Great fit. The band fits like my cleo maya 30"....both on the tightest setting....so maybe this brand does run small in the band...The cups fit great. The straps on three of my four L'Agent bras are just long enough....so this could be a problem for those with low breasts.
Fun, sexy design for a slighter build. Only two clips on the band so not super supportive if you have a lot of projection or soft tissue. The bra strips over the cups are soft and comfy with ample stretch.
The cup and band material feels nice and not scratchy. Supportive cup mesh...not flimsy. Had to adjust nips so they were lower in the cup so not ideal for FOT types...I'm FOB so it works. They stayed put.
This seems tts...I usually fit 30dd/e and my three 32Ds fit great. My LA freya does not fit in the cup as it's a 32c (need the D) and that one has a looser band.... it was bought on gilt....maybe it's a second??
So of course this bra required some minor work, such as taking the band in and taking the wires from 5.5 to 5.25. It's not a "technical fit" but I didn't buy it for power lifting. It's very pretty, and so far seems to be good quality. Subtle shaping and a fairly minimized profile works nicely under my breezy summer clothes, and it allows more room at the wire that I thought it would! Full review on the blog.
All these posts showing pretty bras from Agent Provocateur encouraged me to revisit the one I bought ages ago. I bent the wires in and now it fits me pretty much as well as yours fits you. The band is a little big but the cup fits pretty darn perfect on my smaller breast and I'm sure the quad in my bigger one won't be so noticeable after this week ends. They don't provide much support but they're so cute. The Casie is such a cute bra and it looks nice on you.
I keep trying to vote up on your comment and it votes it down lol. Idk what thats' about. I definitely expect to have to alter AP bras, but they're pretty and in this case I didn't care lol!
Thank you for this review. We don't have enough Agent Provocateur or L'Agent reviews. Such a pretty bra, too!
Thanks! I'll have an AP Phoenix review before too long as well, but from the looks of it and the numbers Kerniss gave me it's going to take a lot more work than this one did to make it wearable lol.

Fun, sexy, simple design for a slighter build. Only two clips on the band so not super supportive. Probably not a style if you have a lot of projection, are FOT, have shallow/wide breasts or have tissue. The wires fit great so do not seem very long IMO. Pretty, decorative cup fabric....I wasn't sure about it online...but quite pretty IRL.
The material is nice and feels supportive. I am wondering if I should have sized up...slight quad boob...not bad though.
The cups seem tts as I usually fit a 30dd/e...my three 32Ds fit great. My LA freya does not fit in a 32C and that has the looser band....but it was bought on gilt....maybe it's a second??

This is meant for shallow, wide FOB shapes with more separated boobs. This is decidedly the opposite of my own shape. It does very minimal lifting (and gives me the upside down 7 shape, unfortunately). Still, a very funny and cute bra. I love this dumb design and wish it was a better fit. UPDATE: With some strategic bending and a gore alteration, the fit is immensely improved. It won't look good under tight shirts but it is definitely wearable.
Holy smokes, this bra is the sexiest thing I own (with matching ouvert panty? Ooo la la!) Does it fit? Sort of.... Can I wear it in public? God no, unless I want my nipples popping out to say hello. The top edge of the cup juuuust barely covers them, and if I lean forward or lift my arms, it's all over with. Pretty sure this bra is meant to be a demi, not a quarter cup! That said, I can't bear to give it up.
Pros: I looooove the wide straps (more than an inch at their widest!) the lipstick red satin with gold hardware, the extreme ...lift
Cons: The nipple thing, plus it was pretty expensive for a "bedroom bra" https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I probably could have gone up in the band for a little more ease of wear and gotten more cup volume while I was at it, but that's hindsight for you.
In the meantime, I'm banking on working out again and losing some of this boob weight in hopes that I can make this thing work. Read more 75 more words
My shape: average root width; tall, shallow roots; even fullness; projected; very soft breasts.
This bra is the wrong cup size and band size for me. The band is the smallest that L'agent make, and it does run small - stretching to 32 inches max before the wires/cups distort - but, with my snug underbust of 27, is too big, even on the tightest hook. The cups are also both too wide and too shallow - the wires sit about 2 cm away from my IMF on the side, the gore sits on breast tissue, etc etc.
I think if I got a cup bigger (which was not available when ...I first bought this, but L'agent now make all their bras up to an E cup) it would be the right depth for me, though the wires would then be even wider.
The cup itself is open on top (it's a demi bra, with the cup finishing *just* above my areoles) and supportive enough to make me feel lifted and naturally shaped. I tend to prefer wires that follow my IMF more closely because they hold my very soft tissue better - if you have firmer tissue, the wire width should not a be a problem for you.
I am definitely going to try this bra style from L'agent in an E cup to see how it fits.
My experience with this brand so far suggests that their bras run a band size small and a cup size small, i.e. the 32DDs fit like 30DDs. (My size is usually a 28F, so 32DD ought to be a sister size for me, but the cups are definitely too small.) Read more 165 more words
My shape: average root width; shallow, tall roots; projected; even fullness; very soft breasts.
How this bra fits me: the wires are absolutely perfect for my roots, following my IMF exactly. There is also lots of room for immediate projection. The bra doesn't have the apex projection I need, though, and squashes me, giving me rather a flat look from the side (see pictures). The top also cuts in. Because it isn't quite big enough for me, the sternum digs at the top, becoming extremely painful after about thirty minutes. I would be very interested to try this bra in a E cup (which L'agent now do!).
The band on this runs exactly one band size small. Stretched, it runs to 30 inches exactly. I therefore recommend this bra to anyone who is a thirty band. And if you are a 32 band, I suggest you size up.
In my pictures, I am wearing the band on the tightest hook.
Beautiful bra, with a band that a previous owner altered. Perhaps a bit too tight for my rib cage, but time will tell. Not much support but seems to fit okay. Once again, my right breast is wanting to slightly quad. The gore is very low and my centre fullness is barely contained. The cups are very sheer and provide a natural lift with some minimization. Probably won't fit during shark week. I currently have the straps as long as they can go to prevent quadding. Someone with less upper fullness than me could get away with tighter straps which would provide more support. It probably sounds like I hate this bra, but I don't. It's pretty and very light to wear. I'm not sure how comfortable I will find the tightened band, but I am also planning on loosing some weight so that might not be an issue.
This is a *serious* push-up bra - there's a definite "heaving Regency bosom" effect. The nude colour is gorgeous and the satin fabric is pretty. It's also *very* low cut, which means I finally have something I can wear under a dress that I used to go braless under (sadly no more due to going up a couple of cup sizes/gravity) without the top of my bra showing.
As a previous reviewer said, it has a very firm band - I could possibly have got away with a 34 but the shop didn't have one, and the 32 doesn't seem circulation-cutting-off tight. I'll see how it goes with a bit of wear. Cups are also quite shallow and not particularly big, if you're more projected you'd probably need to go up a size.
I wish I could find this in a 32E just so I could compare fit differences... BUT. This band is extremely loose - it's basically a 34 - and this bra is just not meant for actual, practical wear. The ribbon at the top cuts in on my soft tissue. I imagine this is meant (yet again) for more FOB, shallow breasts. Surprisingly, the fit was almost alright on my little boob (but not quite). Somehow I still love this design and look, though, because it seems that I'm increasingly into bras that would have horrified me when puberty hit.
I think that's how its supposed to fit. Because I think it's supposed to be slinky and badroom rather then as you said for normal wear.
Something I've tried that really helps with that little bit of quading is hand washing the bra in warm water aka taking it in the shower with me, then wearing it while it drys. It's like as the fabric does it's thing and the minor shrinking happens then the top edge relaxes a bit and the rest of the cup kind works with me better.
I totally know what you mean about the horror - I wear so many things now I would have sworn were the worst. Aesthetic of this bra reminds me a lot of the Elle Macpherson Intimates Daisy Chains Contour Bra (E72-979) (discontinued now that it's Heidi Klum intimates but still some floating around on ebay, and in drawers like mine)
cjarasmith , that's a great tip! I didn't know I could do that. I'll definitely try that out. I also totally agree - it's more of an indoor/private bra than anything, though I can see it being fine under heavy sweaters or extremely flowy shirts. mailiana I was one of those girls who HATED anything vaguely feminine which is why it's actually really funny to me that I am completely about these looks now, lol! Also, I looked it up and this one in particular is the Lolitta's more practical twin, you're completely right!: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/NEW-ELLE-MACPHERSON-DAISY-CHAIN-CONTOUR-BRA-SZ-32DD-TICKET-PRICE-WAS-32-/401102411415?hash=item5d63911697:g:93UAAOSwLN5Wjq0r
I went to try on L'Agent by Agent Provocateur bras at Nordstrom. The color Neon Melon for the Vanesa bra is unbelievably neon. It doesn't look that way in photos, either on the company website or Nordstrom's. I was able to try it on in my sister size of 32E. I quickly put my white technical T-shirt back on, shielding myself from the blinding color. The T-shirt revealed a stunning flaw in the design of the bra. The area where the main part of the cup meets an extra bit of lace at the top center of each cup causes a diagonal ridge, about an inch long and ...highly visible under clothes. This occurred whether I fastened the bra on the tightest hooks, which makes this a sister size to my usual UK 30F, or whether I fasten it on looser hooks. The salesperson said, when I told her about this unfortunate feature, that they haven't sold many Vanesa bras.
Even if I wanted to buy this bra despite the fluorescent color, the design flaw would make it suitable only under thick or structured clothing. I don't need an unlined bra for that. By the way, I love bright, clear colors in my lingerie and clothing. My aversion to Neon Melon comes simply from being human. Read more 108 more words
I went to look at L'Agent by Agent Provocateur bras at Nordstrom. I love trying on L'Agent by Agent Provocateur bras and the more upscale Agent Provocateur bras because they have very low coverage cups, a rarity for someone who wears UK 30F. Low coverage cups make me feel sexy and normal in Braland.
The Mint color for the Idalia bra, an unlined. underwired bra, is a beautiful icy mint green. This brand's bras' colors sometimes look much worse in person than online.
This brand starts at a 32 band. However, their bands often run small. Unfortunately for me, their cups often run small, too. Most days I wear ...Ewa Michalak 65F 3D bras. Sometimes I wear Panache UK 30F bras that have super low gores. I am sometimes sized out of L'Agent by Agent Provocateur bras, even if they technically make a bra available in my sister sizes of 32E and 34DD.
I tried the 34DD Mint color Idalia bra. I got that flattened in front look, as if I were pressing my torso up against a window. I tried on a 36DD. The cup volume was correct. The straps were far too wide set and the cups much higher coverage than L'Agent is designed for, but the cups clearly fit much better than the 34DD Idalia. The seams were less visible under a white technical T-shirt in 36DD. This is remarkable because not only is this bra not lined, it has two front sections that overlap diagonally. There's a pretty good photo you can zoom in on on the Nordstrom site here: http://shop.nordstrom.com/o/lagent-by-agent-provocateur-bra-thong/4053031?origin=category&BaseUrl=Bras%2c+Panties+%26+Lingerie
There is a 34E in one of the San Francisco Nordstroms, according to their computers. I'm going to the Oscar de la Renta exhibit in SF this weekend. I may be able to try Idalia on in 34E soon. If I do, I'll try to take picture and/or measurements. There wasn't time to capture either during today's visit. Read more 214 more words
The L'Agent by Agent Provocateur bra called Grace is available at Nordstrom in a color called Blush/Gold. Online it looks like a soft peach color. In real life, it looks light neon orange. The store didn't have any of my sister sizes (32E, 34DD, 36D), so I can't speak to sizing. The 32DD I tried on was predictably way too small and caused quadboob. I just wanted to warn everybody about the color. I had thought it would be a good nude-for-me, unpadded bra for summer, but the color alone makes the room feel ten degrees warmer. The lace material is a little scratchy, like most of this diffusion line's lace. It's not as bad as some I've tried from, say, Cleo.
This bra is almost perfect for me. It's gorgeous both on and off and the comfort is unbelievable. The wire perfectly encircles my breasts and doesn't poke me under the arms. The gore tacks (the underwires are placed pretty close together-they almost touch) which is something that doesn't happen often. The bra provides moderate support and the cup is fine on top. However, the band on this bra is tight, something that doesn't bother me too much because I know it should stretch eventually. The straps are only partially adjustable. All these I can live with and I would call it the perfect bra for me if not ...the shape it gives me. I feel like sadly, it's shape is not compatible with my shape. It doesn't really give me a round profile but it's so comfy that I don't really care about that. What I do care about is that somehow this bra gives me very slight quadboob *in* the cup itself-even though the top lies smoothly, there's not enough stretch or something in the middle seam that causes this slight quadboob. Because of this, if I could have returned the bra I would have but as it was unreturnable, and as, quite frankly, everything else is perfect I have chosen to keep this bra instead of reselling it. Out of curiosity, if you put a bra extender on to lessen the stress on the cups, does the in-cup quad boobing go away?
I have no idea...I don't own a bra extender. I've learned from another user that this bra is not the best for me anyway. I'll pick up a bra extender next time I'm out and see if it helps, it's a good idea.
The shiny red satin cups of the L'Agent by Agent Provocateur Danita Bra are very low cut. Of all the bras I've tried in my size (UK 30F, typically) and sister size (UK 32E) that fit, the Danita has the skimpiest coverage. This is the stereotypically sexy look half cup bras are known for, and it's happening for little ole me! Usually half cup bras look full coverage on me. I'm in that middle ground of shallow vs. projected, but I do have a tall root on a petite frame, and I benefit from the open tops of half cups and bands on the high side. In a ...bra, I'm quite full on top. Out of a bra, even to full on top. I can wear 30F full cups in Fantasie, 30F balconettes in Panache, and 30FF balconettes in Cleo, with no gapping or wrinkling, but I get tired of my torso being 1/3 covered in bra.
There are a few minor fit issues with the Danita, but not enough for me to cite them in the How It Fits section of this Bratabase entry. For example, the straps feel a touch too wide, an unusual occurrence on my petite but broad shoulders. My right boob is the smaller, and as my shoulder pushes the right strap forward, it can create a slight gap where the right cup attaches to the strap. This doesn't show under clothes.
What does show under some clothes is the top line of the cups. The padding in the Danita is not tapered much toward the top of the cups. A thin strip of the same red satin material covering the cups is sewn down at the top edges to finish it off. It looks elegant, but it shows through a lot of knits. The padding isn't pushup, but it feels thicker than the padding in my Fauve padded half cups or my Ewa Michalak 3Ds. The Danita's padding resembles that of Ewa Michalak's Pl Onyks in thickness. The L'Agent cups end so much lower, near the most projected part of my boobs, that the line at the top of the cups is thrust against my top more than in my Ewa 3Ds or Pl, which are higher coverage.
L'Agent by Agent Provocateur is not a particularly high end line. The prices are in the $70 USD range at least partly because of the celebrity associated with the line. I'm not expecting the fine tuned fit detailing typical of, say, Fauve or Prima Donna.
The gore is 2.75" high, which is 1.25" higher than I prefer. However, this bra is exceptionally plush. I feel no stabbing from the gore. It has to be resting on breast tissue the top 1.25," but I can't feel it. The band feels silky. Nothing about this bra needs to be broken in. In cushiness, it resembles the Chantelle Hausmann T-shirt Bra. The Danita is more lightly built and doesn't have the Hausmann's epically thick, blocky feel. The Danita's straps are satiny but have the minuscule amount of adjustability L'Agent by Agent Provocateur keeps foisting on us.
I can forgive the Danita a few idiosyncrasies because of how sexy, beautiful and comfortable the it is. Read more 423 more words
If this had been the first and only bra I ever tried on, I'd be thrilled with it. The low coverage, gorgeous purple color (much more vivid than product photos from Nordstrom and lagentbyap.com indicate), and sheer lacy cups are stunning. I tried the Electric Purple L'Agent by Agent Provocateur Monica Bra in 32E because the bra doesn't come in 30F. The band stretches to a bit over 31," which would be tight enough for me. The wires are wide enough, and the materials are soft. There's boning in the wings that feel more comfortable and less rigid than most boning I've encountered.
Unfortunately the cups run ...small, so my sister size 32E causes quadboob. The straps don't adjust short enough because they are only 1/3 adjustable. These minimally adjustable straps pervade the L'Agent by Agent Provocateur line.
If they did make this in a 32F or 30FF, I believe the cups would still be very low coverage on petite me. They are the lowest coverage cups near my size range I've ever tried on. My Ewa Michalak 3D Karmielki in 65F (UK 30F) is slightly higher coverage than the Monica. My Karmielki is a good fit, and I would consider it truer to size than the Monica.
The Monica Bra is a comfortable, beautiful bra that needs to be made in 30FF in Electric Purple. Read more 117 more words
It fits, but it isn't very flattering. The zipper toggles will show under any shirt - and the zipper seams make for a pointy shape. Grant it this probably isn't the most functional of bras (or probably meant to be) - but I don' think it is overly sexy or amazing. It is just ... strange? If this bra had been built without zippers, I think it could be a nice comfy weekend bra. The fabric is very stretchy and meshy.
I bought this online from Nordstrom.com. Nowhere on their product page does it mention the L'Agent by Agent Provocateur's Penelope Underwire Balcony Bra is a pushup. Ye gads, what a pushup!
The color is gorgeous and my ideal nude-for-me. This is an extremely chest baring bra. I tried it on under a Ted Baker evening top that has deep Vs in front and back. I've been searching for a short strapless bra to wear under this top, and failing. Wonderbra, Gossard, Panache...the list of tall cupped strapless bras contains every single one I've tried. Then I tried the Penelope under this top. It's so low in ...height that it doesn't show! I almost kept this bra for this reason alone, too narrow wires be damned.
I almost kept the Penelope, despite its cups being too small. Besides being the perfect color, accurately rendered online at nordstrom.com and barenecessities.com, the Penelope has a surprisingly firm band for a 32. I usually wear 30 bands. While I can stretch the Penelope to 32," I pull bands much farther than most people do when measuring for Bratabase. Penelope's band feels as firm as most Fauve 30 bands.
Penelope's straps are fully adjustable. With its true-to-size 32" band, the divine color, and the amazingly low coverage cups, this bra may yet end up in my wardrobe, as a band-shortened 34E. Read more 122 more words
