossed satin front and embroidery panel that matches the top of the bra cup. KL figs tend to fit small (like Gorsenias), so I always take a size S (whereas I would take an XS in UK and NA brands)
Another win for me from Krisline.

Thank you to MagdaBras4you for helping me to get this gorgeous, feminine set.

Side note: I also have the petticoat/babydoll from this collection, in black. It is pretty amazing also, in appearance and quality and fit and- the best part - my breasts don't fall out of it during the night. Anybody else have this "problem" with sexy nighties? I sure do https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />

I feel like I could copy and past my review of the Black Diamond Plunge bra right here. The straps are painfully wide-set. The cups are too wide, too shallow, the underwires a Nike swoosh. The cup fabric is comfortable and the push-up padding is impressive.

What's really disappointing to me is just how much I wanted this bra to work out. The design is stunning. I love the navy blue, I love the delicate flowers, I love the ruched fabric. This bra is absolutely beautiful and it kills me that it isn't compatible with my breast shape.

I cant believe I'm saying this but - I wonder if taking in the gore would make it fit? try pinching the bottom of the gore together - apparently for some people it brings the empty outer part of the cup in where you need it, and makes it feel deeper?

    • 1

Agree with dbmamaz Try pinning it and see if that helps, it does for me sometimes. It'll tip the cups so the top is more open. It's a simple alteration and can be reversed if it doesn't work or you sell it.

    • 1

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking I'd just sell it and maybe replace it with a Kama Semi-Soft, but I'd love to see if this bra is salvageable. My big problem is the strap width.

    • Unfortunately, I don't think it'll do much for the straps. It might bring them in a *smidge* but not anything great. You'd need to move them in yourself. Not difficult, but may not be worth it if you can sell it and replace with something better.

      It sure is stunning.

I absolutely adore this bra. The silver color is fabulous and the details on the lace are to die for. Moreover, this bra is really close to being my perfect bra. The wires are narrow enough for me, the band is pleasantly firm, and the cups are projected enough for me right by the center gore (as I have center fullness, that's where I need it the most).

I do have a few complaints. The gore is higher than I like and enjoys sitting on the tissue of my right breast, for one, but it's not uncomfortable unless I wear it for a really, really long day. Also, the ... elastic at the top of the lace is kind of weird; the lace itself continues the projection of the cup and is almost too projected for me, but then where the elastic hits my breast tissue hasn't ended yet so it almost goes into quad-boob... odd shape, not quite right for me, but not nearly enough of an issue to get me to stop wearing this gorgeous bra. I picked it up on a Zulily sale a few months ago and have been pleased with it ever since, especially since my breasts grew to fill it better.

It is a bit shallow in the center of the cups which was disappointing, but I also think that might be because I got a size or two too small.

So this bra is obviously too big on me, but other than that it’s pretty cool. I adore the color and patten, it looks very sexy and stylish. Even though it's too big you can still see how it's supposed to lift and shape my breasts.

Oddly, the wider wires (for me) aren’t bothering me. I’m not sure why. The straps are too wide, though, which sucks, and is really my only major complaint.

One thing I find odd is that the gore doesn’t tack. It just sort of floats away from meβ€”it touches at the bottom and not at the top. Maybe it’s because my breasts don’t quite fill the cups? It tacks if I stick my chest out like a pidgeon.

Absolutely adorable bra. I’ll probably save it in case my breasts go through another growth spurt.

After my roaring success with the Sharon half-padded bra, I went back to Kris Line for some more. Sadly, this bra was a disappointment.

The straps are set waaay too far apart. Wearing it for more than a very short period of time is painful as the very lacy straps rub my armpits raw. Also, the underwires are in a Nike swoosh shape instead of the U shape I like, and they're way too wide. The cups are much too shallow, as well. I'm pretty sure the only reading that I got a measurement of 9 inches for the cup depth is because the cups are so very wide. ... Also, the band is much, much too loose--I had to hook it on the tightest hook from the very beginning in order to feel comfortable.

Positive aspects include the very low, narrow gore. The padding is very impressive and I highly recommend this bra to anyone looking for a push-up. The cup fabric is soft and very nice. It is a very sexy looking bra, just not comfortable for my body and breast shape.

Does not fit a 30, is only 27 inches stretched. Having tried a few other Kris Line Semi Soft bras I thought for sure this one would fit, but it's a full size smaller in the band.

Gorgeous bra, but the inconsistent sizing is going to drive me crazy.

Runs two sizes smaller than every other Kris Line bra I've tried, and I've tried several. In the G and under size range, Kris Line normally runs fairly true to size. This bra fits closer to a 30F than a 30G.

Well, on the downside, the cups in this bra definitely run small. I need at least one more size up for the gore to have a chance at tacking. On the upside, I get *ridiculous* cleavage with this bra. There's a lot of padding in the bottom like a push-up, and it just puts EVERYTHING front and center. It's my go-to cleavage creator, my favorite "boob bra." I actually don't even feel terribly unsupported despite the too small cups. Everything more or less stays in place.

This bra is also, hands-down, the more gorgeous one I've ever had the good fortune to own. It's just beautiful. The lace along the bottom is detailed and delicate - it's layered to create a lovely depth effect. The fabric is soft and silky. The ripple/pleating ornamentation on the cups themselves is top quality. I could go on, but let's just assume that this bra is absolutely fantastic in terms of design.

The band size is rather tight for a 30. It's not really bothersome when I'm standing, but it cuts into me when I'm sitting for a lengthy period. It didn't really stretch out even after I wore it a few times.
Cup size is also a little small. It may fit seemingly fine when you put it on, but once you start moving, you wont stay in it.
The straps fit comfortably. They don't slide off the shoulders and are wide enough that they don't cut in.
